Hey guys welcome back to my youtube channel if you're new here, i'm jalessa today's video is a good one. I am so excited if you guys have been following me for a while. You know how obsessed i am with hair tools and i just can't resist and i always want to try new hair tools when they come out. Dyson just came out with the smooth dyson air wrap and i have the original. I bought it right away because i wanted to try it and i really just wanted to buy. The attachments like dyson still doesn't have just the attachments available online, so i had to buy the whole thing and now i'm like i don't know. I hope it was worth it, but the good thing is that you can use the dyson airwrap attachments, the new ones, with your old dyson air app. If you already have it, i will be posting another video right after this one. So please subscribe. So you don't miss out on that video um. I am going to be comparing this one, the new one to the old one, the original and i'm going to give you guys my honest review, my honest thoughts. Yes, i did buy this. I did spend 600 on something that i basically already have, but i really wanted to do this review for you guys because you guys have been requesting it but anyways, let's open it, i'm going to do a little unboxing. I kind of already opened it and peaked for a tick tock, so yeah, i kind of already opened it, but i haven't really unboxed it. So let's do that now. So here is the dyson air app packaging love it just like the original um beautiful. So, let's open this up, make sure you register your dyson air app because you're able to get free attachments. I think i haven't gotten one though i tried and they haven't sent me anything so i'm gon na try with this one, and hopefully i can get a free attachment, but i'll save this, and here it is how beautiful um i did kind of unwrap this part. Already, but you guys will see if you follow me on take talk on instagram, you guys will see those videos, you get a 1.6 inch and then you get the 1.2 inch so you're supposed to get smaller curls with this one and bigger ones with this one. What i like about these barrels is that you only need one for each size, because now you can just switch it right here and it will switch direction. So you don't have to take off the attachment and put the other side. That'S something that i never really liked about dyson era, but it didn't really bother me that much, but now that you're able to just use one attachment for your curls like that's way better. So this new attachment is supposed to be this attachment from the old dyson air wrap. So, as you can see, this is just gon na pretty much give you some air, it's gon na dry, your hair, but this one you can do two things with this one. You can dry your hair and you can also switch it and turn it into. I don't know if you do it this way, yeah you can also switch it and turn it into a flywheel attachment. So this is going to help bring down the little baby hairs. The round brush attachment is actually kind of the same but different in a way. This is different this right here, it's definitely more like a metal material. This one is more like a plasticky material, so i feel like this is going to give you a smoother blowout, because it's going to get hot, so i'm definitely going to try that today. This is the new dyson air, wrap, smoothing attachment, and this is the old one. It just has one in the middle that doesn't move, and then this one all of them move. If you guys are wondering what i used in the shower, i used the aveda smooth infusion. Anti-Frizz, shampoo and conditioner definitely need that because my hair gets very frizzy, especially now in the summer so and i'm gon na use the aveda smooth infusion style, prep smoother. So i'm gon na add some of that to my hair. This is also the first time that i blow out my hair since i got my pretty big chop in dr, so i'm excited to see how it looks blown out as well. I'M gon na use the aveda smooth infusion perfect blow dry um spray, so i'm just adding that to my hair. So i'm going to be trying this attachment. First, i'm going to put in the highest heat setting high speed, i'm just going to dry my hair. A little bit yeah, it feels good feels just like the original one feels just like this one. I don't want to dry my hair too much because then i'll get more frizz, but i am going to dry it a little bit. So i guess i'll use this. One first and then i'll use this one and give you guys my opinion on which one i like more so highest heat, setting, high speed and i'm just gon na try to smooth it out the most. I can it's very easy to use. I don't feel like it's making my hair frizzy wow. You can still see those highlights. I got highlights um, maybe like a month ago, i ended up dyeing my hair again because i didn't really like them. I thought they looked a little bit too orangey. You can still kind of see them. I have to dye my hair again. Definitely smoothing out my hair very well. Oh my god. My hair is so sore. Hopefully it grows quick. I always make my hair grow very quickly. It'S a bunch of oils and stuff. So i'm not really worried but wow, it's short, okay. So this is what my hair looks like. I think it looks pretty good, very nice and smooth so and i'm going to use the other attachment i'm going to use the other smoothing one. But this is the soft smoothing one, so i'll do another section with this one. So this one's nice too wow it's very sweet. So i like this one as well, but i think i'm gon na stick to this one because i do feel like it gives me a smoother blowout, so i'm gon na go with the rougher one. I have to um my curly hair needs it okay. So here's one side - it's just very like straight: i would definitely need to use the round brush attachment to give my hair a little bit of a bounce or something. But this is a very nice attachment to use. If you just want to dry your hair, i never realized how much hair i cut off. My hair is so short, but you know what it's the summer, i'm gon na leave my hair curly most of the time and my hair grows super quickly. So it's fine at least it's easier to blow out my hair. So i'm going to finish this side now and then i'll use the round brush attachment all right guys. So i am done drying my hair with the paddle brush attachment, and i just have to say i mean i don't love how it looks, obviously, because this is just basically like the first step, um, so yeah. I just really use this mostly to dry. All my hair, because it's very hard to dry and blow out all your hair with just this attachment. So now i'm going to use the round brush attachment to kind of smooth everything out a little bit more so yeah, i'm just going to put this in the highest heat setting, i'm just smoothing everything out, looks way better. Okay, i am done smoothing out my hair wow. This is a process. Sometimes i just really appreciate leaving my hair natural leaving it curly and calling it a day because my hair, like it it looks pretty smooth but like wow, it's a process. So now i'm gon na curl, my hair, by the way i actually really enjoyed using the round brush attachment, because i felt like it gave me a lot more shine than the original, and i don't know i just really like this metal now i feel like it Gets a little bit hotter so be careful, maybe don't use it on like wet hair, but i feel like it's very nice, to use on pretty dry hair, so i'm going to curl to this direction. So let's do this! I'M gon na take a pretty small section and i'm not trying to get like super tight curls. I just want some bounce there. You have it super nice, very bouncy, just like a very simple curl, beautiful love it so here's this side now, i'm gon na. Do this section, so i'm gon na just switch it to the other side. Super easy! You don't have to change out the attachment. I love that already about this one, all right guys. So here's what my hair looks like after curling it i'm going to use the flyaway attachment. This is the final attachment that i'm going to use and i'm just going to kind of try to smooth out this right here. Okay, so this one's a little bit tricky to like understand at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard to use so wow looks way more smooth, okay, so this one's definitely a little bit tricky to get the first time like it's A little bit hard to understand, there's just so much going on with this attachment like this is a two-in-one attachment. So you have to keep in mind that you don't want to move this and then open it and turn it into this attachment. But you also have to keep in mind that you have to move this to different directions. I definitely like the dyson supersonic flywheel attachment more than this one, though this two in one is like a little confusing at first. Maybe i'll get the hang of it over time, but i do like the other one. I think it's like more easy to use and yeah. Maybe i'll get the hang of it over time, but it is definitely a little bit tricky to use the firewood attachment at least but anyways. That is it for this video. What do you guys think? Do you guys, like the final look, i definitely like the curls and the volume that i got and i just feel like, since it is very humid outside and it's the summer. I will definitely need a straightener to be able to have this blowout last at least a couple hours, because i just feel like. If i go out, my hair is just going to get frizzy right away, but i have very curly hair. This is what my hair looked like in the beginning of this video, by the way, it's very big and curly, and it gets very frizzy so yeah i think it looks pretty sleek. You know i do have very curly hair um. So i think i got a pretty sleek look. What do you guys think? Do you guys, like the new dyson air, wrap um? It took so much time because I would need to blow dry straight and then use the attachments and my hair felt very coarse. I have curls like yours and was hoping Dyson would just come out with either a round brush attachment with the two types of bristles like the Revlon has or just a standalone airbrush. I’m still voting for the Revlon because I can straighten AND give volume and curves in one step, much easier and shorter process, not to mention a huge price difference. Raghad Khalil: Girl we have the exact same hair! I definitely want the dyson, but the humidity is such a killer I gotta stick with the straightener for the summer like you said. You really see how the curler attachment must be nice for people with straight hair, sigh. You should do a review of the L’Oréal Steampod! It always gets me the best results at the salon, I’m thinking of buying one for myself.

