Trying On Wigs With My Mom ~ Paula Young & Jaclyn Smith Wigs - 6 Styles Long To Short

Thank you, hi. Everyone welcome to Beth's best hair. I am so glad that you guys can join me and I have a treat for you. I have a guest today. This is my mom Carolyn, say hi and Mom. Why don't you go ahead and tell them how old you are I'm 77 years old and um? My name is Carolyn, and, and so she decided that she is going to be a sport and we're going to try on some wigs today. What do you guys think it's gon na be fun, so I think it'll be fun. Okay for a 77 year old lady, you know what what I can't do much wrong now. So mama has her bio hair right now. This is my real hair and she likes to wear it in a little headband. Sometimes I bring it down like this myself, but you know you know, so it's just for fun. We'Re gon na try some wigs for her. I am wearing Bridget from Jaclyn Smith and this color is caramelized Brown rooted. So I want to go ahead and get my mom started with long hair. First, all right so for comparison with Bridget, I'm gon na have my mom put on Misha Misha is discontinued, but this color is 8 12 a pecan Delight. So I thought we could do a comparison with the caramelized Brown rooted, and so, if my mom's gon na step back in the frame here, so she put her hair back in a pony, bun and turn that way Mom. So this is like one of those Milano wig grip caps, so it covers your hair and then it you know which side to put that wig grip on all right. So then Mom when you put it on you're gon na hold it at the back and you're gon na die. So the headband is kind of gon na go right above your eyebrows and then pull this back all the way over your bun, so she's gon na go ahead and do that so now I go down like yeah, go down like that and then pull it all. The way back over your BUN and pull it all the way down to the nape of your neck, okay and then flip it back so you're. The caveman now pull it back kind of from the sides, lift it up and pull it back without pulling the wig grip back like lift it and pull it to your hairline. Okay, all right, so I'm just gon na help. My mom style up Misha here Mom. Do you want to be? Are you normally a left yeah? You are. I used to have a hairline just a little bit more okay. Okay, maybe don't just a little bit here! Oh look at you in the long hair. What do you think this is the way I used to be? This is like 1975 mom yeah. Maybe it is oh, my gosh. I love it. Oh there's a holler. I do pretty color okay, so we have caramelized Brown rooted and pecan Delight, so those colors are very similar. Aren'T they this one might be have a little bit more of a lighter, highlight you know and a darker root. What kind of let's do a little turn? Yep and not too fast, show them the back. You can flick your hair a little bit snack back, yeah, okay, okay and turn around when you think. Would you wear long hair? Probably not, but if I you know what, if we did like a um a little bit of an updo kind of thing where you like twist it up and that could be cute and then you had a few things coming down like for a special occasion. What do you think Mom? Oh, it's it's you know doable. It doesn't feel like me, but that's okay, all right, but I imagine if, for you, girls out there that are in their 60s or maybe even 70s, even you know you can dream, that's what it's like. I'M not as outgoing as Beth all right all right. So what should we do for the next one? Do we want to do? Auburn, hey, you guys want her to do red right now, all right, so I am wearing Misha and medium Auburn. That'S number 30 and my mom is in CC and CeCe is in the color, Capri, copper, and so that's one of the rooted Euro collections, but isn't this just adorable on her? I couldn't live with this one: you can, she can live with it, you guys she can live with things all right. Do you want to spin around and show them sure? Oh, that's cute, a little slower yeah. Oh look at that. Is that good, oh yeah? It'S so cute, oh my gosh, it's so cute! Is it cute? It'S really cute. Okay, try to like see if you can do it like kind of do it behind your ear. Once on one side, maybe like that yeah, oh look at that yeah see. I love that color on you, I'm glad you like this and then because there's a little bit of permatease Mom, you can kind of go like this and poof it up a little bit. If you want to you can kind of feel the permatease in there. I I really like the lob or the Bob yeah on you. I think that's a really cute style yeah. I know it is all right. She doesn't really want to do this, but you're being a good sport. I do all right so hold on. Let me see this side yeah. I mean, I think, that you could kind of decide how you wanted to so. Kate has a lot of these face framing layers, it's actually really cute. Once we tamed the Beast, I do actually like the layers now that I see it and it's a little more tame. So what do you think