How are you yeah, i'm really really good, and your fan seems to be so excited. I mean look at all these comments and questions coming in they're, so excited for you to be here with us. Thank you so much for choosing indonesia as your very first challenge, a sound check by the way, no problem, i'm excited so by the way uh, i'm kai and i'm from wesley fm and we're gon na talk a little right. We'Re gon na talk a little we're gon na get to know you we're gon na play a little bit of um pick one. So it's a or b and then um we're also you're, also probably gon na sing a little bit for us. But let's just get back to it, you know how are you being seriously whereabouts? Are you in the world right now, good, i'm in canada, um i've mostly just been doing school. To be honest, like takes up most of my my day, these days cool, so how's it been going, has been uh haskell also been challenging for you uh, or has it been easier because you get to do it online, so you get to be more productive from Doing everything else at home, uh! No, i'm i'm in school, i'm fully in classes now so um, it's it's like the regular school experience and but with like masks and stuff, which is always good and then um yeah. It'S been a little tough just it's it's! I'M! In grade 12, now um thinking like the hardest courses, so uh, it's a lot of work for sure, and sometimes it's hard to balance it. Where are you based in canada, i'm in toronto? Ah, because i did the ontario grade 12., so i i know i know your system, it is. It is trust me, though your system is prepared, yeah, your your system prepares you for uni. So well, though, man seriously, that's good, so yeah yeah. So so, once you get through it, you'll be good. So good luck on school, but talk about your ep right um, it's never really over right! So congratulations! It'S finally out now. How do you feel about that? Thank you. It'S very exciting! It is the the reaction to it has been just even crazier than i would have thought, and you know like what i was prepared for. So it's been, it's been really cool um. This is definitely the most personal i've ever gotten on an ep. So i wasn't sure how people were gon na react to that um, but i'm glad they like it. Well, we all love it, but you also talk about how this is basically gross your your growth journey after uh teenage fever, i mean it's only been like what a year after you release teenage fever. What do you think was the biggest life-changing event or decision that you made in the past one year that you felt like i'm a different person now than i was last year. It'S hard to point to one. That'S a good question, though, probably just like there's a certain point where, like i was just really unhappy - and i was i was just like - i was down bad and i i just kind of made a decision to do what i want and not really care about What other people thought about it from now on like to an extent? Of course, you can't be rude to people, but yeah like for so many years. I was so scared of voicing my opinions on my own songs, like my my own songs, my own videos, like literally everything, because i just didn't want to like upset people or like disappoint somebody. So um. I was trying to please people and i i don't care to do that anymore. I don't have time for that, and you know i want to love the things that i put out so yeah. It'S. This ep, i feel like for me, is the first ep where um everything you see is essentially exactly how i pictured it in my mind. So there was a lot of thought coming into this ep, because you wanted to make sure that you show that right. Absolutely. How was it, though, for you? How was how? How did you because you mentioned you - you were really unhappy at one point, because perhaps maybe a lot of people are going through the same thing like i'm, just not not in a good place right now. What did you do to get out of that zone and to get back into the productive, and you know what i can totally beat this? Ah, i kind of just use work to distract myself. There'S just not a great approach. Don'T do that um, i don't know, but but writing songs was your therapy right yeah for sure that helped? I think if, if you can, if you can use writing songs or just any other, creative outlet is a great way to get your mind off of uh. Whatever is going on in your life and you know, maybe it can help you as well. It'S like a therapy session. I find when i write songs um. I realize a lot of things about my life. Just like i never sometimes i don't put two and two together and everything just makes a lot more sense once i like critically think about it, and i have to apply lyrics um to like a beat. I have to like condense everything down, i'm like. Oh, that makes a lot more sense. Yeah i mean which one was the quickest song for you to write in this album uh in this ep and which one was the longest. Perhaps it was the most you know. Probably phobias was the shortest um a couple hours from like getting to the studio um to just like to leaving. So that's like everything like writing and recording uh and like production, stuff, there's only a couple hours so that one was definitely oh and then the