Hey friends, welcome back to my channel today is a follow up and update after a video I posted called. I hate my pixie cut, my pixie cut experience I'll, have it linked in the cards above. I posted it about two months ago when I first got my pixie cut and, as you can see in the video, I was shocked and not feeling very confident. So I wanted to provide a little bit of an update, also because a ton of people in the comments are asking about, if I'm keeping it what I'm thinking now. So I wanted to provide this video as a little bit of an update if you're new to my channel welcome. My name is ava and I make videos about my pixie haircut: cruelty, free beauty and lifestyle fashion and capsule wardrobes, along with some vlogs. So if that interests you, I would really appreciate it if you hit subscribe down below so that video was posted the end of August and it's now about mid-november. So since then, I have experienced a lot with my pixie hair, so I wanted to give you a little update on how things are going, one of the biggest things that I've learned since that video is that the reason I was so upset and confused and overwhelmed Is the fact that I didn't know why I didn't like the haircut I? It was pretty much what I asked for like the photos. I showed her. I got that and it's not like I hated it. I was just first of all, I was just totally shocked. You can't really mentally prepare yourself for that, but also I learned that I just didn't know what I didn't like about it like. If I could change it and still have a pixie, I didn't know what I would change, but over time I've learned that what was bothering me the most was the fact that it was a true side, bang and I'll insert some photos, as I'm talking to give You some perspective perspective, but yeah. It was basically a true side. Bang and I didn't like that. So as the hair grew not only did I get more confident and you know just learned to accept it. I also was liking. The fact that the pieces in the top were longer so my hair um has like these longer pieces in the kind of the top section like the crown of my head. And then the sides are a little bit shorter and, as the sides grew out, as the top grew out, I just loved it a lot more and that's what I learned is. That is the cut that I wanted. That'S what I from the beginning, I just didn't. Verbalize it well enough in my first appointment. So since then, I've had the back of my hair trimmed twice and then just this week I went in and got another full cut. She just trimmed it. When I was explaining what I wanted, I said you know I like this. I like this. I like this and she goes so. Do you want to cut your hair today or not, but I basically just felt like it was just a little bit too heavy and I just wanted it thinned out and reshaped a bit and now I'm so happy with it. I love the fact that I can smooth down the sides and it's not buzzed, it's just trimmed so on either side. It'S the same way and I like that, the front piece. This is like the shortest piece I have right here or so so I can't really fully tuck it behind my ear if I wanted to, but it still lays down nicely if you can see that if you want to hear more details on things, I've learned since Getting the pixie and like the pros and cons of it, I have a video called pixie hair pros and cons I'll link into the cards below above and the description down below for you to check out if you're interested in that and the biggest question that people Have for me is, am i keeping the pixie or am i growing it out? If you asked me when I first got my pixie, it would be I'm growing it out, but as I've gotten more confident with it, and I like it more with this specific style. I decided that I'm going to keep it and I was unsure exactly for how long it was gon na be just a few months and then I'd start growing it out. The issue is that, from what I've heard, the growing out stage is really awkward. You'Re gon na have a couple months where you just have a weird cut and especially as the back grows out, it's just gon na be a little funky. So about a month after getting my pixie cut, I found out that my sister got engaged, which is so exciting and my other sister and I are Co maids of honors maids, of on maids of honor maids of honors. I don't know, but we're obviously going to be in the bridal party, and that is going to be about a year from now or so. So I decided to keep my pixie until at least the wedding, because if I go through an awkward grow out stage and then have it in the photos, I'm just gon na be disappointed. So I decided to keep it until at least that point and then after that I'll make a decision if I'm still loving it I'll, keep it. If I decide to grow it out and I'll grow it out, but so for at least a year, I'm gon na have this haircut or something similar. I might diet, I'm still toying with that idea, but we'll see I found that these videos about my pixie hair have really resonated with you all. So if it's something you'd like to see more of, let me know in the comments down below, because I'll have at least a year of this cut. So I can make more videos about this. If you would like, I would think I'm gon na make a video about the products that I use, like my favorite products, that I've found that are all cruelty, free, so yeah. Let me know if you made it to the end of this video. Thank you. So much and if you enjoyed it, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe down below if you're new other than that. I think that's it for me for today. So I hope you have an awesome day and I'll see you in my next video bye.

Makayla Herrera: I appreciate this video so much! I just got a pixie a week ago and I hate it! You put into words exactly what I am feeling right now! I didn’t know why I hate it, and this is exactly why! You’re the best.

Sarah Catherine: I know exactly what you mean. I've had short hair cuts before that I didn't like and it was hard to figure out why. Its like that with new styles. I think this grown pixie u have now looks gorgeous!

jemima rose: I LOVE your pixie cut. It looks so amazing on you.

Jennifer Moore: I've had a pixie since April 2017. I got Scarlett Johnson's pixie. I like it but I really miss my long hair. Since June I have been letting it grow. So far no hair cuts and my hair looks good. The back really hasn't grown as fast as I thought but the top and sides have! My hair looks almost like a bob which is amazing. I still might get the dreaded mullet who knows lol

becky quick: I love this length on you, you look fabulous. Take pics of new cut, front side, back to show them what you want . I love my hair short, but each time I grow back out and cut , I feel bad all over again til I get use to it again. Then I wondered why I didn't do sooner. All the growing out I just looked bad for 6 months!! I prefer it this length on you myself. Do what makes you happy.

