Hey friends, I hope you guys are having a good day today, so I'm really excited I'm gon na try something absolutely brand-new that I have never done before. I am going to try to do a super spiky hairdo today, I'm thinking of kind of keeping the front going down and then trying to get kind of going through all the back and the top spiky. So wish me luck. We'Re gon na try this new hairdo and we'll see how it goes. Okay, so I'm going to start by spraying my hair with this Amica Brooklyn bombshell. This is a blowout spray and basically this is a heat-safe high volume supposed to mist it on damp hair roots. To end section by section and then blow-dry, I really like this Amica brand. Of course, this is not sponsored or anything. I just have tried several different kinds. For instance, I've used the undone Amica brand and they also have a really good dry shampoo. So yes, this is a great brand and I haven't used much of this, so we're gon na try this out today and see if it works with the spiky hair to do so. I'M gon na go ahead and spray, my hair just getting it in there. Okay, now another thing I'm going to use the brush I'm going to use today the brush I'm going to use today is this Conair brush. I picked this up at Walmart the other day. This is like a blow-dry styling brush, but it's got a really small barrel. I can tell you this is not great for like curling blow-drying it for some reason. Maybe it's just my hair consistency, but it just gets stuck. My hair gets stuck, so I find this is just really good by being able to brush it out this way. So I'm going to just do a quick brush through here and I'm gon na go ahead and start blow drying. So this is the Winston blow dryer that I have. I will link it in the description below and let's get started. Okay, so um, as you can tell, I didn't, really have a rhyme or reason for how I was blow-drying it, but I really tried to blow-dry it from the back going forward and just making sure I get a lot of volume in my hair so just to Make sure it doesn't look already I'm going to just do a quick comb through and while I'm doing that, um it's going to tell you about my week. I if you watched last week's video, I did travel and I went down to Dallas for about five days. I went on Sun last Sunday and I got back Thursday night so yeah. I was in work mode all week um I had a couple late nights of working and it was a long week. So thankfully you're gon na be watching this next weekend. But thankfully, this weekend I have a three-day weekend because it's Presidents Day on Monday, so I am uh super glad about that. I have a little extra time to relax and recharge. In fact, today is Sunday: do you guys ever have those days where you just want to lay in bed all day that was me yesterday I watched TV all day. I barely did anything we got up and made dinner um but yeah. I was extremely lazy. Probably too lazy, but I needed it so today is gon na be a little bit more of our productive day. I plan on doing my laundry probably doing a little bit of cleaning cleaning the bathrooms and, of course I haven't visited long today. So my plan is, after I film this video to go right next door and have coffee with my mom and just kind of get a nice visit in. So if you didn't already know, I visit my mom every day I go over there. We pretty much have coffee every day and on the weekends I spend a couple hours each day over there and on the weekdays um. I go over there at 7:00 right before work and stay there about an hour so love-love-love my mom. She is amazing and um. Just you know, I don't really have a lot of friends around here, um that I see regularly. I have I have some friends, but I don't see them regularly and my mom is really ends up being the friend that I talk to all the time. She'S she's a such a sweetheart okay. So let's progress with this hairstyle, so I did get a lot of volume from this a blowout spray. It feels like it put some texture in my hair, so that was really good. The next thing I'd like to do is use this. Really. You want to use some kind of clay. I was thinking I was going to use a taffy, but you really want something a little bit harder so that you can work with it to get the spike ease. So I'm using this - I got this quite a while ago, but this is this living proof. Modeling clay and I'm going to just really have not much left in here, but I'm gon na take about that much and I'm going to really work this through my hands to heat activated these clays a lot of these clays are heat activated. So not I'm not talking about heat as in using a blow-dryer heat activated, but it really works better. If you get your hands to warm them, it warm it up. So I am going to just start working this through my hair and it's looking pretty crazy right now, but that is the point right um. What I'd like to do is really flip this back up. So as this is on my hands, I'm really getting a lot of volume on my hair and we show you the back right now I like how this is looking right here on this side, where the back is kind of kind of curling up getting a lot Of height in the back here, the other thing you can do with this front is use a flatiron which i've got heated up right now, so I might just take this flat iron just to get to flatten out the front pieces a little bit y'all. I have never ever done anything like this. This is, it actually is cuter than I expected. We can kind of make these sideburns go a little pointy too. Let me take a look at the back to make sure it's not super crazy. In the back of me, logo, okay, so y'all - I am super happy with this got a lot of volume in the back and the back looks really dimensional like it's got a lot of things going on back there, and usually I've really never done that kind of Styling in the back, where I'm kind of flipping up, but I think it looks super cute you this side. So let me spray this finished. Look with this camera, medium spray. 13. So what do you guys think do you like it? I'M not sure if it suits me, but I think you know if it was like super spike in the front. I don't think I would like it, but since it it's, the spike eNOS is mostly in the back area in the front is a little more tame. I I really like it and I will definitely try this again. Of course you can get a lot crazier in the front, but you guys, if you've watched my videos, you know me. I always like shy away from a little too much height in the front, but I'm really digging this. This is really cute, so yeah. Let me know if you like this and hey, if there's any styles, that you would like me to try in a video just comment on this video and I always see them, and you guys always give me great ideas to try. So you know, pixie cuts are extremely versatile. We can do so many different styles with short hair. I have so much fun doing it. I had so much fun, making these videos and then I have started. You know really kind of breaking the mold of doing the same thing every day and people have come to expect. Oh she's got a different style today, so you guys should try this out. You know, I think the key here was these two products. This Amica brooklyn bombshell really got a lot of volume once I blow dried, my hair and then this clay, whether you use this kind of clay or a different kind of clay, probably best to pick up a clay. If you want this type of style, as you know, there are so many different types of hair products that we can try, there's Kathy's, there's, there's pomades, there's clays, there's sprays and texture creams and all sorts of different kinds of things to use. So I'm sure many of those products would really work with something like this, but I did notice the clay had a bit more consistency that I was able to get this style with. So if you liked this video go ahead and give it a thumbs up, I would love for you to be a subscriber so hit that subscribe button, and if you want to be notified, when my videos do come out, there's a little notification bell. You can tap and it will let you know when a new video comes out, so I hope you have a wonderful week. I will see you next week and have a great one.

