Tutorial: Affordable Curly Ponytail With Braiding Hair

Hey guys welcome back to my channel if you are a new viewer in future subscriber hello, welcome to my channel today we will be going over how I created this curly ponytail out of kanekalon braiding hair, it's very simple, very easy and affordable. You will not have to wait on any hair coming through the mail I got to do is just run to the Meuse web store and you are good to go. There are a couple of things that you will need to create this ponytail. All you will need is a one two, two packs of kanekalon braiding hair. Depending on how cool and how thick you want, the hair to be perm rods, and/or flexi rods. I ended up using perm and flexi rods, just to give it a little bit of dimension and different curls throughout the hair, but it's totally up to you boiling hot water as towel. In a pair of scissors, I would recommend another thing I would recommend having on standby is a blow dryer just in case you want to dry the hair a little bit faster than waiting for it to air dry. So that's all you want me very simple, like I said, if you're interested in what to learn, how to create this Pony stuff continue watching. I hope you enjoy so right now, I'm definitely just starting off with you know: freshly washed hair. I just Co washed it because I tried to do another hair tutorial and it didn't turn out good. So this is my freshly cut washed hair. I look a little cuckoo, so what I'm about to do is go ahead and start detangling, so I'm taking my Denman brush and you know we're just gon na. Do you tangle all the way through is already brushed out as much as possible detangled and I'm taking my comm and I'm about to partner here where I want to party them. So this is a nice little part and I'm about to start shelling, my hair down. So I'm going to be using my edge booster and it's a little I'm gon na be using my edge booster innocent cherry and my eco styler black, castor oil and flaxseed oil definition come through popular opinion. I'M popular thing I don't know the matches. I'M gon na. Try to do them off-camera and I'm gon na come back and check out what I can do. Okay. So I'm a back from attempting to do my edges and I have come to the conclusion that suck you're not gon na, be good at everything like you can't be good at everything, and I just feel like me laying my edges is something that's just not for Me, okay, I'm putting on my skirt so that way, no hair. Couldn'T man eight! Where did we walk on the zip pony's head? Something on my scrap right now, so my hair can marinate. While we work on putting together the ponytail using this pre stretched hair, I used it for another video because I tried to do um an extended braid it it worked out, but it wasn't like post worthy. I like insert a video right now go ahead and like and share even if you didn't enjoy it so like a chair yeah, so that was the braid. I did. Um, didn't didn't really like it that much, but out insert like the picture of the hair that I used to guys so pre-stress hair, very nice. I'M also gon na be using these little parm rods to make sure it's curly. So let me doesn't mean, show you the hair and pressing it I'm taking as much hair, as I think would be like thick enough for a ponytail because, like I don't want it buckle long, but at the same time I don't want it short and I got Ta, remember it's gon na be curly and we don't want no thin hair. My we have our hair and it's kind of like you know, stretched out calm down. It'S gon na look but hey. So we have our hair, and this is a good amount for the thickness that we're gon na use and next we're gon na just take a another one. So we're just gon na take one of these because we will be dipping. This hair in hot water and rubber bands seem to pop consistently. So what we're gon na use is this and we are going to pretty much wrap it around like the rubber band. That is already on the package. So if you don't know what I mean we're gon na be taking this rubber band and then we're gon na hold it like this. So we have hair on both sides. We'Re gon na take it kind of like a hot dog. It'S gon na kind of be like this, like laying in the bed and then we're gon na. Take one input. Nice little 99 didn't get that out, demonstrated with just my finger. So my finger is the hair, and this is the elastic bandage, we'll be using we're. Gon na place, the hair in the middle of the elastic band, we're gon na, take one okay, so we're gon na place the hair in the middle daylight and we're gon na hold it like a hot dog and then we're gon na push one side through. So it's kind of over sorry and then we're just gon na fry. You got this. Don'T everything get honey? We are on to the part of wrapping the hair up into the perm rods. So I have I'm going to show you guys and you're just gon na. Do it with the whole thing we're taking one small piece of hair, and this is good enough to wrap around the entire, like you know just so. This is long enough, and this is a good little width. To put so I'm just taking a little