Hey friends, welcome back to my channel today I am doing something extremely exciting, which you can probably tell from the title, but I am doing something I've wanted to do for over 10 years now it's been a long time getting that's my toast, I'm getting a pixie Cut, it's not a true pixie cut, not like super short, not like Emma Watson, style but you'll, see, and I just wanted to do this for so long. I used to have long hair all my life. Actually, when I was a kid I had a bob but most of my teenage in adult years I had really long hair and then I went through a breakup about two years ago before I, the breakup before I started dating chance and I just decided to cut My hair off so I cut my hair like up to my chin or so, and that was so liberating after that I was like. I am never going back to long hair. I just love short hair. I like how it looks on me. I, like the management of it and then I just kind of just maintained this, and this is the longest it's been in two years and I just hate it right now. I just think it. I don't know I'm gon na be kind to myself, but I don't like the length of it right now. I would have wanted to just to get a bottom and the less but I'd sated. What are you waiting for? Ava just get that style that you've always wanted and you're just putting off like. I always thought I would get it when I'm after I'm married or what I'm a mom. But what's the risk like if I hate it, then it takes me six months to grow grow out to a normal bobbly that I know I like so okay, six months of not really loving, my hair whatever and I've just learned over the last couple years that Women put way too much pressure on themselves and their beauty. Christian people way too much pressure on themselves when it comes to their hair like so many women will never have short. Hair would just find if that's truly what you love, but I feel like a lot of women say I love your hair, but I could never have it that short girl. Yes, you can. If you go to a good stylist, they with your face shape. No matter. Your face shape your weight, your hair color, your eye, color, like you, can find a short hairstyle or a different hairstyle that works for you. Don'T let it hold you back and that's just kind of what I've learned. So I've kind of tried to challenge myself in getting different hair styles and if I hate it, okay, I could either change it cut it shorter, get extensions, color it or just live with it, and that's just kind of what I've learned over the last couple years. So I decided you know what I'm just gon na. Do this pixie and we'll see what it looks like so yeah. This is what my hair looks like right. Now, it's just a grown out Bob and I really I was really getting annoyed by it. I liked having it this long in the summer, though, because I could put it up in a ponytail with the hot weather, but now that it's mid August and it's gon na start cooling down in about a month or so. I figured that I would just do it do my pixie now, so the person who inspired me to do a pixie to begin with is this girl on Instagram? Her name is Sarah Lou who's I'll leave it and text right here, so you can follow her. Her hair is just so fun, so this is what our Instagram looks like. Is that focusing I'm not sure because, again, um and I'll show you she does like Instagram video tutorials for short hair, which has really been helping me and she's just so fierce? I love her like look at her uh, so beautiful, but her hair is obviously has blonde at the top. So a mine is going to look different eventually, I might want to dye my hair. I don't know, never dyed it, but like she is such a badass. Like she just looks so cool, so I'm hoping I look as good as she does one tip I have for when you're getting a different hairstyle that you're a little bit nervous about or unsure about. I would recommend actually doing your makeup not like you need makeup to feel beautiful or be beautiful, but for me I feel more fierce with makeup like I still feel beautiful without it, but I feel like more sassy and that's kind of what I'm going for with This Bob, so I'm hoping that if I have my makeup in a way that I'm confident in I'll feel more confident with the pixi, do you know I'm saying I don't know if that makes sense, but that's just what I do. Okay, I'm here I'm a little bit early, so I'm just gon na go in and wait there, I'm probably not gon na, do any filming in there, but I'll take photos. So wish me luck. So if it already is an obvious today is a different day. I stopped vlogging yesterday after my haircut um, because I had a lot of emotions and I just did not want to take out my camera. I so here's the pixie. Oh, please ignore the stormtroopers in the back. You know this is a place that has the best lighting and whatever so yeah. This is it if it's styled this way right now, but I could basically make the same style on either side like this part, like the crown of my head. Moving forward is longer and then the sides are buzzed. These pieces are just kind of longer laying on the top of it and yeah. So I got my hair cut during my lunch break and then I went back to the office, so I had to kind of just hurry back to the office and I didn't take out the camera. I my first reaction when she was blow-drying. My hair, okay, actually lets support my doctor out, I'm totally all over the place. When I first got there, she was so excited to cut my hair like this. She actually has had a pixie before she had completely shaved side she's since grown out to about a lob ish, and she was so excited to do my hair. So I was very happy about that and she was very confident about what exactly she wanted to do. I showed her the pictures she just went for it, which was awesome and her confidence made me feel better. So, first, she dry buzzed the bottom, like with my hair dry and longer, like I showed you earlier, she just kind of shaved. The bottom parts um that I already knew I wanted buzz, but just actually so much hair, which was very liberating because, whenever I put my hair up in a half ponytail with my long bob that bottom part always bothered me. I was like I was buzzed it right off, so it was satisfying to have that done and that was really nice and then we shampooed it and then she with my wet hair, she cut most of it and then she said: okay, now that it's pretty much Where I want it to be um, but I'm gon na dry it and then dry cut it some more to see what it looks like after it's dry, which made sense, but as she was going from wet to dry, I had a minor freak out cuz. I saw myself in a mirror far away and I was like, oh god, I hate it. I hate it in that moment. My heartbeat started beating so fast and I was just oh my I