Hair Extensions: How To Glue In Full Head Hair Extension

full head

It'S Rock and I'm back with Marya we're going to be doing a full head of hair extensions. We highlighted her hair and in that video we did earlier today and I were going to be doing a whole head of hair extensions. We'Re gluing them in this is the method that I use with myself and I get lots and lots of questions for it. I'M going to show you guys exactly what I do. Okay, her hair is washed and dried, but it's not conditioned. So what I'm going to do is amusing, the liquid gold bond to weave glue again the days on everyone. I have a blow dryer here and just a couple hair clips. I have the hair extensions cut already because we had him in her hair before and I bought some of these Snooki clips. What every calm out that was just my mom IRA, hair parted on the side of her head on, where she normally wears it, and this is just going to help me go around and follow it. So I'm going to take her hair up. Her hair was red and so we're slowly like bleaching it out. So she was a little bit of just coloring down to the bottom, because that's where we had the darkest. So I'm going to pull it up to where I have a nice even line down here, where I'm going to glue the hair her first track or to I'm just going to twist it up. I can clip it and then these little hairs down here, because we cut her hair into an e line. These are falling down. So I'm going to go ahead and pull these down because we're going to put a track down low because her hair is going up really good and then I'm going to clip that up there like that. Okay, so we're going to take go ahead and hand me. The smallest track that you have the shortest washer yeah, so I will start at the bottom and work my way up and then do the size. So I think it's underneath here right this little guy, so I'm going to do is get a track that we who are using a hover, bender hair down, I'm going to put it on first make sure it measures on four. It fits and I'm going to go ahead and put glue on my track. I'M setting it down on a little side table here and then I'm going to glue my track and I'll show you guys in just a second look a cool little place. So I placed the glue right along the top part of the West. I'M going to go ahead and place it onto her hairline right like this, I'm going to hit it with the blow-dryer and the heats going to help it for my fingers, pathway and the cut downs were annexed, Harrison partly penalized smoother, and this is still putting heat On the track, this instrument has a little bit faster okay, so I'm going to continue to work my way up her head to get about two right at the top of her ears, so that's gon na be about through for four more tracks and then I'm going To start zigzagging it going to the sides so on this side of her head, where she's she's partying this way and coming over I'm going to bring the tracks further up closer to her temple, because it's not going to show because her hair is going to fall. That way, okay, so give me a light blonde big piece. Okay, so she gave me the track. This was what we're going to put it out, we're going to go ahead, place the glue on it and then place it on her scalp and the glue comes out kind of like a nail polish. So I just go ahead and I paint the glue on with the brush that comes in the lid. Blonde extensions are harder than dark extensions because and the blonde hair you can see through it easily, and so you have to hide the extensions more. So it's a little more challenging and your placement needs to be a little more careful, whereas with darker hair, you can kind of just put them in wherever I'll not be as careful, because you know the dark hairs going to hide it because you can't see through The hair okay, so you go ahead and place it here and then bring it on the back by hugging your finger right on this one, okay cool. So she brought her finger up on the other side and give me this finger on this one and then she's going to hold that side and, while she's holding him having her hold it down. This really helps Alessa. Give me another okay um again, I use the blow-dryer not to burn them. Overell or - and I don't hold it on one area really long. I kind of move it around and I do that so that the heat is going to help set the glue faster. You can do it without a blow dryer, but it's just you're not going to get the same bond as fast without it. Okay, so I have another little piece here and then I'm putting the glue on again and you guys can't see me doing it because it's down on the table, you need to hold the the extension piece down with you by your hand and put it the glue On, with your other hand, um, if what I'm doing I do my own extensions by myself on my whole head and when I do that, I just use smaller pieces like this and I'll put it on and I'll just head it with the blow dryer. But it has to be the width between my finger and my thumb, so I can hold it down like this with one hand and then blow-dry it with the other hand, so see how I'm go ahead turn. Hopefully the way I'm holding it with one hand. Right now and then hitting it with a blow dryer. That'S with that. I do when i doing on myself. I don't have someone to help me people, even though the night or early morning, when i hear on so i'm hold it sound like that, not push it into place, it's over laughing that first trunk that we did and that's totally. Okay, consist in the sudden it'll. Just act like one: I just tap it. So what feels like? It'S been really good, all right, and so then I'm just going to continue my way up and at this point, because her hair is getting long. I just go ahead and I I split it apart. So I'm taking a rat tail cone and I'm just going to come through and about an inch above the track that we just did I'm going to pull hair down and that's going to be our next truck so see you can see that truck through it. That'S what I was talking about with one hair you can see through the hair, so you got to be a little more careful when you're going higher up on the head, because you have to disguise it. You don't want your client to be having to fight with covering their hair all the time, but and honestly with one hair, you have two: it doesn't matter how thick the person's hair is they're going to be dealing with. You know a little more precarious cover up. So they're going to need to know how to backcomb my voice is starting to come back so happy. I can scream now all right, I'm going to set this into her paying area. Can you play your finger right there? Thank you. I'M again, I'm like holding this ice, no you're, fine, I'm holding this as I go, because I want it to be like as flat as possible want it to be super flat and super tight on the upper part of her head. So I'm going to hold it down for just a second before I put the blow dryer on it mine's there yeah I like to jump high up on people that I know have extensions when it's evening supplies okay. So we're done with her extensions, and this side is blended, really good. You can't see any tracks. This side is blended to the only part where it's going to be questionable. Where you have to hide is right here: on top and that's okay, we can hide it by cutting the hair and gluing it on, but that's really only good. If you don't wash your hair a lot and she she washed her her like a normal person. So I'm going to do, is I'm going to go in and pull up her Bane and then back comment and then pull it down and forward and then over here the same thing and that's good. When you go high because then she can look in the mirror and see if her tracks are showing and not have to be, like I don't know, what's going on in the back, okay, I'm gon na do that Harrisburg. Just section four games are awesome and then that's our example of a full head hair extension said. I have put your hand on see how, when her heads down like, if you really work, you can see it, but not really. So we just passed comments abundant in and then go ahead. Put your head and she's got long luxurious, full hair now and when we started she had an a-line. I was up to here so

