Hey y'all welcome back today, I'm going to be doing a talker video, it's the whole video on how to grow a pixie cut. A lot of you guys had a lot of questions for me on my hair and how often I cut it and how I grow it and how I can cut it so many times without regretting it um. You guys are new to my channel welcome. I will update you quickly. I actually cut my hair every three to four years, depending on how long it takes me to grow it um down the center of my back, and I don't need it for the past few years. I'Ve been training it to Locks of Love, which I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with. But then I started doing my own research and I realized that Locks of Love makes wigs for children with alopecia and I wanted to start giving to a different cause. So I started researching organizations that make wigs for children with cancer. So for the past two years I wanted a or two times that I donated my hair. I donated donated it to that organization. I believe in my last video I don't know which one it was. First of all, where my hair was short - and I kind of talked you through - why I cut it. I linked that organization in the down bar down below, but I'll do it again, just in case you guys are new and you didn't get to see that video. It will be in the downbar in the event you want to donate your hair. This is going to be a very quick video um. I just want to dress some things, because I had a few questions about my hair and I just want to make an entire video about it and just address the questions that I got and be done with it. Rather than give you bits and pieces in some of my videos just give you a how to grow out a pixie cut video for you guys to refer to all the time before we get into this video. I just want to mention my face. Jax, please. You love subscribe all the time I start filming on my face. I use all BH Cosmetics products. As far as the eyeshadow is concerned, I use their 88 color cool matte eyeshadow palette and I also use their 28 color oils palette. If you guys are interested in seeing a makeup tutorial showing you how to do this, blue look, let me know in the comment section down below. I do have a makeup tutorial coming up with the oils palette, it's more of an everyday look, since I know y'all like that. But if you want to see this more dramatic look I'll be more than happy to some. It was so much fun to do so. I'M gon na be talking about how I grew up my hair, how I manage it and how long it takes me to grow it out yeah, but basically I cut my hair super super short. When I first cut it. I believe my first time that I cut it was in August, and it was like tight to my head um. It has grown quite a bit to the put where I can actually twist it into different things with it um, so it took about six months to get where I am right now and I have not cut a since then so it does take time for my Hair to grow, I want to say it usually takes about a year and a half for it to get like at least down to my neck. But I want to talk about what I do, how I manage for those of you who have pixie cuts that are trying to grow them out. My first tip would be find your natural hair, texture and work with it. Applying constant heat to your hair is a really good way to damage the little hair that you have on your head. So when I say find your natural hair texture, if your head checked, texture is curly straight wavy find what works with leaving it. The way that it naturally is. I tend to leave my hair curly more often than that, especially since it's been growing out, I find it easier to manage when it's curly and if I do blow-dry my hair. I try to leave it straight for about three days now. A lot of women do that as an blow dry, their hair, but I definitely encourage you to do it when you have short hair, because keeping it healthy is key to getting it to grow quickly. My second tip would be figure out products that work for you find products that are sulfate free that are close to organic, if not organic, as close organic as possible. Try not to put crazy things in your hair, like the fruity stuff and the Pantene stuff. I know that there are really good products, but when you're trying to grow out your hair, you want to put things into it that are going to benefit it. I use a lot of products from Shea Moisture and olive oil. Those are products geared for women of color or women, of with hair of my texture, curly kinky kind of that kind of hair texture. So I find that all those products that I use Shea Moisture and olive oil have a lot of moisture properties in there and it helps put the moisture back into my hair. I have a very greasy scalp, but putting moisture into your hair is very important, especially when you're trying to grow it so find products that are good for your hair and lay off the ones that have a lot of terrible chemicals. My third tip would be really just embrace your hair. A lot of people get really frustrated. I know when I first started my hair journey and I started cutting it when I would grow it out. I just get so frustrated that I just chopped it again and all the hair that I would chop wasn't long enough to donate. So when I would go get a trim, I would just like you know what just cut it short again and it took me twice as long to grow my hair out also, I was cutting here that I couldn't donate and in all honesty I just I feel Really selfish for doing that, and not finding a way to manage with my hair, my next tip would be watch what you eat. Eating certain foods and putting certain things into your body are really important when trying to grow out your hair, drink lots of water, stay hydrated and try to eat things that contain lots of minerals and good fats like avocado. Avocado is great for the hair, but it's also good for the skin. It'S great for hair growth, um lots of fruits and vegetables, just keeping yourself healthy and hydrated, is key when trying to grow healthy, happy air. Also, I find that when my hair starts to grow out to a place where I can actually do stuff with it, I um I start finding different hair styles that I, like so play with your hair when I said embrace it in the last tip that I Mentioned I meant like play with it, see what you can do with it right now. My hair is curly. When I wear my hair curly, I do feel a tad uncomfortable because I don't know I just I'm still getting used to it. So just embrace your hair and find out what works for you and just play with it. It could be a really fun journey if you just embrace it. If you guys are looking for hairstyles on what to do with a pixie, are growing pixie cut, make sure to follow me on instagram, because i do post a lot of the hairstyles that i discover um and I share it with you there. I don't know that I would be able to do like a video on it, because I really just stumble upon these hairstyles they're, not hairstyles, that I know about. I just play with my hair and I come up with stuff. So if you want to see what I do with my hair, as it's growing make sure to follow me on Instagram here is my name and you guys will see firsthand what I do with there. I hope you guys enjoyed this video, don't forget to Like comment and subscribe, and I will talk to you in the next one: bye guys

