Okay, alright, so what we did is we took some wax a wax mixture also mix with Jill and just finger twisted his hair down and put clips on, and we left the clips up until his hair was dry. We set him under a dryer and put Clips over on the tips and on the roofs and wait until this dryer and kitchen. Also, I can see the back. I don't know if you can see that clearly, but what we have here is thick loose finger. Coils now I know right now they look loose and they don't look like dreads, but this is just the beginner phase. This is how they start off when they begin he's had a do-rag on over it. If you can see they're kind of you see they're gon na stay like this and before he did this, he actually has a medium texture here, so he had an afro. Basically, I did do something that I wouldn't recommend, but it will. It worked in his case because I, like I said he did, have an afro before it is, and so what I did is I left the clips in overnight and he slept with a do-rag on and we twisted these down, like I said and twisted these down And he slept with a do-rag on with a gel mixture, a light gel mixture, and it had also some wax in there like hair wax and the part that I wouldn't recommend other than sleeping with these. All over your head is uh. You see the back. The part that I wouldn't recommend is, I did take some extreme hold hairspray and I sprayed it on there to kind of keep the hair in place. While everything sort of dried out somebody needs to come in the bathroom just just a minute, hello, yeah. Well, you can make a bio, precise and so yeah. So, as you can see here, we have big coils here and they will stay like that. Now we're gon na go back and get him retwist it every two weeks because of his hair textures and, like I said I keep mentioning. I know it's hard to believe me. Look at his hair that he had afro before this, because his hearing such a medium texture, but he did a actual with nappy, throw my son is mixed. He shot Roberts, he was mixed. It'S just his hair got kind of wet when they twist it down to mixture, so it uh. So it looks straighter now than it did before. But this is all you need to do is just twist it down into these coils and just keep them. You know keep them wrapped when he goes to sleep, keep the clips in until his hair dries and I'm gon na keep posting updates and what's gon na happen. Here is um. His hair is gon na nap up inside these coils and, as he keeps getting a tree twisted it's gon na it's gon na lock up more like about there's. I feel these they're thick they're, not I'm just got to get it close. You see. These are gon na lock up and, like I said, I'm going to keep posting updates and and show you guys his progress on this side twisted a little tighter and put clips on the ends and on the tips and you let me see the back over here. Yeah, if I can get in closer yeah, that's a good, better view right there you see they look just like you know, just fit coils. You know not like traditional black people here. Look when you twist it down they'd be a little smaller than this, but this is not actually a big coil or a lot of heritage to see you got big curls, so we didn't wait and try to do his natural curl pattern or anything and make it All hard just simple twist it down finger twist it with a gel wax mixture and then put the clips on until it's dry. I wouldn't recommend using the hold spray I did because, like I said he had a kind of an afro before it is so but yeah. So now I'm gon na stop for a minute and take all the clips out and show you guys what that looks like. I took all of the clips out and you can see, I don't know if you can see that in the light, the guy who was twisting this side, he twisted them down pretty tight and you know on the retwist. Both sides will be a little more even, but you know somebody's, he twists it down, really lovely. No, but he's got a bunch of driz here that are twisted down really tight and over here you know some of these are a little bit looser, but as he gets it retwist it they'll come down tighter. You know, go down underneath somebody's fluffier ones. You can see that these are you know, holding really well, and you know it just takes time and they're gon na they're gon na lock up. So if you're mixed just you know, give us some time, you see the twist do hold it as long as these twists hold, and you see they got a little whether it is gon na lock up. You just have to get them re -- twisted off it. In the early stages, I would even retwist it every two weeks. You know, and they don't worry so much about it, make that giving you tidy dreads, because they're gon na they're gon na grow. You know as soon as you get them locked, then you can uh they're gon na most likely lock here at the tips and as soon as they get locked, then you don't have to go every two weeks to get them retwist it. You see this one was a little bit. You see a loose one, you know you just give it a little more of a twist. You know it'll flush right back up, but if it's not a big deal, some dreads are going to be tighter. Some we're gon na be a little bit looser. That'S just part of the start to process. You know you go down under here and you got. You see the little puff balls at the tip. That'S gon na what it's gon na do is it's gon na tangle up this one has a more of a looser feel to it. Just go back and you just twist them a little bit and I don't know if you can see it, but it's a little bit of white flakiness in here. That'S not dandruff. His hair was clean before he got twisted. That'S because I use that hold spray and, like I said I don't recommend that, but I really wanted this hair to stay in place overnight. See you go to the back. He'S got a lot of big ones, but there's no big deal. These are gon na stay. You see, you see his parts and the roots are really what matters most. As long as you can get these roots twisted down and held in place. The other side see this side is really twisted kind of tight, so he would twist it down like some little early for us. This was gon na help out with the locking process. No, you see these are gon na lock up just fine, so mixed people out there all you need what does the coffee shop waxworks? It was waxworks and holding job a little bit of holding gel and you just finger twist them down. There'S any one. Common oils is finger coils and, like I said this little residue here is no. Where is first watch you know, sandwich won't be that far from now it'll get out to add a little extra residue. You know it's this ain't, nothing, but they hold the spray that I put on here myself. You know - and I don't worry - I'm gon na use that again don't use no hold and spray. You know like I said I used it this time, but it's not necessary. Just the clips until it's dry, wax works and hold until and yeah look up a little bit. You pull one of these out, so they can see yeah see these is gon na turn into dregs. Just got ta. Give it a little bit of time. Just give us some time to lock up just give us some time lock up nicely into some nice dress. It'S the end of the video I posted a picture of. Did you take a picture of you out front when you had it picked off? You know. Well, your hair is usually in the fro, so see if I got a picture and post actually got to see what textures here is before all of this started, you got a bunch of those stand up real, quick and leave the back for everybody. Your turnips welcome! You know like there we go step right. Did you see some of them? Like I said, look like some twists. You know he gon na be gon na, be playing with him twisting them. You know doing whatever make sure you twist them in the same direction. You don't need to put no products or nothing on there until you know until you're, getting it retwist it turn over here. Yeah there you go, you know, dress for Miss folks. I will keep posting update videos. I show you that Heidi's locked up, you know you get a retwist that I'm gon na make sure you do both sides the same because this side over here they twisted it down like a Negro. It'S tied over here Lucia it's tied over here a little bit. Some of them are a little bit looser some of what you did down here. You know you guys saw that a twister kind of tight. You know, but it don't really don't matter. You know it's gon na live either way. You know real special treatment. No, nothing! Gon na be good all right, so thank you like the video and subscribe and I will be posting updates. Then you'll know how his LOC journey is done. You

Shae 9: Im mixed black and white. No wax. No thick creams. I washed my hair and let it air dry and i twist and ripped my hair. I could wash my locs that week without any unraveling. I never use wax it will make your locs linty inside. I retwist for maintenance and i now have bra strap length locs. A lot of times i retwist in the shower when i wash my hair just to keep my roots twisted. I recommend twist.