was very, very nervous and then she, but then she continued to cut it more after it was dry and then once she finished I'll insert some photos. I had right when I got out of the haircut and right when she finished. I did like it and my hairstylist loved it and I really did at first and then I went to the office, and I was just in total shock like adrenaline was pumping through my body. It was a very weird feeling I was just. I think I just was in total shock. It was most of the Pixies I looked at were people who had dirty blonde hair or highlights so I knew it looked different with my kind of one tone hair, but I don't know I just still really really shocked me. I don't know how to explain it. I just did not feel confident instantly, which is rare for me, because every other haircut, I've gotten I've had long. I'Ve had super short bob, a little bit of a longer bob like I've had all and for as long as I can remember. As soon as I got a haircut, I feel more confident instantly, and this is the first time that hadn't happened, which is why I wanted the pixi to, though, like the reason I got the pixi, I think I explained in my clips from yesterday is I wanted To challenge myself and I knew that it came with a risk of not liking the haircut. But my I wanted to be confident enough with myself that my beauty and my confidence and my self-esteem was not linked to a haircut and that's what I got. The universe sent me that the I I clearly AM supposed to learn a lesson from this and a day has passed and I feel very, not very different, but I feel a little bit better today, but last night I was on the phone or FaceTime, with my Sister and I started crying just because I it was just not what I expected. The haircut itself is very close to the images I gave her. I realize now that I wanted these pieces to be longer like I didn't want a true side. Bang, like I didn't, want a true side. Bang I wanted the pieces to be maybe more down to here, but that won't take that long to grow out that can grow out in like six weeks six to eight weeks. Maybe so it's not a big deal and it's pretty it's very close to what I asked for, and it is versatile, which is what I wanted I'll be able to part it either side sweep it back like slick it back, do a lot of different things. So that's cool, like that's the cut itself. She did a great job like this. Is a very nice cut, she's, clearly very skillful. It'S not that at all. It'S just my self-confidence from within and even when everybody was telling me wow, it's so nice. I love it like you totally have the face for it. You look great like wow, it looks great it just kind of went in one ear and out the other, and I was just sitting there like, but I don't like it, which is important. Like you shouldn't base your worth on what other people say, even when I'm them, it was just a lot and it was just a lot and I went to bed feeling sad just because I let I let my haircut break my confidence and it kind of still Is the day after, but that just shows that I have work to do and I think we would all feel this way. I think it's natural, it's just not what I had expected like last night. I had it slicked. I don't want to do that right now, but I had it slicked on both sides, kind of - and I did like that - and it feels incredibly not having hair back here is incredible and I'm also the type of person that plays with their hair a lot like When it was even my shoulders, even when I was a bob, I twirled my hair played with my hair and it just. I want to break that habit and I have not felt that urge to play with my hair the last 24 hours, even though I've been stressed. Clearly, I haven't had that urge which is really cool it. Just it feels like you, have a ponytail in without having the actual ponytail kind of tugging at your head and kind of achy in a little bit at the end of the day, so it feels freeing. I love the feel of this hair. It'S just gon na. Take me time to get used to the look of it. I'Ve also considered dyeing it now, I'm looking at myself in the viewfinder constantly sorry um, because I have a little bit of lighter brown pieces in here, but I've thought about dyeing it differently. Um. I don't know if I'm just gon na, let myself relax for a few days and then I'll figure it out and again it's just a haircut and that's what I wanted to teach myself is that my beauty, my self-worth, does not is not tied to a hairstyle. Like I'm going to have hairstyles, I don't like in my life, it's just shocking, because it's a pixie and it's such a statement like when I see a stranger, even not even someone, I know, and they see a stranger they're like wow, that girl has a pixie Like that's different, and I want to feel confident in that moment versus, like you - have a long hair style that you don't like we've all had. You know layers that we don't like whatever that's not as noticeable to strangers, but again don't want my self worth and self confidence. That'S a motorcycle to be associated with a hairstyle, because I have a lot more to give. I have a lot more about me than just my appearance and I like a lot more about myself, like I like my face, like you know, my smile and it's those are what's more important to me than just hair and that's what I'm gon na focus on And the good thing about pixie is: it certainly show us off your face more like there is no hiding it and yeah it's just it's just different, and I hope this video isn't sparing people from getting a shorter haircut or pixie, because I have done very short. Bobs and I've loved them - and I think it's very, very, very important to go to a good stylist like it's worth paying the extra. I am a big proponent of cutting your hair short, like I've said before I loved having a bob. I thought it was so different and unique and made me feel really confident it suited me very well. So if there's a hair cell they've always wanted to do, please don't let this carry you. I'M just sharing my reaction in real time so that, hopefully others don't feel alone, because I feel like this reaction is not uncommon. I watched so many videos on pixie cuts and everything like that before and everyone seems to have a positive reaction, but maybe that's just because people don't admit when they're hesitant about it. It'S not that I hate it, but I don't love it yet. Thank you. So much for watching and listening to my rambling, if you have any experiences similar to me, leave it down in the comment down below reach out to me. I'D love to hear other people's experiences because I feel like this is not uncommon and at least I hope it's not I'll report back to you soon and until next time. I hope you have an awesome day. I'Ll see you later

