Hey guys so different location is different, like my racks, oh, this is so easily um, but it's too dark to film downstairs more my normally and with my lights in the background and such and I'm stepping on things um back to what this video is actually about. So I have a haircut that is kind of different um. I have had short hair for a very long time and if you've been following me for a while or if you've seen some of my older videos, my hair is a very interesting awful texture. Um Cliff Notes version here. It'S very frizzy, it's very curly if I can make it curly kind of a very it's very pain in the ass um, and I mean it's like one of those hair textures that, especially with the length and is now I can make it stick straight up. If I wanted without any product in it - and it constantly is being it looks more damaged than it is, even if I take completely good care of it, even if it was a virgin hair, it still looks damaged or more damaged than it actually is so um. I'Ve gotten a lot of people who have asked me to talk about how I style it because it definitely is kind of an art. At this point I've tried a lot of things. I'Ve tried more products, hair products, straightening products, all sorts of stuff than a lot of people have in their entire lifetime, and I found something that has been working out fairly well for me, you want to be in the video. This is you any of you. You want to say something: this is Kiki's trick. This is Kiki underwater ready what what go ahead, one more one, more perfect, okay back on track, Alicia you're, just all over the place. So I just didn't want to talk about what works for me and what I found is you less heat, which I'm sure a lot of you are going of course, Lygia less. He it's going to be less damaging um, but I've kind of gotten a routine down that does take a little bit more time, but definitely seems to work better for me. So I kind of just wanted to go through that with you right now, so we're going to start off this hair journey with some clean towel, dried hair, and then I like to use three specific products. I use the silky smooth, moisture serum from s factor as well as the smoothing luster Iser, and then I use the grooming cream from bumble and bumble, and I kind of mix these in my hands together and then apply it on my hair. I apply most of it on the top, because that's where most of my hair is, since the sides are so short and then the next thing, that's really important is taking a comb and making it look like a mustache and once you're done doing, that is to Style, your hair, how you want it to stay since I like my hair to kind of go forward, a la Donald Trump, I'm just going to kind of smooth everything out and pull a lot of it forward right at the crown. Just because that's the way that my hair was cut and that's kind of how I style it, and then I pull the bangs to the side and just kind of make sure everything is super, smooth and stuck to my head. The next thing is to get a beanie, preferably one that makes you look like a panda and put that on, so that it goes with your hair, like I just did, starting at the crown of my head and you're going to keep that on. Until your hair is dry and this is going to act as your hair straightener for me, this is about two hours, but sometimes I'll just go for an hour and then blow-dry the rest. So you can see it doesn't, make it completely straight, but it really makes a difference from blow-drying it. So then, what I do is, I just apply a smoothing serum to help even further to keep my hair healthy and frizz free and the one I like is: silk therapy just get that all over, and I just apply that, while my hair straightener is heating up And by the way, the flat iron that I like is by metropolis, and I like it because it's a half-inch iron, a full inch iron like most of the standard ones, would be too big but anyways. I'M super super not coordinated. When I straighten my hair, as you can see - and I just want to straighten the front and the top mostly because that's the main part for me - that's the most important to look the sleekest. I'M not super particular with this, mainly because I know I'm going to put pomade and kind of mess up my hair anyways, but if I was, I would definitely be using a clip to get every piece as straight as I possibly could. Next part is pomade, which is so so so so so important when you have short hair to really give it its texture, and I love the bedhead pomades. I have like four of them and the one I'm using today is Bed Head manipulator, which is pretty sticky and gives a nice texture eyes. Look without being too much since you can see I kind of give myself a mohawk, sometimes sleek it down. There'S all sorts of stuff you can do and that's about it now, on top of what I've just showed you something else that I like to do every month and a half. Is this two-step protein treatment, which is by ask gee I'm going to guess, that's how you say it and it's really kind of an interesting product um, but it essentially leaves your hair feeling like you've, never dyed it before and it's a protein treatment like I said So it's for people, you know that bleach their hair and do a lot of stuff to it like I do, and it really is amazing and I can do a review or like a kind of how-to on that products, a little weird if you guys want. Oh, that's something that has also kind of come into my routine and just made a huge difference: um but yeah. So that's about it for what I've been doing lately to style, my hair. That does not naturally straight and I will list all the products and stuff in case you missed something and um a blog post on xbox comp, and I hope you guys doing well and I'll talk to you soon. Bye,