Petya Yaneva: you look just perfect, in my opinion you shouldn't dye it another color, currently I can't stop watching your hair it's just perfect from all angles! glad you learned to like it, it suits you so well! I wish I could have a pixie myself, but several factors show me it wouldn't probably be a wise idea in my case.

: I'm sorry you hated your pixie at first! I think it's very dependent on your own style, etc. for example, my first pixie was quite long on top (sort of like yours is now). I wanted it shorter on top, but it's a lot easier to take length off than to add it after the fact I was a little annoyed that my hair dresser didn't give me that cut right off the bat (I actually switched hairdressers right away, because I was annoyed he didn't listen to me). But, seeing this video, I can understand why my first hairdresser was concerned about making the plunge. I've realized I'm a little more daring than most, lol.

Hailey: Omg it looks so cute on youuuu. I’ve been growing mine out for about 8-9 months after having it for a year. Just miss my long hair and don’t want to keep up with the maintenance of pricey haircuts. Yours makes me want to cut it all off again though

Ray Laventure: Awkward growing out stage is totally true... for about a month I had a borderline mullet. It was... an experience. Good luck.

Alyssah Latshaw: Growing out my pixie was so awkward! I’m glad you love yours now!

catherine lamarre: I think you really suit it sweetie , i got mine about 2 mths ago after wanting it for about 2 yrs i love it its so easy ❤️

ren gon: Yes girl! I’d like to see more pixie videos and different ways you style it. I just got a pixie and trying to learn how to style it.

Andrew Chavez: Im glad you kept it looks soo good on you.

Renee Walton: I like this! Make more and let us know how you are still liking your cut.

Potato Top hat: I got a pixie cut yesterday, I hope I feel the same soon because I’m not extremely confident with my hair

Dorothy Noxell: I love it. It looks so nice on you. Very feminine. You’re gorgeous

Teresa Michele: It looks very nice on you :)

Shaniafan1: Part of my hair is weird right now, I try the side flip and the little part on the right of my head sticks up it takes so much spray to get it to stay down. I use davroe which is vegan

Louise 0474: I agree it looks far more voluminous now looks lovely x

George Harrison Fricklas: lol the same thing happened to me!!! my first pixie i was shocked and i absolutely hated it, but after a couple more cuts, i couldn't be happier

Michi luvs 🌹: Love the pixie cut and keep making videos

Star’s Explore.org Clips: My pixie was a work in progress. I’ve been growing it out for two years almost. Honestly, I’m going to chop it off again soon haha. I think I have my likes and dislikes down now.

MeeshyContent: You look so great with a pixie!! I hope you start to like it, it really suits you. I have had my hair short for more than five years and I absolutely love it. If you are going to keep it short you should totally play around with different styles since you still have some length on top. Experimenting with different styles has definitely made my pixie experience way more exciting!

Jazz: I like these videos about ur pixie, I feel like I'm getting more prepared to have my haircut and I'm less nervous, can u do others about this topic?

adrien !!!!: i have had my pixie cut for 6 months and i’m growing it out now. 1 people find it hard to know my gender with my fashion sense is very tomboyish and it’s hard to control

Holz 1287: I was forced into a pixie, horrible mishap at the hairdresser. The majority of my layers for my short bob were cut 2 inches from my scalp. I had to go back to another hairdresser the next day to have my hair fixed. The pixie was better than what I left with the first day, I cried for hours straight with that one. But my confidence was definitely shot when it got chopped off. The hairdresser kept telling me I was lucky I had the face for the cut, I didn't feel that. It's been about 2 months, I've had it trimmed up and evened out, since my hair was extremely butchered and to not go too short with the first fixing it had to be grown out to then be cut short again. It's been a heck of a go. But it's finally growing on me, some days better than others. I plan on growing it out to around your length of I do keep it a pixie. Your cut very much fits your face, very pretty.

zyanya inigo: awwwww you look great! so pretty!!! love you!!!

Arlene Reinhart Johnson: Love your hair in this video.

M. Smith: It looks really good.

lulu: I have a similar cut but I’m growing it out,, it’s the best kind of short hair

Carla: I got a pixie too n I super hate it :( I can't wait till it grows out.

Joe White: I think it really suits you

Indigo: I'm glad I stumbled across this video. I got a pixie cut yesterday and I don't like it. I'm not sure if its because I'm not used to it or I don't like the cut? I'm currently just wearing hats... I'll give my hair a week or two and see how I feel. Thank you!

Dee Ca.: You look great! I'm going to get a pixie next week mostly because of the weather. No heating in my house and washing/drying my hair is not a pleasant experience since it's so cold. I'm overweight so I feel like really short hair like that will make me look even more overweight but i'm not doing it solely for looks so wish me luck. I also think hair tends to look awkward for a couple of weeks no matter what cut, then suddenly it's like "hey this haircut looks good now lol".

Ava Elizabeth: What Pixie-related videos do you want to see?? Comment below :)

Richard Stadler: Undercut would be awesome on you too, especially with that thick hair.

blue28119: You look great with short hair

Angie: I like your cut!

Jennifer: I want a pixie growing out series . if you decide in a year time to grow it out.

Delores Emeagi: Yeah this looks much better than the first video

Nellie R: What is your hair type? Is your hair thin or thick? Your video is the perfect reference to show my hair stylist, but I need to know if this hair style will work with my hair. My hair is very thick.

elsa Grace: Yeah, this looks better.

dhamodharan s: U look so cute in hair style

Mighty Kasey: Like it... needs more texture...

Kristine Jackson: You're going on & on about horrible how you felt about your pixie. Get over it! It was just a hair cut & quite frankly it looked better with the pixie.
