Hi, I'm Gwyneth price Panos and in today's video I'm gon na introduce you to my favorite wig cap, the dream lover, wig cap and teach you how to use it because it can be a little complicated for some people at first. But I've got you covered. So in this package it comes with two wig caps. They come in black and nude. I got them in nude. It comes out looking like a long tube with two ends on one end is a thicker material like this, and the other end looks like this. The thicker material is the one that comes around your hairline, so when some people open the packaging - and they see this long, tube, they're completely confused so scrunch it up to make a circle make sure the thicker strap is on the bottom. When you pull it up, like a headband, pull the tube along your hair like that, and then you push down your hair and smash it around your head so that it lays flat with this extra material you twist it once or twice pull it and bring it Around like this, let me show you that one more time from the back, then you can take a few bobby pins and make sure it's anchored down really well by weaving the pin in and out. You can also use these big ones. At this point, you can take the end of a makeup brush to make sure that these little hairs are tucked in thoroughly so like a couple might have fallen out a little like this. You can lift this up and push that under another way to secure your wig cap can be with one of these. Some people call them clickety, clacks they're nice, because they lay down really flat or they're great for the little hairs in the back. One of the things I absolutely love about this wig cap is how strong this elastic is around the front. It'S really great for resistant hair, but even men who you might not have a ton of hair like women do they might still have some pieces around the front, some fringe and bangs. This will hold it back in place. The same goes for women with short hair. Like Bob's, if their hair is cut short like this, these little pieces like to stick out at the bottom of wig caps and don't always stay under very well, but I find with this type of a late cap, it's not a problem. You can push them back. Underneath really easily and they stay in place, because this elastic is really hefty. The goal of prepping your hair under a wig cap before putting on a wig, is to get your hair as flat to your head as possible. So there's no lumps popping up underneath your wig, so what's really great about this weight cap is since it twists around and comes down a second time. It'S like an extra layer of compression, so that was the correct way to use the wig cap. This is an alternative way that I've seen many actors use they put their hair up like this when they get to this stage, remember this is where you're supposed to push your hair down and lay it flat. Well, some people have such thick hair that they don't seem to be able to get it to lay flat like this. They take this whole section and lay it down like this. So let me show you they pull it out and they lay it down now. The trick is to make sure you don't have a big bulge like this. You want to massage it and move the hair around to get it to lay as flat as possible. Let me show you again, so you can take this part here and anchor it down with some of these really big bobby pins or perspective. Here'S a small pin, here's the big fake jumbo pins. Some people call them roller pins. Now, if I'm really thick hair and I'm having trouble smashing all of the hair down like this flat onto the head, I can take this piece here. Pull it forward, take a few of these big pins and then with this remaining hair smush it down pull it. Remember how it was one big blob in the middle: now I'm massaging it out like this, and then you can take some more pins to flatten it out. So again, this is not technically the correct way to wear it. The correct way was that first way, I showed you, but this is something I've seen. Other actors do and it works well for them, so I thought I might as well show it to you and how it works now. Another way I like to use this wig cap is the way I would use any other way cap which is pin curling or braiding my hair first and then putting it on I'll, show you so my hair is secured in braids the way it would be using Any wig cap, but I still like to use this one because I hear it gets extra strong and make sure I get every little hair as I slide it up like a headband. This process of bringing it down and sliding it up is a great way to pull back the hairs. Normally, when you put a wig cap on you, just put it straight down like a beanie but then as you're putting it down, little hairs are coming down with it and then you have to spend all this time pushing them back up again. But with this, the act of putting it up over your head, like a headband, is pulling up these hairs off your neck and away from your face. So now I have this, I take it. I can twist it put it down again. I'Ll show you from over. Here I twist it put it down and that's how you use the dream: lover: wig cap. I'Ve also seen it called the dream lover, long wig cap - and in this case it's the dream - lover upgraded wig cap. This one does feel a little looser to me than my other one does, which is black. I don't know if it has anything to do with the color. It is, or just they change, manufacturing a little, but either way it's very big and strong. Let me show it to you in comparison to a couple of others, so this is another wig cap I got for free actually with the purchase of another wig. It'S built the same way as the dream lever wig cap, where it looks like a tube where there's holes on either side, but the elastic is a lot less strong, a lot less hefty so that one compared to this one and then just the length. This is just a lot more fabric than this one, so it can just hold a ton more hair if your hair is heavy and resistant, somethings, strong and industrial like this, women should do the trick. I do feel that either of these options are still better than the traditional one. That'S more like nylon. Those ones tend to slip around a lot more. I'M a big fan of the dream lover, wig cap, and I really encourage you to get one and they come in two and it's around $ 5 was not too bad. You can get them on Amazon, Prime, if you're in a pinch, and you need to get a nylon wig cap for a show that night go to Sally's. You can get one for 99 cents or a dollar. Ninety-Nine no big deal. But if you want something really strong that you can use for a lot of shows over and over again get the dream lever, it's worth it. Thank you so much for watching my video.