Carla B: Your hair always looks adorable, but this is extra cute! I've had a pixie forever and am in awe how creative you get with yours. Definitely inspiring!

Martha Marshall: Love, love this look! This is typically the style that I go to right before I get my haircut when the back of my hair always gets so full! I think it’s suits you well! You have such a cute little quite conservatively sassy personality so I think it helps the inner sassy side that all of us girls have shine! I say this because I’m conservatively sassy as well! I don’t go there often but when I do, I enjoy it and always get lots of compliments! Definitely going to have to try the Amica products and the clay from today! Thanks for sharing and be blessed! ❤️

Martha Dewey: LOVE THIS LOOK - just found you with the "So you have a Pixie, now what?" Video...a fan already...THIS LOOKS AMAZING LOOK ON YOU! (and yes I subscribed)

Rufus99: Love it!! Ive had my pixi for years because of the many styles I can do with this kind of cut.

Christina Jones: Yes! I love this style on you. Keep doing this style when you feel like it, like for going out. It's cute and flirty. I have the same hair clay and I bought it at TJ Maxx for only $7.99 last month, originally it goes for $26 at other stores. Yikes! I wouldn't ever pay that much. So yeah, this hairstyle is so good on you. I love it!

Melissa Callan: This style looks fabulous on you, not wild but sophisticated. It is my favorite. Do it more often.

Gayla Denison: Hello, Really like this style on you! I used to wear my pixe similar to this, however I spiked it a little above my bangs. Mine isn't long enough in the back to spike it. You're so sweet to talk about your mom. Mine just got out of the hospital and isn't feeling good. She's a fighter and has a great attitude and sense of humor . . . that helps!! Have a good week! ❤️

My sister's and friends like my different styles of hair and I tell I watch all your videos and tried to comb my hair the way you comb yours because when I cut my hair I didn't know how to style it. I just wanted to cut my hair because I got tired of using a pony tail all the time. Since I like to watch this app I came to watch you one time and like how style your hair and like it. Thank you very much to give us your time to show how to style different ways to style my pixie hair cut. Thank you Sage. Love your videos from San Antonio, Texas.

CM DC: looks great! I love that you spend so much time with your mom. I live in PHX and my mom is back home in IL. I miss her but we talk all the time on the phone. I noticed you got a little emotional talking about friends. I've lived in PHX for a year now and I work from home so its been hard and I really haven't met any close friends. It makes me sad and I really really miss having connections with other gal pals. I feel you, girl. :) I love your videos and love listening to your chit-chat as it makes me feel a connection... thanks for that! Tina~

Diana McCullough: Your hair is so cuteeeeee. I love the spiking. I think a little spiking on top also would be so cute. Thank you for sharing ♡♡

Evelyn Ruiz: Muy lindo como manejas tu pixie corte, look very nice, thank you for tips,

