Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today we're gon na be trying something a little different finger, coils, so finger coil is something I've never actually tried. Ever on my hair throughout my natural hair journey, I've been natural for so long, but one of you guys requested it. Actually, a few of you guys requested it on Twitter. If you don't follow me on Twitter, make sure you do but yeah you guys requested it. So I want to try it out today, so the two products I'll be using both from Crow prep, the bigger the butter and the around the way gel. So this was the two products that was used for my washing go so yeah. I want to try them out again and see how I like them, but yeah. Alright, so there's gon na be a few things I'm gon na be doing so. I'M gon na be using my cue to do just to moisturize my hair a little bit. I am gon na wet it, but I just want to steam my hair a little because I feel, like my hair needs steam and also something else to note. I am going to be putting the front of my hair away just gon na work on this section right here, because I might as well work at section, so I'm just gon na use, my QV do just gon na put some oil on my end. Okay and now I'm going to moisturize the entire section with bigger the butter. This is a water-based product, very like kind of watery but kind of creamy, but more on the watery side, which I want, because I want my hair to really get some texture so that it'll take this finger coil on really well, I don't want to use too Much product, though cuz I know I'm gon na be using a lot of gel, so the back of my hair is the loose isono. I know it's gon na coil really well this. This is taking forever where my hair is more kinkier. I need smaller sections so that I could actually curl I'm just gon na wrap make sure those roots are tight, and then I want to keep going. This took like four hours. Like I'm tired. I don't know this is. I would have to keep these in for at least two weeks, because no but they're cute, I won't lie. They are definitely cute with the shrinkage is real like it goes from here like oh, my gosh, my hair feels really good a lot of hold the places where there's more um, you know force see kinks. Those coils are kind of like not coils, which is funny, but still it looks. Good, though, looks pretty good. Honestly. If the front of my hair wasn't giving me such problems, I would definitely coil them and I feel like that, would look cuter cuz. I would do like a side part. I mean you guys kind of get the idea. I just don't want to disrupt right here. I don't want to be picking at it because I know if I called these areas. They'Re still gon na be out, and I'm gon na have a tendency to like pick at it, and I want to just leave this part alone. So I'll probably end up putting this into a ponytail and going about my life or honestly, I probably just wear a wig on top of this, but this is a nice cute, like protective style, if you don't, you know, if you kind of just want to put Your hair away, I know if my hair is a little longer, it would look so cute or if my hair was like shorter. I just feel like my hair. Is that a weird length for these coils but whatevs at least you guys see them so yeah? If you guys enjoyed this video, definitely give it a thumbs up make sure you're subscribed hit that notification bell too, so you always get notified. When I post a new video and um yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed and I'll see you in my next one

Sista Soul: Girll your patience I did four of these the other night. I was like naw this going to take up the rest of my 20s

Ed K.: I used to beg my mum when I was 9yrs old to thread my hair, I would beg hair and even prepare the thread, the comb, the pillow and will get all ready. I would even behave all week long! I wasn't born in my parents home country (DRC) but loved African hair threading. That was my intimate moment with my mum and our rich culture! Thanks for the great video xx.

Yahya TheGreat: I've never done finger coils because the thought of detangling them actually gives me anxiety

OHoneyPot: I finally tried this on my head and I must say, I’m loving the look! It took me all of 45 mins ✨

Amanda: Tell me why I just had my mom do finger coils on my hair last night and then I see this video the next day. I LOVE finger coils Yess they do take awhile

simply d: So cute on you! Finger curls were one of the first hairstyles I ever tried as a loose natural after I combed out/cut my locs. They were cute but were a bear to detangle when it came to washday a week later. I vowed to never again do them.

August: I have done finger coils before and my hair is shorter than yours and it takes forever but I love how they turn out,and your hair looks so healthy

Ezinna Elliott: Thank you for doing this video. I have the same hair texture as yours. And this gave me an idea of what it would look like. If I tried this style ❤

88BeEazy: It turned out really nice but please please please don't leave those in for more than a week unless you are ready for locs. I am speaking from personal experience.

