So with today's video excuse me, i have my friend aaliyah, a good good friend of mine. She'S super awesome, super amazing. She texted me or not even texting me. She posted on her instagram story that she wanted to cut her hair and she basically was like any of my hairstylist friends, better hurry up because it's going to be gone. So i sent her like the looking eye. Emoji like what's good and she was i'm ready to cut it, so i was like when you trying to do it. She was like asap. I'M like. Are you free today, which was yesterday friday? She was like yeah, so she stopped in, and this is the before. I don't even know i gave you all that long backstory like that, it's literally six in the morning, it's saturday and surprisingly, i have this video edited super early. So shout out to me so aaliyah came in um. Her hair has just been um. It'S her hair is like neutral, but it's not thriving as good as it was i'm only because she's had um she's had it pressed out by like the dominicans, and we just feel as though it kind of like got a little bit of heat damage from that. And then just like added stress, it was just like some short pieces in there, so you guys know elia loves to cut her hair, so she was like you know what i'm just ready to cut it. So i'm like, are you sure she was like yeah, i'm like all right girl? Let'S do it so here she is. I literally recorded an intro to this, but it just looked really crazy in the salon, but i honestly had no idea what style cut we were doing she pretty much lets me freestyle she'll, give me her vision and tell me like hey. I want this, don't want that, but overall she's, like do your thing, i trust you and that's one of the reasons why i really love her her because on some real stuff, a couple years back when i first started doing shortcuts aaliyah was maybe like my third Or fourth shortcut ever and to be honest, i had never learned how to use the clippers in beauty school. That was my fault due to me trying to be fresh and flirt with some young men, and i just missed that whole message, because every day i was trying to flirt my little bill and you know so: don't fumble your education or your bag. Okay, when it comes to these guys, get your education first talk to these later, so basically, um aaliyah was just like yo a couple years ago. I did a shortcut on her and she was just like. I trust you do your thing and i'm like aaliyah, i'm not really comfortable. Like. First of all, i don't really do short hair um. We did like a cut color. It was red. I had like a picture in this video somewhere, but it was really cute for the moment and she really just believed in me, and i just felt like at that time - that's kind of what i needed. That was like the extra push that really accelerated both of us, and i just really love and appreciate her for that. I don't even know why i'm giving you guys such a freaking backstory but aaliyah is super amazing, she's, the type of friend where she's like do it. I believe in you worst case scenario, is just hair like it'll grow back where i'm more like. Oh, my god, like i've, never done this before. Are you sure like? I don't want to be testing it out on you, but it's like you got ta get out your comfort zone sometimes, and she kind of makes me do that so shout out to you girl. I appreciate you, i love you you're amazing, you're, awesome, your vibe is everything she's, just a genuinely good person inside out, and that's why i keep her around like aaliyah is just one of a kind like there will never be another so make sure if you haven't Already you hit that subscribe button, you follow me. So here i am just going in i'm cutting her hair all off. You guys already saw that, and now i'm just going in with my clippers. I got these little clippers from like sally's like five or six years ago. Um, you can also get them at cosmoprof or online. There are walls, um clippers and i just went in with the four guy. Then i went in with the three and then i eventually went in with the two and then i am going to go in and cut her hair a little bit lower with the shears just making sure that everything is married in unison. Again, i didn't really know what i was doing. I just kind of do what my heart tells me: we wanted to compliment her natural waves, her natural curls, as well as her gorgeous face like aaliyah, has a drop dead gorgeous face super model, face it's giving like life-size barbie um, so we just wanted to go Ahead and just do something that will compliment her, it looks super feminine, yet sexy and then, when she can get up and go at home, it'll be super flawless. So here you just see me going in. I'M literally just focused, i'm perfecting the cut we're in here. Geeking we're having a really good time and for once you will actually see other people in the background of my video, so a little bit of backstory on that i had to cancel on wednesday because for some reason, the bus drivers at my school, my kids school, Decided to quit or something happen, so i end up having to leave early on wednesday to get my kids from school, which is around three and i had a client scheduled for 4 30.. My 4 30 is super cool she's in my close friends shout out to you shakira and shayan says also my close friend. So what i did was i was telling shakira who was on wednesday. I said: look if you want. I can take you another day or, if you're really trying to come in on friday, like i can do friday, but is it okay? If i work you with my other client and they were like yeah girl, i don't care what you do like. I already know you operate as long as you do, my hair, that's cool, so you will actually see for the first time ever somebody else in the room when i'm doing another person, but that was intentional and i had aliyah here i had shantae and i also Had shakira they're all the vibe they're, all under close friends, i brought some roscato or aliyah, actually ran to the store for me, got riscotto so shout out to you. She literally is just so clutch like i texted her. I was like yo. Can you come in this time she was like yeah, i can come and i'm like, oh while you're out, can you grab this? She was like yeah like no questions asked, and i would literally do the same for her. So again. I just want to shout out how amazingly it is so once we cut her hair all off to a good starting point. I got like my general shape in i did go to the shampoo bowl and i shampooed her. I did a moisturizing a deep cleanse and i also did a stimulating shampoo only because she had a little bit of dandruff in her scalp, which is normal due to the temperature and also just because she's had her hair in her natural style for a while. So i did treat her hair then after i was done, i'm going to go ahead and which you see here, i'm just going in and refining the cut a little bit more cutting off some little pieces that i just feel like. I need to take down and then i am going in with some influence: honey almond foam, wrap in a framework spray bottle, i'm just making sure that our hair saturated still moist and then i'm just going to go in with the foam, wrap and mold her. Once i mold her, i did ever stay under the dryer for about 20 minutes, while shampooing my client and then once i'm taking her out. I am going to go in with the clippers yet again just to go really low. She wanted her hair super low and aaliyah knows how i am, but i was just like. Are you sure like? Are you sure? Are you sure she was like girl? Just i don't want to be able to do my hair, like i'm, like alright sis, so once we're done, i'm literally just going in with those same exact wall clippers and i'm going to go in and just take down any little pieces of hair, and just some Of that thickness in the top of her hair, her hair is a little bit more full towards the top. So we just wanted to make sure that everything has a nice blend and it's laying the way that it needs to. Once i'm done this, i am going to go back in and remold her just around her edges and then i'm going to just clean up her hairline and around her ears and the sides of her neck. So um, oh i'm in the garage i'm already tripping over stuff, so i'm just going to let this play out. This is pretty self-explanatory. I'M sorry! If i'm stumbling like it's literally super early in the morning, all the kids are here it's a snow day. I was actually supposed to go into work at eight, but it's literally like snow everywhere, so that's not happening, so this is pretty much how it looked now, i'm just going in and refining the baby hairs and then i'll show you guys. Yes after that friend, so i was just going and channeling that you guys know i'm a 90s baby. I was born in 92, so i will be 30 in september and this was just giving like 90s essence: 90s vibes 90s, like low-key, trying to slay but not slaying too hard.