Raquel Siders: I have worn extensions off and on over the last 10 years. I shower with them in, curl, flat iron, color my hair as I would normally. Keep in mind though the less you wash your hair the better the extensions last and stay in. I usually wash my hair once a week and use dry shampoo in between to make sure it doesnt get greasy

PhxMakeup: the extensions stay in about 4-6 weeks, depending on how oily your hair is, they type of glue you use, how often you wash it and such. I am going to be doing a whole head of hair extension video tomorrow on myself so watch for that. I believe it will answer all questions. Thanks for the views, keep your questions coming!

Raquel Siders: Hi Tori, no it doesnt ruin your hair as long as you use a glue remover to take them out. I would apply a glue remover and let set with a shower cap on for about and hour. Then was your hair a couple of times and the extensions should slide right out. If there is any left over glue residue use 99% rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky residue from the glue. Then deep condition your hair. If you follow these steps you will not have hair loss or damage. Just DO NOT pull the tracks out.

Peggy Faulkenberry: Thanks to your videos, I am saving a lot of money doing my own extensions. My husband and family think that my hair looks even better than having it down at the salon. The time and money I save, Wow!! I just can't thank you enough for your help ((hugs))!!

Meagan Sanders: Hello Roc! I just want to say that you did an amazing job! I want to glue in extensions myself, but I don't have anyone that can help me. So I was just wondering how difficult is it to do it by yourself? How can you tell what you're doing? Thanks!

PhxMakeup: it depends on what glue you use, the gold bond weave glue stays in about 4-6 weeks.. yes you can swim and shower with them.. but I have to tell you that the more water you get on your scalp, the faster they come out because it make the glue breakdown. Also be careful and condition your extensions well if you swim because the chemicals and stuff in the water will dry your hair out fast and make it gross

PhxMakeup: it depends on the glue that you use, some come out with first wash. General rule with extensions is that the less you wash it the longer they stay in. Once a week is good and then you can use a powder shampoo to freshen up during the week

Viviane sherazade: Estou usando esse método aqui no Brasil ,mas tinha muita dúvida da duração quando eu lavava soltava . Parabéns amei seu vídeo.

Jessica Presley: super helpful; thank you! do you have any photos or videos on cutting/layering the hair after its finished being glued in? I am very nervous about doing this ... i have a photoshoot coming up and i will be playing in the water with them, will they still look ok? Im bleach blonde, almost white!

dj Romie: Also how long do the extensions stay in? How do you reuse them, do you need to remove clue from the extension and how do you do that? Thanks!