Stephanie Edwards: Y'all in the comments saying she shouldn't leave in the coils or she'll get locks. It won't if she keeps them MOISTURIZED, STRECTCHED, and sleep in a bonnet her hair will be fine. It's not about the style, MAINTENANCE IS KEY!

karen horton: Chizi I know this is a small thing but I have that exact same headscarf

Marry Talley: I love this video!!!!!❤️ I never knew this type of hair style was that easy. Thank you!

Royale Clay: The only thing I didn't like is hearing you say you'd probably wear a wig over those beautiful coils. I love your hair! I was like you go girl! You rock those coils! Awesome video! You did a great job!

Knotty By Nature: Finger coils save me when I want to do a "wash n go" for my 4c hair. I take some random small pieces & coil them. Then throughout the week I uncoil them for some poppin definition. I think this works better for shorter hair.

Cindy Holloway: I did finger coils in my hair this weekend for the first time. It was cute. I bought a puffcuff and switched my wash day because I was feeling my self so much, I wasn't ready to comb them out Have you tried a puffcuff?

bbsincere: I love the thickness of your hair! I love doing coils on my fine hair. Thanks for the upload

AlmaAmbitious: I did this after my big chop grew to a decent length and I loved it but it took about an hour or two then so I'd NEVER attempt it now. You're more patient than I am !

M. C.: This makes me feel better I did finger coils & did a coil out. Our hair looks very similar but I’m not a fan of the shrinkage either

Roberta Higgins: I love this look on you !

old skool gypsy: I really love these videos so helpful not just for me but my kids also my hairs just super big and wavy curls but if I bursh the curls obviously it turns to frizz lol my daughter has ringlets & I try to keep her natural so great channel cheers gorgeous!!!!

BZ: LOL when it got to 2:58 I related so hard. I did some over the weekend and flat twisted the front just like you did. it took me just under 4 hours. I loved that you tried something new though Chizi. Thanks for the video!

bana memo: Idk why I love watching you My hair is not even 4c I literally watched everything and you on repeat

nishewa nishewa: My first finger coil took my almost 3 hours on my 2 inch hair. I almost cried. I keep debating on whether to try it now on my 7 inches. Came out good.

Akeya Johnson: You can achieve a similar look with mini twists (I mean actual small sized twists not the big ones that people insist on calling mini twists). You should try it out and you won't have to worry about your 4c hair not cooperating

Naj: this hairstyle is so pretty. i want to do it <3

Amritapreet Singh: Your hair came out amazing

Shaïna L. Joseph: How long do these say in? How much breakage occurs when you take these out? And what's the best way to prevent it?

Whitface: Girl! Do not keep them in for two weeks... It will start to loc! Lol and please be careful when you comb them out. Do it section by section under warm water. I didn't this once b4 and my hair was so cute! After a few days I separated them and from doing that I created knots at the root and when I went to comb it all out it got even worse. Spent 4 hrs detangeling

1986KillerQueen: love it! it makes your hair look super healthy healthier then it already is I think a side part would look betterAnd- I like that you accurately say 4c SO MANY people have 4a and are like "oh my 4c hair" GWIRL!? You do not have it hard don't even That length though... pretty decent I would not be able to tame that every day

x marxthespot: wow.. i just did these in my hair! im on my third day and my hair is full of flakes BUT its soo cute!

karineekg: Looks gorgeous, esp with the front

The Hair Life: I was just attempting this on a young kid who had them but they were about six months grown out.. two hours in he bailed. An when you said this was taking forever...i felt that...boy did I.

Oluwadamilola O.: what is that lip color? it looks great on you

Nickyloveslove ENTERTAINMENT: Beautiful......I did this to my hair about a month ago and had such a hard time with them staying in, geesh~

Earla-Ashlee Massiah: OMG i literally have been seeing so many finger coiling videos that i did my hair in coils a day ago ! And yes same experience where the kinkier part of my hair didnt take the coil well so i just twisted it. And yes the time... i mean i do have a tapered cut and the girl i watched @crtnyEsined ...her video from a year ago she said it took her 3 hours and it did for me too! I didnt use gel though i used the curls blueberry paste on top of Oyin Hair Dew leave in and shea moisture curl souffle. But love your coils and i know you are rebuilding your edges so its all good you kept the front twisted. Love the vids as always xoxox

Hazina: I did this 3 days ago. It poofed out from the bipolar weather but it held out nicely for a first attempt lol

Ferran Bosman: We have similar hair texture and length. And wow. I agree these coils are cute. But so much admin. Thank you so much for the video. I really enjoyed it.

