I excuse the way I look. I just got back home from work and I decided I'm gon na cut my hair. My hair is I've got a lot of it. Um it's a very thick, very curly like the is thick anyways um. I just want to record this little section mostly for myself. I just want to say I've had such a journey with my hair, like I've done so many things to my hair before and then I discovered the curly girl method so did sit on like being natural and keeping my head natural, I loved curly hair. I love natural hair. I love big hair. However, I think I've been a curly girl for, like I don't even know, maybe like over five years. It'S fun I've learned to Law. It'S helped me with all other aspects of my life and being like more holistic and what I put in my body on my body. So I appreciate curly hair and I appreciate the curly hair community and stuff like that. Wow, however um, if your curly girl or if you have the kid you have Cole's hair, you have curly, you know how much time and if it takes to tame this every day and honestly, it's tiring, it's time-consuming. You know at times like your neck hurts and you get headaches because, just like the weight of it is actually a lot. I'Ve been wanting to actually shave my head for a long time like many years. I just haven't because I've let people get in my head about it like I won't look good or I have a weird-shaped head like I think, that's my biggest fear truly, so I decided I'll just cut it short yeah. I'Ve just decided that it's time for it to go because I have it tied up and a bun or slicked back in a bun or braided all the time, just because I don't like it in my face anymore, it doesn't bother me before, but now it does. Yeah I'm gon na cut it. I'M gon na record me cutting it just cool. I kind of want to see my reaction, like I wonder if I'm gon na get sad or if I'm gon na cry, I would like to know so. Yeah, I'm gon na go and cut this off and then we'll see what I look like at the end of this bye. Wish me luck. Okay, I'm just gon na stop doing this, so I've got like hair ties and I got these little rubber band. Hair ties. Cuz, I thought it would be easier to just like cut it off in chunks and then I've got scissors. I have these fancy scissors, these fancy cutting scissors and then just in case I'm feeling like adventurous. I also have a razor anyways. Is that what it's cold? It'S cold anyways, as you can see. I look so messy when my hair's like this and my head cuz. I look crazy all the time, so I'm just gon na get into this. I have no idea what I'm doing. I'Ve really done. So. Okay, I'm just gon na cut. I definitely know I want the bottom to be super short, the top I'm not sure about yet so I'm just gon na section it and if I move away from the camera, I'm sorry, but I'm really doing so. I have to get close to the mirror dude. I have like no idea what my head shape looks like and I think that's like my biggest concern like. I truly can't see my head shape because my hair is so thick like. Okay, I'm just gon na put this up a spreadsheet for later see. This is like the struggle I have so much, I'm assuming like the first time I cut my hair, it's gon na look really bad and then once it grows out. Oh, this is so much yeah. This is like so much hair and like this is only one section. Oh my god, that's crazy! Oh my god. That'S weird that feels weird. Okay, I'm not gon na think about too much anyways. I wanted to my god beam. I actually left handed so this is really awkward for me. Anyways um. I wanted to donate my hair, but I have dyed it so many times that I don't think I can't donate it anymore, because it's not virgin here a little rat proofing. I'M gon na keep the sections longer. I want to cut them just because you can always cut off the ball, but you can't stick your hair back yeah. I think I'm crazy and everyone, my friends would be so mad at me bro. I can't believe how much hair I have. I don't know how many times I'm gon na say that in this video, but like my hair is so I've like had a point with my hair now, where it's just like. I mean you've been through so much together and I appreciate you and I'm pretty sure like I haven't sustained serious head injuries, because my hair is so thick and I think it protected me from like hot and tax well, I thought I was gon na be a Little emotional, but here I am laughing at myself - that's how I'm not attached to my hair, okay and now I'm left with this. I literally look crazy right now. This is like the worst thing is. I need to take my glasses off, so I can actually cut my hair. I can't see so I probably should have got someone else to do this to me. Okay, oh, no, wait! Let me assist my head shape right. Okay, oh my god. I can't believe I'm doing this. Okay, I've got like one of those. I don't know what these are called, but number five: okay, okay, okay, I feel like I need to cut it with scissors a little bit more and then I'll trash. Oh, oh, my god, my hair, I'm just trying to figure out with my halo, lay flat just because, like I said it's so thick, I just want to see if I can actually go I'll go here, my eyes, God. So I think I'm just gon na leave. It I'm gon na shower and style it and see how I feel and then, if I need a couple cotton wool, but this is what we're working with. Currently, I feel like Elvis, I feel like a little boy but yeah okay, so that last clip you saw was the 9th of January and today is the 9th watch. So it's already been two months since I got my hair. I just wanted to quickly come here and talk about a couple of things about my little journey. My hair grows incredibly fast, so I only had it like. I had in that last clip for like two weeks before I cut it, and then I decided to go and get it cut again at a barber shop, and I didn't love that just because I've been doing my hair since I was like in high school being, Like