Spring 2021 Haircut | Medium Length Haircut | Layered And Textured Haircut | Coh Salon San Francisco

I recently got an updated haircut with my hairstylist Jenna. We kept the length but changed the shape quite a bit. I know that many of you prefer my short bob, but I really want to embrace the longer length during pregnancy, so I'm currently growing it out! Now that my hair is transitioning out of the short-medium length into medium-long we decided that I was finally ready to add more layers and texture. I absolutely love how the style came out and feel that it suits my natural waves so much more. It definitely made my hair more bouncy and curly again which I love!

I just got downtown and i'm getting a haircut with jenna today. My last haircut was at the end of november, so it's been a few months, we're at the end of february. Right now, it's almost march and coincidentally, i usually get a haircut around my birthday. My birthday is next week, sort of it's on march 6, um and today is february 25th, so like a week and a half from today. So this is a great timing. I always like to get a fresh haircut on my birthday just because it's my personal new year and i like to start my new year fresh i've been growing, my hair out and i transitioned from a bob to a lob. So right now i have a pretty blunt haircut with a little bit of face. Framing, i don't know if it's pregnancy or just like the shape of the haircut, but lately i've been feeling like my hair, is a little bit flat and not as curly and wavy as it used to be. It very well could be pregnancy, but i'm going to talk to jenna and see what she suggests in order to get my shape back. I want to wait to cut my hair short again. Maybe i will in the summertime once the baby's here, but for now i'm just kind of embracing longer hair, i kind of got bored of having short hair for a few years straight. I know that many of you guys love it, but i was ready for a change and since i don't dye, my hair growing it out or cutting it short is kind of the only way that i can create that big feeling of change. I feel like i'm transitioning out of the kind of like quote, unquote awkward length where it's kind of short but kind of long and it's finally getting sort of long right. Now it's like right above here and i feel like because i'm pregnant and taking vitamins and just eating really healthily. My hair is probably going to be growing pretty fast for the next few months, so i may as well embrace it. I'M excited to get a fresh cut and potentially change the shape a bit, i'm going to tell jenna that i'm ready to transition out of the blunt lob and see what she suggests. I looked up pictures on instagram, but i honestly didn't really see many medium length. Haircuts that were anything other than a blunt haircut, so i'm looking forward to see what she suggests. What are you thinking um? I imagine we're still growing as well. Yeah i'm gon na continue, throwing it out for now um. I feel like i'm transitioning out of the like awkward lengthwise, where it's like between short and medium and it's kind of getting too medium and long. I love that. I see that and i wanted to get your opinion on changing the shape yeah, i'm interested. I i just feel like my hair has been like flat like it's, not as curly as it used to be that's interesting, because it's usually like the best hair of your life yeah, but like it's just i don't know. If it's like uh, i don't know, i don't know if it's because i haven't had it long in a while, and i know when it yeah and i know like when it grows out, yeah um it can be heavier and like weigh down the curls. So i don't know if that's what it is, but i feel like the shorter you go, the less layers you do and then, like the longer you go, you can add quite a bit more, especially if the hair is a little heavy. Do you have any pictures, though, just curious? No, i honestly i was looking because i wanted to give you some, but i just i wasn't really finding like i kind of like yours, how you have like the layers that there's a lot going on yeah yeah, but i'm definitely open to layers. I just didn't know how you would feel about it. No i'm down okay, totally down, especially at this length. Yeah there's a little bit in there, but no it needs something. Yeah, let's see, let's get similar parts and see yeah okay, so i've got like some shortcuts here, uh-huh, which i like um. I put mine from side to side so but those are getting like around my shoulder. But what is it? What do you think you like about it? Is it this pcr or pc is a little piecier than yours yeah? I think i'm ready to transition out of like the blunt yeah - and i want more like i just i'm - ready for more layers more just like a different shape. Yeah and i probably would have like even lighten this up a bit more. But i really want to like it if i want thick and long and kind of like i do want kind of hanging there. When i get my hair long, i don't think most people feel that way. So i think what we should do is we should cut into it, because i think, even when you get it a little bit longer, you're gon na want even more layers. I think, because the curl factor yeah right, i feel like my hair because of the texture. It does need it yeah. What about when it was short? Did you did you feel like layers not having, i feel like when it was short i could have like the classic lob and still have it be very voluminous because it was so short and layered all around the same length. You know what i mean. I think that's enough to maybe even cut like a little bit of this quite a bit actually, because what will end up coming off? It'S like that. I would like to know uh-huh to kind of have it like um super. I don't know this is just feeling long yeah much longer here: you're, not you're, not going to feel like you're going to want to put those down, especially straight uh-huh, and i feel like that was working for us really yeah um to have something to pull down. Yeah, i just want to cut into a little bit of stuff yeah. That'S fine! I'M pretty open yeah like usually when it's longer i do have people thin it all a bit um if needed, yeah, because i have a lot like the individual strands are fine-ish, but i feel like i have a lot so yeah that also contributes to weighing it Down, i feel yeah, i think you're totally right, yeah um, where before it was kind of like a little bit wider, but silhouette a little bit um kind of like more blunt and strong. This is going to definitely be more broken into lighter. There'S like no air showing through here quite yet or i'm starting to get a little bit of that going yeah um i mean we're not trying to take a lot of length we're trying to be like very minimal yeah. I don't think a lot of length needs to be taken off. It'S a little like a little dry, but i think just more so like changing the shape and like the feel of the world style. I think the layers you know are usually the ones that need the most cutting yeah just do a little whatever needs to be, and then just change the shape so so yeah, my cowlick is like or not my cowlick. What is it my? I don't know what it's called the shape of. Like my hairline, it's like a wavy, oh yeah, yeah. It could be a cali. I thought they use that as like a generic tone. Right yeah. I guess so um but yeah. Usually, a cowlick is kind of more uh. One thing it is, but they're kind of, like whatever the wavy hairline when they're talking about a wavy hairline. That'S what you're talking about. Okay, don't move! So! Oh i'm back at my car now i drove to get some food, which is why i'm not in the garage, but i just wanted to show a closer look at my hair, so we kind of changed the entire shape. I absolutely love the way it came out. She took a lot out of here and kind of created more of like this little long, bang situation and instead of doing a blunt end, she made it a little bit more rigid and textured, and then she also took out a lot of the bulk. So my individual strands are more on the fine side, but i have a lot of hair, so it can get really really thick, especially in the back and she went ahead and just thinned it out a bit to create a little bit more shape. And i am so happy with how it came out. I hope you enjoyed it coming along today for my updated haircut. The next haircut will be either right before the baby's born or right after he's born, we'll see we're going to have to time it well. So that's all for now and if you like, the video be sure to give it a thumbs up and subscribe. If you haven't already bye,