Jaleesa Moses: Your hair is going to be super damaged and frizzy if you go over each piece a million times with the flat iron. If you section it and go over it once and chase the flat iron with a comb, it would be really sleek and WAY less damaging. :)

J3ssiGurl: I absolutely LOVED this video!!!! Watching this makes me want to get a pixie cut again!!!! #longlivepixiecuts <3

Aurorae: Thanks so much for this! Leesha, how did you know exactly what I've wanted you to do a video on? All my life I had long, thick, curly and frizzy hair, but I chopped 26 inches into a pixie a month ago. I've learned a lot, but I'm still looking for tips and products so this is great! I love the hat idea.

MaryAnn R: Oh my gosh! Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU for this video!! I recently just got my super long hair (it reached my bum) cut to about your length of hair (maybe just a tad longer) & I've been struggling with trying to figure out how to style it! My hair is super wavy, super thick, coarse, & frizzy so like yours, mine is also a hassle to deal with! Thanks for the tips again!!

stlxprincess: I LOVE your hair like this. It really suits you so well, and I can only imagine how much nicer/easier it is on you, with your hair type and texture being so difficult! And B: I fucking LOVE the color of your room! Purple is my favorite color, I'm dying of jealousy at the wall color now! Haha.

HarlequinDust: I would definitely like a how-to on your protein treatment. I love dyeing my hair, but it's starting to get damaged even though I added a lot of products to help keep it healthy. That video would be greatly appreciated if you're willing to do it!

Beautynewzflash: Love your hair and style. I have seen you change the colors over the years as well. Probably my favorite color I have seen on you was auburn. It looks like your style and texture is similar to mine. When mine gets a little too long it gets more curly and flips outward. Thanks for those tips!

Fiona: Please do a review on the protein treatment!! I've dyed my hair so many times and my natural texture is a lot like yours, coarse, frizzy, dry, and now my hair is completely unmanageable I have no idea what to do with it anymore. Im thinking of cutting it all off seriously because its so damaged. But if theres a product like that that could help me that would be awesome!! Btw you're adorable Leesha, you're my favorite youtuber <3

Kris: I also love Aphogee! It has truly saved my hair from all the times I have colored and bleached and highlighted. I just colored my hair so I think I will do a treatment tonight. It's a rather long process and it stinks like cat pee, but it's worth it!

kyandi3: I cannot tell you how happy I am that you made this video. I have really thick and coarse hair and I have been wanting to cut it short for a long time, but I have been so nervous to because I thought it would be impossible to style XD but this video helped so much! thank you for making it! :D

Valerie: I've been doing the beanie hat trick for my bangs and it works awesome!

ArielRN2010: I discovered Aphogee back in '04 when I fried my hair with highlights and it was breaking off at the roots. the lovely gals at MUA recommended it to me. It smells bad and is a PITA to do every month or so, but soooo worth it. You rock that pixie very well!

Lindsay Cariad: Aww, this takes me back to when i shaved my head in high school (this was in the mid 90s'!)..And i sported a pixie til long after college! Now that ive been wearing a French bob for the last 10 years, your hair style is the one i ever consider going back to- it so cute & unique! And i NEVER think i could have long hair! Ugh..LoL! Nice tutorial!

piercedxangel: I love my pixie cut, I honestly don't care what other people think about it! I know it looks good & I was so tired of having long hair and doing nothing but ponytails with it. I love your hair, really looks great on you!! :)

Schmetterling Mariposa: I have a similar cut, but completely opposite hair texture. It's super soft, and equally a pain, because I really want more texture! Still on the hunt for my perfect product too. Thanks for sharing!

p0up0un3: I love when you do pixie related videos.

Tiffany Bruess: Moooooooooooore hair tutoriallls! I cut like 8 inches of my hair off into a pixie cut about a month ago and I'm finally getting used to it and wanna do shit with it!

