*Easy* Butterfly Locs Tutorial Only $45! (Bob Length On Medium/Long Hair)

THANK YOU MY LOVES FOR 7.36K SUBS WE'RE ON THE ROAD TO 10K

Hi loves Today's video is a tutorial on how I achieved these distressed, faux locs, also known as butterfly locs This was a super easy beginner friendly tutorial. I spent around $45 for this style.... compared to the hundreds these stylists are charging! FREE GAME SISTERS. I used the crochet method to achieve these faux locs. I used 2 pieces of the freetress crochet hair (16 inches) to create each loc and used the spring twist hair that I cut in half to wrap around the root of each braid. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask in the comments! I hope y'all enjoyed the video. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe!

*EASY* BUTTERFLY LOCS TUTORIAL ONLY $45! (bob length on medium/long hair)

Hey loves, welcome and welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is samil jalisa or you just call me samil, but in today's video i'm going to be showing you guys how i achieved these beautiful butterfly locks in a bob y'all. This is the cutest hairstyle i've ever done. Y'All know i've been doing locks. I did three other lock videos if you guys want to see i'll link those down below, but all these are super super super cute. If you like this video, don't forget to give this video a good thumbs up subscribe to my channel. Give me a comment down below. Let me know how you felt about this hairstyle. If you want to try it, if you have tried it, let me know i want to know everything: okay, so enough talking, let's just hop right into the video, so i used the freetress water wave hair for this look and i also used some pre-fluffed spring twist - Hair, the water wave hair that i found was already looped, so that was a game changer. So i suggest you guys get that one. I only had to use two packs because it came with three in it so y'all and it was only like twenty dollars. A pack, so this style only really cost like forty something dollars so period, but i took the loops i put the crochet in and i took the loops and i took two of them because i wanted them to be a little thicker and one just didn't seem. Like enough, i looped it in the hole, and i put it through the root of the braid. This is basically just how you do any crochet style any of my videos you've seen this has always stayed the same, and i took both of the loops and i wrapped it around the braid to connect it. This just makes it for an easier removal um. It just doesn't cost really any stress on your hair and it's just easy to take out, which is why i do it this way. So here i'm just looping it with the braid and then, since this hair was already pre-looped, it was kind of like a little twist on them. So you pull it to make it as loose as you want to make it easier to wrap around the braid and everything like that, and once i got it attached, i just pulled the hair to make it tighter. So it was like at the root. If that makes any sense, you can see it right here and i just made sure that it was tight on there. It wasn't going to slip out or anything like that. I don't think it was going to slip out anyway, but i just did it like that and then after this i'm just going to fluff the hair out just to make it easier to wrap. Because personally, i think it looks better once it's like just fully fluffed. So i actually found this tip in another video and i thought it was really smart. I just took a really small piece of the spring twist hair and i wrapped it around the root. Just just adds more security to it, because the water hair isn't as like a rough texture as spring twist or passion twist, or something like that. Marley hair anything. So i just took it just to wrap around the root just to make sure that everything was secure and then once i got to that part, i'm going to put the rest of the spring to his hair. My braid and a small piece of the water wave hair in one hand, and then the other, is what i'm going to use to wrap. So i'm going to wrap with a lot of the water wave hair and that is going to help me make it extra stressed as possible and create the butterfly effect. So, with the same hand, that you're holding your braid, the water wave, hair and the spring to his hair, the other hand you're gon na wrap around but with the same hand, that you're holding those three pieces you're going to stick your thumb out and that's what You'Re going to use to catch the hair each time you wrap with the other hand, it's so simple, y'all like it may look a little tricky, but it's so simple and it's just like kind of natural when you're wrapping like your finger, just always get cut in It anyway, so you just wrap, wrap, wrap and you want to wrap tight, though just so it has some security, but it's still going to be a stress, because if you wrap too loose, it's going to feel like like it's nothing there, especially if your hair is Shorter than the length that you're doing you want it to feel as like, secure as possible, so still wrap tight, but just keep your finger, your thumb to be exact out to catch the hair. Every time you wrap and that's going to create the distressed, butterfly look and it's super super super cute. Once you get to the length you want you're going to take out a piece of the water wave, hair and you're going to wrap really really tight towards the end. Just once again for that security and then you're going to fold the hair up, leaving that one strand out and that's what you're going to use to secure the end of the hair, so nothing unravels so you're just going to take it and wrap. You see i'm wrapping tightly here and then eventually, i'm going to fold it up and then i'm going to take that piece and wrap it around the base. At the end and after you secure the end, you just wrap going back up. So if you miss any pieces that wasn't extra stress, this is your chance to make it as stressed as you want, and then i'm just going to take it and i'm going to tie it in a knot like one or two times. This doesn't cause any harm. I'Ve taken out one of the butterfly locks to redo some of them, and it was pretty easy to take out so it doesn't harm it or anything. That'S just how i secured it, because i felt like the water wave hair. Just wasn't rough enough just to twist tightly and it stayed so that is just what i did for that. Okay, so the rest, i'm just going to let you guys watch it's all the same technique, the same, i'm just doing the last two braids in my head. I really hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did don't forget to like it subscribe to my channel comment down below any questions you have for me, but yeah, i'm just gon na let it play before it was in real time. This should just sped up. Just a little bit, but it's all the same technique. It looks like i feel, like you, can see it better but yeah. I really hope you guys enjoy it and i'm gon na keep talking and let you guys watch turn it up. So you