Ava Elizabeth: AM I KEEPING OR GROWING OUT MY PIXIE?? UPDATE VIDEO -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UArJgX7xOck

Maggie Ann: Girl after i got out of the salon i started crying really hard and saying i hate it so much. Then an hour later i was like wait i love it lmao

Claire Germain Nail: Speaking as a hairdresser's daughter here. She tested a lot of things out on me and sometimes it often affected my confidence until I figured out how to style myself. Once she even fried my hair with a bad perm. Nightmare. You look French with the Pixie--French, chic, and adorable. Suggest you wear a little more dramatic eye eyeliner now that your hair is short, because your eyes are really amazing. Think gamine. Bold eyeliner or lipstick can be a good move with short, dark hair (a la Audrey Hepburn). I can imagine you in a black leather (or pleather if that's your preference) jacket with a scarf and cigarette pants. Go for the panache, and bold accents.

Bailey Wenger Herrera: Hey, Ava! I have been watching TONS of pixie cut videos, because I am planning to cut my hair into a pixie in a couple of months. Your video is the first one that helped me visualize the shock of sitting in that stylist chair and doubting the decision to cut all my hair off. Even while I know this is something I want to do, I'm sure it will still be scary. Thanks for walking us through your experience with honesty!

Lil Zuplada: To be honest, it looks really good on you than your old hairdo. And I think very few women can pull off a pixie haircut. I'm being honest here.

Barbara Amelia: You are a wise woman. And, although my opinion doesn't (and shouldn't) matter, I just want to say that you are simply gorgeous.

Devlin Biezus: You look so adorable, it highlights your eyes! I hope you get used to it, and start loving every second of this new hairstyle.

Vivi_larue: I HATED my pixie for the first two weeks. Then I loved it and kept it in various pixies for 7 years.

Cori Skeen: Oh wow, I know you weren't crazy about your hair at first but I literally gasped when you showed your pixie cut. You looking absolutely gorgeous with this hair!

haarminnaar TV: Just like you did in the video, I always stress how important it is to find a really good stylist, especially when you go short like you did. And I think that's exactly what you should do as well. I can imagine it's a scary idea to have even more hair cut off, but what you need is a better shape and professional styling advice. You'll feel so much better!!

Ash: Just give the cut a week, it really does look good on you!

Christen Cagle-Brown: Ok, so I know this an old video, but THANK YOU for posting this. I literally just got out of a haircut for my first pixie and I hate it. She didn't listen or follow the pictures so it ended up so much shorter than I wanted. Anyways I needed to hear someone else rant about a similar situation and to be reminded that my hair does not define me. Hopefully I'll soon figure out how to be fierce with this new do. Thanks again.

