Relaxing My Natural Hair After 2 Years + Pixie Cut || Hair Transformation Tutorial

Hey guys ! Today I take you on this journey of mine where I finally decide to relax and do a big chop to my hair.

My natural hair was dull and unhealthy due to the wigs and not just having any interest in taking care of it.

Cpr to just what you want go the one who tries I belong. I belong to you and I always be around when I need love and I'll. Never let you down! Let you down. Let us hey guys, welcome back to my channel. It'S me your girl, Tony or lucky you get your first time. Stopping by you are most definitely welcome. I think I can see something is different about me. Obviously new year with this yeah, this is my hair. It'S it's all mine, okay, it was healthy. It'S shiny me, it's not dull! It'S not breaking off guys. I am so happy. I am so excited about a decision that I made yeah. I'Ve been natural for about 25 years. Now I my hair is just in that awkward length where it's not really going properly and I kind of step out of my house without a week or a half-sized scarf or the minutes were wig, and I'm just tired of that. So I decided to make it shine for myself to make myself happy to do what I want with my own here because attached to my head and it's 2019 are making decisions that would make us happy in 2019. Yes, okay, cool, I just a disclaimer. I totally back Chile have to do this, I'm not encouraging anyone to relax their hair or to texturize the hair or top lighting kind of chemical to their hair. I know this is whole movement going on natural hair movement. You know people I personally try a texture which is fine, but it's not for everybody, and it's definitely not for me. So I ask okay that you please respect my decision and so after I can count yeah. Okay, thank you. Thank you yeah. I hope you guys enjoy this video make sure you hit that subscribe button right down below, find subscribe to my channel and until next time, guys peace and love okay, guys. So this is what my natural hair looks like, as you can see it's as dull. It'S as dry, it is brittle, it's just really freaking cool and my edge is oh, my lord. My edges are crying for deliverance for salvation. You know they need a 180 transformation plus its new year new me. That'S why I said it's you know, get rid of this, make my hair look a little bit more healthy and if that means relaxing my hair, I'm down for it, so we are going to start off by applying a chemical base to my hair, this literally protects My scalp from burning from the relaxer, and it is essential to apply this just so you guys know the texture feels like Vaseline and what she's doing right now is the tiny parts in my hair as many places as possible and apply the base onto my scalp And it's going to sit on my head for five whole minutes. No one else does baby wait. So five minutes later the base has melted into my scalp and I'm going to go ahead and apply it. The kinks ology Hydra dip, leave-in conditioner. This is all vegan based products that she's using in my hair. I don't know if you guys cannotice, but my hair is breaking off so much it's just falling off my face literally so right now, she's going to go ahead and part, my hair into three different sections. Look at that piece of hair that just fell down. Look at it guys, oh my god, that's what I meant, but anyways she's, going to go ahead and part. My hair into three different parts, just gon na starts with the back and she's gon na start, applying the relaxer going from the tips. First, I don't know about you guys, but in Nigeria, when they used to relax my hair like back back in the day, they always went for the roots. First, I don't know why, but she she went for the tips first and I found that this middy process actually easier for me because it wasn't manipulating my sculpt so much. I my hair wasn't too hard for her to get to communities, but anyways she's been to keep massaging the products into my hair, making sure to part my hair into smaller sections and applying more of the relaxer onto those sections. Charity hair is, you know, drenched or not drenched just so the relaxer is in every single strand of my hair, so she's being soon. If the relax had to sit on my hair for about 15-20 minutes, the difference between texturizing are relaxing. Your hair is usually the length of time the chemical is left on your hair, but after doing my treatments, my cocktail treatment we're going to go back in with the King theology, deepen leave in conditioner and spray this all over my hair and then she's gon na Stop coming my hair and trying to frame it, and but I was right now actually working on a style. You know some don't fit the frame of my face because you guys gon na tell I have a big big head like my head is big. Okay, so right now she just went. I had to kind of comb my hair into the shape of the head style that I like and then she's gon na start passing my hair in two sections and she's gon na go ahead and take her shears. Oh, my god, this practice scared me, I'm just gon na go ahead and take her shears and literally cut off my hair guys, look how short she went, but, honestly, like I really really love it, and I told her I wanted my hair short. I just don't think I mentally prepared myself for how short I was going to be to be honest with you, but I don't know the day. I'Ve really really loved my results, and it's just here. It'S gon na grow back anyways. So what should do right now is literally cutting my hair in layers to ensure that my hairstyle comes out bomb. You know bomb calm, okay becoming forehead Jesus. So at this point, the first batch of cutting is done right now, she's coming my hair into the desired style and applying some mousse, so just sort of manipulate and leave my head down flat. While she keeps coming my hair into the shape. / dessert doubt that she wants so what this does. It actually leaves my hair down. It makes it flat enough, and once it's flat enough, she's gon na go ahead and wrap my hair in this white bin. I honestly do not know what it's called. I honestly can't remember, but I know you can bite and your beauty supply store so right now, she's gon na go ahead and wipe off the excess moves on my face. While I go ahead to sit underneath the dryer for like 45 minutes so after my hair has been dried, this is what it looks like yeah. You can see how flat she was, and now she's come in my hair and honestly, even like this. I love the texture of my hair, like it just looks so much more healthy than the way it looks before. So you know for some detailing some nice touch up some nice line up. You know she's gon na go ahead and get a clippers and what she plugs this in she's just made to go ahead and cut off all the excess hair. You know so my hand lays down perfectly in layers she's, not giving me a low cut guys. It'S just trimming hey, you know some watch women, I'm just gon na go ahead and detail the back of my hair and, as you guys can see, this is what the back is starting to look like the shape is starting to come through, yes, honey, I'm just Gon na go ahead and take her blow-dryer new Chinese start, my new pleats in my hair as well trying to comb it into the desired style. I'M stretching my hair just and it's a bit more because my and you guys my hair is not fully relaxed at this point. It'S texturized. The next step right now is for her to cut off any harsh lines that her clippers may have caused. You know this is still part of the detailing process to ensure my hair links down nice and we're going to get in apply some healing serum onto my hair. Like I said era on these products, I'm vegan and she doesn't think I didn't seem to apply shine to my head. You guys couldn't really see the difference and I'm already smiling I'm grinning and shy. She hasn't even styled my hair. Yet do you guys see this lineup right now? Do you see how detailed the back of my head looks right now, so yeah one side is done and she's with the other side, no one's gon na move forward. You know we're going to move to the front of my hair she's, essentially doing the same steps back putting curls in the front of my hair. I don't want to call them curls, but you know what they are undercut. The back of my hair guys, like Oh cuz, I couldn't see the back of my hair, obviously on omniknight's it's in this video and it just looks amazing my opinion anyways, but yeah. I should got ta just finish off with the study and I'll go back in with some hair serum and just go ahead to comb my hair into the desired style, and you know I don't bomb yeah guys. I can't stop grinning like look on my face. I am so happy with the outcome of my hair. It looks really beautiful and, most importantly, actually looks healthy. I can't actually walk out of my house like this, without tiny scar for worrying about my wig and I love it so much you guys can tell. I can't even stop smiling I'm just laughing and I think, like my ear, piercings show so much better and you guys kind of compare and contrast. Okay, you can see the difference. In my opinion. I definitely made a good choice and yeah. That is pretty much it for this video. I hope you all enjoyed it and until next time guys peace and love

