Styling My Hair In A Fake Pixie Cut ( No Scissors) Natural Hair Tutorial

What'S up, you guys welcome welcome back to my channel, so I've had it in these twists since last night and I'm just gon na take it down and then just kind of work with one side and then the other. What I'm doing with my hair lately um is because I lost a lot of hair, like my hair was a lot longer over the summer and then a lot of breakage happened. My hair is a lot shorter now and I don't like my hair short. So, in order to be able to comfortably wear my hair out, I'm going to really enhance the shrinkage, because what I don't like is the Short afro look. I don't like how it's like a medium like in between length, but I like when it looks like a pixie cut like if I cut my hair, you know so I'm gon na really detangle it and let it shrink and then I'm gon na tie it down. So it's flat and blow dry it and then show you, and this is purely experimental. So I don't really know how this is going to go. So, let's see so I'm going to take this piece here. If I could talk to you guys a little bit as well, I had box braids in for a month and it helped this section of my hair grow a lot because this was the part that broke off faster than all the rest. So I'm really grateful for that, but my hair just isn't the length that I want it to be at um. Just gon na do a quick length check. This is like generally what the bottom portion of my hair like where it stops. This side is a little bit longer, so maybe it'll be like here, but like generally, it's the collarbone and I need to get past collarbone lines. Products I'm going to be using today is curly. Camille Rose, curly, moisture butter and L'Oreal Paris gel. I bought it in Paris like last minute because I needed a gel and I really like it actually, so I'm gon na try to find it somewhere and order it, and I'm also going to be using Palmer's Olive Oil formula just for scalp health, a wild Growth Oil in the white bottle I'm going to start with the wild Growth Oil. I don't use much because it doesn't smell very good, so I'd rather not have my hair smell, like that. You know what I mean and then I go for the Palmer's oil. I got a scoop with this per section and do the exact same thing also applying it on the actual hair gon na be using my denim brush today as well. I also have this paddle brush, but I find that the denim helps me lose less hair, starting with the moisture butter I'm gon na. Take about that much, and this really just depends on your hair. My hair is, I don't know what you call it. I forget which, if it's low, porosity or high, but it doesn't take in moisture quickly enough, like products kind of tend to kind of tend to sit on my hair instead of like absorbing into it. So I have to use a lot more product, basically just gon na comb through the Section to detangle it and show you guys how curly Camille Rose gets it, which I love. Camille Rose products they're just really expensive. Like look at that curl definition. Can someone tell me what hair type that is also because I have no idea - and I know that there is a bit of damage like you can see. My hair is a little bit heat damaged, but, like my curls are still there and I don't know what curl type I am, I've always wondered that gel sorry. My throat hurts that's why I sound like this. I always sound like this, but like even more so even more so I mean apply the gel and comb through it again. I love the Denman brush so much now. My hair is nice and detangled down here. We'Re gon na move on to another section. I'M just gon na grab really like it. It'S gon na be extremely random start that, and I'm gon na do the exact same thing to this I'll get back on camera. When I have this half of my head completely detangled and defined. So this is half of my head finished um. This is kind of sort of how I want it to look. Of course, there's going to be way more tweaks to it once I'm done with everything, but look at how short that looks like I cut it, and when I tie it down, it's going to be even flatter even more compressed to really give that illusion that my Hair is in a really short kind of really cute pixie cut, so I'm gon na do the other side. Now I'm going to take sections that I want to be flat like here and put edge control going all the way down. This is where the experimental part comes in, where I don't know how it's gon na turn out, so the edge control and then brush your hair down and sweep it to the back. A little bit like like that bring some baby ears in the front. Now, hmm, how do we do the rest of this now? We'Re gon na take this layer from the front in the sides and brush that going this way across. So I'm just gon na put some edge control on it. On my face, try not to get edge control on your face, smooth it out a brush and brush it to this side, so that there's a some continuity. Basically like that, and then take this section up here next and and a gel gel and Slick it down. Take gel apply it really flat, really really flat. It'S gon na take a while as well, especially if your hair is thicker than mine. It'S not going to be a simple task. I should have brought some bobby pins in here, but I'm gon na do the other side and show you guys. I just want to finish this side, so you guys see what I'm trying to do. This is what it's looking like now, I'm just applying more gel to make it more flat and look back before we put our head tie on then holding it kinda. I'Ve also went ahead and done my baby hairs a little bit and my adult hairs, because you need both for what I'm trying to do. I'M just gon na grab my so this is what it looks like in the durag really flat and everything. I think it could still be flatter, but I don't think I can tie this drag any tighter than it's already tied. So now I'm gon na get the blow dryer and like apply heat and like press down and like really reinforce what I've done here, because what I don't want to happen is for it to puff up throughout the day, so that would suck right right. Hey guys, I'm gon na take this off in about 10 minutes and I'll show you guys the result for the big reveal, I'm so nervous guys. I'Ve never done anything to my hair like this before and I hope it holds up. That'S like my most, like my my biggest hope, is that it holds up throughout the day and I can just keep re-tying it every night. But let's see oh, that is so cute. That'S exactly how I wanted it to look like a pixie cut, and it also has a little bit of a different vibe as well like not fully pixie. I don't care what any of you say. I don't care what any of you think unless it's like a positive thing, this looks so good and it's gon na be my new hair routine. Until my hair grows out longer, then I can go back to the big afros, but this is such a cute hairstyle. Oh, my God anyways. This is the end of the video I'm done gushing over my hair.