1000RandomDaisies: Glad I found this video :) I've actually just decided to start growing out my hair in order to donate it to a charity that makes wigs! It's going to take forever though, i used to get the back and sides shaved so it's going interesting seeing how it grows out!

Araceli K: 3:22 starts. Thank you! Great tips.

Jane Kakoulides: girl look at all that eyeshadow. i love it. not everyone is passable w makeup that way but u did it. bravo. trully sharp. i your hair. lovely.

Chica Flowers: I love you're hair!!... I am trying to make mine healthy again... After been on different medications damaged my hair know I am off them so getting my hair healthy is my next step

Jenny Bk: Great video Also respect the fact that you donated your hair

Evlynn Rod: Thanks for this hair update! I am growing out my pixie and luv the way your hair curls..I want my hair just like yours...!

Angela Ogden: Don't be uncomfortable, your face look great with the curls!

Deeviixo: You mentioned your hair gets greasy. What shampoos or products do you use to clean your hair? I find the more natural products leave my hair greasy, but normal shampoos make my hair dry.

YasieTV: Curly hair just takes so long to grow

Ikram Toumi: I love the cut on you and the blue eye shadow is just awesome!

Lala Purp: Wow my hair takes 3 1/2 years to grow to my desirable length which is to my chest/chest/stomache. Its gonna take so long though but years go by so fast so I'm not stressing it hehehe. I just hate how I'm in highschool and I'm in the stage where I wanna feel and look beautiful. Im afraid of the awkward phase. Hahha be I don't look as good with short hair like I thought I did. I feel like a grandma honestly.

annie r: Ik I’m late on finding this video but I’m so glad I did because this is the first video where my hair is like the persons in the video

Oof: Just a question, what is your curl type?

Ronniem: that's why I got a pixie so I could donate my hair

Anonymous: my curly hair grows very fast even tho it looks (and probably is) damage

Mary Rivera: I stumble o you video and My hair is actually as long as yours in this video. My hair was past my waist and i ruin it by bleaching it and it all broke off in 3 days and was left with a pixie. I learn to love it and in a way Im not sad. I just get up and go. So what i decided was no more hair products and embraces my curly hair. Which now I can style and play with it.

Michelle Santiago: what hair products do you use. I'm trying to maintain my curly pixie and it's a hassle. its sort of curly/wavy. very similar to yours. bringing it back to life from heat damage. can't find a product that will keep it soft and bouncy while curly. Most products seem to wear it down or make it look crunchy. I hate that!!. i like natural soft curls... but how??? any suggestions on products?

Rachel Stiles: Is your hair relaxed?

corebroth: Does anyone else feel like they know exactly how her house smells? Just by looking at her, the lighting, and the background, I feel like I can smell straight through my phone

Aminah: Ur hair looks beautiful

#Shabby Girl: I need something to hold my curls without it being crispy! Any tips..

Ann Conner: But that lip tho

Karlee Hooker: do you have 3b curls? or something else sorry i'm not good at labeling curls sometimes