Jennifer Janzen: FYI for anyone considering a pixie: I think having the undercut on both sides is risky for first time pixie getters. I would not recommend it unless you are VERY sure. I got the undercut on both sides without knowing and I HATED it. But with one side longer (with no undercut) and one side short your pixie will feel and look much softer and fuller and feminine.

Paula Kelly: I love this haircut on you! It really suits you. I love it more than the longer bob you had before. Your face deserves to be looked at. I hope you will love your new look eventually, because it’s gorgeous!

Maria Gatchalian: Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your real-time, honest reaction! I thought I was the only one going through this. Honestly, every time I've gotten a pixie (this is my second. Went true pixie this time) I've loved it the moment after styling but felt the exact same way you did for another 2 weeks - a month. It eventually grows on me. I didn't notice this trend until I watched your video and it made me feel so relieved. I resonate with everything you said. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Brittany Kathleen: You just have to work it. Like, WORK it. Don't try to make it perfect or a shape that you think it should be. You will just get all in your head and go mental with it. Just enjoy the fact that you're gorgeous, brave and different with the length it's at now. Sometimes, when you're at this stage, buzzing it all off can be liberating and cleansing. Then, you can learn to understand that you don't need hair AT ALL to be beautiful. YOu break free from "standard hair beauty chains". AND THEN you can go on the journey of growing it out, experimenting with different cuts/styles as it grows. And if you continue to grow it out, you will appreciate your hair so much more.

Margot Massey: Omg I got my hair cut the same exact way and had the same feelings! I didn't completely hate my hair but after I got it cut I literally wanted to hide. It totally gets better tho!!! I feel way more confident and I've had problems holding on to things so getting my hair cut was rlly hard but I love it. You obviously rock the pixie and trust me you will be rlly confident and happy:)

Yasmin: Thank you for this video! I really really wanted a pixie cut, so for my birthday I finally got it done (that was yesterday) and immediately after it I didn’t hate it, but I was definitely unsure about it. Now, a day later, I’m here crying feeling really ugly. Right now, I really regret it and I just want my bob back. Hopefully, with time, I’ll feel better about it. Thank you for your words! They made me feel better ❤️ Also, I know this video was filmed years ago, but for the record, you looked nice! You have a beautiful face and gorgeous eyes!

Grace: I think it's great that you have this "pre" video -- it's basically a pep talk to your current self! As your big sister, it pains me to see you upset about anything, but this will make you even stronger :-) I can't wait to see this gorgeous pixie in real life. Big kisses.

Jert-Rutha Crawford: Thank you SOOOOO much for posting your viewpoint. Your honesty is just what I needed to hear right now. I got a Pixie because my hair was damaged after leaving it braided for too long. I had no choice, because I LOVE my hair and I wanted it to grow healthy. The style was pretty when my hair stylist finished but the next day was awful, not to mention the day before my birthday. I wanted to look good with a fresh new hairstyle for a new year. I was feeling really bad about my hair. After watching your video, it inspired me to get over myself and realized that I'm more than my hair. I will continue to let the style grow on me and embrace it. Thanks again for posting!!!

April F: I like the pixie better. Looks more stylish and cool for sure

Kerensa McElrath: I got a pixie cut today after growing out my pixie cut from high school, and I was surprised by how insecure and anxious I've been feeling about it! I experienced similar anxiety with my first pixie five years ago, but I wasnt expecting to have it happen again! I think part of the problem is that I was impatient and went to a cheaper salon instead of waiting, and the stylist didnt really execute what I wanted -_- but it's nice to be reminded how common it is to experience this shock after getting a drastic haircut! I keep telling myself it's just hair and I can cut it again differently or grow it out longer, but its tricky. anyway I do think you look lovely! (although I know this is an old video)

Sulma Morales: I can completely relate with this video! I remember feeling super excited/nervous to get a pixie only to feel insecure immediately afterwards. I’ve had my cut for about 5 months now and have honestly come to love it and love myself even more than before. You look amazing and I hope you eventually love it too. :)

Rachel Padilla: Ok... The Mother in me has to say something. Sweetie, in life you don't just get confidence. Not from a haircut,or a outfit, or a silly feeling. You gain confidence. As you grow as a person you will come to see that. ☺️

janysa: I'm growing my pixie cut, and it honestly made me so depressed. I got compliments, but I just hated it, and still hate it . Sometimes we care more than other care, because we don't think we look good in it . I still get super nervous around people because I think I look ugly in it, I almost had waist-long hair but went through sort of like a depression state, and ruined my hair . Now i'm awaiting the growth . My mom inspired me, and told me how beautiful it looks on me, and the only one whos outlook on you matters is, Jesus's . It looks super great on you, but I totally feel you on this . Give it a few months, they'll go by fast, and sooner or later you'll get up to your shoulders!