Nia Imani Franklin: This is a beautiful style on you!

Mercy H: I finger coiled once too and it took me 3.5hrs. It was shrunken but lasted a while. But I won't be doing it again, at least not for a while. My arms were sore and my feet were tired from standing so long! Plus taking them down, detangling them wasn't fun at all. But thanks for taking the time to make this video for us.

JustMe888: Even though this took a while it came out super cute! now only if the wash and go had this outcome

DiscoveringNatural: I get lots of tangles when I do finger coils, hence why I don't do them often

Lavishlyjaayy: I wanna try this just as soon as I find out how you take em out.

Tzipporah Lee: Where my 4c squad at

Chelsi T: Would love to try this but you see the way my patience is set up....issa no but it did look beautiful on you

Dareese Hinds: Thank you for trying that Chizi. I won't even do a wash and go because that looks like a long attempt. I am just going be a spectator and admirer of people brave enough to do finger coils

Breezy Bre: I love this look, and your hair

Black Gold: Girl I did this last week you would have to add more gel . It still came out good . My hair is the same length.. of does look crazy.. do a Mohawk .. or a side part .. I was exhausted when finishing geeeeesh!! Hard work for real

EbonyDiva411: I like to finger coil my hair too, but it does take FOREVVVEERRR!! Yours look great by the way!

Leone Ranger: Watching this in 2019 and at 2:58 - 3:01 I felt your pain! Turned out beautifully though

Chelsie: I tried this before and it didn't turn out how I wanted but I still liked it and I got a lot of compliments. I just threw on one of those hats not a beanie but yea put it like on top .. Super cute

R B: I did almost half of my head and gave up. No ma’am. Takes a lot of patience, but yours turned out very pretty.

The Faye Fairy: It looks really nice! I just posted a vid of me defining my 4C curls, would love if anyone wanted to check it out Love and Light xx

MissMirus Robinson: You are my go to person when it comes on to natural hair

Leslie Galloway: You gotta do coils more often. Beautiful

Rachel White: I do this and mini twist like alll the time as a means of length retention. With my mini twist, I keep them in from 1-2 weeks at a time and then take them down (spoiler : Bomb.com twist out) anyways, I've been natural for 5 years and mini twist and finger could have been my saving grace for the past 2 years; mainly because I hate long hair and I'm always cutting my hair after I grow it out for a year atleast

Innarlife: I did this when I was considering locking. It took longer than 4 hours and it looked really nice but.....nahhh...took them out and changed my mind from locks. One thing I did different was use hair clips to weigh down each coil until it set so the look was more neat. Exhale....i think it took 2 days...i did them really small....definately was a journey....not going back

Akilah Imani: I literately just posted a finger coil tutorial on my channel. I hated them because of the shrinkage. I unraveled them and made a puff that was super cute. Yeah I felt like my hair was at a weird length for them too. I just hit subscribe

Pure Estrogen: They look really pretty.

CoCoBunny420: Your hair looks so good. Please dont put a wig over it! Shrinkage or not, your hair was cute

Lynette Terrell: I can tell you didn't care for them but I thought they turned out really good! Lol...yes, time consumimg...especially with all that hair you have! I have only done it on my hair short, but I love it. I wear the coils for about a week and could get probably another 2 weeks out of the coil out if it wasn't for my scalp demanding a wash after about 10 days of the coil out.

Melly Soulchild: Hey girl! What lipstick are you wearing? Looks so good on you

eisha920: You should try cream first then oil. The oil will lock in the moisture from the cream.

Nicki RED: I would not date try this style bc my strands would embrace the coil and turn into a full on loc in3days TFS! (It’s a cute style)

About My Fro: I LOVE THE RRSULTS ON YOU!!! I was going to try this, but 4 hours lol. I'd rather someone do it for me. Did your fingers ache atall? Thank you for sharing, as always

¢har dolla$: Thanks for taking my request!!! I love it!

