Hello, hello hope, you're having a great week so far, a couple of housekeeping notes before I launch into today's video. First of all, a heartfelt congratulations to Martine Cristina from Romania. She is the winner of my two-faced love, flush, giveaway and Martine. This kit is on the way to you, along with a little bonus, blush brush that I decided to throw in there. So I hope you enjoy, and I thank all of you for entering the contest. You know there will be many many many many many more to come, so I encourage you to continue to enter Martine, couldn't believe that it was her. Oh my god. Oh my god for real. I said yeah for real. The second thing is, I was fully prepared to do a terracotta. I look for you today because you all responded so favorably to that ideal last week and I promise it's coming next week, but I got a little sidetracked because the other day I was styling my hair, and I noticed that one of my extensions actually a couple Started to look really long, the growing process - you know it's been about my gosh we're on five week. Five now can you believe it, and so these guys in particular I've got about maybe half to a three-quarter inch of growth from the root, and I remember Cerrone telling me that when the extensions start to twist like this little fellas doing it might be time. So I gave him a call and he fit me in today and I think it's a good idea to go in and assess what needs to be done. Do I need to remove them all and glue them back in or maybe just a few so I'll? Let him decide all of that, and on top of it we will answer your top three most asked questions when it comes to extensions, so come with me on a little field trip, so property is a very simple. The only thing that I was concerned is number one: when you remove the extensions you have to be very gentle with the hair, so you saturate we're going to saturate the hair with this solution and because of the way we typically put them in we're gon na Check them out and kind of saved in the same place, because you want to be able to reuse this hair for at least a couple or months. You know so like this. It gives you a chance for you, hair to grow in the other pieces that we have left. We can give you another look. We can go to much longer length. You know I mean so you really can achieve three or four looks with this with a hair that you bought once that's true and if you take - and this is good quality hair, it's incredible - you notice. It feels unbelievable and you've been on the beach. You haven't. You, you know, you travel, so you have to ask different water you've been out of the country. That'S incredible to see so you really get to see the texture and how well this hair becomes your and become sure a lot of people ask how long have many times put them back in, because essentially, what you're doing is you're taking it off and you're putting A new adhesive and gluing them so can I go through this quite a few times as long as the quality of oh uh? Well, I have to say you really take care of the hair very well. Okay, I can see, even though you know you managed, I mean you have to do so much to it. Every year I mean every day. You know you see how easy so I just paid so much extension, remover, okay, which then it's just an oil base, and I should apply nice. You know it's quite nice when you skin and everything, and it's really simple. Why did you just remove the piece? This is what comes tricky no other way. No, you need to put them together. Would you glue two together over to prepare? Yes - and you see how you don't even feel when it comes out, see and a lot of people say or there's this conception, that the hair will be damaged, how absolutely not - and they came up incredibly easily - so I'm not great in my own hair, not at All like I said you know it's incredible that this this remover it's so easy to remove them, but water and everything you do every day. Does it, but that's what I remember. I told you in the very beginning, be careful not put any oil treatment into the base, the hair, because that will immediately make them softer. How was the first day of having the exact time extension I'm dying to know because you know not a lot of people tell you about it yeah, but then they say was miserable. No, no. You know people asked what it feels like the other time. I really felt it at first was at night when I was saving because the tape and if we sit, is right up on the scalp. So you feel a little tugging at night and it's hard to kind of get a comfortable position in sleep and that lasts for about a week. But then the hair starts to grow in a little bit. An extension slide down a little bit and it's not light up on the scalp. So then, after a week, I didn't feel it yeah here's my natural hair right here. So you see how short this is. We go and the quality and you see it hasn't even changed. I know at all I mean oh, I mean it feels like my hair doesn't feel thinner, it doesn't feel damaged in any way. But yes, the reaction was astonishing, but it is it's a big change and some women, like my hair, shorter some longer. But you know in the end, it's about a own expression and having fun with what we thought and being able to change it in a day and not having a problem there and you can go short today. Then the Prius is going to say what happened exactly so. Basically, when I was just retouching your new growth, you know just that maybe 3/4 of an inch did. It grew because when we applied it we will put the first. The first extensions you call. It was fresh, so I always suggest this is a perfect time to remove them to the remove the pieces. Clean them do your color, so everything is fresh. The cuticle is strong again because you did your color so expense it. So it holds better. The Heather and people always ask what my base color is. How would you describe it? I describe it as a very it's rich chocolate mahogany with just a hint of gold, okay, so yeah, can you get a lot of Aria talk to me. So basically, this is step one exactly the same. Your back, the hair is up. Its color is fresh. I trimmed just a little bit of the ends. As you can see, it looks fresher and shinier right. We do not take away of your. You know your not your highlights like. So we just read your base color and now carefully. We are going to place them back the way we did it and, like you ask me, you know, can you cut them? Maybe just call your higher. Sometimes you don't even have to call them, because you can just adjust it according yeah, because you know Italy when you thought it was really longer it's also because your hair grew so you they grow up heirs back in. If I can yes feels good, my mother's from you Carl walk forward in back, it's not all bad influences. Better is that's my look, but you do also thank you. I mean that you go under yeah yeah. I think the most part back and forward sometimes I'll, do all that, but I do agree with you. I find that the hair blends better with okay. So here is the finished look and to answer your three most asked questions about extensions number. One. The removal process was very easy and oil was applied to the adhesive. It was loosened with a comb and separated, and then they washed the hair and put a new adhesive strip in. I did not find that I lost hair. In fact, when all of this was taken out - and I could feel my own hair - everything felt fine, a lot of people worried about the the process and what it will do to your own hair. And you know it's it's a little uncomfortable a little bit. But in the end, I'm really really happy with the result. Also, the next thing that you guys asked was: how do you, how do you style your hair and do you use the same products? I will say that I shampoo my hair. I can only condition the ends. I cannot get conditioner up in here, because conditioner cannot touch the tape. So when I'm using styling products, I'm not putting anything on my scalp. What I would do is, I would pull out my own natural hair and I would put a leave-in conditioner on the ends of my hair and then style. The next question was: how often can you go through this process of taking out the hair, putting on a new adhesive and putting it back in and Surin says it really depends on the hair itself. How, well you take care of it, the condition of it, because you can essentially remove it and put adhesive and keep going through this process several times as long as the quality of the hair is okay, so I figure this is going to last me. Quite a few months, I take very good care of it. I don't wash it a lot, so I'm hoping to be able to get about maybe five to six months usage out of this hair before I need to consider another batch so anyway. I hope this answers. Your questions and informs you a little bit more about the process of extensions, especially the adhesive kind comments and questions below. I promise I am doing the Terra Cotta I look next week. I promise I promise scouts honor. Whatever follow me on social media and KPRC, channel 2 at 6 and 10, I appreciate you - I thank you so, with round 2 of the hair go out, there be bold, be blessed and I'll see you. In a week the top