Keto MC: I’m 57 and a high maintenance chick on a Walmart budget. I love hair and makeup stuff! It would be great to see you use some products that can be purchased at Walmart. I work as a paraprofessional in Special Education at an elementary school (hence the Walmart budget). We are on Spring break this week. My husband, son, and I are going to see our daughter in San Antonio for a few days. Your are so pretty and I absolutely love your haircut and color. Hopefully I can get into see my stylist when we get back home. I’m really enjoying your channel!

kdramaoma: Your style today looks super cute on you. I love that you are close to your mom. My mom is my best friend too but we live 3,000 miles apart so we can only meet by phone, everyday. Any suggestions Keep enjoy your mom my mom lives in a different state i try to see her as much as i can. Can you do a video using hairpins would like to see what u do with them. Have a wonderful weekend/week See you next week

Honeyluvs2craft: So sweet. I miss my mom every day!

Sandy Winger: I love your hair style ❤️

Mayrene Powell: Good for you ,Moms are precious ❤️

Jana Snowdon: Looks great!!! I spike while my hair is wet, then I dry it, or air dry, think I'm gonna look for the blow out spray! Going to look for molding clay. I use spiking glue by got2b. Spiking works best for me, after a hair cut, because once it starts to grow out, spiking doesn't work so well.

Sondra Bowers: Hi Sage, I miss my mom. Waited all week to see you. My pixie is in need of a trim. I like the style, but, I like it better the old way.

Elizabeth Neas: I don’t just like it, I love it!

Rose Krueger: Adorable and so fun

Cissy Brazil: I love it!!

Claire Titus: Looks good. A bit much for my own hair but you got it!!

Fionnuala Murphy: The back is really cute curling up, I used to wear mine like this when my pixy got long. I'd like to see you swooping the front sides swooping back instead of coming forward. Have you tried that. I'd also love at some stage to see you getting an undercut pixy. But I'm not criticising you, You're really pretty and that style suits you well. Hey, I'd love to see a video of you with your mother if she would consent. Its really lovely and caring of you to visit her so often, she's a lucky woman to have such a caring daughter. My mother was really very lonely in the end as we all lived a distance away, Thinking back I'm very sad as I know she sometimes cried with lonliness. She was 92 when she died in 2014. I'm 68 and very healthy

Mayrene Powell: That’s the same thing I do but I use Enjoy dry wax. I love spikey hair or messy

Tom andme: Awww... it's looking so nice on you... good job... I like it very much...

Sandra Sweet: I love it!

Pat Martin: LOVE your videos!!!

Jane Fleet: It's super cute. And it does suit you.

Diane YOUNG: Very cute!!! Have you visited the channel “Sharalees Box of Chocolates”? If you have not check out her channel. She has some awesome hair tutorials for just this kind of style. I do LOVE the Enjoy Dry Wax, and the Root-boost she uses. It makes all the difference in the world, in helping to get this look. Just an FYI for you

Suzanne Deaton: I love your hair like this it is beautiful

Lara Petty: Your hair color is beautiful!

Olivia Soliz: Just cut my hair like yours i will try to do it that way hope i can do it thank you for sharing.

Irene: I love the way you have done your hair I've tried spiking mine too but not very successful I'm afraid I don't really have the hang of hairdressing really I keep trying! But to no avail

6699Jackie: I have worn mine spiky but am growing my pixi out abit at the moment. This look suits you alot though x

Connie H.: SUPER CUTE!

Liz King: love it

Irene Gardner: Just love your hair! (A little off topic here) I LOVE your bathtub! Lol!

Shirley Pedersen: You are so good with your hair. I really wanted to get the Boldify products but they are so expensive.

Katy Hauck: I like your channel! I always learn something

Shanda Horst: I think you would LOVE Pro Design products. Not a seller. Just a professional that uses it ALOT!

Lorene Miller: Ask your mom if she knows what a brush up is. It was popular late 50s early 60s I have been thinking I want to try it if I can find someone to cut it. It goes up in the back and back on the sides. My daughter and Iive next to each other also. I used the fuddy on my hair I think I used to much but it really helped with my fine hair. My daughter and I have coffee everyday too. Blessings....................

Ruth Ranieri: Cute because the spiking is in the back.

Mary Bpyce: Everyone needs to be lazy once in a while. I do.

Mary Bpyce: I too used to have coffee everyday with my mom. We were very close. Unfortunately she has passed away and I miss her. Cherish it while you can

Jacqueline Hoogeveen: Super cute

Mayrene Powell: spikes are great .

Mayrene Powell:
