Ghd V Wonderland : How To Create A Quiff For Pixie Cut Or Short Hair.

How to create a quiff for pixie cut or short hair. You can do this with any hair with short fringe, but I want to particularly show how you can fake a long hair using the quiff and headscarf. The particularly headscarf style taught in the video is a 40s factory girl style (Rosie the Riveter). This quiff style is perfect for vintage, rockabilly or grunge style.

I was using the new GHD V Wonderland Styler gifted to me by GHD.

I also blog vintage at www.norafinds.com - please check it out!

Hi, so this is my first attempt of doing a video tutorial, and this video tutorial is because I just got em ugh there you wan na lie. As you can see, it is very pretty, and I've been using this to do a forklift. If you see in a lumber block - and I thought I'll do a video tutorial so can you can learn how to do it yourself? The gh2 one-line styler comes with a bath and this bag doubles up as a heating mat. So this mat is heat resistant and it's good for you to put your styler while you're doing stuff. So you don't have to worry about it, burning anything and also comes with the cap. So you can put your styler in and make sure that it's protected and two hair clips um, so we're going to start doing the hair. Now, if you have a pixie cut like me, you probably have a side parting. So I keep my side parting here and I just try to do a parting pretty much the same way so doesn't have to be perfect. What I do, then, is use a heat resistant spray now help me keep the parting and also protects my hair against the iron. Obviously I just spray it really quickly. So now you have this bit of hair. What you want to do is focus on the first front bit which is kind of like half or a bed of the hair, so I'm keeping it with a clip right now. Turning on my GHD and it heats up really quickly. So it's perfect for those morning's where you are in a rush. If you're like me, you're always in a rush, it heats up really quickly. It has this lovely curves to it, so that noise means that it's ready. It has this lovely curse on me. So it's perfect for straightening and also curly. What I do is I start with this bit, which is a bit tricky, because obviously there is a bit short, but this is what I knew make sure that your hair is dry. When you do this, so you couldn't, you can start seeing the color. So what I do is I just follow the natural shape of the gauge stay and that's enough to be perfect to start with, and I do that with all the front one front men. So I were bit by bed just following the curves of the styler you can kinda start seeing to quit. Then the tricky bit is getting all the short hair cold properly, but don't really work like. I don't really worry about that, because I i style my clothes with a headscarf and I'll also show you how to you do this hell. Let'S cover and I do the headscarf 40 style, so you could see that it's start doing the quiff. So once you get that curl try to call a bigger portion at once, and it's quite easy really. This is also good for when you're doing like rockabilly style, so just keep doing that and you can, you can keep you can keep spraying your hair just make sure to keep it healthy. Obviously so now I'm using so now, I'm kind of gathering the front bed and curling it at once. The key is to make sure that you call the sides towards Center. So now you have this square and you want to make sure that it's kind of tucked in so you can fake. You can fake having a fringe when you really only have a pixie. So that's pretty much air. Now, I'm releasing this headache dope. I don't often curl this bit as well, because it's going to be hidden by the headscarf, but if you want to make it a bit bigger, you can just pull the head towards the front and following the front fringe, you can just curled it nicely just to Make it a bit thicker so now you have this, I don't know if you can see it, but now you have this and what I do is pretty much that with the styler. What I do is I use in hair spray and I hold it together. Kinda, just like that, hold it together and just spray really gently making sure that the sight of hair spray, also so you know, will always be. You know a bit of small hair that don't get cold because it's your shot. You know what that's fine, it's good enough, so make sure your hair spray, and now you can see that the quiff is pretty much done so now I'm going to teach you how to do the head scarf forty style, so you basically have a scarf and you Want to fold it in half once you fold it in half, it might still be a bit too big. So try try doing it against your head to see whether or not it is too big, because what you want is a little bit left in the front. So you want to do that so if it's too big just make sure you fold it a bit like that, I usually fold it twice, because I use this stuff all the time. I know how big it is, so you want to hide that you're going to hide the foot before what you need to do. Is this I'll prep, it's probably better for me to show it rid of it say it so you and a half that there just behind your fridge behind your craft, so you want to hold it. While you tie that it's not going to be perfect as long as you've got the tail or what I call the tail in and then you want to make sure you tie it, you secure it. So now you have to tail here and what you want to do is tie it. So you want to put pull the tail back and tie this all the girl tail. So I'm just tidying up a bit, so you want to pull this so it has. This left overs that break you want to tie this and you want to tuck it in. You want to tuck the other side in this one, and I find that sometimes it just kind of just kind of moves around a bit. I always cheat and use pins. So what I do is, I make sure I pin this where I tuck the fabric in and what and voila what you need to do is just kind of roll it a bit in roll the fabric so yeah, so I'm just going to hairspray it again. Now I usually pull it and pull it over yeah and voila forties hairstyle with a full wife. Wasn'T that easy? Well, I hope that was easy. If you have any other questions, just comment, and let me know what you think and maybe I'll do another tutorial all right.

Nicole Gaspar: So - holy WOW. I am absolutely in LOVE with your accent. For your first video, your presence is fantastic!  I'm a bit jealous of your styler. I've used my trusty CHI flat iron for the last 10+ years. No joke. I worked in a hair salon and it was the "IT" product back in the early 2000's, so I've just stuck with it. I've only replaced it once... but this Wonderland styler is really tempting! "It's a bit expensive compared to other ceramic irons", so says the single mother :P Have you used any other stylers that you can compare it to? I love the safety feature and it's contoured edges made for curling (so it says on the site, anyway.)  AND HOLY MOTHER - the color. Gorgeous touch, on their part. My hair is SO long that I'm not sure I can copy your look. I'd be better off with pin curling, spraying, and teasing - but, your end result with that Wonderland iron is really adorable! It looks to quick and easy!!! Thank you for the video Nora!

Ana Reinert: Your 60s hat is perfect for an Easter Parade. The NYC Easter Parade is the perfect place to show it off.
