You hello, hello, so today I'm going to be doing a little baleog, hair, painting plus base color tutorial, and I am the worst and forgot to film an intro and also I forgot to film mixing the product. So I'm just going to talk you through what I decided to use on her. So, as you can see right here, I'm applying her base color very first and I am using a4n from gold well top chic, with 10 volume, and I am just getting that into her base to darken it up a little bit working up in small sections and Saturating really well you, okay, and then I am just taking one of my cutting combs and combing through the color that I just applied to her base color just to bring it down a little bit blend it in. So it's not such a harsh line. Okay! So now I'm starting the balayage process and I am using redkin flash lift with 20 volume developer and then I added in the redkin pH bonder just to keep her hair protected and healthy and, as you guys know, I've kind of gone back and forth between using Olaplex and red can pH funder. I haven't decided if I like one more than the other better, but I do think they're comparable. Look if I'm not a polar plug, so I'll definitely use the red kin pH. So I do think there are good things about both of them. I'M always going to be in olaplex. Girl old plugs has my heart forever, but this is a really comparable product, so I'm just really excited about that. So, as you can see right here, I used a zig zag partying and I like to do that just because I feel like it lets the hair lay a little more naturally - and I am just painting my V right here and blending it the best. I can. Okay, so there's a few different ways that I like to balayage. So, as you can see here, I just painted my Lightner on and then I'm just taking my fingers to rub it in, and I like to do this when I want like a softer appearance, and so that's what I'm doing on this section. Okay, so I am just weaving this section and then I'm wanting to it to look a little more sunkissed right here. So I'm going to paint my Lightner on and then I'm going to comb it down with this weave comb, and this is just going to give it a really soft natural appearance and pop those ends out a little more and I feel like the pieces around the Phase are the most crucial parts of the whole balayage. We like to call these money pieces because they go up higher around the face, so I took it up higher right in front as you can see in that I'm just blending downward from that piece. You and I like to use these mesh bones when eyeball iaj, because I feel like a lot of the times when you open air paint, it doesn't lift out as high as I'd like it to so. I feel like, if you saturate it and then close it in like a foil or a mesh foam, then it lifts higher. But I don't like using foils because I feel like it moves your product around and that's where you can create like those splotchy lines and I, like the foams, keep it in place, but they also keep moisture in. So it lifts out really. Well, you you, okay, so I just finished polishing the front and then I opened this foam up to look, how it's processing and it's looking so good. I'M so excited alright, so she's been processing for about 35 minutes and the backs done and the sights still have a little bit longer. So what I like to do is since the backs done. I don't want it to over process, so I will take the foams out and comb through them and the reason I comb is because it blends any harsh lines blurs the product together makes it look a little more natural and that way. If there are any mistakes, then I can correct them before I go rinse her out and then I'm going to use my squirt bottle and squirt down the product so that the bleach can stop processing I'll, tell blot it and then I'll just kind of wait and Then, when the rest of her hair is done, I'll go rinse her out. Okay, so now that she's rinsed out I'm toning, her at the bowl - and I am using red - can shades eq 8v with 90 equal parts, and i am just going to get this all in her hair saturate. It really well and then with toner, especially when you're doing it in the bowl with the bottle. You have to make sure that you get every area really well, especially underneath the head, because i feel like the hair around the nape is really easy to miss. So, as you can see, i work it in really well and then I divide it piece by piece and just like rub it in with my hands really well, and then I let this set about three to four minutes. Okay, so I'm going to use my Holy Grail product hydrate me Kevin Murphy, the shampoo ever and then I'm also using the blonde sexy hair. Violet shampoo and I am mixing the two together - the hydrate wash and the blonde shampoo to create a really pretty purple. Shampoo cocktail and then I'm using the Red King, pH bonder treatment and that's going to sit in her hair for five minutes. Okay, so now that she's all washed and toned - I am just gon na - be brushing her hair with my amazing wet brush, and I am using the weightless volume spray from Kevin Murphy. This is just like a leave-in treatment that I put in all of my claims here. I love it so much and then I'm just gon na clean up her ends a little bit and give her a nice little trim and then we're putting extensions in and the extensions are going to add pops of lighter blonde and just like a little thickness. A little bit of length, but not much, and I always like to trim my clients hair before putting the extensions in just that it gets really healthy and the extensions blend even better you, you, you you, okay, so I am using a new tool to my channel On this client I use, I usually use the babble s, one and 1/4 inch iron on most of my clients, as you guys probably know, but I decided to try out the Beach waiver this time. It'S really cool because you just press a button and it just like winds up the hair. So it's really easy for people who are like. I don't know how to comb my own hair. How do you do it? It'S super simple! You really can't mess it up. So this was my first time like second time actually ever using one, so it kind of took me a little trial. You know an error, but I got it and it was beautiful. So you guys should check out the beach waiver, because it's awesome, you, you, okay, so this is a new feature in my salon. We actually set out like a photo space against this wall, because photos are so important, especially if you're on Instagram and social media. So we have our little brick wall. We also have a white wall. Oh sorry, not brick wall, wood wall, I swear mommy brain is a real thing, even if you're not a mommy, because my brain is much this week. So forgive me it's probably just business owner brain, but anyway we have this wood wall right here, which is a really good backdrop for pictures, and then we also have a white brick wall. We have all of our lighting, so it's been really really great and I take like anywhere from twenty to fifty pictures per client and that's just because you want to make sure you get all the right angles. The right lighting and in those 50 pictures you'll have one like amazing one and it makes all the work worth it. So that's what I do with each client, because pictures really are displaying your work and it's like your online portfolio and it's so important and that's seriously how I built most of my clientele. So I just think that's so important. Thank you so much for watching this. Video, you guys don't forget to Like and subscribe and also leave me some feedback below. Let me know what you want to see in the future. What you thought about this video give me some ideas. I'Ve been feeling kind of like low on inspiration. Lately, I've only uploaded a few videos within the last couple of weeks and I just need some new ideas. So let me know what you want to see. Let me know what type of tutorials you're interested in what kind of videos you want to see. Let me know in the comments below thank you so much you guys.

