Monat has a wide range of products to make sure that they cater to all of your hair needs and hair types. In this case, RaDona is going to use some “magic” products to help give our client the appearance of thicker hair as well as add movement and volume. To start with the styling, RaDona starts with using Monat’s Root lifter. With this, it will help lift the roots up from her clients hair to help make the roots lift and appear thicker. This way it also adds some volume to her clients thinning hair. She then uses Monat’s Moxie Magnifying Mousse. This will help condition the hair while providing a touchably soft hold. This will also help give RaDona’s client volume, body, and movement. Make sure that you only use one squirt of Monat’s Moxie Magnifying Mousse since it is super concentrated. After you blow dry the hair, you can just leave the hair like this. If you want to style it, you can use Monat’s clay to help move the hair to stand up and piece out. Then you will use Monat’s Rejuvenique Oil to help with any frizz.
Thank you for watching our videos. We value our clients and our viewers and look forward to making many more videos to come. Join RaDona’s email list so you can get all of the inside of her tips and tricks.

eileen oposnow: Radona is fantastic. I had been a hairdresser in my twenties (I am now 70). Recently after viewing her videos I am able to cut and style my hair more up to date and stylish than it has been. However, my hair is not only fine but has thinned much over the years due in great part over the years to thyroid onset in my forties, so I am skittish about texturing my hair to make it look “plumper”. Can she show us some more flattering styles for women like me? I am not afraid to try new fun things! Recently I colored my silver hair a dusty lavender with permanent hair color, which is still nice as it fades out. Doubt it if I would ever go with a blue or a green but I may give a rose blonde a try. Any other suggestions?
DoeZ: Wow!!! I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d ever see an older woman at least older than me (and I’m mid 50’s) rock the same kind of hair style I wear. Of course I have the blonde highlights and also purple highlights LoL to go with my spikes. LOVE the haircut. You go girl!!! Ignore all the haters and negativity they’re jealous they can’t rock the look.
Laura Shore: I LOVE IT!!!!!!! As a senior, I love a great, fun haircut. Just because we are older doesn't mean we don't want to be a little "Hip". Great job!
arlene kerans: I am nearly 79 and I got my hair cut even shorter than this...like a long crew cut. I get nothing but complements on it. My face is unlined and my neck is smooth. I stopped dying it and it is overall grey now. Different colors throughout...natural grey. I love it.
GA Grammie: As an older (71) woman with a pixie cut, fine hair, who would like to still remain current I can see why her client would want a pixie cut. The problem I have with this video is the quality of the cut. Never has my stylist EVER used those clippers on mine and my style is versatile, age appropriate, and easy to maintain. Yes, it is cut over the ears and yes, the back is short but not with clippers. I've had it this way for a few years now and I now see just how lucky I am to have an excellent, master stylist. Even if money is an issue, and isn't that true for most if us, no one should settle for a botched cut. If you like the style take a few photos to show another stylist as a guide but look for someone who can do a softer version. A little softness is necessary once we age. My sides are cut a bit longer and angle toward my face with a wispy look. I, too, like my bangs longer but then I have a higher forehead to hide than this lucky woman. The back of my hair transitions to a very short back for easy upkeep. Upkeep can be had without the clippers and the almost bald places this poor woman will have to grow out. And it won't grow out evenly either! A good cut will still look good even as it starts to get to long. Due to a health issue, I once went over 10 weeks without a cut. Not that I am suggesting doing that but I was still getting compliments the week before my cut. Yes, the style was a little different from the fresh cut but I was still able to make small changes and it still looked good. No one but myself knew it was supposed to be much shorter. So, whether you are old or young no one should settle for a bad cut. For those of you who are more 'mature', if you want a short, sassy, pixie cut then go for it. Do want makes you feel good. After all, haven't we spent enough years worry about others opinions?
judy lee: I just got a cut very similar to this and I love it there's a lot you can do with the top. Scrunch it, comb it all to one side, it's very versatile. I get a lot of compliments on it cause it suits my face shape and it's great for summer.