cutting and dyeing my own here since I was in high school and so like, I'm really particular about how I like things, it ain't it, that's not, it was not it. So I did not like that experience. So I'll probably just continue cutting my own hair and, like hopefully, not do a bad job. So you have I've cut my hair, like maybe three times since that first big chop, video I'll put like pictures hair. If I know how to edit. If I don't, then these are just my hands. I wanted to quickly talk about my experience with having short hair, so I would just want to say that I love it. I love having yeah, I love waking up with a short hair and, like you know, even though short hair looks like it's low maintenance, it's not necessarily low maintenance, because my hair is really curly and it's really thick. So I can't just like just leave it alone. I guess well actually, at this length it looks okay when I leave it alone. I like put like a picture or something here um from the other day, and it looks really cute like it tries to curl up but yeah I've. Just during these two months. I'Ve just been trying to figure out like how I like how am i he likes to be styled and what kind of products it likes and stuff like that. So it's being like a very experimental time, I will say that much even in terms of like my style and how I do eye makeup, it's being like a very experimental period of my life and I'm I'm enjoying it. It'S like really fun um, like I feel really inspired. I feel like inspired to try any things and like try like yeah, I'm just like it's that's fun, I'm having fun with it. I think I'm gon na keep my hair short for as long as like I can, I'm not. I don't want to grow it out anytime soon. Someone asked me last week if I miss my hair at all, and I absolutely just don't like I never think about it, um I just never think about it like sometimes when I see girls with like curly hair, I'm like oh, it's so cute but, like I Appreciate I appreciate it for them. You know what I mean like, even if I like look at old pictures of myself with my head, just like. Oh that, like that was a cute moment that was cute yeah, but like I'm, I'm not gon na grow it out. Anytime soon, like I'm just gon na, be real with that, since I'm loving this experimental time in my lives um. If I did choose to grow my hair out, it would solely be for like trying out new styles and stuff and I'm really excited to have a mullet. I'M gon na have a mullet one time like it's gon na happen, I'm really excited so right. Now I'm happy with where my head's at I'm happy yet with like with this length and with the style, I think it's like cute and fresh and classic, and so I think I'm gon na keep it at this length for like a while um right now, I'm Just kind of figuring out like what products I like and like what techniques I like and what style I like, so I'm still like dabbling still playing around figuring things out, but I I don't have any complaints with my hair right now. Um, I'm just loving it. I think everyone should just cut all the hair off once in their life, especially girls. You know you wanted. You know. You'Ve had those moments we you were just like. I want to cut all my hair off. Maybe don't do it when you like feeling crazy, but when you've like thought about it and like I don't know, I made a decision, I definitely recommend cutting your hair like at least once cut it all off. Um - and I did want to say, like I've always wanted to short - have always wanted to like shave, my head, but that day that, faithful day on the 9th of January 2020, I was just at work and while I was at work, I just decided at work. I'M just gon na go home and cut my hair, like I like, I said I had always thought about cutting my hair, specially like having a pixie cut or like a buzzed cut. But that day I just kind of decided on the spot to just come home and cut my hair, like I really had no reason I just wanted to like. I just I didn't understand why I still had my long hair because I hadn't enjoyed it for a long time. I just don't want it anymore, like I wasn't having fun with it like. I was. I think it's just like. I said I'm just down to experiment right now, I'm having fun with it. So that's essentially all I wanted to say I just wanted to like close this out, so it wasn't like a weird video of me just cutting all my hair. I just want to say thanks for watching this video and if you made it like this far into the video, because I I'm expecting it to be a long one, I just want to say you were real one. I had a chin length layered cut and then just straight up went a #2 on the clippers on the sides and left it long on top. For over 2 years I experimented with it when it grew, experimented with color too! It was hella fun. Now I’m growing it out and got an awesome MULLET after 6 months! Loving it! I wear it curly and cut myself bangs to enhance the mullet look some more! Can’t wait to see your updates ♥️

Florencia Colella: Hahaha I really can relate with you. Right now I am in a pixie/mohawk stage and, like you say, I'm having a lot of fun with this experiment. My hair is curly and thick like yours, although I may have a little less of it. I am able to put it in a ponytail (which was the reason I cut it in the first place, but you know, one day you hate it and the next day you miss it), but all of the stuff in the back of my head and the sides is GONE! And I'm so glad! I feel the top is all that matters right now, so that's all I'm leaving on my head. I'll probably change my mind though. In your case, I like this 20's one you have now, but I wish you would grow the mohawk out a little bit and play around with that stage. I feel it has a lot more to offer to us curlies. I had a pixie at one time and spent so much time with a large barrel curling iron correcting my awkward curl pattern.
