Expert Wig Wearer Picks 10 Wigs She Doesn'T Own Yet (Official Godiva'S Secret Wigs Videos)

Hi everybody, i'm rochelle, the mother of the mother-daughter team of godiva's secret wigs, and am i honored to have debbie today, because i know you've been watching a lot of the videos that i did at a big wig party and debbie is the one that instigated the Whole thing sent me pictures of all the women, but she magically didn't get on the video, so i've got you today. So thank you for being here and so love it today wait. I want to ask before we get going so you wear wigs or pieces, both okay, toppers toppers, okay, a long top! Do you have one in right now, no, okay, sometime, i'd love to show how you do your top piece. Debbie has a way of braiding it and if you go on our website and see massive masses of client pictures, your the back of you is showing you sent one in and it's awesome. So today we are doing 10, wigs that debbie has picked and but she's never tried them and i really haven't even looked close at what they are. So i think we'll start from short to long, and these are all kind of medium browns right around there. But all different lengths, i know debbie owns quite a few of our wigs and your wig wear. You wear lots of different wigs, but sometimes they're, not the right ones, and so she has been returning some and i just said. Okay, i'm just tell me what you want and i'm gon na bring it back. So that's what we've got today, you ready i'm ready. So how is your hair okay, so this look has to come out. So how do you like to prepare your hair? The same way you do: okay, the bun download pony whoops, oopsies and um, so it works for you yeah. You see how thin it is, though, look at my thin out, then i've lost so much hair. Well, i'm losing a lot of hair too, and i don't know, but i'm going to be doing a video on stress and hair loss, because illness stress when our lives are crazy. We feel out of control. It'S i've been taking hair out like this debbie out of the shower and all day, i'm watching tv and it's like i'm unconsciously doing it so you're, not alone, okay, so we are starting with peggy the shortest in sugar cane, and so we would love all your Comments too right and i don't know you know you put your wigs on. Maybe i should keep my hands off today. What do you think? I don't know i like it when you pull around okay, so do you wear them wigs behind your ears, or i want to see what you? What would you do with this wig? So the bangs come long and that's for a reason, and you know you can trim the bangs, you can trim the length, i mean i'm wearing harmony and some clients trim it all the way up to here you know so don't feel bad if you think. Oh, i have to trim a wig that it's to customize the wig for you, so the wig's like the starting point, i've trimmed amongst all of my. Have you, okay, yeah. That'S cute really cute! So this color sugar cane, really pretty this - is sugar cane r and so for godiva's secret. Wigs the r means root. Yeah, i like it yeah will you look down just a minute? I just want to show them. So it's darker at the root. Okay and that's really realistic. Looking i like the color on you yeah, it's comfortable yeah and the back. It'S just a clean short little cut. That'S way, cute! Aha, i like the short little pixie styles. So do you wear a bang normally or you like it? Sometimes i i like it off my face with uh. If i have a lace front, then i would wear it back and off, but okay um but yeah. I wear beans either or i don't know so. This is a bang. You would definitely cut a little bit. Yeah yeah, and so do you what happens when you need to trim? Are you trimming on your own okay and were you scared in the beginning, or were you a beautician? No, i just i've been cutting my own hair for many many years. Okay, anyway, i started cutting hair. Probably when i was a kid of my neighbors, i gave that her son's haircut, so i've been doing it a while wow good leslie's yeah. It looks really great. It'S flattering and it's a little fuller here. So you are trim here and a little long, and this just fills you out so lift shoe. I like that. I, like it yeah it's very cute, yeah, okay and by the way, debbie debbie is a really experienced wig wear. So if you have any tips well, you are well not since. Well, since probably february march, i started out with toppers okay and then i grew into wigs as my hair continues to thin. Okay, because it's getting harder for the toppers to stay in place. Okay, so i've gotten more into wearing the wigs okay but yeah. I don't know if i'm super experienced, but all right, i'm pretty you're good, pretty new. You know even newman. You have if any tips come up that you want to share. There are a lot of women that are scared of wigs or have never tried or put one on, and so any tips if you have come up with anybody anything just i like the white rippers with my wigs, but now this one feels really secure this one Fits really nice good, so i don't even know that i would need a wig grip with this one. Okay, so