Short Wavy Hair Cut

Cristina gets a hair cut.
Hey it's Christina and today I'm going to show you my short wavy curly hair cut. I was dealing with a lot of damage on the bottom half of my hair and I just needed to get rid of it. Long curly hair is really beautiful, but only if it's healthy in the last couple years I cut my long hair into a pixie cut. I bleached it platinum blonde. I dyed it purple, I dyed it black and it shows my stylist was Shannon Hollis from method hair. Here in Austin and she is awesome, she works with all curl patterns from loose and wavy to type for coyly, and she just really knows her stuff plus, it's always a good sign when your stylist has gorgeous curls the hardest part about getting a short curly haircut Is that I found it extremely difficult to find haircut inspiration photos. All I could find was the shape and length that I wanted, but the people and my photos had straight hair. Shannon told me right away that that wasn't going to work, and luckily she had a lot of curly inspiration photos to show me so we went through it together until we found something that I liked, and that was also going to work for my curl pattern. Shanon'S method for cutting curly hair is to first do a wet cut, so she can see that the cut is even and has a good foundation. The silhouette of the cut is really important because you can quickly end up with a triangle helmet, which I've definitely had before. Shannon showed me a few new ways of using a diffuser to create more lift and volume at my roots and because diffusing can cause frizz. She also use Kevin Murphy, Easy Rider cream to smooth out that frizz. At the end, once my curls dried, she went in and shaped my individual curls so that the cut wasn't so heavy and bulky around my face. If you're thinking about cutting your hair, I say you should definitely give it a try. I was really nervous before getting this cut, but I haven't regretted it for a second and my hair just feels so much healthier. I know how hard it is to find naturally wavy short haircut inspirations, so I hope this helped you out.
