#curlyperm #bigchop

All right, hey, y'all, welcome back to my channel, so let's get right into it. So i got my curly perm when i was really early on in my pregnancy. I don't remember how many months i was but prior to getting this, i already had a texturizer. I did the s girl and i did the botanical texturizer before this, so i did not um get a curly perm. Unlike my 100 natural hair, it was already texturized. So i wanted to do this because i really don't. I really didn't want to deal with my natural natural hair when the baby got here, because i knew like the postpartum stage was gon na be really hard, and i was just really miserable. Overall. In general, i was trying really hard not to throw up for the whole nine months even right here i was nauseous af and i really wanted. I didn't want to deal with my hair. I didn't want to deal with anything, so i put my hair up in a ponytail. I would wash my hair blow it out and just catch it up in a ponytail do braids everything that i wasn't supposed to do with a curly perm, whereas my hair was really like. It was still fresh, so the curls really didn't get time to set so um even like here. I had my hair in um plaids, which again you're not supposed to do because you're gon na mess up your curls and honestly i was just miserable and over it, and i was like you know what screw it. Let me just either put my hair up in a ponytail or do some plaits, but i wasn't going to do that on my natural natural hair. So i was tired of feeling like a bum, and i was like you know what let me try to do. A silk press and that's what i did and i liked it and i rocked the silk press throughout the rest of my pregnancy and wigs as well, because i still had work to do and you know mommy got ta, do what mommy had to do so. After the baby got here, i got bored with my hair again and i wanted to change up my look. I wanted to feel different. I guess maybe it was all the hormones, i don't know. Maybe i don't know, and i decided to bleach my hair. It was terrible, the color was terrible, some parts were dark, some parts were light, but i got my hair colored in a half red and half orange a few years ago. I had my hair similar to this, but it was halfway to half black and i liked it. Some people did some people didn't, but i really didn't care about other people's opinions because, like you can't be everybody's cup of tea, you can't please everyone and i'm definitely not living to please other people but myself. It might sound selfish, but i mean you literally can't please everyone you can't alright. So when i was in jamaica, obviously, hair grows and the black hair is going to come out. The natural hair is going to come out, the not the natural texture and all so um. First of all, i colored my hair first. So what i did wrong was i bleached it and i didn't only apply the bleach to the new growth, but i also applied the bleach to everywhere else, and i colored my hair to this red that i absolutely hated. It was a mess. So i was like okay, it it's already been done and i need to touch up my roots with the wave navel. So i did two patch tests, one in the front, one in the back and and again, instead of only going over the new growth, i went over um the whole thing, so those two sections of hair were dead, but the whole thing was dead because i went Over the whole thing with bleach and then again i went over the whole thing with perm again, so my hair was dead, dead like it was dead dead, but i got recommended these two um treatments at the beauty supply store and they are really good like. I really recommend these too, so y'all can check them out. So i let my hair steam for a little bit and my hair was feeling good. It was looking good and whatever like. I was happy with it so right here. I only had a few days left in jamaica and i was really thinking about how i wanted to go back to japan and i was like i haven't - had braids in a long time. So let me just get some braids, so my sister hooked me up with some really cute braids. They were blonde from the roots and it went into um throughout the middle section. It was red, gold and green. I really liked it like. It was super duper cute. So a little background story a few years ago, i would get my hair braided and because my hair was so thick, i couldn't do like everybody else and only use like a small um amount of braids, like maybe about five packs, or so i used 15 packs Of braids in my hair - and i still needed more because my hair was that thick. So the weight of the braids really took my hair out from the roots and it really weighed on my edges, and sometimes i would just sit there and pick at my edges, because i could feel my hair coming out and picking up my edges got so addictive And i would just pick pick pick till there was no tomorrow, so that is why i am so thin on my edges, so i dyed my hair black and i kept some blonde highlights because, okay, i know y'all are getting tired of me now. This is gon na be over real soon. I promise you so i really like that. Skunk um inspired style, so i went ahead and i gave myself a bob cut with fringe bangs and i looked cute. It was all right, oh and by the way. Yes, i did try to do the full perm process. I tried to do step two and three, but step two would not allow me to curl my hair at all whatsoever. It would just burn right off so anyways. I tried on this short curly wig, because i had somewhere to go and i was like okay, if i could just cut all my hair off start all over and find different means how to curl my hair to look somewhat similar. Then that's that's. What i'm gon na have to do: baldi, baldi baldi, not me trolling, my own self, but yeah um. This is my second time around cutting my hair off and my hair grew back within about a year and then my hair could have been longer, but this is when i was natural now my hair could have been longer, but i kept following people listening to people. Thinking that i'm supposed to cut my ends or trim my ends every month and my hair stayed on one length for a long time, because i would not stop cutting my ends, because society kept telling me that i needed to cut my ends. But anyways. My hair will be back within about a year, and i know people are gon na say that oh i'm gon na just go back to doing the same thing again and again, but, like i said i can't please people. I really can't like. I can't so washing my hair is a little bit addictive. Now i'm trying to stop, because it's not good and as for oils that i use in my hair now i am using jamaican castor oil and rosemary oil and yeah. That'S it! So thanks for watching and bye,

La' Onna: We all go through phases with our hair rather it's long short, damaged, healthy, split ends and colored. Your still beautiful with long or short hair and I'm sure a lot of your followers will agree

Johnese Vanst: The fact that this is your 2nd time around cutting your hair wow your hair grows back fast and also you look amazing the short hair looks very good on you ❤️

Tay_The Eclectic One: Yessss!! You joined the big chop. It looks great!! I did mines back in April because of heat damage so I started over and I remember I told you about it on your livestream and you said you didn’t think you’ll look good in a big chop and there you are with a big chop and you are shutting it down and serving looks Sis! May you have a healthy great natural hair journey!! ❤️

Whitakers Way: Even though this video isn’t filmed in the right format it is still very informative and the voice over is spot on. I understand the struggle of being pregnant and not wanting to fool with your hair. I enjoyed the video. Congrats on your big chop!

Kissmedesi: You literally can rock any style! Long, short, bangs, blonde, short cut, braids EVERYTHING. You are too beautiful love! We are all learning about ourselves and our hair. MsWhocares14: Ends only need to be trimmed every 3-6 months and you only need to trim split ends or even up the length. If nothing is wrong with your ends leave them be

Taj B: This video stressed me out lol all that healthy pretty hair just destroyed ‍♀️ then the hair was so strong and long it still was tryna stand strong and you just kept with the chemicals come on cocoa

Mary Ta Ha: No there is a video that I just seen it a couple of days ago I think it was July 29th 2022 and this young lady was posting a video how this man had went around the glow but he was talking about how society says oh you have to do the blunt cut oh you know the straight cut that everybody's doing oh you have to cut your edges they look shabby and they said that you do not have to do that when it comes to our type of hair and as long as you're taking care of your ends and keeping them oiled and taking care of them it doesn't matter your hair can grow long just take care of your hair and make sure your ends are not dry and keep them deep conditioned and if you put them in braids make sure you oil the braids and put deep conditioner on before you take them out you know maybe a day ahead of time and just keep taking care of your hair so it can grow healthier and longer and keep the old the healthy oils on it and massage massage the oils in your hair because there are some people that who grow their hair and their ends kind of look like it's not uneven but that doesn't mean it's it's unhealthy and their hair grows very long just like that cuz they take care of it keep your hair and protective hairstyle and make sure it gets air