Jane Fleet: Love it. This style is very becoming on you. Color is perfect too. Thanks for the tips.

ParkerTheSnorlax: I just got my pixie cut yesterday, but I wasn't sure what to do with it. Your video helped a bunch! thanks :)

spinsyr: This hair is SO cute on you! Could you please please please do a how-to/review of the aphogee protein treatment! I use it as well and would love to compare notes! Thanks!!

Leslie Bowlus: this video gave me an "ahha!" moment. My hair is growing back from being bald from chemo. It is short and doesn't want to do anything I want it to. I have never tried combing or styling it forward though. I am excited to try it and see if it looks better or more stylish. It is a bit shorter than yours, but essentially the same shape. So thanks for the awesome tip!! Also, could you share the name of the paint color on the wall behind you? It looks so mermaidy and fun!

Brittany Bailey: Haha my hair's exactly like yours and I do the hat thing too, everyone thinks it's weird, but it's the only way to control my super curly, frizzy, coarse hair while it's drying so it'd be easier to flat iron :)

Gabby: Believe me when I say I understand about pain in the ass hair, my hair is identical to yours when it comes to texture so you're the only beauty guru I've always trusted for hair product recommedations. I started growing my hair long when you chopped yours off and have been battling it as it grows. It's a monster. Haha, and I'm pretty sure you'd agree.

AllieMcReal: Thank you!! Definitely going to try it now :)

ANNMARIE4280: I love your hair!! Totally wanna cut off my hair like that !!

MissCathryn: I absolutely love the apHogee 2 step treatment if you haven't used it. It's like 3.99ish at Sally's. I'll love to sew a tutorial on it though :)

Laynee Cranney: Definitely do a review on the protein treatment! !! :)

Lolarox: You look GREAT with out makeup!!

Jesse James: From what you describe, my hair is a very similar texture to yours: Thick, temperamental, curly (but straight to wavy if you kill it), Mine is a couple inches past my shoulders, which is the longest it has been in my entire life. When it is a little shorter, it looks like Jim Morrison's hair, NO JOKE! I think it is awesome that you found a routine to work for you. I know people complain about how your hair is damaged, but I think it looks lovely no matter what color or style you go with. X

tresbienq: How about a 'no makeup makeup' tutorial. You look very nice without makeup! xo :)

kissesnfishes: Oooookay, I have long hair, but now I want a pixie so I can style MY hair with a cute animal hat. You're so adorable!

NeonPeachKnits: I have adored your cute cute (and style!) since I subbed. You are inspiring Leesha!

Sarah Nucero: i really like this hair style on you and your skin is looking great!

KaiTheKiwi: also would LOVE to see more about the protein treatment! :D

Diane Mary: love your sweatshirt! its so cute!! you pull off short hair extremely well girl!

Joyce L: haha! Kiki is so cute, especially that little trick! Although I have straight, fine hair I still enjoyed what you did!

Minimyr: Sooooo frustrating to see so many nailpolish but none on your nails!!!! I loved your hair when it was red but i have to admit that your hair right now is the best cut and colour you've ever had... This style is your style, don't change it!!! Kisses from Paris ;)

Anna Robbins: I tried the dry your hair with the beanie and I loved it.!!!!

chiwawagrl22: Kiki's trick made my day :3 <3 how precious!!

GrabbyTee: I used that. same trick, putting a beanie when my short hair is wet up until I told my hairstylist and he scolded me saying that leads to scalp yeast infections. Heads up on that!

Irina Sagarbarria: I would appreciate a video on how you apply the aphogee treatment. It's so runny it mostly ends up on the floor and not on my hair.

SirenSpell: Thank you for this! My hair is the same texture!

meems666: Please do a tutorial on the protein product! I'm really interested as to how it works. :-)

dco589: yes please, i would love to see a tutorial on the protein treatment!!!!