Camille Gifford: You look amazing with this pixie cut. I know this was 3 years ago but this was am amazing look for you. It’s so much cuter than the previous cut. I went from long hair all the way down my back to a pixie. I love it. Screw what anyone else thinks. Pixies teach you lots about yourself……. Valuable lessons.

Yellow Jumper: same thing happened to me yesterday. i had long curly hair all the way down to my tailbone, and she cut it like a bob/ pixie hybrid. people keep telling me i look incredible, but i don't like it. i had an hour of confidence yesterday, and i keep trying to tell myself i look beautiful, but?

fresh blush: i’m watching this in 2020, i got my hair cut into a pixie cut just last week, and i feel EXACTLY like you do. i know there was a high chance of not liking it, but i really did want to challenge myself. it’s like the pictures, but it’s nothing like i expected, and i instantly miss my old hair. i don’t feel confident, and now i’m taking perfectil hair vitamins to try help the growing process as fast as i can. but this video helped knowing that other people have went through this experiencing or are going through it now :)

Leslie Jimenez: Looks so good. I recently got a pixie cut but she didn’t cut it how I wanted. She went with a whole different style.

Alex Templeton: I honestly love it. I use to have really long thick hair and my hair was my security blanket. but then in 2020 my hair started falling out. I lost about 60% if my thickness so now my hair is very thin but everything that fell out is now growing back. But losing my hair definitely made me realise that its just hair. It grows back and life goes on. Im debating getting a pixie so that I can get my thickness back quicker then let everything grow out together.

Yulia Kislova: Hi Ava! I just wanted to thank you for sharing your “hair story”! I had long hair (40—50 cm) for 6 years, and your video has helped me to make the ultimate decision to have them cut! I am soooo happy! My hair is so much lighter and prettier now... Why did I put it off for so long? Anyway, thank you again ☺️

naciemew: I also had a moment as my hair was drying where I thought “what have I done?” And that’s on my second pixie cut after looking at pics of my previous cut and telling myself how good I looked. The first few days I think are the hardest because not only are you adjusting but you can’t avoid getting comments from everyone you know. I wish I could just go on a self love retreat for a week or something before revealing my new style lol

Valerie O: I just turned 60, and I have been wanting to cut my hair short for a long time. I haven’t had short hair since I was 9. I have very thick naturally curly hair, that I’ve straighten through out the last 15 years. …I finally did it last week, and it’s so easy, and I love it!! I love yours too. People really could care less what we do with our hair, do it for yourself.

Kelly R.: Your honesty about your experience and why you got the pixie cut was really encouraging. It’s really different from a lot of the videos I’ve watched about getting a pixie cut and that too was really reassuring! It reminded me that my self worth isn’t and shouldn’t be associated w/ a hair cut or style. Thank you for making this vid!!

2225ram: Oh my gosh I LOVE this cut on you! And your video has given me more confidence to go through with cutting my hair. Thank you!! ☺️

Jenna LaPointe: I’ve been wanting to do a pixie cut, but this video makes me SO nervous! I love how you explained wanting to feel confident and beautiful regardless of what your hair style might be.. I also want to feel that way! But it’s still such a big step and a shock for sure.

Kayly: I completely understand your feelings, I've cut mine short a few times and it definitely is an adjustment, but I think it looks adorable on you! I hope it's grown on you. (:

Hibasilisk: You're probably over it by now but when I got my curly pixie I went through twenty minutes of such a silly feeling, then I've grown to realise that I have never felt more physically confident than with that short, liberating style! I hope that you are doing well. You look gorgeous.

M. Smith: The only two things missing from the pic that inspired you is the color and some texture. I did a “big chop” two weeks ago and I know it’ll look so much better with some balayage (2nd time doing a pixie, did highlights the first time) especially when I wear it wavy. Good luck!

Audrey Kelley: I felt the exact same way when I got my pixie cut! I instantly regretted it but now i love it and it's really cute! My girlfriend is getting her hair cut the same way because of how cute it looks on me :) Don't worry! Different hairstyles, hair colors, and different ways to part your hair will make you happier! I parted my hair different and let my bangs grow out and now its just how i want it! Just see what fits you and experiment. Hang in there, I understand!