longest one was probably uh adelaide, because that one took like months like not not like months straight. But we worked on that one we started, i started writing it like a year and a half ago, and then it was only really finished. Like probably a month before the ep came out like we approved the boxes, so that was that was a crazy process. For that one wow, so i'm just looking at the comments. A lot of people are actually saying hi to you totally loving you and oh it's like they love your hair and some of them love your eyebrows. You do have really nice eyebrows anyway, so um. If you could pick one right now on the top of your head, which one is your favorite song of this ep before we move to our little game that we're going to play, probably adelaide, adelaide, yeah, there's just so much work, that's gone into it um and I don't know i just like the balance. Ah somebody just said bad news is his or her favorite. Ah, okay, i like that one as well. Okay, all right! So, while we're here, we want to get we'd love to get to know because we don't get to check with you often - and this is like your very first sound check. So we have um compiled a list of items for you to choose from a pair of items and you get to choose one, so it's either one or the other, a a or b kind of game: okay, cool, let's start series or movie slash film series. Oh, what are you watching right now? I just finished uh top boy, but that was very good. I liked it. I liked it. I also absolutely ran through the um the fast and furious series. While i was ah homework, so i mean it's a toss-up a little bit of both, but i'd probably go with tv shows: okay, but uh your favorite movie in the last couple of months that you've seen. Perhaps if you say that you go both um, probably i really like tokyo drift. That was a good one, people, it's it's an underdog. People underestimate how good tokyo drift actually is, and the soundtrack is fun right anyway. That'S good, okay, making music in your room or in the studio. It really depends on on the song. But if it's like, like sad stuff, my room for sure just because it's easier to think in here about that kind of stuff, but just like like you're, just like a regular song like if i was to make adelaide again definitely a studio um one. Because i'm not that good at producing, so i couldn't do all that myself and uh. It'S good on, like upbeat, songs, to have somebody else in the studio with you, whether it's my sister or ah hi, sister yeah, my sister or another writer or producer, whoever it is, but it's it's good to have somebody today but yeah for for those emotional songs. You prefer in the room yeah it's a close space where you can keep a safe place for your emotions. Okay, all right! This is uh, one from the fans playing tik, tok or instagram, which team are you on now take talk for sure, except for instagram lives. Instagram lives are the only thing that instagram still has that's better, that's true, but yeah, because now every every single application has the story right. So i mean okay, okay, but we're looking forward. Everybody follows you and tuk talk. Probably already i mean we have fans from all over korea. There was malaysia hi there from malaysia and wow still a lot of eyebrow comments. Somebody comments, please do a tutorial for your eyebrows. They love it. I just plucked them. Oh you just want them. Okay, all right, so there you go guys my dog anyway, no okay, okay, there was. There was another person who asked since we're on the social media platform netflix or youtube, ah, that one's tough, dude buddy stop sorry. My dog is working um. I think netflix - hmm yeah, i think that's after everybody. Okay, so since you have a dog, you know you're a dog person, but this one pasta or pizza, hmm pasta. I have to yeah. I can't get my italian heritage. So, are you more of the creamy creamy, sauce or uh? You know the tomato based type tomato for sure tomato for sure i, like uh, the arabian spicy one that are yeah nice. It'S the simplest one, but it's it's yeah. It'S really really good yeah! I get you so do you like the spaghettis, the fettuccines or the individuals like pennies or fousilies. You know, you know, you know. Perhaps one of your fans will send you something to eat so they know exactly what your favorite is. My favorite is uh. I love tortellini. Ah, like i like penne and i like regular tony as well. I have a couple favorites they're, all they're, all up there for sure, like uh cottage cottage, spinach, cottage cheese, spinach, all right right, oh no, best right! No! What'S your favorite! If i ever taste cotton pumpkin one time, i had a full bowl of cottage cheese. I thought it was yogurt and i went to take a bite and i almost threw up. It was so bad, oh okay! So what is okay tortellini? Now, let's stick to tortellini um. What is your favorite filling because you said no cottage cheese, it's usually like cheese and spinach, no uh, the cheese is usually cottage cheese and spinach. Yes, no, it's not! Yes, i would have to have a serious talk with my parents. After this i know, i know: okay, okay, okay, let's try something else: okay, pasta! Um!