Leah Bolyard: Love all of your videos! If I lived close to Utah, I'd definitely be coming to your salon! You explain your methods so well. You should do a video of a client with dark hair, who previously had highlights and wants to get a balayage look, getting rid of line of demarcation and making her highlights look more natural!

Vespa Royale: Absolutely beautiful Jessi!!!   I love watching your "work of art".  I currently have a balayage since August but would love to have more of a melt, with brighter blonde "pop" on the ends!  Time to see my stylist :)

Emily Marie: I have a client that wants something exactly like this and I was so nervous because I haven’t done it before and this video made me feel confident!! thank you!! you are so helpful

Nancy Jean: You don't need inspiration I love your videos I wouldn't care if you did 50 blondes in a row - because everyone starts off a different color it's fun to see the transformation - and the products you used !! So glad I found your Chanel

Martina Fears: Thank you for sharing your techniques I love them, they have been so helpful.

Mariah Celine: I absolutely love your videos! You do such an amazing job! I've been behind the chair now for a little over a year and a half now and I feel like I'm stuck in a rut, I don't know if I should leave the salon I'm at or stay and try to keep building before I leave! Your videos definitely give me inspiration and so does your incredibly cute style! :)

Savanna Schiltz: love your balayage tutorials!!

Briley Abbott: I'm not a hair stylist, but I love your videos! I find them so relaxing. Wish I lived closer to your salon so I could book an appointment, I love everything you do!

lizzet castro: Hi jessi I new here , I loved your videos , I loved your flower dress , I'm interested in to see more balayage and color theory , I being watching all you had download Also your salon is very pretty .

Tori White: Love this video! I've been wanting to do a big change to my hair and might have to come back to your salon again to do that !

Jayda Currie: Absolutely beautiful as usual. I expect nothing less from you every single video!!!

Beauty by Joan: I love your videos! I'd love to see an oil slick/fashion color♥️♥️

Yashly Luna: I love your videos! Do more fun color videos. I love watching the blondes, though! Silvers, grays, burgundy, magenta etc. :)

Chloe Buckallew: I loved the outcome and the wet brushes are amazing one of my best friends have one and like omg it's I'd freaking amazing

Christy M: Would love to see a tutorial on how to do beachy waves on a textured lob. Love your videos!!

Aliee Lovee: I am so glad I came across your channel! I love your videos & the way you do hurrr haha. I wish we could be hair besties lmao (: I was hoping you could do a video with a natural level 3/4 (dark brown) to a crazy level 10 icy blonde transformation with pretty brown lowlights & a root shadow or (base bump). I feel like everyone does a base bump on a level 7 or higher & as a brunette (dark brown) I don't know what I can do to lighten my base without it turning orange or what to do when it does turn orange:( Hoping this could be some inspiration. (please use all Goldwell Products, even though you do anyway but just saying lol) Also what do you think of Goldwell Bondpro+ ?

Joy Beard Sunde: Thank you for sharing! Gorgeous job! I love new ideas how about doing a red head balayage? Subscribed!!!

