Hey Beauties it's Viviana and today I don't know why. What I have a sudden urge to big chop well, not really to big chop person, but I'm feeling for short hair, at least temporarily, so before I could reach for the scissors. I came across this photo of my Ben friend no husband, and this was back when we were in University, but focus on that here focus on my hair phone authorities. My hair was actually long and relaxed in this photo yeah. The mini effort you see in this photo is actually crochet braids, oh dear, so, looking back at this photo, I realized that it's the wrong hero bought. I hope this can still work. Cute short, look temporarily without reaching for the scissors, so my hair right now is freshly washed gum and the only thing I have in it is leaving conditional. So here's a benefact shot, I'm going to do some cute cornrows to the front of my head yeah, because you know I want to add some accessories. So let me just separate that section it ain't perfect, but for real, this partner won't even show up. So in the front of my hair, I just only skipped through this part very quickly. I don't. I don't really know even what I'm doing yet. I just want a nice cute little corner style, so I'm just winging it. Let'S balance it out into the other side. Yeah - let's do that add in some edge control to make the part nice and neat foreign if it ain't moisturize? Okay, so I want another cornrow right in the center. I want one of those nice looking inspired. Braids yeah. I want a Fulani inspired Corner pattern. Foreign. Thank you. That'S not bad! That'S not bad at all. Look at me not looking like a full amateur all right so now I have to figure out the pattern for this side of my hair, so I can duplicate it on this side of my hair foreign. It can look very gappy if you don't position the cornrows right so to prevent too much Gap showing at the front of my hair. I want to link all these cornrows as like a anchor braid for the front pieces of curly hair yeah in theory. That is supposed to help the front of my hair cannot Fuller and seamless and real. How could I just do a wash and go? Let me just do this, like I don't know, and that's done, but that's not what we're doing so. What I'm gon na do now is to put some jumbo cornrows in the back of my head. They can't be too big girl, because the hair is so short. I don't want the Cardinals to be too big so that the hair can't really wrap around them. You know what I mean so for this style to work. I need all my hair to be totally hidden, so what I'm doing is, while I'm doing these jumbo cornrows, I'm picking up the end of the previous cornrow and adding it to the cornrow that I'm currently doing all right. The hardest part is going now hello. I'Ve been at this, for I don't wan na, have funny parties for y'all. This is only going to be like three minutes, but now I need to deal with these pieces of hair, so I'm going to use some embroidered thread and I'm going to sew these pieces of hair up between the cornrows and by so I mean I'm using my Crushing needle that's what it's called right, no my latch hook needle yeah I used my latch hook needle and my embroidery thread to hold my hair in place and with these pieces of hair at the front, I'm going to cross them. Yeah toss it like this kind of that's on my head, second work, and so it don't like this. Let'S hope the fake hair is fluffino to hide the bulges. I really hope this works. I hope this works. I always works, ladies and gentlemen. That was fun. I need a break, it was a long break. So when I was on my break, I doubled up this old photo of when I first did this style and when I saw this photo, that's when I realized I, I definitely bought the wrong hair. It'S not even about the burner or anything, but the hair I bought comes on a width yeah. This part here that you're supposed to sew onto your head. This is called The Wave. I can just use my scissors and cut the hair off fine over that's here, but then plus 20 inches, and this is only 10 inches. It should be fine, it's gon na be fine, we'll divide, our afro is just going to be a lot shorter than I originally intended. Let'S get started so cutting. Let me just show you the technique. Take a piece at the front: all right so push it through and my latch is forehead. This is close. This is perfect, put it through. Okay, I'm just gon na go nothing, and that's that oh crap! This is definitely not the correct hair. Just continue, though, it'll be fine, it'll be fine foreign because it come off the web. It just shitty shitty and sheddy yeah, okay, well, yeah, um I'ma, go to the beauty, supply store and buy the correct here, I'm back so I have the part here this time. So it's bulk Afro kinky hair, and that means no way so it has these little elastics pulling them together, so just remove the elastic so for future reference educational purposes. Key is not the same as Africa, and the thing is, if it wasn't for the shedding I'd. Try and make it work. You know I don't try and make it work, but this hair was shedding everywhere. So let's start this artist and it's the same technique through one night, maybe I'm just biased as well, but even looks fuller. So I have here color number. Four and one being 27. - I'm not even done yet, but I'm loving all this looking so far, That's so exciting! This is all the hair I have left from the two packs. It should be able to finish up this glass this last section, so I've switched up the technique to the front of my hair. So I get a more seamless blend yeah. Let me show you that so this is it so I'll push the crochet needle through take up the hair right at the center okay, but instead of pulling the entire hair through I'm going to push the needle back forward and I'm picking up half of the hair And pull it through and that way I have a nice full piece at the front to blend yeah yeah. Do you like it? Okay made my hair. Look, this short or is it yeah it's very today? Oh, it's very hot sorry wondering he pulled me. The first time remember exactly I was wondering if you would remember. I hope I got the shape right. I am loving this like I am feeling myself like he can do this technique with almost any type of hair bulk hair stay away from the hair on waves. Anyway, views, I really hope you guys enjoyed this video and give me a thumbs up. If you did, I am so glad I did this style. Silence Says: Since my hair lives vicariously through yours, I said, "Oh no! You're not cutting MY hair off!" Edit: Wow it turned out so cute, and it's so nice that your husband remembered your "way back" style.