Alice Fleming: I had a pixie for 4 years, tried to grow it out to try something new, got it to my chin and got it all cut again. It's takes time to get used too, having it short makes you so confident as you can't hide anything, that's you, you can't hide it with hair, which makes you so much more accepting of who are you. People who go short, feel so much more liberated then people who keep there hair long. Pixie hair is soo cool and striking, I have so many people saying to me "I wish I could go short but I don't think I dare" it looks great on you!

Karley Thompson: I just cut off about 8 in of my hair and this is exactly how I feel. Extremely in shock.... every time I look in the mirror I get massive anxiety and I feel like I’m too fat for the cut. I’m dying on the inside. But this look actually looks fantastic on you

k: hey! i just got my pixie cut, went from very long to short hair and it was the best decision i’ve made when it comes to my hair in my whole life. I absolutely love it and i encourage everyone on the fence to go for it. It makes you feel confident and seriously anyone can pull off a pixie cut. I don’t have any negatives about it to say, but this video was one of the videos i watched before i got it to encourage me, so, Thank You❤️

omqreda: I love it and hope you grow to love it more! Totally know where you're coming from when others tell you they like it but YOU don't.

McRae0225: I haven't seen it in person but I LOVE it on the video. It's a very distinctive cut and you look like no one else. You are your own sassy person! Love it!

itsmestephanie: I got a pixie that at first i hated. I cut it because my hair was so distressed and damaged from using heat tools with no protectant. I tried just growing and cutting, growing and cutting, so i could have healthly hair but im just too impatient. Grew it out for about 6 months and didnt get very far so i chopped it all off. And the hair stylist didnt style it, she just cut it and left me to my own devices(which i actually appreciate because of the cost). And when i looked at it i was like "oh.. my.. oh.. I look like a boy.. I dont look pretty.. how am i going to deal with this.." but after i played with it and got the right style i loooved it. I mean, i really miss longer hair and im growing it out but i love the pixie. I was told i looked edgy and bold (which im not lol) and that this could be my signature style

Yansi Keim: You said every thing on my mind when I got my cut. I love you for this ❤️♥️

blue28119: It's a great haircut you look beautiful with it the salon did a great job on your hair. Going in your lunch hour isn't a good idea though. You looked fantastic

Dominique Muller: It's beautifull! I thought it was going to look terrible based on the Video Title haha But thank you for giving an honest review, I think quite a few of us will have a similar emotional experience :))

momof2: The cut is an ok one...not a chop job, but They could have made it more of a cute pixie cut by layering it, and showing you how to style it. Get some mousse or gel and play with it, look up pixie cuts on google

Mary Swenson: I think this haircut is great on you! I got a pixie a few yrs ago and I liked it but a few days after I just hated that I couldn't braid my hair or put it in a ponytail had alot of compliments but it personally did not suite me.

rosalie chilibeck: I absolutely love it!! Your whole face looks brighter and it accentuates your eyes! Definitely think it suits and flatters you.

Carolina Herrera: It looks amazing,it will look even more amazing after a month or two and that is exactly the length that I like.

BB: I understand how you feel. I hated one of my short Bob cuts in the past and everybody picked on me and made me hate it. I actually liked it coming out of the salon. Just try not to think much about the hair only. Focus on other things for a few days and weeks. Just be relaxed.

Practically Deaf: You have inspired me so much you are so strong and a very happy girl I want to cut my hair rn

k: it looks so amazing on you! i’m about to get my pixie cut later today and i’ve had long hair my whole life and i’m scared so i’ve been watching pixie cut videos lol!

Renee Walton: I love it! Your hair is soooo cute. I can't wait to get mine!

Skiferrr: That's if I've decided to get a pixie cut. Thank you for being so inspiring with this video btw!!

larltm23: Holy crap..its so stunning on you. I recently cut my hair a bit shorter than this and at first I wasn't so sure and wasn't use to it but I absolutely love it now..i watch cool tutorials and I have alot of cute hair bands and hair accessories and earrings too to bump my my look. Your hair cut is beautiful.