Shay Frasier: my extensions lasted for 5-6 months, and, i treated it just like my own hair. :)

emmybearlolz: I think she looks gorgeous with short hair (: but thanks, this video was very helpful and much more professional than others (:

PhxMakeup: well you can do a few things. it really depends on how often you wash and flat iron your hair. If you put in straight extensions then you will need to flat iron your hair to make them blend in. I would make sure you condition your ends and hair good. Be sure to braid or put your hair up in a bun at night before you sleep to keep the damage down

DarkSkeleton182: how long does the extensions stay in your hair, can you color your hair when you wear them? and can you swimming and wash your hair normally with them? (sorry for my bad english) i love your tattoos btw (:

amanda m: I had my hair cut like hers but now it's grown out and my hair reaches the top of my collar bones. I just purchased Virgin Brazilian Remy to glue them in. I've had glue ins before and noticed that they got very itchy when I put them towards the front, where my baby hairs are. I'm worried that if I avoid that area, the extensions won't look as blended in. Do you have any suggestions?

Cece Garcia: How long do they last in your hair?

Raquel Siders: I have used glue in extensions off and on for 10 years. The only time it is bad for your hair is if you rip the extensions out, rather then taking then out with glue remover. I let a glue remover sit for (bout and hour) and then wash out, follow with a heavy hair mask to get last bits out and you should be good. Email me if you have questions or issues [email protected]

Lisa C.: do you double your wefts? I have thin hair and have to double my wefts but don't know how this is done with glue ins. Thank you!

keri schultz: What glue do you prefer this liquid gold or the super bond from sally story, what lasts longer and what do you use to remove.

Raquel Siders: HI Nureliz, you can buy them many places. It all depends on what city you are in. The best thing is to look for a wig shop, because they typically have several brands of hair for extensions or you can order online or Sallys Beauty supply has ok ones. If you have trouble and cant find them feel free to email me at [email protected]

BlueberryThoughts: Sally's have got great extentions, they only sell them as clip-in though. So you have to cut away the clip yourself by hand and you might have to make the pieces a little bit less wide. But all thats easy and totally worth it!

MissyP80: Yikes! The thought of putting glue in my hair is scary, lol!!! Obviously you know what your doing though. I've never had extensions before but I don't think I would like it much. But you do a great job and it looks great! Thanks for the tutorial!

Raquel Siders: I agree, don't put your tracks all the way down to the bottom of your hair line, leave about an inch or two up and stay back from the hair line on the sides about an inch or more and you can wear it in a pony or any up type style

Skye Lara: awesome video simple and pretty easy so thanks 4 the demonstration ^-^ i got 1 question tho what kind of hair extension brand is better to use and how long does the glue last? how many times can u wash ur hair while the extensions R on it and after can u reuse the extensions or do you have to throw them away?

Adelina Perez: Does anyone know what glue is best? I've had my extensions in for a couple days and they already fall out when i wash my hair? (Using some kind of black glue)

evilmoxie: yay! your model looks ahmaaazing!! i'm glad i found your video a lot of videos on how to glue in extensions are like, step 1, glue in hair, step 2, voila you're done! and i'm just like... uhh what? so thank you!!!

Raquel Siders: @MoiraS63 maybe 2 packs max for whole head. I suggest going into a hair store because you can look and feel the hair, rather then ordering it online, but if you cant find a hair store.. I suggest ordering it from Adorable Hair out of NYC. Sallys Beauty Supply also has an ok selection, and they carry glue and remover as well. Let me know if you have any other questions and also if you want to email me direct and send pictures for suggestions my email is [email protected]

elles ski: how often do you recommend I wash my hair when i glue them in? also do you glue them on the scalp?

KELSO: very helpful video :D , thankyou <3 .

Raquel Siders: its best to flat iron your hair and it will blend better, also if you plan to wear them for an extended period of time you might want to run thinning shears thru the tips of them so it blends all together better. Thats what I do with mine. Also it is better to try and match the extension hair to your own texture the best you can, like if your hair is wavy get wavy or curly and vice versa

dj Romie: Thanks for the video, I have very thin hair, esp in the front area, almost like a receding hair line, So My bangs are very sparse and shorter, along with the temple area, so basically in front of my ears up over my head including my bang area, is my trouble area. Can you tell me Or do a demo video on how to put extensions in to give me a fuller frontal area or bang area. Of course I'd want to use extensions to make my entire head fuller as well. My hair is shoulder length and blonde. Thanks!