Eaglette: I sport a #3 all over pixie and love it! This woman looks wonderful and the cut took years off her too! Thank you for sharing.
Andria Alvarez: My mom is going to be 75 in a few weeks and about to get this same cut done by me. This lady is rockin' this look and so will my mom. Haters are gonna hate. Age should never dictate the type of hairstyle you have. It's your life and your hair, live it and do it however you want.
TheAmericanSpice: This is awesomely cool!! It's quick, easy AND I can do it myself!! Tired of paying someone else to screw up my hair!! I'm 56 and know I WILL Rock this pixie haircut!! Thank You for a great video and showing this beginner how it's done!!
Tina Coleman: Love this haircut/style! I'm 66 with thin and very fine hair. I wear mine in an undercut asymmetrical pixie. So easy to care for and always looks good.
Lilbit4u weird: It looks awesome. Super fun and edgy! That's the point of this pixie cut, for all you who don't have a clue what you're looking at. Your hair represents your personality. There is no age limits!
princessdiamond123: You rock girl! This my moms signature style all different variations of this cut. When her hair grows out I cut it for her when she can’t get to her stylists. She always get compliments when I cut it for her, her stylists says I do a great job too...I’m a natural(fast learner)...just give me the ✂️and I’ve got this! Lol , I like learning new techniques & I thank you
patsie lee: I love every cut and style of yours that I've seen. I think it's wonderful that someone young, stylish and talented as you are, helping older women to look nice. Plus, you actually fix hair the way your client wants. You are a rarity my dear.
Diane O'Conner: To all the negative commenters, take a chill pill. The cut looks nice on her and will be easy for her to 'fix' every day. I'm all about simple when it comes to doing my hair. Oh, and btw, I'm 70 years old. Yes, we do get tired of doing our hair and makeup, but we do it because the older we get, the more it takes to look nice. After all, you're the ones looking at us!
Linda Collison: I am so happy to see this haircut. I lost all my hair to chemo and when it finally came back (not all of it came back) it was very dark brown not blond as I had been all my life. I've been so frustrated and embarrassed that I don't go out much. I have a wig but it's so uncomfortable. I really didn't mind being bald once I got used to it so almost wish that it would all fall out again. I have areas in my hair where there are spots with no hair at all. I'm hoping that I can explain it to my hairdresser and see if she can duplicate what you've done. With being bald for so long then having this nasty mess, I haven't seen her in about 2 years. I'm hoping that she can help me. Possibly, I can send her a link to this page. Thanks for posting this. It gives me hope. :)
Jean Lankton: I'm 65 years old with heavy coarse hair. I've worn a pixie cut for years. My cut is done super short completely with clippers. The one comment I always receive is "I wish I could wear my hair like that!". Some women think a short haircut affects their femininity. Not at all! Your sense of being feminine comes from within.....not your hair!
Oranges Poranges: Love it and I also love the stylist’s haircut. I’d love to have my hair like that but my hair is very fine. I just did a 1” clipper cut all over by myself. I have thinning hair and was tired of cleaning it up in the shower, etc. Going to color it fun colors now. Also got a wig to play with. My hair has gotten thinner and thinner over the years. I’m late 40’s now. I just can’t grow long hair anymore.
marinemom351 mom: I am 65 and this is exactly how I wear my hair. I get so many compliments on my hair from women my age, some who say they wish they could wear their hair like mine. I tell them to just do it because it grows back. This cut looks great on her. I love it.
pmlitz: I wore this style for years and loved it. (I may go back) it’s super cute with a tight w back neck line!♥️ it’s so difficult to find a person who can cut this style
Terri Laycock: Looks great!
tufalike: I am in LOVE with your own hair cut and asked dozens of times (showing the picture) to have that hair cut to no avail, walked out with just a short hair cut, every time! I am 62 now and done with hair dressers. Started to cut my hair myself last year, it doesn't look "professional" lol, but hey, better than the plain old boring short cut. I am blessed with snow white hair (not grey) and I want a modern look to go with it!
Lesley Court: I’m 73 and saving this to take to my hairdresser. Young people need to understand when we are on the downside of our lives we don’t give a damn what young folks think. We just enjoy ourselves!