Holly Allanach: I really hope you see this Ava, i had a bad haircut a few weeks ago i didnt know how i was ment to style it. I got myself so worked up this morning i put into google ive had a bad haircut & you came up. Ive actually just made myself a parting on my right side & done it similar to yours. I now can see what it will look like when it grows out a bit more. Thank you so much & im now Subscribed

Lᴀᴄᴜɴᴀ: I love pixie cuts, and I want to get one. My mom would be like “oh, you sure? Alright fine. Your gonna look bad though” and my dad would be speechless for a few seconds then start yelling “NONONONONONONONONONO”

laura.mp3: I'm going to get a pixie cut soon and this video helps me feel more confident:)

Star Arelene: When you explained about wearing makeup, I was like “me when I get new glasses”

Mary Kathleen: the first time I went pixie, I had a panic attack! lol .....you look great! the pixie suits you, makes you look even younger

Caitlin: I'm sorry you didn't like it! :( Not sure what it looks like now, but it looks super good on you in this video! I admire your bravery to take the step and get a pixie :)

Wanda Wolfe: I felt the same exact way about 8 months ago when I cut mine. I was in a law enforcement academy so I couldn’t wear makeup as well it broke me!

DreamCatcher: I had a very similar haircut some 3 years ago, I loved it! Because it looked kinda boyish, I used liquid eyeliner or a bold lipstick, or long earings (looks soooo cool!!!), so I ended up looking more feminine than before! you look amazing and totally rock it -- and making me miss my old hair now :p

Audra Jones: I've been wanting to get a pixie for about 3 years now on and off. I finally cut it in a asymmetrical bob that my mom recommended last fall. I absolutly hated the cut, because it wasn't my style or what I wanted in the first place. I have scheduled to get my haircut next weekend, and I'm super nervouse, but also really excited. I am around 5'10, and have fairly broad shoulders, so I'm really just scared of feeling like I look even older than I already do now(I'm only 14, but look around 17).

miriouka: I got a pixie in 2016 and absolutely hated it from day 1, my self esteem dropped so low and I refused to go to school for about a week afterwards. I'm growing it out now, and I feel a lot more confident now :')

Sylwia Wrześniewska: Sara is the one who motivated me to cut my hair short. I am going on Tuesday :) scared

debb10: I think this suits you more than your before hair. Love this cut. It brings out your features.

the*Faith*ful: A pixie cut isn't for everyone. But I'm proud of you for taking a chance!

Crystal Kelly: Hi Ava I had to stop watching and tell you although you hate It, I'm the same if I get my hair cut wrong. Truly you look amazing and your eyes are big blue and really stand out. Don't be so down on yourself. Sending hugs xxxxxx

Kelsey Kinum: Hi Ava, it's been a while since you first cut your hair but I just saw your video and just wanted to say that I have had a very similar experience to yours. My hair has pretty much always been very long but I've wanted a pixie cut for about a decade (tried it once and it was crooked so I grew it out, go figure), and I finally took the leap and cut most of my hair. The longest part was still about chin length but the back shorter. I was IN LOVE with it but I still wanted it tweaked here and there.. a bit too confident I guess.. so I went back a couple months later and got a real pixie cut (about 3 weeks ago?). When she turned me around to the mirror I was silently horrified. I felt like I looked like a boy. So I'm thinking about all those "fierce" actresses and women I printed pictures out of and why I suddenly felt more self conscious than ever. In the end, a couple people really like it and I feel like most people don't even say anything (when they loved my hair the first time I cut it a few months ago). So it's hard to not let others opinions manipulate how you feel about yourself, but for the past few weeks since my pixie cut, it has truly been a test for myself and I'm happy to say that I DO like it now (working on the love)! Currently I'm working on honing my fierceness and making sure that that's what others see too - not a woman who feels like she made a girl's mistake in a bad hair cut. It's not a bad hair cut - it's a self confidence lesson! Chicks who rock short hair are bad ass and I just bet you can agree with that! Thanks for sharing your experience with your pixie cut and all the vulnerable feels that go with it. Glad to know I'm not alone ;)

Amber Sowards: I love how you explain things in such a nice way. I want a pixie , but I feel like I might feel the way that you felt. Like I lost more confidence. Which you know for being 18 I don't have much of. But you made me want a pixie cut even more!!!! And if I don't like it . It will grow back. Thank you!!!!

brokenanklesarentfun: I have had a pixie cut for about 4-5 years and I have had points with it where I had a bad cut or didn't like the colour. Now I just do it myself and keep it blonde so I feel more girly and edgy. The colour and style makes a huge difference. I think everyone has a pixie cut for them. Also if you straighten your bangs and mess it up with product it'll look really good.

Sabrina: it actually looks so beautiful on you. I love it!