yeah, i like it way: cute okay, let's go to number two meg in mochaccino, so up at the hairline and even the tabs. So you have a little on the smaller side forehead, so i'm taking it up a little higher from your hairline, because you won't even see that so just for all of you to see, if i put it right down at debbie's hairline, it's just it's too small. So that's the beauty and the illusion of wigs. So just take it up just a little bit and now we made the illusion that debbie's forehead's bigger higher, so you play - and i have my water because i didn't know if you like it peacier or that kind of wet look, that's cute too. It is cute. It is cute again it's really comfortable yeah and so we're not brushing our wigs we're not having to style our wigs because they come this way. It is cute and i do like the color mochaccino. I like it too. So how would you describe this color? Is it in the brown family? Yes, with highlights yeah there you go it's a medium. It'S a medium brown and the interesting thing about mochaccino it's very popular color is that it's got warmth to it, but it also has a little cool blonde, which i like so would that make it more neutral? Yes, okay, so it can go either way. So many women write me their concern. Well, what colors should i be in? What is warm and what is cool, and i do understand for some people they want that distinction, but it's also fun to have wigs and your makeup, like you've got great makeup. You'Ve got color on your cheeks. You'Ve got your eyebrows, your lipstick, so you have a lot of dimension to your face. So when a client's putting a wig on or say you order a wig, it gets to your home. Please have some makeup on. Have your eyebrows and your lipstick, your you know, contouring or how you're going to wear the wig? If you're not going to wear makeup, then then don't but it's the the colors are pulling to your eyebrows. They'Re flattering on your skin tone. So mochaccino goes all different ways. I like it. I like it a lot. So can i just show you if i spritz it, i just want to spritz. This is just water and i just want to show you if you wanted to make it piecier, not that you need to and we're not even taking a brush. To this i mean so cute meg is like i'm messy and i love it. Look that's way cute. So i just want to see if we put it behind your ears. Let'S just look so even though you have a little gray. Debbie has a little gray here, like a lot of us. Do that's natural even on our own hair color, so to not be afraid to show that little gray, it looks natural and you can always throw just a little piece down, so that is meg. I like her. I like me, really cute, really cute yeah. Okay, all right, we got two winners. Yes, we do look at this. Okay, number three tammy because you've been saying: curly, yeah tammy spring honey, so i'm not gon na shake it too much because i know i don't know i i haven't seen you in a curly wig. I wear a lot of curly ones. You do okay, you should see the one i got, i'm showing pictures later. Okay, so you do your thing with it and then i'll play so always up at the hairline everybody right up here and then even the tabs make sure those little hard curvy tabs are even otherwise the wig is going to sit crooked on your head, see i've Only seen you smooth, you know your hair, smooth and whatever, so i have a brush, if you it now, this color spring honey. So it's a beige blonde and debbie can wear a lot of colors, and so can a lot of people is the real truth. So many of you say: oh you and danielle, it looks every wig looks so natural, but it's more our attitude, because people are walking around with all kinds of hair short, long damaged, fried, and so you know be who you want to be wear which you want To wear right, debbie, let's see tammy yeah, okay yeah! I could get her home and fool around with her see i like watching you do your thing with it. So you take it away, leave a little wispy bang and see how debbie is just playing with her fingers most times with our wigs. Do you use a brush, sometimes not always all right yeah? So it's here, if you want it - and i guess it just depends on the wig, you know. Okay, if you have a lot of curls, you don't want to brush them out right right now, yeah i like her. It'S going to be hard to just it is cute. So what do you think about the colors, i'm not sure about the spring honey? I think it's a little, maybe too warm. For me. I go a little back a little bit towards the mochaccino's style. Okay, i like it a lot yeah i like it for curly, i i like the sides, and so i want you all to as you're watching, especially if you're a new wig wear the wigs that i'm bringing to show debbie that we're putting on they were pulled From our corporate office just like it would be pulled for you, these wigs have not been trimmed altered. Styled brushed sprayed nothing. They are all coming to debbie via me, just as they would get shipped to you. So i want you to see how debbie and i are working with the wigs. I like her a lot okay, i do too okay, let's keep going