Summer winters: girl I love you and your videos, your channels going to blow up

Niki: awesome!!!! you're the best Jessi!

Alondra Torres: can you film a video talking about how to take the "after" pictures of your clients hair?! Like the positioning and how you tell them to angle their head for the pictures! Getting a good after picture is the hardest part for me! lol

Rachel Burden: Okay, I have a few questions. After you pulled the foils out, there appeared to be lots of harsh lines and then after you toned, it's like poof! Their gone. Idk it might just be the video. It looked so good tho! (I just graduated cosmo school & im very eager to get into the salon) also can you explain how you use all the steps to olaplex/the ph bonder and its benefits?

fruitcakedunlop: love anything blonde related but would love more scalp bleaching videos to match platinum Balayeged ends :)

toriamonkey11: I seriously would love to come to Utah just for you to do my hair !!! Let me find myself there anytime in the future and i will come in!!! I would love to see a sombre hair tutorial, I know you said you would lol but I thought I'd leave the suggestion again you are seriously amazing

Mel Z: You should do a more in depth video in cutting! Like layers. Great video btw much love!!

Gianna: I too never get tired of blonde videos because I feel you always incorporate different techniques and never do 2 blondes the same. I would like to see a buttery blonde and by the way I think you look great as a brunette but I kind of hope to see you back to blonde when I see a new video post! If and when you decide to go back to blonde that would be a great tutorial !!!!! Thanks!!!!!

Sarah Green: I would love to know how long sittings like this take especially with the extensions

Haley marino: You could do videos on basic hair cuts and how to style them. I'm trying to let my hair grow and I'm not sure how to style it in the weird stages. Love your videos!

Iris Hrund Stefansdottir: I would love to see a haircut video from you. I absolutely love your work!

Christina Marie: Always beautiful videos that I learn something from regardless. I would love to see you do color and in depth cut videos but I know the can be long... But how you design cuts with the color basically.

Mary Mercado: heyJessi, i was curious i noticed in a couple of videos where you balayage you leave sections of hair out in between, you don't add any bleach. Is there a specific purpose as to why you do it? Is it maybe so when you put the extensions in, you place them to cover that section of hair, or maybe just for dimension? I love your videos keep up the good work! :)

ellu5: Which hair straightener do you use/recommend? Love your videos!

Leslie Lathrop: Ugh I wish you could help me with my tape ins! I recently got them after watching your videos..lol. And right after I got them put in my hair stylist goes wow that was my first time doing this. And let me just tell you ....they are horribly placed

Sarah VanderWeele: Hey girl, could you do a video (or maybe in one of your Q&A's) on how to go about hiring an assistant and deal with the stress of double booking appts. I'm at 6 days a week with 0 assistance and I'm ready to hire someone for the extra hands but I'm nervous. I'd really love to have your input!

Rouse Rojas: From blonde to brunet video request.Just like the process you did in your own hair please

Evelyn S.: yes all your videos are awesome! I would maybe like to see a transformation. .someone with some gray hair..doing a bayalage on them.

Brooke Bergman: Okay I don't know if you remember me but I met you at the Cotton Salon grand opening in August ! We talked about our love of hats at a food truck you were the nicest! Anyway, totally irrelevant but I would love to see you do a video on blonding someone who wants to keep their natural base!

Katty Rios: bello simplemente hermoso

Mel Z: What do you charge in your salon for the tape in extensions?

drkmgic: hi. how do you prevent the permanent color from bleeding into the lightened ends when you were rinsing the hair. I would hate for the top chic to invalidate all my balayaging.

Claribell Burgos: First Happy Holidays!!! Second, I love your dress, pretty, pretty. Ok you are looking for new ideas, im looking for a tutorial that is not out there yet. At least not the way I want it. Im pretty sure you will get it that way! Im blonde at the moment, as blonde I can be(very light) not brassy, or ugly. I know how to tone it, shampoos ect. I want for my birthday (February) get it a little darker but in a balayage look, leaving the blonde I have at least on the bottom there, and darkening the top. The thing is, my roots are pitch black, dark, dark, dark. What should we do here? Or what video you think you can make, to help this human beings haha. Something kinda like this, http://pin.it/diYV9o0 Love and kisses! Ahh forgot to mention, I have natural curly hair and I don't wear extensions.

Lee Lu: I would like to see people going from blonde to red and browns all levels!

Casper White: A few hair cut videos please, always nice to see how people do their classics, long graduation or bobs etc...You're a star...xx

SprinklesOfChelsea: I LOVE Kevin Murhpy! Maxi wash is my fav.

