Flat Twist With Red Palm Oil & Cocoa Butter Curl Stretch Pudding | Flat Twist Natural Hair Styles

I used Shea Moisture Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Curl Stretch Pudding with Flaxseed Oil for a flat twist hairstyle. Personally, I felt that the product does a really good job with moisturizing my hair. I felt that the product doesn't really define my hair nor does it have great hold. I did experience frizz which may have to do with how I took out the flat twists. However the product didn't do a good job in preventing the frizz. Definitely use gel with this product!

Hey y'all, nappy valley here and back again with another product review, so today we're going to be reviewing shea moisture red palm oil and cocoa butter curl stretch pudding with black seed oil. So this product right here, i just kind of picked it up in target and wanted to try it. So, if you're interested in seeing my full review of this product stay tuned to the end, but i'm basically going to be giving myself a flat twist out and you guys get to see that process um. I haven't done one of these in a while. So please don't judge me, but if you're interested in seeing this process and how that this product works with my flat with flat twisting your hair definitely stay tuned and before we get into this video. Definitely don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel, especially if you love seeing my smiling face every friday, so without further ado, let's get into this video, hey y'all, so i just recently washed my hair deep conditioned and i applied my leave-in inside of the shower And i used the tgin green tea super moist, leave-in conditioner anyways, so i'm just going to be doing flat twists something a little different little new. So i'm trying out the shea moisture red palm oil and cocoa butter curl stretching putter and it is made with flaxseed oil um. It'S for curly and coily hair shrinkage prone hair. Basically, i'm just gon na put a disclaimer out right now, um. I don't believe that any product can really minimize shrinkage like how we want it to so. For me, using this product for shrinkage, isn't like. It doesn't really matter that much to me. So i'm just going to get into doing my flat twist and i'm going to be using this and showing you basically just like how it feels and like how it is like. As you can see, i already have product on my hair, because this is leaving and basically what i'm gon na do is i'm going to apply this enlarged. I mean in the twisted sections right. I'M gon na apply this to the twisted sections. Okay, so we're gon na start with this one and my hair is still super super wet um. At any point, if my hair ever like dries up, i'm gon na you know spray bottle spray bottle it. Here'S what it looks like it is really thick like it is it's like a thick cream, but it's not like jelly. If that makes sense, like you know how, sometimes it can be thick in consistency and kind of like sticky thick like this isn't sticky like it's just thick, which makes sense, because i think, like the third ingredients, is cocoa butter. Put this add it to the ends and work up. My hair is getting long. Look at this, like you, it's not even fully in screen someone's at my my nipple, oh yeah, so i will say it a little goes a long way like if anybody has ever used shea butter or like cocoa butter, it's kind of chalky and like if you Rub it in your hands and put in your hair, it doesn't go a long way, but i would say this product does but like the first ingredient is water, so i can kind of understand why it has some like spreadability. I will say that if your hair is not saturated, i wouldn't use this product. I don't think it will go over well because your hair might just be dry yeah, but i think it's good as a more sealant-esque type um like styling cream. So i'm basically just going to apply this to all the other twists and just move on. So one thing i will say about this product is that is that, like it isn't a curl definer, like i don't think like if you're looking for something to help define your curls. I don't think this is the product, because, like the parts of my hair, that is somewhat defined like when i added the this to it, it didn't really change much like it didn't change it or it didn't make it more pronounced. It didn't really do anything. It just kind of coated the hair strands so yeah. I felt like if you're looking for this product to be curl definer. I don't think i don't think that's what it is. I think, if you're looking for something to help, keep your hair moisturized or something to like coat your strands. If you have difficulty keeping your hair moisturized, i feel like that's more what this product is good for than for, like making your hair all curly and bouncy and whatnot okay, now that i'm all done putting in my product, let's start twisting we're going to start um Parting, my hair for the la la la flat twists, so i've been seeing a lot of people do like a little like, like a part on the side and a swoosh for their flat twist. So that's what i'm going to be planning! That'S what i'm going to be doing i'ma switch to my contacts so that i can actually see when i do this. Okay, so we got you know a rat tail comb and we're going to just do a side part i'm just going to carve out the rest of my hair and then, like part, it down the back and like where it ends up is like right. Behind my ear we're just gon na let go see. The part ended like right in front of my ear. Actually, i'm gon na have the front section parted off so kind of like at the back of this part, but we're just gon na go down on the other side. Okay and then what is left is the back section and i'm just gon na part. It in half just make it just to break it up a little bit more and make it easier for me. Okay, so i did the first part first section off camera and i kind of feel like the putting the curl stretch pudding doesn't have. I don't think it has like it's not that strong of a hold like i feel like my hair, is very moisturized, and i feel like when my hair dries. It'S going to be very like it's not going to be dry, but i don't feel like this product provides enough hold for my hair to not look fluffy if that makes sense or or frizzy so, hey rate, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. This hairstyle um, it's not bad. I think the ends for whatever reason aren't as defined as like the roots. I guess that's because of the flat twist. I don't know if i've blamed this product as much, but i do think this is a really good product. If you want to moisturize your hair, because my hair feels super super super super soft right now, like yeah, i like this first for moisturizing, do i think it actually stops shrinkage? No, i don't like, if you saw my twists like how drawn up they were by the time my hair dried. You could tell that this doesn't really stop shrinkage um, but i do. I would say that this product really isn't that defining um. I feel like. I probably should have went in with a jet like this and a jail together, and i probably would have gotten a more defined look at the bottoms because, like the roots are cute, but once you get to the bottom, this is frizzy and i think that's because Of like how flat twists go like you have to like break pull it apart, whatever you saw like you saw, i had to like pull my hair apart and, like i mean yeah, but i also feel like this product. Isn'T that defining so if you're? Looking for moisture and you're, looking for your hair to be soft, this is a great product. If you're looking for definition, i wouldn't - i wouldn't necessarily use this product - it's not really good for defining, but that's really all i have for today for my review. Rose Romain: I like how soft it made everything, but I’m glad you did it without gel. I’m definitely the type to see if I can do it without gel so now I know. Loved the look !

Naniibaby: Okay inches the result looked so good. Loved it