and then we'll we'll see if there's any babies and then we'll put them on again and talk. Okay, i've got four okay number four tyra tyra iced mocha, so you haven't tried, i smokey yet a little deeper. I have taylor and i smoke. Oh, oh yes, oh look! Oh, can i play for a minute. I love the color and i've done nothing. I mean we've done nothing, so i don't know i have a thing about behind one ear with a cute earring, and i love this it's cute too. What do you think i mean? I love the blondes. I love the brown, so this is deeper than the mochaccino and i'm seeing can you lean in just a little bit and turn your head a little bit. I just want you to see everybody look at the colors in iced mocha. Thank you all right. You play yeah, that's cute too. I feel a definite, bigger, wig wardrobe. Oh gosh, is this my husband, you know it might be poor. You know what debbie i tell the husbands forget the boring flowers and candy, get gift certificates for wigs and and then you're married to all these women. Oh he's so good. He just lets me do what i want he's been amazing. So how was he at the beginning? Was he apprehensive? Did you have a conversation about this, but then he saw that i seriously did have some issues going on with my hair has been he's just been amazing really so you didn't have to have that. Will you support me in conversation? Well, not at all he's just he's just he's one in a million okay. Well, thank you joe. I know he's the best tyra. This is great, i have to say so far and my opinion doesn't really count because it's not on my head, i, like you in the little smoother versus the little curlier myself, it looks youthful, it looks sporty and the the playing that you've been doing is great, But i don't think it was even necessary. It'S just a lot of times we're so used to spending time on our own hair that we think it takes 10 minutes, but really it was. It was great. I love it. Yeah, oh brother. Well, you picked them. So you picked really well and i totally cute huh, really cute really cute. I have to say i love the little blonde, so i'm seeing the wigs creep up on you, and so i would your wig grip. I would wear a grip with this one. Can i grab your wig grip band just so you can show everybody. Sorry! I went in front of you. Can we just take this off a minute so especially your new wig wears or if you haven't seen a wig grip band here - is debbie so you're putting the logo next to your hair logo and you made a pony like i do you have less hair, but You put you uh velcroed it right over the pony, okay, great and then so. How about put that right back on tyra, so you're not doing anything special? Are you putting the wig lower at your forehead? Yes, like we normally do yeah that really secures it on. Okay, so do you wear a wig grip band every time here, most every time, okay, yeah, but now with those first two i probably wouldn't have to okay. But it's good to have a wig grip band, absolutely all right and what size do you wear average petite? You wear petite, okay, yeah, okay, and you know they give you a facelift yeah the tiger. You make it in the back uh eyes, boys up. That'S sensational to me: it's youthful, it's natural, it doesn't look perfect and this is tyra tyra, iced mocha, oh yeah. We love you tyra tyra's, a wig. We don't show very often i you know it's just hard to cover every single wig but love it. It'S really cute yeah. Okay, let's keep going take this off and if you want, we can leave your wig grip on whatever you like. Okay number, five chantelle, you chose it and i love it. Maple sugar! I don't remember chantal. Well, okay: go right ahead, have you put it on and i do have a chantel here? I think in mocaccino. What color is this one? This is maple sugar and you haven't tried a maple sugar. Yet doctor it's hard to see. This has a bang. Is this more like a bob? Yes, yeah, it's a really classic simple style see. I wish i could wear this style, but i'm just this is a style that i i have to get used to, and i just not sure if it's me, but it's really cute. I just don't know if it's on me, it is cute, i'm not flipping for it yeah. I i think it's cute. I think anything would look good on you, but what i'm looking at is. Is it flattering? What do i like, like? I like the color, but if i had to compare with the others, i'd be picking the iced mocha or the mochaccino. Oh i just. I don't think i have the headshot it's kind of dragging you down, yeah, okay, so we got it but chantal. I love it. On everybody, it is a great wig, so let me just for those of you that want to see chantal, i'm going to show you too and oh see. Now it's darling on you, but now see i have a much rounder face than you and so a lot of you wonder. Okay, with my face shape, so you can see the difference with chantal. That'S darling and i love the color. It'S more ashy. Isn'T it um maple sugar there's, there's some warmth to it, but it looks like it's neutral. Yes, it's got a lot of color, so i love that color maple sugar, but you know what too debbie i have a high