Keyania Warren: Whether she is natural or relaxed we are all BLACK! I've been natural for seven years and have no intention on ever perming my hair, but hey that's just me. My point is that we need to stop tearing each other down I see some very ignorant and uneducated people in the comment section and y'all need to chill. Her hair came out beautifully and if that's what she wants then let it be. I understand everyone's opinion but at the end of the day it's still her choice. Just love her for being a sister because we are all more than our hair and with that being said I love my beautiful queens and I hope that you continue to grow mentally and spiritually. #stayblessed.

OmabelleTV: Girllll, this is your hair. Looks so good on you

Simply Subrena: People don’t understand that sometimes we just don’t have the time or natural doesn’t fit into our lifestyle. I’m a straight hair natural, I don’t relax because I can get the same look without it but hair is an accessory. Let people do what they want! Your cut is super cute

Kori Paige: Hey Girl! I come from a family of professional cosmetologists and the reason why she started at the ends is because you were natural from roots to ends. If she would have started at the roots they would have processed completely before your ends had a chance to fully processed which would have left you with uneven results especially since you were going for a texturized instead of a complete relaxer. When you go back for a touch up then she will start at the roots and make sure that she doesn’t overlap on the area where your hair was previously treated as that could cause your hair to be over processed which leads to breakage. Hope this helps!

