How To: Weave Ponytail W/No Glue | Relaxer Stretching Series Week 18 | Toyajtv

In this week (18) for the "How to stretch your relaxer series " I did a high ponytail without using glue. I wanted to do another heat free style this week that is easy, quick, and also great for those of you that are active and like to workout.

Hey you guys it's toya and thank you for watching toyiajtv, so this week is week 18 for the how to stretch your relaxer series and this week i am doing this ponytail. Okay, something simple, fairly, quick, fairly easy! Thank you! Okay! So, let's jump right in so i've already shampooed and deep conditioned. I used a refresh deep cleansing shampoo along with the extreme moisture, and then i did a deep conditioning treatment with the intense moisturizing treatment. So right now i'm simply applying the leave-in conditioner throughout the hair, because that adds an extra layer of moisture and then i'm combing that through to ensure that every strand of hair gets some leave-in conditioner on it. So at this point, i'm going to apply the whipped, tummy foam, wrap and that's going to help. Me lay down my edges and my roots and allow me to set my hair so that it will be much easier to pull up into a ponytail. And now, at this point, i'm going to tie it down with my satin wrap cap and then i'm going, i'm actually going to use two satin wrap caps, and this will help the back to lay down as well as the sides in the front you know. Normally i use a scarf, but since i'm going to be pulling it up in a ponytail, i want to make sure the back is laid down as well. And i'm just going to allow my hair to air dry like this. For a little while and then i'll come back once it's completely dry or mostly dry and start the styling. So now my hair is completely dry or, like i said it's dry for the most part, so i'm gon na go ahead and you see how my hair is laying down. I just want to point that out at 18 weeks, it's still laying down and that's because of the whipped honey foam wrap, and it just allows me to get my hair in a ponytail much easier than if i were to just air dry it with no product. On it and right now, i'm using some of the gel in the baby collection. I normally use this on my son's hair, but it i like it because it allows me to let my hair set and be nice and sleek without getting hard. So i really like this gel and it helps me to get the ponytail up much easier, also because i don't like really really hard hair at all. And now that i have the ponytail up. I'M going to go ahead and i'm going to braid my ponytail and then that's what's going to allow me to wrap the hair around. So that's what i do. First, i braid the ponytail as much as i can anyway, and then i'm going to just wrap the hair around it. So i'm going to spray it with some of the got to be glued spray and i'm trying to um. If you notice i'm holding it kind of out and then i'm not lightly spraying it, so it's still not gon na make my hair hard, but once i tie it down, it's gon na just give it another element of that sweetness that i want so again, i'm Just spraying it lightly and i'm kind of holding the can out so that it doesn't make my hair just like super hard, because if you hold it too tight it i mean too close to your hair. It will get hard. So now i'm going to just go ahead and start wrapping this hair around again. This is one bundle of loose wave 14 inch hair from el jones hair collection at this point right here is where i'm questioning myself as to why i'm only using one bundle of hair, but i'm doing this because i want to show you guys that it doesn't Take much to get a you know, a cute style that you actually put some effort into. You can do it with one bundle. My preference is to at least use two, but i just want you to see that it can be done with one bundle. So i was kind of like questioning myself like. Why am i doing this, but you know i figure it can work so now that i have the ponytail pinned down, i'm just pulling the curls apart to make it look fuller and i'm actually going to it's a little curlier than i would like. So i'm actually going to just take my flat iron on low heat and um kind of take some of these curls out so right now, i'm just taking a piece of the hair and wrapping it around so that you don't see the track and then i'm just Gon na pin that down so i'm taking the wrap cap off and look how sleek that my edges look now. It looks like just very sleek and straight and that's exactly the look that i was going for so now, i'm going to put the wrap cap back on so that i can style my ponytail. I just want to keep it laid down. I'M combing the curls out some with my wide tooth comb and that's just going to help me flat on it better hmm. So there were some hairs in the back. Some stray hairs that i want to make sure stay up, because you know my hair in the back is still not as long so i just want to make sure those stay in place. So i sprayed a little bit more of the got to be glued um spray and then i'm putting my wrap cap back on and, as you can see, i'm feeling this ponytail. I kind of like it like this with the little wavy look. I just again i put the flat iron on like 300 and i just took some of that curl out to make it look like it's wavy, instead of just curly. So at this point i'm just going to tie it up even more and then i will put my satin bonnet on. You know. We have satin bonnets now in the bio jones line, so i'm gon na do that and then i will be going off to bed. So i'm putting um the scarf on so that can make sure that the back is secured and then i'll put my bonnet on top of this and the bonnets come in the signature print like, as you see me wearing here, and they also come in all black. They have the one inch uh elastic band that goes across that just makes it more secure so that it doesn't come off your head at night. So i love these all right, you guys. So this is the finished. Look nothing too fancy just a simple ponytail. Okay, because you know, i always tell you guys - that your ponytail can look um neat. It doesn't have to be just uh, i rolled out of bed, and this was the only thing i had time to do type of ponytail. You can actually put some a little work in and make it look. Nice and it'll hold up the whole week. Um. There'S someone that had asked me once like um. Can you do some styles that um people that work out a lot can wear? I do them all the time like this is one of them: ponytails braids, buns, updos, wigs, all of that stuff and stuff that you can do um to stretch your relaxer. Even when you work out, you don't have to always wear your hair down. That'S why i try to do a variety of things so that you guys can have options? Okay and who doesn't love a good ponytail um, it's not too thick. Here'S the back! You know it's not too thick. It'S only one bundle of hair. I would have preferred to have at least two, but you know i know everybody doesn't like big over-the-top. You know, hair like i do most of the time, because you know i'll do 30 inches. As you all know, this is only uh 14 inches. This is only 14 inches okay, so you don't have to do nothing over the top fancy. All you need is one bundle of hair. This hair came from the by elle jones, hair, um, hair collection for the elle jones hair collection. You can go straight to the website at www.eljohncarecollection.com or you can also um go to the by elle jones website and there's a link for the hair collection, i'll link it down below. Don'T worry, but one bundle one bundle. Okay. Now i will say this: when you're using one bundle of hair, you have to get a shorter length because the longer the lengths, the less hair, is going to come in the bundle. Okay, so like that 30 inch, ponytail that i had, that was three bundles. You cannot do a ponytail 30 inches with one bundle of hair. It don't do that to yourself, okay, but um again, this is week. What are we on week, 18 week 18, now um of the bio jones of the uh, i'm sorry of the how to stretch your relaxer series, i'm only going to go a few more weeks, but i'm gon na ride the rest of these weeks out with no Heat um and it's still cute all right so be sure to continue to watch this series, and then you can refer back to it whenever you need assistance, guidance help all that good stuff. You can refer back to the older weeks or the previous weeks. So be sure to subscribe to the channel um tell all your friends to subscribe as well, and i will see y'all next time talk to y'all later bye,