Layla: PLEASE review the protein treatment!! I definitely need it! haha

jordan SH: Thank you so much i just got a pixie cut and i have no idea what to do with it! i more over in to the way how Denise styled her short hair in the Cosby show! I'm sorta just messing with it today! i really like the 80s look lol! I'm not from the 80s though! :3 thanks again i like this style too! :)

swv82991: I have really long hair but I still watched this whole video haha <3

fawksee: I switched to "no 'poo" a little less than a year ago (I had poofy hair, no other way to describe it easily) and it has made my hair lusciousssss. I actually get compliments on it, now, haha! I also have been using manic panic dye for the past few weeks and the method I use seems to make it last well. :D I'll add my "how-to" as a video response to this. :)

makenna thompson: The smoothing serum being applied right before the flat iron I believe is some of the reason your hair gets easily damaged. Best way to explain it would be - your smoothing serum is acting like pam right before you fry eggs. And running the flat iron continuously on the same strands of hair over and over are extremely damaging. A heat protectant would make a big difference. My hair stylist has taught me soooo much and I just wanted to share :)

ThisIsMyHappyEnding: The first video I've watch from you was your red lip tutorial, a few years ago and I have to admit that the evolution of your hair was quite interesting !

rmcbeigh: your hair always looks good... it goes well with your eyes and smile!

NIK5TER: I really love your hair like this!

Hailey Rose: Omg your room<333 and where did you get the twinkly mirror things? love you!

Stefania Mikulec: the waves looked so nice when you first took the hat off! You should rock it like that!

KaiTheKiwi: i actually really like how your hair looked right after you took off the beanie :) though i love how you have it normally too!

Meredith Knox: Your hair is adorable,I love it!

Emmy Wegman: Sorry for the stalker vibes lol, but omg this is exactly what I've been going through. I have used the beanie trick before but these days I'm just too lazy to bother straighten it. You hair looks so super cute this length, but I love your curls right now

Nancey Jones: I like the nail polish racks, I think I remember you saying where you got them but I don't recall which video that was in. Does anyone remember? Also thanks for the video, I have curly hair too and I love to straighten it out!

prettyparrot101: this reeeeally makes me want to get a pixi cut!

Natalie Ball: i love the bed head manipulator! I have a pixie cut and it works wonders.

Bee Carlton: I have the SAME texture, and I swear it always looks like my hair is super dry and damaged when I baby it SO much. Frustrating, I can never find a style that really suits my hair.

skylilly1: I've always wanted to try a pixie cut...someday. ..hahaha your cat is so cute!

kamaniisopi: Do outfits of the day! Please!!!

rachnrobb: this sounds exactly like my hair aside from the length, it's nice to know I'm the only one cursed with frizzy horse hair!

awsomepeep: Lol it sounds to me like you have ethnic hair like me. What you need is a foaming wrap after you wash your hair. It keeps your hair molded down and straight so that way it won't be frizzy. Just ask about it at a Sally's store.

makeup2spark: I love it when Kiki "appears" in your videos. He seems like a lovely cat... =]

Gabrielle Asadorian: God your hair is so cute! I wish I could pull that off :) but now I'm craving a really choppy layered hairstyle it so I might have to visit a hair salon soon

ToxicLacedRainbows: I would love if you did a review/how-to sort of video on that protein treatment you mentioned :)

sgorospe: haha oh my gosh i just looked back, and her hair really has changed sooo much so many times! i wish i could do that!

JennyF0407: Yes please do a tutorial/talk about the protein treatment!

jamielynn217: How often do you have your hair colored to maintain it? AND, do you know what level your natural hair color is?

AllieMcReal: i've heard SO many good things about the Aphogee protein treatment, but last time I went to Sally's they talked me out of it since they said you have to be very careful not to "over condition" your hair with this product. Apparently bleached hair can break really easily if you overuse protein products (they said it will feel almost TOO soft when it's ready to break?!) and seeing how I tend to overdo everything I'm nervous now!!

PsychoticTragedy: She made one a long time ago. You can look for it in her playlists.