Andrea Cunningham: I liked it! But so time consuming!

CurlsandBeauty82 xxx: Looked really good especially at this length

Amritapreet Singh: But finger curls are like twist out they look amazing when done but they give my arms and hands a workout I need to rest them after I do them

Hannah ✨: I used to do this all the time when I was little. I had no clue it was a bonafide style! What I DO know is that my mom caught me doing this once and I definitely got an ear-full about it. I guess she already had enough issues with my tender-headed self lmao

racistsoap: I would probably get a third done then give up and order a pizza

Molly Reed: Girl, that hair is cute!!! You didn't need a wig on that.

lia Anne: Chizi... you are just so beautiful that style looks so beautiful on u. I love ur videos so freaken much ❤

Ossie R: It took me about me about 1to 1 1/2hrs but my hair is shorter and not as dense as yours. I love it.

Michelle Ngozi: I feel like if I finger coiled my hair, I might as well call it finger knotting because detangling would literally be a nightmare..But these actually looked great on you, awkward length and all!

~Daphne Amy's World~!: Wish my wavy hair can do finger coils I remember when I was younger I used to do the I'm twist that look close to the dreads that you get from the crochet braiding hair and it was time-consuming to Twisted with a comb mother jealous and there then put pins underneath it it gave me that Shirley Temple look though or Pippi Longstocking look as well it looks very nice on you I'm sure that must be YouTubers that know how to do this style without it taking so long I love it on you it makes your hair look longer❤

Dayari Buchanan: only 3 videos in and im in love with your channel !

MeOnline: Looks super cute to me. I want to do it, but not for 4 hours lol. It would probably take me even longer...

cuzisaysook: My hair is thick like yours, so I definitely will have to do this style on a weekend. Yikes 4 hrs. LOL Do you think band stretching the coils for length will disrupt the style?

Gaia Dove: So pretty!

Anna Omolola: I will definitely be trying this...... thx chizi

NIKKI LEWIS: I think it's pretty! Maybe To stretch it out you can do the banding method!

Jada Nicole: Your makeup looks so good

Cryssie jones: I love your make up here hun n I've never tried finger coils before but i think i will

Savine Sequoia: When she said this is taking forever I felt that...

Titi Rose: I just started my natural hair journey, so there are a lot of things I dont know. Is the Q Redew something that is helpful with this natural hair process?

Shawn Plus One: Omg I’m tired and my neck and arms hurt just watching you but as always your hair looks amazing but this here gal she tender headed with type 4c with a bit of 4b hair as well I hate combing or twisting it I do like the results but hate the process.

malikah bey: im too lazy to do this, i wanna try it so bad tho. so time consuming

MzLeci: Kudos to you for doing that style. I think they are cute and would be a nice style on you if you could have done the front but I understand why you didn't. Personally i would never do this, unless I decided to get locs.

NeverStopLearning DrBard: You are hilarious. Your hair looks gangsta at this length!

Christina Jane: Exactly how mine came out!

Chidinma Okafor: We both have the same type of hair , I couldn't do it to myself after you said how many hours you did it

Sas Thyme: I tend to use lots of oil on wet hair, it dries very coily curly

I am Camille: It looks nice, but I definitely too much work that’s why I never tried it. Love your personality sis

Amanda Haynes: 3:00 is so me when I do my hair lol

Ossie R: Wow 4hrs? I don’t know if I’m that patient but it does look cute.

AkirSenrab: 4 hours . My hair is almost bsl so I can say this will be a style that I'll never try. I just can't!! It's cute though!!

Stephanie Green: A couple years too late but girl you looked so cute

eisha920: Ladies when taking this down please rise with warm water and conditioner and then comb with wide tooth comb

AshTweetLey: I've never done this before. How do you take them down? You gotta unravel them one by one?

Charcoal Shade: The back of my hair is so loosely curled it's like am from another race back there and am pretty sure am 100% black . Lol at first I thought I had heat damage...but I was wilding...heat damage? With no heat?....not possible.its just how it is I guess