about this color and you could kind of do like behind your ear and a little bit forward. So this is the SF 1228 honey, so it's like a blonde and a little mini turn yeah, okay, so the side here so honestly, I mean cake - would be really cute. You could do her in a ponytail that'd, be cute kind of turn. This back to the mirror a little bit right there yeah, so that makes cute because the layers looks really cute. All right turn around okay yeah, but it's kind of face framing on the front so Mom. What do you think you can play with a little? Don'T be afraid, I'm not a little afraid of everything, but I guess I can handle this yeah for now. I would I don't know if I could wear this once it's combed down honestly, I mean it's really cute. I think like if you were doing a little fancy. If we had a wedding on like you, could do a little side deal. Look at how cute I mean that would be cute because because of the layers, I think Kate could be really cute for the updos, because then you have those face. Well, that's because then you have the face framing pieces right right I mean that is cute. I do like it gosh, it looks like your hair yeah, that's about your color. Well, isn't it maybe just a little bit lighter it's lighter than what it was give me. What I am do you want to try a pixie see super short. We can try. You want to start fixing, okay, all right so for pixie. If she's game we're gon na go for it. I don't know. I have Euro Casey and that's in 10 26 number six. So it's a Euro rooted, so that would be Tuscany. Toast pull it up to your hairline to your hairline yep, yep kind of lift it up and pull. Are you at your hairline back a little bit weren't? They okay now show them what it looks like out of the box and you can finger comb it. Oh, you actually look really cute in a pixie mom, that's cute, so she has a ponytail. So you can see her bump um. But that's okay. Is there yeah there's a little bit of permatease in here, so we can get some volume? No, I do have the tress Tech wig wax spray, and this works really good for the layered Styles. I mean that looks really natural other than the fact that she does have a little bit of a bump there from my ponytail rain. But that looks really natural and honestly, I see the bump, but I don't know that anybody else would notice it. I think it's cute. Okay, I'm like you, could totally pull off a pixie mom, it's fun, it's like who was the model back in the day Twiggy. I don't think so: maybe Twiggy have the Twiggy had the pixie, but what an easy shake and gold pixie so like for your age group mom. What do you think I mean that's pretty fun to just put it on and go. You were seeing some of the ladies that you live with, could stand to have a little better hair pieces. Oh yeah, they definitely could. Maybe I should come to visit and then I could do like a whole show. So before we switch to the Jaclyn Smith um, my mom is wearing Chantelle. I had forgotten about Chantelle, so she is in the color sf1026, which is buttered toast. So that's a little bit lighter and a little bit more of an ashtone and she's a modern shag with a lot of layers so for a reference I'm wearing Chris. This is from the Jaclyn Smith collection. I also feel like this is a shag and Chris is in the color caramelized Brown, so caramelized Brown is 8 27 and this is 10 26 for reference. So what do you think about that? One mom? It'S cute! Yes, people used to think that my mom looks like Maggie Horton from Days of Our Lives, because she had really thick kind of auburn brown hair. Remember we were at the Holiday Inn and some people came up to her in the hot tub and wanted her autograph. Oh, I don't remember. I'M gon na give you a little bit of a wig wax sorry Mom. I should have worn. I should have warned her. I didn't warn her. I got a mouthful, I'm sorry Mom, oh my God. It'S so pretty! Oh, it's! So pretty! Okay! Wow! This is pretty. Let me look, oh you look! So pretty I mean you do anyways always well. I don't, but I mean I mean so for reference, my mom is gorgeous in Sunset, so I feel like they're, both the same color we're at the 827, which is the caramelized Brown, but this is the straight version I feel like. Chris is the straight version of sunset, so Mom, I'm gon na get you the mirror, so you can look all the way around make sure we got it on the right way that way. Okay, so I can look down and then everybody can see. Oh look. How pretty that is, but that's a lot of hair, oh like so pretty yeah. I mean I feel like in the light. It almost looks like there's a little bit of an just a real deep, maybe brownish, Auburn tint beautiful, there's a pretty wet, I'm gon na say it's pretty. Oh, my gosh! That'S beautiful you're gon na give Jackson Smith a run for her money, Mama she's she's younger than me, no she's, not no, no okay! This is it. You guys are the same age. I love it.