forehead, and so i think that's a difference. I think this kind of overpowered you and i don't think you need all this hair yeah where on me it looks way cute it it's cute, but i the others were so much more flattering for you. I think okay, bye, bye for now chantelle. Okay, let me throw my wig on quickly. This is too fun. I said this is too fun how many people around the world would like to have this opportunity? Well, let her know come and fly to st george utah, and you can do this with me too, and we'll bring debbie over too okay next, we have okay, julia lace, front in vanilla bean r, so a lace front, i'm gon na show you not sure. If you can even tell that there is a little lace real little bit, it's not to cut it's not to trim like some other companies. It'S ready to go and a lace front is a beautiful wig. You want to be gentle with the lace front, and so this is the way it comes kind of flat. I'M just going to put it on you this way, so we can all see where we're starting. So i want you to see the lace front as i back it up wow. This color is amazing yeah, that's your color yeah wow. What would joe say now very interesting because i don't normally. I don't think i've ever seen. You blonde like this, but with the deeper root with that color, vanilla, being r r means the roots. Okay, i like it vanilla beans so in vanilla bean r, the contrast from the root with your eyebrows. That'S the beauty of the root. So, instead of just a full blonde wig the roots are matching with debbie's eyebrows and it just pulls other colors of her skin. That is a whole other. Look. It'S cute. I love the color. I love the color. Isn'T it interesting? Do you own blonde? Wigs, okay, yeah, i like the font, do you ever pull back hair with a clip all the time? Okay, most of the time here, i'm ready to go for you i'll, be your assistant. Do you want a bigger clip than that? I have it. I think it'll be fine. Okay, yeah, this is yeah. So would you leave the length around the face, or would you trim a bang or or wear it first and see i'll leave it? As is i don't think i'd want to trim this and make a bang? I would probably bring a little bit down, maybe a little bit more up a little bit more down here, but yeah. This would be fun to play around with cute. Yes, it is, i love the color, it almost looks silvery gray here and then yeah. I want part of me: i want to pull your hair is long right here. Okay, i don't want to pull your hair, but a part of me. I want to pull just a little bit just threads just to come out over the wig yeah. Do that am i pulling your hair? No okay! I want to do just a little more because if you're going to wear it and show your forehead, i don't want to pull that i'm going to put whatever's easy just a little. I don't want to pull more than that right now, but because that's you and it just works right in i like to have a little messiness, okay smile, we're all focused on yeah we're on our wigs. I have to make sure you can see debbie looking happy for a minute. No, it's! It is great and i love it also. I don't know about you, but julia is great. Just messy! Just messy long, hair, yeah, she's, cute she's, cute, okay, hands off so now just and turn your head a little bit shake it up and let's just see, i just want to see you in julia yeah, and you know what you could do too is you could Take a little bit if of what might be falling in your face and just give it a little twist and put a little clip right up here, so keep that out of the way yeah and now it's also you know those pieces are not in your face. Yeah, that's how i wear it most of the time yeah. I have little clips like that. Okay, so this is a tip for all of you too just pulling a little bit and you can leave a little mess around your face when you start to have a wig look perfect! It'S going to look wiggy yeah cute, yes, beautiful yeah and the color. I, like the color, a lot yeah, vanilla bean rooted, vanilla bean rooted, yes beautiful, and this is again a lace front, but you're getting that height. You know, so it is still machine teased for those of you that want you, love that height. You can pull it up high with a clip and leave all that rest just hanging down and leave a little mess around your face. Like i love that yeah this yep, i could have been with this one yeah. I know a lot of you out there. You want it full, so i just want to play for another. Second, because i haven't really played on me. It'S beautiful it's a whole different. Look, i mean debbie. You can wear a lot of different styles and colors whoops, i'm getting your hair, i'm getting the wig grip; okay, so that was julia lace, front. Okay, next aria, try aria again, i had arya and she was just way dark. But again it's that again. I love this style, it's just i thought. Well, maybe i could do it in a lighter color. What color had you tried? It was um, it was a darker. It was um the dark brown okay, so this is nutmeg f, arya in nutmeg f, i'm gon na see yeah it's just i mean i. I love this style, i'm just it's one that i