Eden Rae: I have thick, curly and semi coarse hair, and I just tried the Dyson last night, except I didn’t realize there was a round brush attachment in the box! I was so disappointed with the outcome. Going to try the round brush this time around.

Dragana: Being a Dyson airwrap owner as well, I don’t think these attachments are worth it lmao. But im gonna get the skinniest 20 mm air wrap barrel attachment when it comes out. Canada hasn’t even received these attachments so gotta wait for it. I would only get it to stop switching the barrel since they do get hot and and it’s annoying to keep switching and the 20mm is my fav. Maybe the 30 mm barrel is something I would get too cause it gives nice bouncier looking curls too. Maybe the pre dryer fly away attachment as well but you said it dries the same as original pre dryer ? I was hoping it would be a more gentle air flow so the hair isn’t blowing all over the place. And thanks for talking about the fly away attachment. I just realized what a difference it is for the Dyson supersonic blowdryer. The supersonic attachment looks like it works way better. Can you play around with the airwrap fly away attachment to see if it actually is effective or just a gimmick cause I would rather save my money, especially if it blow dries the same as the pre dryer. I was hoping it would blow less air, like be a more concentrated nozzle to reduce frizz. The new smoothing brushes don’t look like they work much differently than the original. Could you confirm that in your next video cause I watched all Dyson videos and they did say they removed the bristles in the middle to keep the hair in the brush better for a proper blow out but idk if it makes a difference LOL

Hala Nasser: Can you test air wrap on your damped hair without blow-drying beforehand?

Andi W.: Great video and you always look stunning! However, I have one point of criticism: Did you notice that you were holding the flyaway tool the wrong way? This gave me great results when holding it right. The big round part needs to rest on your hair, and the wide switch on top automatically flips in the right direction when you press it gently on your head. There are several videos here on YouTube where they show it the right way Dyson released a short video three months ago introducing the new attachments and at the very end they also show how to properly use the flyaway attachment

I won't buy it for me. I feel i can get those results using other hair tools that are more affordable. I still think is a great hair tool for anyone who can afford it. KatyandJoemac: I think it did a good job! Do you feel that the Dyson does do less damage to your hair than other heat tools? I think that would be the reason for going for this one against curling with regular heat tools. It does a very good job if it the Dyson really is better for your hair. I like the straighter curling barrels on the new one. I long for the Dyson airwrap. One day!

Miss 310: I have straight hair and purchased this as soon as it was available. Unfortunately I returned it because the curls just wouldn’t stay. Tried different methods, but still got the same results. I really wanted to love and keep it. But the results didn’t justify the price. Especially since I saved up for it.