Raquel Siders: MizzezTurtle gave you some good advice, rubbing alcohol also gums the glue up and helps it slide right out of your hair.. just make sure you condition well after this

jean wilson: Just a thought..if clients hair on top is very fine, a small hair topper could help to hide last track

PhxMakeup: thanks for the love all!!! samoa93.. I glue mine on the scalp, I have been for years and as my hair grows, the extensions grow down with my hair. It works best for me and is easiest on my hair haleigklement.. I dont know how many grams it is, it all depends on how long the hair is, how this your hair is, how thick you want the extensions.. I usually just judge it by packages of hair when I am doing my hair.. so for my whole head its 2 packages

Rachel Berens: I am getting this done tomorrow!

OxDARKxDESIRExO: Can you brush these extensions just like yours without them ripping off?

SamoanF.D.: I am starting to experiment with glue-ins, ps-love your vids! ;). I was just wondering when glueing in the extensions do you put them on the scalp or half scalp and half hair?

Bella Gaye: Nice job for a white girl doing a quick weave

Joey: Yes they are! I always get the "sassy" brand in 18inch.. there 80$ canadian ! i use the redkin "real control" just to stop them from drying out

kylee8008135: where did you get the extensions? and do you know what colors they have?

tina cobb: So how do u get the glue out and the extensions off when u want them off and out?

MizzezTurtle: with oil sheen... you spray it on the tracks and they come off easily.. no ripage

Golbarg Kirkland: hello , I have very curly hair , I always straight it and its little bit damaged but I love to have long straight hair , what do you recommend? what type of hair extension should I use?

Raquel Siders: maybe try a blue base when coloring your hair. sometimes green ash base stains the very light blondes. I would use a a quick blue bleach with 20 vol developer and then you probably wont have to color your hair, just wash it with blue shampoo and it will cut brass. Be sure to condition hair from the ends up, not putting conditioner on your scalp because that can block hair shaft growth causing hair loss. Also pick up vitamin Biotin, it helps hair growth, I have used this after serious radiation

Aliya Marquard: How fast does your hair grow with Biotin?

Jamella Monique: Hey great video! what's the name of the gule you used ? And where can I buy it ? I'm in Sacramento area natomas

Raquel Siders: yes you can, just start brushing from the bottom up and don't rip them out.. brush them gentile like you would your real hair

Maggie Kuchcinski: Ty so much for this video and information!

Lexcy S: where do you get the extensions from?

Sharon C: What is Between the gold liquid glue vs. the BLack Bonding Glue?

Emma_does_nails_and_ beauty: that is the most natural of extentions i have ever seen! great job just wish i could afford them :(

Jenn Reedy: You prefer the "glue in" method rather than the "tape in"?? Seems everyone is taping in wefts now, I haven't seen a Glue in vid in years. Is this way better than tape in? Thanks for any help! :)

Seek Aguilar: Can I reuse the hair to glue it in again ?

Raquel Siders: I am not sure how fast your hair will grow with Biotin, I am not a dr, I just know it works. It makes it grow faster and stronger. Have you tried it yet?

Raquel Siders: Hi love.. I will post a video about my health issues and that may help you. I have a back ground close to yours and my hair is always thinning and falling out. If you can get your extensions braided in this is best, if you cant go for the glue in. Right now I am in Phoenix Arizona teaching makeup class and found an awesome person who does whole head braids from Detroit and she has been sewing in my extensions. Email me if you have questions or specific video request [email protected]

Kay Turner: i liked the outcome a lot!! Just the parting was a bit sloppy. not a biggie though

Raquel Siders: @skinnywithin that is so awesome, thank you! You should put up a slide show!! Let me know if there is anything I can help you with!!

Tarainia Willett: How long does it stay on

SpiritedKu: i glued my extensions in and they came out the next day in the shower with just warm water. no clue why it happened so fast

Jenn Reedy: Hi, I do bleach my hair. My natural color is a lighter medium brown w/ auburn tones ( hate red in my hair!!- always use ASH/GREEN base to get it out!! ) . I have used Clip in extensions for over 15 yrs. Many many brands! Lol- i have learned so much about hair ( ext.hair!)...

haleighklement: How many grams of hair total did you use?

Amanda - Jala Yoga: Can you still put the hair in a hair tie without it looking weird? Please answer

Imogen Eloise: can you re-use these?