Uwani Aliyu: That cut frames your face so well Do you and be happy, the world will adjust

Heavenly S: I relaxed my hair last week too glad to see that I’m not alone now ❤️

Kersha Beaver: It's sad you gotta explain your choices. This natural thing isn't for everyone. Do you boo. Your hair looks good .

Tyiece: End results are pretty. It was scary seeing those clumps fall off. Wait until you restore the health before you touch up again. Please continue to deep condition weekly, protein treatment monthly and try oiling the scalp with JBCO.

Beautiful Child: I'm going through the same thing with my hair and I'm considering going back to relaxed. Thank you for sharing this. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one.

Luc Jo: I get my hair relaxed every 3 months I love it! I don’t care what people say

Shantania Beckford: Girl!!!! I wanna join you now! Been debating for ages!!! You hair looks amazing!! Natural isn’t for everyone. Atleast you have something growing out ur scalp and ur happy lol. Big up yourself my queen!

Lakietha Kelly: People give me a hard time about my relaxed hair, but its healthy and I love it. I also love yours its definitely you.

Els F: Hair looks great on you. I went natural because the chemicals always burned my scalp. So although I’m having trouble wearing my natural hair I’m doing the best I can to embrace it this year instead of hiding it. Chemicals and my scalp just don’t mix .

Olivia Octavia: When you relax natural hair, you start at the ends, but for touch ups, it’s the roots that need the relaxer, so you start there. I love how this turned out! The cut suits you so nicely

Simplistically Digital: Your hair looks really cute! Cute style! I am at that same crossroad with my natural hair. Wigs and scarves everyday. Not growing and dry. I am tired of walking around looking like a ten year old wearing twists and Afro puffs ‍♀️

Janice Bess: Whether you have locs, loose natural, wear weaves, wigs, or permed, if you don't take care of your hair, it will break off & look dull.

Uzzy Kalu: This video was sooo encouraging, because its natural doesn't mean its the best for you. looking forward to more relaxed hair style videos as well as how you maintain the pixie cut.

Wambui Nyambura: I swear you made me go natural two years go and when 1st Jan started i relaxed my hair, just to try something different. Now you've also done it!!! Wow!!those tutorial better come through

Ivie.J_TV: Wow !!!she did a great job and the style really suits you

Shawna Denise: This looks soooo good, don’t no one wanna keep putting edge control every 5 mins.... just cuz it’s relaxed doesn’t mean it’s not healthy...

• Iamsheysaint •: Even the stylist was happy for you. It’s 2019 and like you said. You doing it for you ❤️

Nique ✨: I’ve been thinking about relaxing my hair again and you’ve sold me! This is beautiful!

Shantia Blackmon: First of all, the pixie cut looks real good on you!!! The hairdressers did a fabulous job of relaxing it, styling it, and cutting into a style that frames your face. I remember those days of rocking a pixie cut! I am all pro natural! Been natural for over 8 years. 4c natural!!✊✊✊✊Rocking my Afro. Inspired by the movie "Good Hair" by Chris Rock, my two younger sisters, being a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve, and tired of burnt scalp to go natural! It took over 8 years for my hair to get to its current length. I can't wait for it to be longer than what it is now!! Never going back to relaxers. So, Toni as long as you are happy and your hair is healthy that is all that matters!☺

Reservechic: Your hair and makeup looks truly MARVELOUS, sis! As, I absolutely adore your new look to the fullest! And, don't worry about any body who tries to come for you, because you chose to go back to wearing your hair relaxed again. I love it, and if they don't, then they can just move on! No haters allowed here, that's for sure!

Mary-Collette Nyong: This hairdo is gorgeous Toni ❤️ Literally every hairstyle fits you love you !

Lindsey 00: I think that you are right for relaxing your hair. If you can't managed it and don't want to do it, don't force it. I don't know if it looks healthy or not but i hope that you enjoy your new relaxed hair

JaiKela86: Your hair is freaking gorgeous!!! I’ve been wanting to cut my hair for the longest time. And you won’t believe how sick of natural hair I am. Girl you just gave me my inspiration

Sallisha Beggs: This cut is soooooo Cute!!! Girl you got me over here wanting to give back into relaxer and cut it up!!! So beautiful!

