RaDona's videos are specifically for those that are wanting to learn how to cut hair, learn new skills as a hair stylist and to be able to show your own hair stylist, the hairstyle and cut you would like.

Hi i'm rodona from boys and girls hairstyles. Today i have nancy with me and um. I wanted to show you her cute cut. We are going to do it short and spiky here. She wants it a little longer here kind of like mine, that comes over. So when we go to dry it we're going to dry it this way and i'll show you when we get to that part. Obviously, but let's start in the back, she just wants it. Super duper easy. So we're going to go short here all right, i'm just going to dry that a little bit, and with this cut too, you can have it a little fringy. If you want at the bottom um, i have a few people that, like it a little fringy and stuff, but most people they like it just off they like it short and off so okay, then we're going to come up here. We'Re going to take this length off because we just want it to be able to come up with the flat iron and have it short and spiky and fun okay. So i'm going to follow the shape of the head! Okay and then i'm going to come tight here towards the nape area, she doesn't want to have to deal with any of that right, nancy in the back. She said just get rid of it. Okay, i'm going to come here on the right side. Oh, i have to grab my other cone and then point cut into it. That'Ll just give it some more texture in there and nancy has fine thin hair. So this is a really good style for fine thin hair like mine. So i'm just gon na follow this down and make it tight to her nape. That'S what i always love too. When i go to get my cut that bag there's just something about it, having it short and once you've had it short, you don't really want anything. Touching your neck plus it's too easy to style, just like nancy said when it's longer she's like trying to get it to lay down or comb it down, and it's just kind of doing its own thing. So obviously, if you have it shorter, then you don't have to deal with it. Okay, point cut into that, and i'm just kind of you can see that i'm kind of off to the side a little bit again, i'm staying close to her head right here in the nape area and then this side - okay. So i'm just coming in here cutting into that kind of point cutting in to that. Okay, now we'll start on this side! No wonder you couldn't do anything with your hair nancy. It'S too long need to book my appointment before i leave today to make sure i can get in and find out. Yes, that's actually a perfect idea. Perfect person reminders on your phone now i won't forget right. That is nice right. Do you love that yeah? I'Ve had a lot of people tell me they've enjoyed that. So that's been nice, okay, now this side and it's crazy. So if you have fine thin hair and it grows out, it just starts feeling kind of wispy and endy and just kind of it just doesn't really do really what you want it to do, but once you cut thin hair into a style or shorter, it literally Will help the look of the hair and the fill of the hair just by getting the fine ends off? Okay, all right now, so she likes this front long or this front a little longer. So what i'm going to do is go from the spiky just up to that corner, because that corner is the length in the front so see when that falls, it's going to be the length, so you don't take that off. Okay, so i'm just taking that in between just up to that length in the front. Okay and now her sides we're gon na hold that out and take that length there and just point cut into this and come around up to the top okay. So right here i'm going to take my hand or my fingers and come along there to get that length and then i'll come down from the bottom up. Take that length away there and then just come in here and piece this out by opening and shutting my shears softly. Okay, now we'll do this leg take that length, and you can see that i'm just bringing that up to connect with the layer on top okay and then again, i'm just going to hold that up, make sure that's connected there and then she likes that one. But i'm going to just kind of piece into her ends here: okay and then i'm going to check her sides make sure they're, even by pulling them out. If there's any little piece, it feels a little long. Just go back through okay, yeah texture. Texture is what we love for short hair will definitely help it stand up, um and obviously, with with thinner hair. I mean you have to be a little careful, but you need to have some in there to let it um stand up and then with nancy up through here, i'm going to just bring and i'm going to just chunk some little pieces out up through this area. Just the top just to make it a little bit piecier! That'S what you wanted right! Yes, okay! So if you can hold it up like this and it stays up, then you have enough texture. If not, you need a little more. So you can see how like see how that fronts kind of okay go like this. With that front, you can see it, but this stays up. This needs a tiny bit more through this area, so i'm going to come up about a half inch and just do a couple. Little cuts right there and that's going to give it see how it's staying up better. Okay, now the root lifter through the top to obviously make it stand up. The mousse are you doing good nancy, i'm just great okay, good and then the volume and lift spray? Okay, then we're going to dry that okay and then obviously, when you get to the top you're, just going to go back and forth back and get forth volume staying that way this way, so i can go back and forth make sure you wait till it's a Little dry before you start using this brush and you won't love it. So if it's a little dry, then you're really going to love it. So you can see how i'm drying this this way, i'm going to turn it on low okay. So this is another way you can tell if you have enough texture, because after you get done drying it, it stands up. That'S what we love so um. Two little drops of oil, i'm just gon na rub through this, you can see. Take the flat iron just come straight up and straight out. Some people ask: why do you do spiky and i say because my clients love it. So if they love it, that's what i do all right nancy, it's looking good! I'M just kind of using this clay. Piecing this out: okay, now i'm going to back comb it a little bit and that how i do that is just in down and out and just pretty much in the base. You can see right here, um and then i like to spray it, and then i will just take my comb and then after i spray it, then that's when i put it into place. Okay and then i'm going to turn her. So i can see where i'm putting her hair. So it's like don't have a mirror in front of me. Do you like my hair? You have short hair again yay. You know i can live yeah lookie, we're twinsies. I know look at that. Yes, yes, yes, no! One will recognize me no they're gon na be like who is that one cute? Okay, so i'm gon na spray, her and um. What i'm going to do is there's one little piece right here that i'm going to just kind of texture into just do the finishing touches whatever you guys want to use. Okay, sweet all right! Thank you, nancy, for letting us do that. You guys, thanks again for watching. I hope you enjoyed it um, it's been a fun day salon and we will chat later. You