Sharon Taylor: I absolutely LOVE your hair!! I never comment on videos but just wanted to tell you that!

Melkee Kiper: I know this video was a few years ago, but I just got my hair cut and the woman did a major hack job. Your hair looks fabulous on you!

Nessa: I recently cut my long hair off, I walked out feeling the same as you - I felt so ugly I even took the next day off work. But I went in not really knowing what short style would suit me. I went and got it fixed and died blonde elsewhere which gave it some more dimension and I’m in love with it ! A month later I want it shorter ! I even now have a shaved undercut :) you will Honestly learn to love it

Erica Mae: My experience is with short hair I feel alot more unattractive, everyone with longish hair make me feel quite frumpy and plain yet short hair on others is beautiful so obviously it's what's going on in my own head. I never like the way hairdressers blow dry my hair it is always to set looking and makes me look older. Most times I go straight home and wash my hair myself. I am 42 and I have never dyed my hair so it is in great condition. My hair is copper and I have no greys. I like my hair after 2 weeks growth from my actual visit to the hairdressers. By the way your hair is absolutely beautiful I love it

Dee: Although I love long hair, it doesn't really look good on me and drags me down. So I decided to get a Bob and it was so liberating and now I'm thinking of going even shorter into a pixie. P.S. you totally pull of the pixie.❤️

sarajosully: The style in the pic you took right after with it styled looked awesome!! Do that! Hope you ended up liking it.

Kylie Reese: Girl it literally looks so good on you

Caroline Menezes: i loved this video. Thank you for showing your feelings and thoughts about it. By the way, you're beautiful and sweet, so i hope you enjoy your new look

•jessica •: you really do look beautiful in your pixie cut!! dont think otherwise :D im getting one this tuesday or wednesday, i hope it comes out all right for sophmore year. im excited but nervous cos i never got one before :P

Lovely Buns: The pixie you have is sooooo cute and adorable I am getting a pixie cut too and I’m nervous a bit as well

Hana Badawi: That specific cut suits u amazingly and u look beautiful so keep the pixie and u inspired me to get one and I'm only turning 13 but I'm getting one on Monday.....thank you

carol king: It makes your beautiful eyes pop. I hope you keep it . Remember way to much pressure on your hair styles . No tears ‍♀️

Kelley H: I know what you mean about people saying they like my haircut & im thinking "but I HATE it" ! Yours looks sooo much better than mine ! I like the back of yours that "poof is exactly in the right spot mine is pretty much on top of my head ! I went to a stylist that charged alot more than what I usually pay for one! I loved hearing your rambling Im rambling to my family every time I see myself in the mirror! I cant wait to grow it back out !

Yan: I'm not allowed short hair. I hate my long hair i always had it long. My mom thinks i will look like a boy and she hates short hair on girls. It's my hair. Not hers. How do I explain it to her?

Ginnie D: As a hairstylist the cut essentially a great cut ,balances with some ease of style. Ive worn a pixie like cut for 20 of the last 27 years ive been in the hair biz its suits me in time you will like it too

Donna Smith: Hopefully we are defined by more than our hair . You are gorgeous inside and out.

Cath Nailtheday: I had the same thing 3 weeks ago. I bought Hair Burst and Alpecin caffeine shampoo to grow this shizz out asap. I have had short hair for 2 years but this cut was just crazy for me. I don’t like it and it’s totally not what I asked for. Keep smiling xx

MsSheilaG: The picture you showed looked more edgy. There was product used for texture. Yours looks more smoothed down. You really should play with it and play with some products. Also like others have said - try a more dramatic makeup look. The woman in the picture had to work for that look. She didn't just wake up or jump out of the shower like that. It's a nice cut on you. I hope you end up embracing it. TFS.

Amanda Stetson: That's a very nice haircut that I can't have because of my wavy frizzy hair. Probably what you wanted was a reverse bob which is very cool, feminine. Search on Pinterest for ideas.

Dahlia Manoa: Omg I love it, looks very very very awesome on ya I just got mine a week ago and I love it just like yours keep on making your videos one of them inspired me to get my hair cut thank u god bless and have a great day ❤️

BlueEyedSpirit_: It looks absolutely amazing!

Sybil Mccalla: It looks really beautiful on you! I love it! It really had a classy, feminine sexy look.❤️

Brittaney Lewis: I hated mine for the first like two days.. took no pictures, totally avoided going out in public lol but now I love it!! Don't plan on growing it out for a while!