Sai Smith: If u use "lotta body" setting lotion (diluted with water) spray the hair down, use a fine tooth comb to comb the hair into place and use wrap strips. They are these nice paper strips that hold the hair in place till dry or u can use a wrap band. Once dry just style. The lotta body wrap lotion gives hair manageability, and shine. I used it when I had short hair and even when I roller set me or my sisters hair

wolfco47: I know you have a lot of experience with various chemical colorings in order to achieve your various colors. But, I wondered if you ever tried a henna based dye instead. Since henna dye coats the strands instead of opening them up to add color, it might help your hair condition. Of course, henna doesn't allow as many color options, but I still think you might like it. Mind you, I understand henna dye & chemical coloring should NEVER be mixed because they differences in coloring techniques.

Marndemarn: You actually look really awesome with all your hair up ;p

Vesper: My hair is basically exactly the same as yours, texture wise. Currently growing out a full undercut/mohawk type deal, I like to go a good few days between washings... and if my long hair is in a ponytail when I sleep on it somehow ALL the hair on the sides of my head stick straight out even now that it's a good 4" of length. Brushing or combing does not tame this! My point is... I soooo feel your pain.

shinya9292: This haircut is soooo cute on you :)

Cybele Says: your videos are the only ones worth watching on youtube. keep it up!!

Tineke: Hi Leesha, I find the S factor silky smooth moisture serum dries really really HARD... applied on wet/dry hair, doesn't matter. I have about the same hair texture as you, I'll try mixing it with other products but so far I find it makes my hair like cardboard, very disappointing. I actually really hate it.

Gothdess: I need to see the protein treatment video! My hair is...so awful from bleaching and coloring, I need that stuff!

msvanblack: I really enjoyed this video. Quick question, what shape is your face? I have round/heart shaped face and I was wondering if this would look good on me. Anyone can answer!

Persephone ^.^: Would love to see a video on that and love Kiki :)

Angela Everitt: I love to see women who are brave enough to rock short hair! I've had variations of a pixie cut for a couple years now and I get hateful comments almost everyday things like when are you gonna grow your hair out? You know you look like a boy right? and even a few times, the bible says you're not a woman if you don't have long hair. But I love being different so i'm proud to rock it everyday! Your hair is beautiful and it suits your personality perfectly! :)

Janice: My daughter will be donating to Locks of Love this month and wants a cute short style. I'm sure she will love this video. Thanks :)

StateOfWishing: I would love a review on that protein treatment!

Kimberly B: I love your hair....if i were to ever get it cut it would be like yours!

Grace: I love how you're not a freaking stick!! I love you Leesha!!!

Ashmacash: Please do a review on the Aphogee stuff, i've always wanted to use that!

Amala Ynez: My hair is the exact same, like mo joke I have a pixie cut, just like yours, my hair looks really damaged, sticks up with no product, its naturally curly so I've been using heat, But I noticed I didn't want to use that much heat anymore because it would just damage it more, so I went on YouTube and found this. So thank you soo so much!! :P

Kristen: I wish I could rock that kind of hair :p it suits you so much, and it looks like its not a pain in the ass to style

Brittanyblast58: Omg my hair is just like ur but I love the way u style it :)

hill2mason: how do you keep your platinum hair from turning yellowish? or brassy?

BlodwenFach: hi! did you do a tutorial on the protein product as I am thinking of buying it but want to see how it works etc. Thanks

rubycnote: unfortunatly my hair is far too thick and curly to dry it like you did, but this was still very helpful

Cristina Popa: I remember way back when you had red hair and showed us half of your head straightened and half natural :)) omg...i just realized i've been watching your videos since 2008...which is like almost 6 years ago!

sweetsacrifice77: I love your hair! I could never pull that off haha....

Meredith Knox: AWWWW!!! Kiki is too cute. I'm obsessed with cats omg

janasaurus29: one thing I have learned is that with short hair you want to apply products and brush it in the direction you want it to be. I have a graduated cut that is boy short in the back. Like you I have pain in the ass hair and I've found that not scrunching in product, even just damage relief serum, it helps :)

THE BLESsed FAMILY: This was a great video. Aphogee Keratin treatment is easier to use every two wks. Try it :) @xsparkage and @PhoebeandCorrie