Autumn Rayne: Jessi are you a natural brunette? Both the dark and light hair look amazing on you!!

Gwynn Mahoney: ur soo good I love your videos

Lexuz Salinas: i just bought the babyliss curling iron today because you sold me on it! lol when you pulled out the beach waver i gasped

Nicky Harty: hadnt a clue how to do a balage until now haha .... this girl has skill x !!

Stacey D M: could you do a few hair cut tutorials please? love the videos

Stelle 2203: from brunette to platinum .... color and cut Q&A.... anyway love your videos!!

Malin Hemer Hair: You should try the dual air blowdryer, special made for hairdresser to avoid injuries in the shoulder. I love it, and just wanted to tip you.

Jenna Ragan: Do you find that the redken ph bond processes quicker than olaplex? I like olaplex but I feel like it takes foorreevverr to get to the lift I need! Thx

One Step Closer: can you do a video base on toners, explaining when to use which one and why.

Sander de Kort: Hi Jessi! Little question for you? Why do u never wear cloves when u are coloring or washing the hair ? I'm a hair dresser from the Netherlands en we have to wear special cloves for washing the hair for or own safety and not to get hairdresser eczema!

mara ioana mihai: Hy,could you make a balayage with different inches of tape on extensions(like 20''and 22'')?

Alyssa K: It's always the best hairstylist that's always far. :(

Valerie Forte: Hi, you can do a video on hair theory.. hair color, cutting or updos? Tips, tricks or just good 'ol theory lol. That would be diff and interesting to watch... Also you should do a LIVE Q&A on your IG one day!! That would be AWESOME!

Jodi Clark: LOVE your videos!! What kind of camera do you use for filming?

Sam Schaap: When you do the the 9T do you only add like a drop of it to your mixture? I think it would be helpful if you said how much of each toner you used. Not that you need to give away all of your secrets!! Lol I just assume you didn't use equal parts because the T's are stronnnnng and scare me a bit to be honest lol so i only use a drop. You are also SO RIGHT about toning at the bowl and not getting the underneath as well. We have to move our clients around sometimes and annoying as it can be to them, it's necessary!! lol. ALSO! Sorry I'm so annoying lol...i talked to the ladies at salon centric about olaplex vs ph bonder and they basically said it's the same thing except the ph bonder is way more cost effective. I'm thinking of just adding it into my arsenal like you did and not completely switching from olaplex bc i do love it! Also, anytime you use olaplex do you send every client home with the olaplex 3 or do you not think its necessary? I factor it into their olaplex price to make sure they take it home. KEEP UP THE AWESOME VIDEOS!

Haley Bays: Could you do a video on what camera you use and tripod and all that extra stuff? And where to get them? That would be awesome!

Kimberly: Hey! I noticed when you started balayage underneath that you didn't put the 4n on the underneath roots. Why is this?

Gwynn Mahoney: what is the name of ur salon? I'm going to dye my hair balayage soon, and you do it REALLY well.plz respond

Mesh Hair: jessi, how much time u usually need for a client like this?

Dante Velasquez: seamless!

Ariel Mundy: what extensions do you use?

Samantha R: House tour, winter outfit ideas, a day in the life

Семь Семь: Hello, your work is very good, some I even repeated forgive silno much like text written with the assistance of an interpreter, my English is not so good, I really would like to see a color balayazh your balayazh short hair. Thank you for your attention and success to you all)))))

Ruth Carabez: I love your dress, where is it from!?

Kimberly Theunstoppable: I love your work. Maybe you could've added a little bit more blonde her hair and you should've added some blonde to her roots. Not all of her roots but some of them it would've added more depth into her hair.

Hannah Jundy: Where did you get your lighting you use? What all are you using in this video? I'm dying to find something lighting wise to

714makeup: Can You do a balayage on someone with brown skin.. I have been wanting for the longest to do a balayage but I don't think that blonde would go with my skin tone? What you recommend

Danikah Smith: GIRRRRLLLLL!!! that outfit!!!

Stephanie Rivera: Can you do a video of balayage in red hair color?

Mariam Masri: Woo first comment. Can't wait to watch the rest of the video :)

Gabriela Sofia: Love your dress, where is it from??

Michele Salazar: A hair color Q&A and hair cutting demo

Ruthy Archila: where is KM available for hairstylist?

Ivy: Grey balayage :o

Lemon K: Was that an I'm pregnant slip!?!

Noelia Jaime: DON'T comb that hair, much less with that comb.Bleached hair is so vulnerable, especially while the bleach is still on.I would not recommend this.

stephanie c: Horrible blend before extensions

Mel Z: Third comment ☺️