kotare2010: I'm unlikely to get hair extensions but so enjoy watching you; your positive energy is infectious.

Maryam Remias: Love your intro Dominique! Congrats Martin! Thanks for taking us on your journey to the salon. ❤︎ Maryam

Sabina Hertzum: I've used tape on extentions when i grew my hair out years ago - and i loved it - they are virtually undetectable if someone feels over your head in the direction of the hair - a thing that make the extentions different from any other kind - and thats why they are so great... When done right the extentions just grip a tiny amount of hair to adhere to, and thats the reason why the hairloss is a lot less than with other methods...

linda custer: Absolutely gorgeous - your extensions are such a compliment to your hair, look and face!

Donna Doble-Brown: It's amazing how stunning it blends with your natural hair! Gorgeous!

Caracta X.: Your videos are always very informative! Thank you for trying out all that stuff

Glorimar Viviers: I just cut my very long hair into an angled bob and needed to see part I & II of the extension process. Again, excellent and informative. Thank you.

VDR928: Very beautiful!! Absolutely natural looking! Love it!

Viva Fusions: Thank you Dominque I have to say those extensions are very good and seem not to be hard to maintain and this has taken away the mystery about extensions. Congratulations to your winner of the blush palette I am sure you will enjoy this. I still love your short bob though. Happy Monday hugs Vivienne xxxx

Timothy Sherrey Ehler: Martin, congrats! "For real life?!" as my two year old niece Kristen used when asking if something was true, or not! She is twenty-five now! I would think that the difficulty with the extensions at this stage, would be re-using the same extensions if they are not returned back to the very exact same spot. Your stylist cut them all after he affixed them initially, so they are no longer necessarily the same length, except for each pair used (top and bottom). Did he number each piece?! Obviously, if your hair is super dry, or you have significant issues with a dry scalp, etc.,and you cannot use oil-based conditioners, other than only at the ends (as it may risk loosening the adhesive), extensions might not even be recommended. I imagine those women who keep their extensions very long, may not achieve the same length of time as those using shorter hair pieces as there is more chance it may require more product (to decrease tangling), their own hair may be taxed more, due to the weight of the length right at the level of the tape/adhesive, and it may be harder to really 'baby' and look after as well. Thanks for taking us along to your successive appointment! Canadian love, and hugs, Dominique, Sherrey❤

Angela Cruz: I loved my hair extensions (Great Lengths) for the time I had them in... but now I just use clip-ins because they're more affordable and not as much of a commitment. :) From one former news TV anchor to a current one-- LOVE your vids! Keep 'em coming!

Olga Marina Hernandez: Beautiful as always

candice german: I have been curious about hair extensions for some time, so I called around to some beauty salons in my small town, and to my suprise they charge 500$ for tape extentions ( which would be 500 $ a month ) - the fusion extentions are 1,000 $ ( which would be 1,000 $ every 4 months ) -- that's way to much money. ....

J Stevens: You look beautiful as usual, I was wondering how long you were there for the whole process from the beginning to the end.

Belle journée à vous: Bonjour , le résultat est joli avec un effet très naturel. merci pour cette vidéo.

Rita Cymbalista: You've and Marnie Goldberg (Gold Girl out of San Antonio, TX) have turned me into such a make up junkie.  I was wondering if you can post the products that you're wearing even when you videos don't regard make up.  You always look so beautiful and I love to hear about the products that you use.

Jennifer Ann Fox: I like your hair the length in the thumbnail. But of course you look great with any length. I"m glad it was not hard to remove the hair and put back in. I don't have any experience with extensions. Your natural hair after he washed it looked so healthy and beautiful. I've seen the kind on people that clamp them in too. I have lost volume over the years and seems tempting but not able to pay that. Its fun to watch others though that can. Take care!

vsgheather: I'm considering extensions. Why did you decide to remove yours? Also, you are gorgeous with any hair style!

I am a Registered nurse with a background women's health, specifically high-risk labor and delivery as well as a Medical Aesthetician. I love taking care of women and making them look and feel beautiful.Thank you for also taking care of women.

BarbB inTennessee: I have used bonded, tape in and clip ins. The bonded and tape ins both pulled my hair out unfortunately. The clips ins are difficult to sleep in but do not pull out my hair. I am wondering about the sew ins or the beads.

Sharyn Newman: I enjoy all your videos, however I'd really love to see how it all comes together. Could you use another camera to show your set up area in the bathroom/studio.