Patty Velia: I love this, I use to wear my hair like that when I was in my 40's, 20yrs later I would love it again
Rhonda Thacker: I absolutely love the cut I think I’m going to get the same thing done. Thanks for sharing ❤️
carole clare: Very stylish, modern and quick. What’s not to love. Go girl! ✂️
Susan Smith: I love this hair cut. She looks great. I’m showing this to my hairdresser!!!!!!
Ranita Smith: OMGosh... I LOVE this style!! Wish you weren't so far away... you're an AMAZING STYLIST. Been watching you for years. ❤
Carol Poole: This looks so darn cute. I wear my hair short and would love to get the nerve to do this cut.
Dona Linn: What younger people don't yet understand is we age on the outside but not on the inside. This lady obviously feels young, sassy and vibrant and the haircut reflects her inner self. I personally think she looks wonderful and full of spunk. I don't understand the negative comments because she looks pleased with the cut and isn't that what really counts?
Laura anne Hess: I do my own hair for years now and have learned a few tricks with this great video. Thank you!
Kathy Thackston: OMG...I’ve been looking for a EDGY cut for fine thin hair. This so ROCKS. I’m DEFINITELY doing this only thing I’d change PERSONALLY for my Personality is an ELEMENT of Shock with some BLACK underlying LONGER PLATINUM Bangs... You have made my Day. Forwarded to my Stylist already this morning
Valjean Macias: It is so cute and suits her to a tee! Super easy and I am going to try it soon. Thanks!
A.J. St. John: I'm 57 and I'm still rocking this haircut too. You go, my sister-friend from the 80's! Yep. Everybody mocking this woman will one day be 57 and sporting your pink hair from from 2020. Trust me on this. We don't age on the inside.
Jane Weaver: I love it!!!! It's a youthful look for we seniors.:) So wonderful for a summer cut.
Alice Wistrand: I have my fine thin hair super short also. I love it. Mine is a bit shorter in front and I let the nape stay natural instead of hard line. I get it lightened to white about twice a year and it looks good even while growing out. I let mine air dry with very little if no product. Love it in my senior years
Paulalina: Great video! My hairdresser gave me a pixie cut I love. At 64 and with essential tremors it's very easy for me to manage and I love the look. Nancy looks fabulous, like the two-tone color, too!
Sylvia Avila: Love it, everything about it looks awesome. When I go to a salon and I ask for a cut like this or a pixie cut, no one knows what it is. Not even when I present a picture. Great job and I wish you were my hairstylist. Have a awesome day.
Dawn Matthews: Hey, I'm 75 and I wear my hair spiked! Just because I'm old doesn't mean I have to look it!
Fran Giameo: I am 60 and I LOVE it!!! its pretty close to what I usually do but its definately what I want!
karola noble: I absolutely love this style! Great cut and it looks great on her!
Blue Waters: I was not sure about this ar first but I love it! I would go out and buy some awesome earrings. It is so cute on her and makes her look younger. My sister asked for a cut like this and the hairdresser talked her out of it. I kept arguing with the stylist trying to tell her my sister would not be happy with the longer old lady doo. I lost! Now my sister is going back..no charge for the cut she wanted in the first place.
Dianne Bedwell: I’m getting my done like this when I get back home. Love it.
Totalrecall 2022: I love it! I used to wear my hair short. Very cute❤️
Marsha Jenkins: Really cute and if she likes it, that’s all that matters. I wear mine very similar, mine is blonde on top and cherry black on the bottom cut into a V in the back....and I’m almost 68. We ain’t dead, yet! Lol. I get lots of compliments from young and old. Good for you, Mary.
Patricia Robinson: I can't believe how much younger it makes her look - I love it!
Tanya Walker: Question: What universe are SOME of you living in?? Her haircut/style is super cute!! Longer hair does NOT suit everyone! I LOVE short pixie styles!
Donna Bergman: GREAT haircut!! I LOVE it!! I have short hair and I'm going to have my stylist do mine like that!
hyltonla: Super cute! I’ve had really long hair for decades. I’d love to be brave enough for this cut.
