Good morning everybody welcome back to another video. It'S Lydia thanks for tuning in so it's day, five of vlogmas. Now I just finished doing my face and I got a you know just touch up my hair in the morning I mean this is pretty much all. I do probably go in with some dry oil spray and then call it a day, pretty simple, oh and in today's video I'm, the curly hair topic of today's video is gon na, be my curly hair starter kit. So if you are transitioning, if you are, you know trying to start to wear your hair curly. More often, I'm gon na, like tell you guys the products that I would recommend that you guys kind of start off with, because I know for me when I started off. I just bought everything because I just didn't know what to buy. So if I could go back and know what I know now, this is what I would tell you guys to buy and I'll just be sharing that with you all a little bit later so I'll see you guys, then all righty guys. So I just left work and I'm on my way home. I just want to change out of these clothes and just be, and some like sweats and a big t-shirt I'll see you guys when I get there all righty. So I just got home and I changed and I think I'm gon na go film - that curly hair starter kit, video that I was telling you all about so yeah get ready for it in three two one all righty, so I figured I would bring out like My more official camera and my ring light just because the lighting in my apartment sucks really bad right. Now it's super cloudy and gloomy outside, so I'm not getting a lot of good natural daylight, but I figured this would be. You know a good time to actually tell you guys what I think is the best curly hair starter kit. You would need, I mean personally starting off when I was starting to wear my hair curly. More often, I was like a product junkie. I was buying products left and right figuring out what I needed. Looking up things online always watching YouTube, and you know it would have been really nice. In my opinion, if I had someone who just like told me, okay well, if you're starting off or whatever you need these products, so that's basically what I'm gon na explain and kind of tell y'all the products that I think you need as a curly-haired girl starting Off and even products that I still use to this day, if anything, I use all of them to this day. So let's just jump right in and just a heads up all the products that I'm gon na be mentioning. I'M gon na link down below and I'll probably link some of the actual products that I personally use as well with it in case you wanted to try the things that I use specifically so first up, I would say all curly girl, all curly haired girls. There. We go um need a water spray personally. For me, my hair tends to dry quickly when I have no products in it. So especially when I come out of the shower, so I think a water spray really helps because product supplies best in my hair when it's soaking wet. So, as you guys have seen in my other videos, I have spray water in my hair and then I apply the product. So I think us water bottle spray is essential. You can get it from Sally's. You can get it from Target. You can get it from CVS, you can get it from Amazon. Whatever I would say, you just need one. You can find whatever one you like. Personally, I have two sizes. I have like a bigger one that holds more water, so I don't have to refill it as much and then I have a smaller one that I can use on the go or when I travel or things like that. I know this is something everybody has. If you don't I'll, be a little concerned, but just a regular specular t-shirt, a cotton t-shirt, whether it's a small large whatever you just need a t-shirt for a long time. I did use towels when I was starting off and brough. The fruisé was not cute. So in my video from two days ago, I had mentioned my top favorite deep conditioners for curly hair, and so it goes without saying that a deep conditioner has to be a part of your starter kit for sure, if you're, not in a habit of deep conditioning, Your hair girl, you better start it. You can pick and choose with 21 if there's ones that you have been using that you like awesome. If you want to see what my recommendations are check out, my video I'll link it down below, if you guys, want to watch it right now, just to say I really like to thank God, it's naturals one and the Shea Moisture one. So the next item is a hair clip, but not just like a cute little hair clip not like the little tiny ones that you use to pin back your hair like a big girl, hair clip personally, the ones I use are just from you know the drugstore Or wherever and they've really helped me out, I think I've used one for as long as I can remember so, if you're gon na buy something especially a hair accessory, buy a hair clip now, while we're on the topic of hair accessories. The other recommendation that I would have for you know your curly hair starter kit would be a satin scrunchie. I mean I mentioned it in the past they're great. I use it to go to bed and it really just helps decrease the amount of breakage I get from my ponytails and also with satin scrunchies, especially the big ones. I don't really get as much creases, so I know if you've ever used like a regular black hair tie, you get like those creases in your hair or those dents, and I hate them. They like. Oh, they drive me crazy when I get them. So I know using satins country really helps like decrease the amount of dents or creases that you get in your hair. The next recommendation for your starter kit kind of is like a two and one, so I'm gon na say a clarifying shampoo and then a conditioner. Just like a regular conditioner, not a deep conditioner that you can use as a co-wash in between the weeks that you aren't using an actual clarifying shampoo, now mind you when I say a clarifying shampoo. That doesn't mean okay use it every other day or every single week or whatever. For me, I only clear it like. We use a clarifying shampoo like every other week, every two weeks girl, you don't want Ashley hair, so you need an oil up in your life, whether that's a dry oil spray, actual oil. I know some people prefer like thicker oils, to put in their hair personally. For me, I like to use oil sprays, I personally have been using the OGX oils and, if we're thinking about like actual raw oils, I would say, castor. Oil is essential and it helps promote hair growth. If you don't know the benefits of castor oil, Google, it look it up. You'Ll. Thank me later now, if you're, the type that, when you're starting off and you're, you know kind of learning how to wear your curls, I mean personally, I didn't wear my hair out. All the time when I was starting to wear it curly I wore it and a lot of like high ponytails are a lot of buns a little a lot of sleek down buns. So if that's you, I would say, get a good edge control personally. For me, the the thank God it's Naturals one and the eco styler one - are a definite must in your collection and last but not least, of course, you need a good styling product. I know that's the biggest thing that us curly, haired girls go out and buy it, we're constantly wanting to try and try and try now for this. I don't want to just say: oh, you need a styling product because I don't want to keep it that general um, but I will tell you the top four products that I've tried that have really worked with my hair. So if you have a hair texture similar to mine, I would say these products might work really well on yours. If you don't, then I mean I can't tell you if they do just cuz, I mean I have an experience. I don't have your hair texture, starting off. Like I mentioned in my one product, washing though from three days ago, I think the Camille Rose Naturals curl maker, it's like a two-month one for me. I would also recommend the as I am curling jelly. I get it in the big tub and it lasts me a really long time, it's kind of like a two-in-one gel and leave-in, and I really really like it now. The other two products are separate, so one's a leave-in conditioner and the other ones at Joe. The leave-in conditioner that I really really like is the mix chicks leave-in, and I use that for like the first two years of starting off when I was wearing my hair. Curly and then I would put on top of the Lehman the diva curl Lite defining Joe, but I would say those four products are definite: must all righty so yeah. Those were the recommendations that I would have for. You know your go-to curling, your starter kit. I really hope this does help and if you are starting off with curly hair - and you just don't know what products to buy or what products to have in your essential kit, I think these would be a great start. I really do hope you enjoyed it and you found it useful comment down below if you have any other products that you would like to recommend to everyone else and don't forget to give this video a thumbs up, and you know if you want you can subscribe. I won't hate you if you don't. I love you if you do um but regardless. Thank you so much for tuning in and I'll see you guys in the next one bye.