Ali Iannucci: One of the best things about Viv's videos is that she goes for the big final style, but she always hits 3 or 4 totally wearable styles along the way. The front cornrows with the back puff? Super cute! Full head of cornrows? Super cute! The cornrows sewed up together with string? Super cute! The final style! Super cute!!!

sobanoodles: Girl you had me gasp from that notification. Can’t wait to see the crochet look

kim yee: Girl, I planned to do this to my hair too but feeling lazy. Is like the universe telling us to do this. I loved the outcome ❤

LuccaAce: The desire to chop all your hair off is so relatable. And the outcome is fantastic!!! It's so cute!

Dannie: Thank you for showing us the mistakes! It's reminder to keep trying even if we mess up; expecting perfection, especially while learning, is foolish. Also, the style came out beautiful !

Sallie Henshaw: I'm 90% here for your vibe, because I absolutely love it, but 10% is definitely for the memes you edit into your videos. My sister laughed at me because I'm always cackling when I watch your videos. ❤️ Keep being awesomely you!! Edit: The final look was awesome. Such a great way to rock a short hair vibe without the commitment.

MoonChild: As a lady of the "Caucasian persuasion", I'm LIVING for this hair! It's beautiful!!

Kathy Johnson: This is one of the most flattering styles you have worn! My other favorites are the ones with different curl patterns such as the famous bobby pin curles

Tracey Baron: OMG! You never cease to amaze me with your talent. This looks absolutely beautiful, you’re sooooo gorgeous. I can’t believe how you can braid you’re own hair in so many different ways, I can only put in a boring old standard braid that makes me look like I’m still living in the 60s . I love watching your videos. Hugs from Canada ❤

ToeBeanz: It looks so good! For a sec I was worried the lighter color was gonna look like grey hair but it makes it look so natural and beautiful, you did amazing

E Brown: GORGEOUS!! And your hair is, too! Loved the cameo with your supportive and wonderful husband! Especially since he remembered you wearing this style from your university days!

Petra Johnson: Gorgeous. Every time I get the urge to perm my hair, I think of you. Good job!

Annette Broomhall: If you use a decorative ribbon or bright embroidery thread, this taped up style will look magnificent. Medieval women used similar techniques to put up their ordinary braids. Makes you look regal and gorgeous

Bunni Beshara: Keeping shears away from by hair is a struggle ‍♀️ I cut my hair three separate times during quarantine. It’s finally getting long again!! Can’t wait to see the finished look!

Panda girl: This looks so gorgeous! I'm feeling inspired!

Tiffy Wiffy: Oh my! This came out so cute. I actually think I may try this! Love you Viv

74days: My hair is.... typical 1A hair... but I looooove all the amazing styles that you do! Every method you use gives such a different result and shows just how versatile hair can be if you look after it well! Healthy and beautiful!

Nancy W: the Stranger Things clip got me When I saw the thumbnail and the title I was like "She didn't!!" I should have know better. Not everyone is as impulsive/impatient as me when it comes to growing out my hair. I always get my hair cut "boy short" and after almost every haircut once it gets to the slightly awkward to style phase I start thinking "maybe I should grow it out more so I can curl and style it easier" but then it gets to the really awkward phase and I don't want to deal with it anymore and get it cut super short again. I've bought a couple wigs but I am not confident wearing them out of the house. ANYWAYS, I looove how your hair turned out, it's so cute and fun. Makes me wish I had braiding skills to do crochet braids.

Mikayla Arias: I absolutely love this style on you!☺️ I love how patient you are too, my weak arms could never!! God bless you beautiful Queen.

R. Smith: You are SO TALENTED!!!! I love watching you do your hair. I wish I had half your skills. You look stunning as always. ❤️

The Underdog Hero: I consinder for the big chop after having heat damage and watching you give me hope to not cut all my hair and hopefully my hair will go back to it's 4c texture

Diane S: I would never have the patience to do this. Kudos sis!!! It’s turned out beautifully.

Sagirah AKA EVILbunny22: You've been talking about making your hair grow out so that it reach your butt I was like this BS I refuse to believe she was about to cut her hair after talking about how long she wanted it!! Lol yes it looks sooooo good!!!!

Jo B: I love your energy and all your videos, thank you for always sharing styles with us

Dominoe Harlee: I love love love it! It looks so good and I love that you chose a different color, so cute <3

TheEmpressSheba: Love it! I might do this myself! Thanx Viv

artsygal112: Girl...I feel u. I had done the big chop back in...2013 I think as well cause my hair had fallen out from stress. I grew it out and it was on the mend....then it fell out again from stress (professional school stress is no picnic people ). I should cut my hair, cause it's now in the regrowth phase, but will I? No. There is no way ur getting me to go through that awkward hair length again! When it was short, it was cute! But that in between period between long and short? Where nothing u do makes it look cute? Nope, not doing it again. I'm perfectly fine slowly trimming my hair until the regrowth equals out the longer parts

empressnikia: This is so cuteee! I want to try this now ☺️

Ka0s Kitt: Oh, this is so, so lovely! It fits you so weonderfully well =D

Rachel Henry: Wow it looks amazing! My hair is a totally different texture as yours and i am wondering, do the bulky braids ever bother you while you sleep? It reminds me a bit of sleeping in sponge rollers. They could be so uncomfortable if your pillows were done wrong