Catherine Yamada: I love it! I’ve been wanting my hair cut like that.
Betty Houk: I am 83 so a wash and fluff hair style is just my style ! Blessing to all ,stay safe ,stay well . Be kind to each other ,we are all one Family , The Family of mankind !
Tricia J: I am 64 and have always wore my hair like that. I thought I would start to grow it out but after seeing this I am going short again. Love this cut. RaDona, what type of comb did you use on her hair ?
Susse Thrane: Looking great. Don't let anyone especially children dictate how short you can wear your hair.
Lois Snow: I love this cut!!! I’m 63 and get my hair cut short. The edgier the better! Rock in’ it!!!
Barbara Mowrey: I've been a hairdresser for 35 years and I love it! She looks thinner, more youthful and more in Society fashion. Of course I have Elizabeth Taylor's birthday and Elizabeth Taylor's taste and I watch and love Dynasty so there you go. I think this woman looks fabulous! I just wish I had the nerve but I don't yet. This woman would look older in my opinion with any longer style.
Leanne G: I love this pixie cut on her, she looks amazing!
Julia Smith-Hynes: Love, love, love it! I am 65 and am thinking of going shorter for the ease of care. I just don’t have time. I wash my hair once, sometimes twice a day since I am am active outdoors a lot and it’s summer. It is just so cool.
Diana Burazin: i like it! I have fine, thin hair also and short hair is much easier to get volume and lift! This is a cute easy hair style and looks really good on her!
Steve Nelson: I love it. This is the cut I want my girl to do for me.
Lazy Pajamas: Hey every client and stylist is different! There are a few things I’d go about differently, but different techniques aren’t necessarily bad. She got the look and style her client wanted with a lot of sassy texture, I really like how it turned out, so does her client that’s what really matters!
Bar Rez: Talent on loan from God! Amazing eye and technique. I was horrified at beginning thought massacre scalping disaster but it came out rockin perfect! Now show us YOUR CUT pleeease. Love THIS!
debbie pont: I love this clients new look. ! IT looks really good on her. NIce to see a different look opposed to the stereo type cuts for the ages. Pretty sassy lookin ! Love it
Mag Da: Love it! Would like to see what you could do with someone with thinner, finer hair.
Donna Davidson: I have this haircut, I’m 65 and I love it! I get compliments from young and old men saying I look sexy!
TheSuperHarrygeorge: 99% are positive and love it. I alternate with this type of close crop and a graduated wedge. I have it cropped now as did it myself until i can return to my regular haurdresser. This really suits this lady.
Laurie Estes: Love, love, love this cut on her. And now that things are opening up, I'm going to make an appointment for this cut.
Tami johnson: Love it going to do my own this way
Sheryl Miller: Can't believe the comments on this cut. It is darling, I might have gone for the 3 instead of the 4. There's nothing wrong with shaving around the bottom. Looks great!
Juanita Morris: I really love it. I'm 67 and have always had my hair short. I would totally let her cut my hair. Don't listen to all these negative comments.
labchic: I love it! I'm going to get mine cut like that!
Toni Reisinger: I am 47 and I just love it! I spent a lot of years not doing things because I listened to others! Let the haters hate and go for it!
Judy Smith: I love it, I wear my hair very short and I love the ease of doing it.
Lee BK: Since when did it become anyone else's business to tell someone that they shouldn't have a certain hair cut because of their age or shape? Age should NOT be a deterrent. As for the style...she loves it and good on her. Nothing worse than a bunch of haters bitching about something THEY don't like. YOU don't like it, YOU don't have to have it.
Spyder Quilt: I love this cut, and it's hard to achieve. I wish you could cut mine like that! Nice work.