would have to get used to because it doesn't feel like me. It'S a little longer like well, it's funny. I love! I love it because it's just such a fun, easy style to wear and i'm okay keep going like that. It'S interesting because julia is as long, but it has a little more roundness to it. Yeah there we go because i'm i'm that's what i'm looking at and i mean is your hair, naturally straight or waiting. No, it has a wave in it. Naturally, but - and i blow-dry it, you know to blend - depends if i'm wearing my long toppers and i have a wavy one, then i'll just leave it, as is, if i'm wearing the straight, then i blow it out. Okay, but i love the color wow. Okay, break for a smile anyway. What do you think i like it? I don't love it yeah, that's it's almost too, but but we've liked so many i know i just i love the style. It'S just not me. Is it just that the straight around your face like let's just look a minute? If we take some of that straightness away from your face, does it lighten up the wig? Does it does it change anything? It'S you know it's it's just it's all right. It'S all! Right, it's all right, it's not turning you on yeah! It'S just i mean i get it, but i do love the color. It'S not biggest, i'm wearing it in harmony. So does this have a little bit of um like a reddish a little bit. Nutmeg f has every color in it: the darker root, the little blonder, the cooler blonde, a little gold blonde and i'm not gon na, say red, but almost like a warm caramel yeah. So it's really pretty color. I wish i could wear this style because it's so easy, but anyway well you're, looking amazing in many, so i don't feel bad at all. Okay, you ready number seven mckenna mckenna great wig in mochaccino without the root, okay, beautiful color. Let'S see what we got here see i like this already better than arya for me, and i think it's the soft roundness softens you up right here that i, like i, i don't know, play on that little baby. Oh she's, cute she's cute. Now is this a longer version of katie? Well, katie is katie, so the difference between katie and mckenna. Yes longer layers. I like her longer thicker on the bottom and see it. She does come a little bit longer and she can flip or you can take her right around - seems to be an easy style to throw on and wear very easy and not much trimming needs to be done a little on the bank just a little. I, like i like her: what's the back look like? Is it the back? Is a long layer flips a little bit? Yes i'll show you after will you just turn a little bit and show everybody there? You go so just a little longer for those of you that know katie, it's longer, hair, coming all the way down where katie is piecier a little thinner at the bottom, but this is actually a little longer and these little pieces could just be trimmed. Okay, yeah beautiful, i love the color on you. What do you think of the color? I like it? I like it a lot mm-hmm, okay, mochaccino mckenna in mochaccino, i haven't tried mckenna in quite a while. I'M gon na have to try her again. I love how you just clipped it messy great. This is what you think mochaccino without the r does it come rooted uh. I don't believe mechanic comes rooted, so i want to show you the difference, though, so you can see on you've got mochaccino and i'm going to put megon in the mochaccino r. Just so you can see the difference so many of our wigs come with and without roots mckenna. I'M not positive honestly would have to have to check online. So let's see the color next to each other. So this is a little darker, but it's got all those same blonde. Colors so does mochaccino are darker at the root yeah and because it still has that deeper base, i still see you can see a little bit deeper all the way. So that doesn't bother me at all cute, that's cute on you, it's cute, not as cute as it was on you because i have it on and i'm feeling like, i'm all cheeks we're on you, your trimmer. I i like it much much better on you. This wouldn't be uh in my top pick for myself right now, beautiful cute, oh brother, i'm going to have a hard time. Yes, you are okay. Next we're going longer and curly farah yeah! This was great, i mean so so interesting because debbie, we started short with peggy to meg, peggy's, super short debbie and then mckenna, it's great okay. Now i love farah, because there's so much you can do with her. So i'm not even going to brush any curl out to start and what color? Oh sorry, iced mocha, you can wear the darker and you can wear the lighter okay. I want you to play so. Farah is a perfect example of you're not committed to the length you're not committed to the bang. You can change it up. You can trim it. You can take this all the way to your chin if you're liking, all the rest, you know yeah, i would. I love the curls, but i would trim the top okay and make it more. I would probably take about that much, oh really and then just okay. So if you're gon na trim a wig, i always suggest always start at the bang start around the face, because sometimes you know you trim the