Kesha Desires: Yay team relaxed! Your hair looks way more manageable and effortless. The hair cut fits you.

africanigbolove: I love it!!!!!!! I am natural, but I recently cut it low. I was scared at first, but I got so many compliments!!! So I decided that I will just keep it low and get my hair cut and edged up every few months by my fantastic barber!! I love his work and he is a great barber!! Love you Toni!!!!

Danielle Sibiya: Girl I saw this on snap and I was wondering if it was a wig but naaaahhhh sis u went all the way You look so gorg babe

D Harrison: Beautiful.. this style definitely enhances your beauty. Good for you for doing what's best for you. I'm at the point where I'm considering changing my hair. Natural hair is hard work and I'm getting tired of wigs and wearing a scarf on my head. I'm inspired.

BeSpiffyBeYou: This cut and everything looks really nice. The makeup is poppin’ too

Kayce Dinobi : We love a risk taker. I also just cut and relaxed my natural hair of 5 years. Best decision ever. You look absolutely beautiful, don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise❤️❤️

GL0-: I love seeing how evolved and mature women are! It's nice af to see that people support others decision, regardless of if your natural or relaxed, or even texlaxed. I see y'all in the comments!

Bre Jenkins: Your cut is BOMB !! I relaxed my hair after 8 years of my natural journey and uploaded me relaxing my hair as well, I truly understand. Your hair is beautiful either way ❤️

Ighi: You look great! No need to explain your choices! Some women in the black community really look down at those with relaxed hair and there’s no need for it! It is possible to have healthy relaxed hair. I’m currently transitioning after having my hair relaxed for 14 years. Seeing how this goes !

Ah Fum Fum: Absolutely Gorgeous. The hair stylist did a great job, really suits you

BRKLYN 29: I can hear and feel your happiness! Beautiful, relaxed or natural!

Rai.SoLovely: She did this really well. When you chemically process hair, color or relaxer, you aren’t supposed to ever start at the roots or the very ends. You start in what’s called the “cold zone” which is mid shaft (which is what this woman did). The roots are closest to your body which generates heat. The ends are the oldest which could break. When relaxing from here forward, you only need to put it on your roots. Also, be sure to add the necessary protein and moisture. If your hair was pretty much cracking off prior to the relaxer it can start again after the relaxer.

TheRoseZara: Omgggggggg you're making me wanna relax again. I LOVE this look on you so much

Cookie Iesha: U and I both, I relaxed my hair a couple weeks ago after two years of being natural , I was so excited to start the natural hair journey but it wasn’t working out my hair would break so much I was scared to comb it but rather finger comb, now my hair is relaxed and it looks great I did a similar cut as you, I don’t mind one thing I love about my hair is it grows back fast and I started to use castor oil which is working great.

NaNa Rh: This is the hair cut I would like to be confident enough to have! Looks amazing on you

Tara Livermore: I relaxed and cut mine last October and I'm still loving it. I haven't worn a wig since october. Although I still love wigs, it feels good just rocking my short cut:)

Khaza Akbar: I love how happy u look wit this style good shit Sis u keep smiling beautiful

africanigbolove: I love it!!!!!!! I am natural, but I recently cut it low. I was scared at first, but I got so many compliments!!! LaDeja: It looks so good!!! Really considering getting a relaxer too!! Easier to manage

Brittany Cheatham: Wow! That hair style fits you very well. LOVE IT!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Nono Dlamini: Looks so pretty! I also did this about a month ago but I really miss my natural hair now ‍♀ Because every morning is a bloody routine of curling that hair to give it that necessary body. If I don't, birds might mistake my head for their nests

Lolo Future: Texturizing my hair was the best thing ever. My hair just wasn’t flourishing being natural this third time round so I gave up. Your hair is super cute

Marta Mille: Girl I really love the hair cut and the hair style ❤

Nyasha n: I am happy for you, I love it. I have long soft hair, and I was actually thinking of getting my hair done like this. Keeping natural hair in my opinion makes me look childish.
