Here's an alternate link to a flat iron that is similar to mine since I couldn't find the link: https://www.amazon.com/BaBylissPRO-Tit...

Hey y'all welcome back to my youtube channel today, i'll be showing you how to achieve this long, braided ponytail my model today is genesis and i'm just showing you guys that she has already been washed and dried and her hair is clean and free of all oils. Now for this look, i will be pressing out her hair because i want it to be super sleek, and this braid is a really soft style, so i will be protecting her hair by using my fantasia ic heat, protecting spray and it smells so good. I think i paid like probably about eight dollars at my local beauty. Supply store for it, and now all you see me doing is basically just making sure that her hair is detangled before i start to go in and fly it on it and just to make it easier for me to go through and part her hair into four Sections which you will see so now, all i'm doing is sectioning off her hair um because i'm about to start pressing it out - and i actually didn't section it off into fours automatically. But i started to section it off and force as i was pressing it out to flat iron her hair. I am using my babyliss pro titanium flat irons, which are really really good um. If i can find the description, um, not the description, but if i can find the link to where i purchased them, i will link it down in the description box below so now, i'm just going in and i'm showing y'all like how sleek her hair is and Then another thing that i want to mention when doing this hairstyle, you really want to make sure that you don't have very blunt ends just for the simple fact that, while you're braiding, those blunt ends will stick out of the braid, and that's not the look that You want to go for i mean unless you're going for, like a really i don't know, i guess like a messy kind of style, but if you have blunt ends with this braid, they will stick out so so now that we have her all pressed out, i Am going to be combing, her hair straight back because she wants a kind of high ponytail, but not very high, so we're going to do it midway and i will be sectioning off her hair into three sections because we want each section to have its own placement. Like we want each section to have its own hold, because i found that if you automatically start to put product on it and just try to comb it straight back in one like, as in one ponytail, that you tend to run into like clumps or like uh Knots when you're trying to comb it through or get that like very sleek foundation, so i started to separate my sections and mold each section on its own. So, to start my first multi i would be using the extra home jam and i'm just putting a little bit on the tip of my comb and combing her hair, like dispersing the product evenly onto her hair until it's to my satisfaction, um, even though the jam Says extra hole. We all know that jam is not really extra. It'S actually very greasy, so just make sure that you don't use too much of that product when molding the hair. So right here you can kind of get an idea of what i was saying when i was talking about the different moldings. So once i molded the bottom half i just hair clip hair clipped it and, as you can see, i'm molding the second part now and instead of molding that one like clipping it separately, how i have the bottom clipped i'm going to unclip the bottom and just Bring all of that together into one even mode and i'll do the same thing for the top. So now i'm just going in with my 24 hour edge tamer. This is honestly one of the best edge controllers that i use um. It doesn't flake and it holds it holds up for the most part. So i'm just taking a little bit on the tip of my comb and i am putting it on her edges and you'll see me fluctuate between a comb and a toothbrush and a spoolie just because i, if i don't like the foundation i'll try to use something Different until it's to my satisfaction, okay, so now i am just basically just brushing, through her hair, making sure that it's smooth to my liking, no kinks, no knots um. If i do feel a kink, you will see me use my spiked brush just to comb through it, because the regular hair brush it just comes on the surface versus to the spiked hair brush. It actually gets down to the roots in case the hair does start to knot up, and you also want to make sure that you use a hair tie. That does not have a metal clasp on it, because the middle class will break your hair off and also try to avoid using rubber bands on your hair. So now i'm just putting a styling strip around her edges so that they can mold in place. While we apply the braid to her hair for her braid i'll, be using the brand roula and 1b pre-stretched braiding hair, so in the roux pack of hair it comes in three different individual. I guess you can say like bundles, so i took one of the entire bundle and i'm just laying it across the top of her head so that the bottom portion that's attached to the ponytail is going to be shorter than the one. That'S laying at the top of her head and i'm using a rubber band for this portion, because it's not actually on her hair. Well, it is, but it's a very loose rubber band. This is the rubber band that was holding together the bundle, so i just use that and i don't wrap it around many times. I just wrap it around enough to hold the braiding hair in place because, again this is a soft braid and we do not want to use hair pins. We all know what happens when we get that one annoying hairpin, that's stuck in our hair and we can't find it so we end up taking the whole entire hairstyle down, and we don't want that. So i'm just evenly dispersing the braiding hair over her hair and i'm showing you how the bottom is significantly shorter than the top and we're just going to pull that top part back down over the rest of the braiding hair and just cover it disperse it evenly. And then we're going to actually pull a small piece of the braiding hair from the shorter section and when we pull it from the sort of the shorter section. Oh, my god, i can't talk we're going to actually wrap that around the hair tie, so that it can look a lot more natural and we're going to seal it by using our got to be holding spray again instead of a hairpin. So, as you can see, as i start braiding, i am combing through that braiding hair, so that it doesn't kink up. Oh my god, y'all know. If y'all have ever worked with braiding hair y'all know it will tangle quicker than you can count and do it like. We got time for that. No so try to comb through the braiding hair as you go, because i promise you if you never had no braiding hair tangle up on you, you're gon na find out what it's like that day, but i'm just using the basic three strand, braiding method, all the Way down and i tried to get a couple clips of me feeding in the braid - i'm not really sure if you can see it but um. This is a feed-in method. Unless you get longer hair, you will have to feed in the braid. Depending on how long you want it, so this is the feed-in clip that i was telling you guys about, and i was right. You actually can't really see what i'm doing so. I will actually post a video on my channel of my feed-in technique, so stay on the lookout for that, and i also want to say that i am not a professional. This is just something that i like doing. I like doing different hairstyles when i see them and yeah i'm not a professional by any means. Now that i like the length of the braid, i am going to put a rubber band at my stopping point and we are actually going to curl the loose ends of this braid. So right here i just put a little bit of edge control on the tips of my fingers and i'm going in and i'm smoothing out the hairs that look like they're sticking out of the braid and i'm just going back and doing the pancake method to try And fluff out the braid more now, i'm going to take my curl mousse by miel and i'm going to apply it all over. Those loose ends now i'll be taking two flexi rods: wrapping them around the loose ends of the hair. So now i'm just taking um some hot water that i bought on the stove and i am taking those loose ends that i put the flexi rods on and i'm dipping them so that the ends can curl and isn't she so beautiful y'all. I did her makeup off camera as well, so now i'm just taking the flexi rods off of the end of the hair and look at that girl baby. Look at that girl period. Yes, ma'am give them face, give them hair. Yes, jenny! Baby, you better show them how it's done girl. I know that's right, don't forget to like comment subscribe. Let me know what you guys think in the comments and i'll see you next time. Bye, y'all, you