BlueberryThoughts: So I really want to do this but Ive talked to a couple of professional hairdressers and they say its a bad idea to use that wide clips for glue-in, whats your opinion on this? Do you think its bad?

Maddy T: You are supposed to start 1 inch AWAY FROM THE HAIR LINE!!! Wow

The Horny Couple VRC: *Pushes her head down* "Put your hair down"

Kirstie Smith: How long do these last hun?

Joey: and yes you can dye them, but the extensions break off a lot easier

Raquel Siders: @kittykitty222 this hair that I used for Maryas extensions is human hair, so you can wash, curl, flat iron and color it. You want to make sure you take good care of it tho or it will tangle and get gross. You should sleep with your hair in a braid and use good conditioner and a good silicone base product for smoothing when you style

Tori Achy: I was told gluing in hair extensions ruins your hair and I was wondering if thats true? I'm going to be putting in extensions for my very first time and I am going to use the glue instead of the clips.

L Love: The outcome ok. The way I look at some of these tutorial....I get bits of pieces from it and add my own flare. In other words....you don't have to copy it to the T.

PhxMakeup: maybe try them as clip ins that way they wont ich and you wont pull any baby hair out

Nureliz Adorno: how much do they cost and were do you buy them?????

April Hamilton: So can you brush them without being light? && go swim.&& do ponytails?

Jenn Reedy: I like clip ins, but I would Love a more "perm" method. I hate having to take them out, since I wear them 100% of the time!! My hair thinned out from bleaching & I have 1 kidney & when Im taking meds its thins my hair, ughh lol. Its easier to blend & hide ext. W/ darker hair, I was thinking of going med Brwn..? But , i guess you do prefer GLUE in method vs Tape- I had no idea tape ruined your hair? I really thought the GLUE would..? Thanks so much for ur help! Your a Doll :) xx

Raquel Siders: @Gomez3398 yes you can but it wont last very long, the excessive washing would cause the bond to break down fast

LosingSerenity: ok, how do you take them out?

Yaniraa Cedillos: i Really want to glue mine in too but what glue do i use ?

KELSO: where did you get that hair glue :o ? can you get it at sallys?

Raquel Siders: @cariibaby18 you can cut the threads that hold in the clips on your tracks and use those tracks and glue them in. Msg me if you have any questions

kitty sopretty: do you wash your hair with them in? can you straighten and curl it like real hair? is it real hair? can i dye it?

Taylor Bommbshell: what kind of glue should i be using?

Celine Mc Grath: Nice work x

Raquel Siders: @MoiraS63 you can go to a hair shop and get the hair and the glue, or you can order it online from Adorable hair, in my first extension video I put all this info up, its the one where I have blond hair

SadisticMonkeyz: sooo blow drying it (after to apply the track with glue) will make it dry faster? help it stay bonded longer??

Rosae Designs: Can you wear your hair in ponytails and stuff?

Raquel Siders: I know places in Cali, Phoenix and Seattle where you can buy good hair extensions, also Adorable hair online out of NYC is a very good price and their hair is awesome

Anajine B: I do it better myself

Raquel Siders: @vintagedollyx your hair is probably already an ok length and thickness so half a head should be ok and give the the added length and volume that you want.

KG DaGod: What's the name of the glue u used ?? How much does it cost ?? Do sallys beauty supply store have it???

Raquel Siders: are you bleaching or coloring your hair? If you still have questions on this you can email me direct on my personal email to [email protected]

Gia Marie: The model is gorgeous

thatdamnstarship: did you get it from sally's or basically the generic brand cheapy glue? because that would be why hun. at least use liquid gold, I wish I could tell you which one is better than that but I have yet to find out for myself.

kiwi nesta vlogs: Wow that looks shockingly bad! I was just looking at prebonded u tip tutorials and saw this. I used to glue them in when I was about 14! And think I done a better job! Especially where u done right above the ear. She wouldn't of been able to put her hair up. Wefts and pre bonds are the way it should be. Clips even better

Raquel Siders: @seckenrod01 usually about 3-6 weeks before they need to be reglued

Jessica Rose: how long does it last ? im going on holiday and i done wanna worry about it falling out for 10 days

Kellye Foster: If people are asking if it lasts a year you should probably look into.extensions more.

Priscilla Simpson: So the hair part doesn’t need to be straight?

PhxMakeup: I dont know the grams, its usually one to two packs

london love: where do u get that type of glue and y you used that one