bang and everything else falls in place very well. So it is short. It'S it's a shag. It'S a curly shag for sure and uh. I love those styles yeah. I like the shags yeah. I just need a little trimming and um i mean this could easily be trimmed too. Let'S pretend that length wasn't there and let's just look right here, yeah and that might be a better length for me yeah right here right there, but i just want to see i mean some people. Take it all the way, let's just seam it and just leave some pc, so that's how you check for the length, pull it away and then start pulling some pieces around and get a little longer and keep looking look at everything. Look at your jawline! Look at your neck look at what each length how it flatters you and what you want to focus, what you want people to see and what you want to diminish or not put a focus on and for some of us it's our neck. So those little wispies or curls they take the attention away from our neckline. I smoke it still like that color. I love the color on you yeah. I like it yeah, that's so between the curl of pharah and then mckenna. We had it wasn't quite as curly. It wasn't quite as shagged, you know what i mean. Do you have a preference smile i like them. Both i mean i'm more drawn towards curly. Okay, you know more curly. They seem to be easier to wear during the day. I find that when i'm wearing some of the longer ones, sometimes they tangle more easily on your clothes and the shorter i mean the um curly ones. Don'T tend to do that, okay that i have found, so they just for me: wear better okay and a tip for longer hair that starts grabbing and getting tangly. If you wear a more slippery fabric, i'm sure you know a polyester, a silk something more slippery. So longer is going to just slide on that and it's going to grab on coats, wools cottons, so just make sure you always brush it out underneath after each wearing, so it doesn't get naughty naughty or naughtiest. You know yeah, and i always condition them too great. With the products great after i wear them, i, like i like it. I just have to i think, tone this top down a bit and trim it and um maybe take just a little bit of the length off, but it would be fun to have a link too, because you can, you know, go off with it, you can clip It up, you can make little pigtails back with it yeah you can do a lot. I can see with farah. You have a lot of choices. You want a clip. This is probably sorry sorry. This is probably how i would wear it. Okay, we'll say time up and back yes yeah a little bit but yeah really pretty on you too. So you know, i think it i like it. What i'm really seeing on you that i have seen on many women for over 25 years is, we think, there's one best, wig there's really. What mood are you in? Do you know what i'm saying yeah and what you choose to wear plays a part in that too right and what mood you're in so each wig. It'S like it helps you express who you want to be, so i think you can really see from debbie. I want to say, like the 10 personalities of debbie, because you can see how each one works on her and do you feel different in different style, wigs, okay, our last baby, but beautiful, and we love your comments. I like it, i like bear out loud beautiful, and i love how you clipped it back. Okay, our last is taylor, taylor and we're back to mochaccino, r and gorgeous. Taylor is like to me for those of you that, like beautiful yes for those of you that, like long hair - oh my god, it's amazing in reds in blondes in every color. So i want you to play and sometimes the bangs need to be rounded out, and so we have our hot roller brush and that's the only heat that we suggest so, of course, like i know you know with our wigs, no heat, never heat and that's why We have a video on being careful when you're cooking around the oven and the stove, because high quality synthetic it doesn't need the heat after you shampoo and condition it's going to dry the way you bought it. So what could be easier now when i wear tailor? I wear back and i was incorporating my own hair with tailor and pulling these veins back, so i wanted to try just with the veins i'm trying to wear the wigs more as they come. You know with the veins, rather than trying to incorporate my hair, because my hair has just gotten thinner and thinner, and it's not as easy to do anymore right and it's not necessary to do yeah when you get the wig you like. So i would want to round these out a little bit with our hot roller brush and trim them just a nip so they're, not in the eyes, and this color was mochaccino-r, so you're a mochaccino girl. I mean they, so many of them have looked great on you yeah. I like i like taylor, and i love it in this color. What color do you own her in? Do you know um? I smoke them. Oh, okay, deeper! I smoke because we had you in uh, yeah beautiful too yeah. We just have to round that out, yeah pretty great, so we are going to try some more, but we want to really thank you for watching debbie and me have some fun and thank you so much.