AnnaMaria226 M: I’m in love with this cut I graduated school almost a year ago and I just went off to booth rent because I have a decent clientele. One of my favorite clients is coming today to get a haircut and lowlights and I think I’m gonna do something similar to this. You’re awesome love it On a side note I’m reading comments talking about bald spots because of the clippers. If you’re truly a stylist and a good one first and foremost you wouldn’t be so nasty about another stylist we’re supposed to bring each other up this isn’t an easy profession and secondly let’s remember this is an older lady and she likely colored her hair which means those spots you’re seeing could very well be a change in hair color :) education is key I don’t care how long you’ve been doing it #dontBeAnAsshole
bkzalley: Tried this cut, but found I am too thin on the top to sport it well. I'm still short, but now an icy blue. Still fun!
Nora S.: I just happened by. I love the way you cut hair. You're awesome! That pixie style on that woman looks so cute! (don't let the haters get you down!)
Yvonne Rousseau: so cute!! I have thin and fine hair too and will be saving this!!
Augustabelle Clancy: I took this to my stylist, she was nervous for me thinking I may not love it! But I did, in fact going back for another cut just like it. I am 66 and feminine.
Janet Myricks: I have to disagree with everyone. I’m 47, almost 48, with thin, fine hair & I would so rock this cut!!!
Amber Khechari Maria: So Cute, Quick and Easy! i absolutely LOVE it!!!! Great Job, RaDona! <3
Jennifer Holt: I absolutely love this hairstylist, so wish I could get her to do my hair, I cut my own, bnb I never let anyone touch my hair & yes, I dont cut perfect, but works for me, this stylist is one i would so love to give me a dew!! Such funk, fantastic styles!! Adore adore
Donna Console: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CUT AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR YEARS FOR SOMEONE TO CUT MINE LIKE THAT.....NO ONE SEEMS TO GET IT.....EVEN WITH PICS...GREAT JOB....SOOOO JEALOUS
Irma Cantú: Se ve preciosa!!! ...El cabello se hizo para divertirnos! Jugar con nuestra imagen las veces que nos de la gana! Fué un corte divertido que le dió mucha luz a Nancy! Grandioso!
Mary Ray: Wow!! This haircut is super cute !! Looks great on her !❤
Happiest Baby Happy Family: This looks awesome! Is there a video on how you highlighted her hair? Love that too! ♥️
Roxanne Harding: Love this haircut!! You did a super job
Manuela Failla: I am 48 and I am going to get my haircut spiky tomorrow. The haircut you did was beautiful. It looks really great and cool on your model.
Shirley Drake: I’m 68 years old with thinning hair. I love this cut!
Gail Gasper: News Flash: as some of us get older, our hair gets thinner, sometimes in spots. I cut my hair almost exactly like this (I'm 62), wouldn't wear it any other way. I also have little spots where the hair is thin. It's not the clippers, people. Thanks, RaDona, for showing me the right way to cut this style!
Pumpkin Spice: WOW!!!! That is absolutely gorgeous. I love it so much
Barbara Goldfuss: I love how this hair dresser did this womens pixie.Ive been cutting my own hair for almost 50 yrs ,as ive never gotten the hair cut i always used to ask for .Even if i brought in a picture of what i wanted. They always did the same old fashioned hair cut then sprayed alot of that sticky hair spray on me.One time i came home with what they called a Bee Hive with my hair straight up on top of my head.I do not mean spiked. It was as ugly as sin.The hair dresser did this on my wedding day of all times i came home an starting brushing it out and cutting it and it looked a lot better then what that hair dresser did. Where can i find a hair dresser that does beautiful pixies like this hair dresser??? Beautiful work!!!
Missy Caldwell: Love her hair! I have basically the same! I love Katy Perry’s hair on American Idol! I did the blonde on top as well! So easy and fun!
Brenda Thayn: Love this cut! She looks awesome!
Tammy Nelson: What size guard did you use on the clippers? Love this hairstyle.❤
Bonnie Trott: Love it. My hair is fine and thin. This would be perfect style for me
Laurin Collins: Love it! She looks amazing!
Deborah Kolusk: You look beautiful!! I thought with all the cutting you weren’t going to have any hair left but she did a excellent job
Pam: Love it! Similar to my cut!
Oni: I was shocked she wanted it shorter, but it looks really nice. Love the cut
Msha: Oh wow....Such a cute cut! I am 54 and wear my hair in a similar style.