bit of leave-in conditioner we're just gon na pull it through, and this is just to give it some moisture and sunshine. So when we dip it in the hot water, it's not just all little so and we're just gon na take this in and wrap it around and ride all the way into, and I've learned you don't want it to be a flat twist. So don't just twist it like this kind of give it some like emotion, so that it twists with the perm rod. So when you take it out, you're not gon na have like just this big flat twist they're gon na twist. It all the way to stop. In boom security and you're, just gon na continue on, so I showed you one way to do it with perm rods. Now, I'm going to show you how to do it with flexi rod, if you have those and if you're using those instead, I wear leave-in conditioner flexi rod, so I like to start wrapping it in the middle up. So that way I can like cover the ends. So it won't like unravel or whatever so we're just gon na. Take it wrap it wrap it wrap. It remember, move it that we're just gon na be wrapping it until we get to the top. Just something that looks like this. These are all of my perm rods and I fussy wise - and I read things like that - and this is the little hair tie that I'll be using on my hair. I know this is crazy, but trusty process. It'S gon na give you that nice curl that you're really looking for with this hairstyle and I'm gon na go ahead and put this in some hot water boiling hot water for no more than two minutes. It doesn't have to be in there long if you leave it in there longer. I personally wouldn't suggest it it's just like a nice little flash dip so that the hair sets to the curls that it's wrapped around once I take it out of there. I will put it on this old t-shirt that I use to dry my hair earlier, where you can put it in the towel just to absorb the water and just leave it in there for a little while I'm gon na skip the part where I show you How I dip it in everything like that, because it's probably gon na take me a little minute, so I'm coming back with the hair in my t-shirt and I show you how to unravel it. Okay, I am back with hot hair, so it is beaming a little bit too and like a science experiment. So I'm just let that state cooled off a little bit. Cuz I'll be damned if I burn my hand - and I realized some of the flexi rods kind of popped because of the heat. That'S a place where Isaac memorize some of the perm rods kind of popped because of the heat. But that's perfectly fine, because perm rods are so cheap, but if you value your perm rods, so the hair has dried and one of them came loose already. Let me show you at the end that kind of like pop, so I'm gon na raveling it - and this is yep all you do - is just start unraveling everything and tell Java trust the process Boop so just taking it, and then some of them still may be A little late, you may just need to grab like your blow dryer and it might get a little caught right. There just hold it and try to shoot Keenan. It'S not just don't that I care you can always. This is what you have it's a nice curly slinky Little Ponies that it's really cute, and so we have some stray pieces like this. You can kind of cut them a little bit and it's still kind of wet. So I'm gon na go grab a blow-dryer and then we're just gon na start separating the hair to make it fuller. This is all of the detangle and I'm pretty much done. You'Re gon na have some like straggly pieces. At the end, I just have my scissors, and all I'm gon na do is just cut them now. It'S time for the moment of truth that I think is gon na be super cute, so I'm gon na just lay this down softly because remember this is still spent very careful and figure out which way you want the punny set alight. I think I want this side up under and then this side over top take ours off, oh and make sure we still a bully stelae and our hair is already in a ponytail or a bun or whatever you want it to do. We take our hair, like I said I want this out on the outside, so I want this on the outside and this out on the inside and we're just gon na, but I want it to lay over top. Oh before you leave it put it all. Okay, so I want this side on you so that it lays on top of my boy, I'm gon na put it on upside down that I wan na under I'm gon na. Just put it on like that and grow how you with the ponytail and also be careful with this hairstyle, because it's easy to get kind of like tangled in it. This isn't like everyday ponytail like you would possibly like get out of it. So I'm just taking a piece from over here so wrap around the bottom to make sure like my ponytail, doesn't like my natural hair. That'S right! There doesn't pop out it kind of blends in really well, but we're just gon na smooth this piece out and put it on like the demarcation. Okay, so yeah, I want a head band. This is kinda what we're giving ponytail and it goes all the way very full, very light, very flowy, and I will just bring it to the side and you know we're to the back. It looks very cute boom. That'S all I did to achieve this hairstyle.
