Hey y'all welcome back to my channel today I am doing a tutorial on this heatless sleek ponytail that I have been rocking that since quarantine since quarantine. I have learned to do a lot of things on my own. I'Ve also learned to appreciate those people that do these things with. That being said, I understand why people go and pay for a ponytail, because this eye, you see, I ain't, say quit no way. Okay - and I am st. easy me, but okay, I didn't say none of that, so the first part of this video is just me detangling my hair and moisturizing it. My I wash my hair like three days ago and I had to wait to do it for this video. It was all like really dry and crusty and crunchy well, not crusty, but it was just dry. So to detangle my hair, I used tgin daily moisturizer, the buttercream, and I like using this because it doesn't like interact with a lot of products in a bad way. Like you know what I'm saying like most products be well not most, but a lot of products will leave that white residue, and this doesn't leave that if you use enough water, okay and that's another thing, I'm doing this on dry hair, because I don't want my Hair to be wet underneath this ponytail, so I'm not using a whole lot of product. Alright, so first thing you do is split your hair into two and then you put the back into a ponytail the key to getting it sleek, it's just it's just working in the small sections, so I do the back and then I attempt to part the front. Y'All have y'all hair ever been so tangled that you feel like it's ignoring the comb, because I just felt like my hair was I my comb was straight, but my part still wasn't straight. I didn't understand what was happening so now. You see me separating me. It kind of like the diagonally, so I'm going from the middle my head to my ear - and this is like the crown on my head. This part really matters, because if this part is lumpy, then it's not gon na be slick. So I focus on that part, and I think I do oh yeah I just yup see I just put it all together. Alright, so, and I'm also using eco styler gel now, you guys can see this white residue right here. It'S not still there. If you add more water, it'll go away, alright, so now to work on the front. I already have it pre sectioned off. Well, I thought it was straight, but it wasn't straight okay, so I just parked my hair straight down the middle, and then I broke that up into another section. Just to I add more products, I use my tangle teezer to make sure my hair is nice and detangle. Then I use that real hard brush that hurt. I don't know how we all know how this brush hurts and I think it's all, because we got smacked in the forehead with that brush. But I don't want to believe that my mom used to do that. To me. I just don't wan na. I don't want to accept it, but I know that brush hurts so bad and the bristles are so hard to you brush a hole. You brush those thoughts with that brush. Okay, it feel like the brush, actually feels like a rake. It feels terrible okay, black moms around the world need to be ashamed of themselves cuz. Why didn't y'all invest in better brushes, alright right over okay, so doing the other side, making sure that everything is sleek? And then I go through with a small tooth comb and then I use that like a soft bristle brush, alright, so here's the thing right. I got a funny shape here, so I like to do my pony tails back. I know a lot of people like my edges, I like to pull my edges back alright, so like, if you think about like a wig so, like you know the wigs where they got all the baby here showing and but it's still back, I don't know what I'M trying to say, but I do not like for my hair to be like one line over my head. I still need to see my edges because I got an egg head shape and when I just make when I just put my hair straight down and comb it straight down like almost at like a 45 degree angle, it looks bad so I have to brush my Hair back so you guys feelin saying I hope so, probably not so yeah. I just go ahead and put that all into a ponytail, and then I work on my actual ponytail, I know y'all are a lot of y'all are probably like JLo. Why are you doing this ponytail? You got all that hair y'all. Half this hair is damaged and the other half is bit okay, so I am doing this ponytail, so I don't have to deal with my real hair. I just put that in a braid and then I put a rubber band at the end of it: okay yep, so we're still touching up the actual ponytail yeah, putting more gel, more gel, more brushing, yes, okay, I see you Queen, okay, yeah, we're taking on some Little side pieces because the side pieces always add a little. You know I'm saying bedazzle onto the ponytail. Alright. So for my edges, I can do a separate video on my edges. If you guys want I'm just using eco styler gel and it's just like edge brush, I think like my first week or somebody sent it to me, and I just spread this all the way up, because I kind of I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my Edges, but this is like baby hair porn to me, so I like watching people, do their edges, but if you guys want a tutorial on how I do it then sure I can do that. But for now I'm gon na just let y'all be mesmerized by the art of baby hair. You, okay, that's over the edges are laid fist. Okay, late now, I'm spraying some pump it up and I know y'all. I know what y'all thinking I know: y'all like Jayla pump it up stink, it's my likes, grow mom, but y'all got to be glue, just get the spray just get so crusty on my hair, and I think I hate it okay, so I can't use that spray. But you guys are more than welcome to if that works, for you all right, so I'm using those little rap strips, I don't know what they called, but I am wrapping it all around my hair. I think I did that's one there's another. So that's two and then out there's another. So that's three. Do I do one more? Oh, I see y'all see I tried. Sprayable got to be glued that don't work all right, yeah, so just keep putting rubber bands around it. Oh look. What number was our own? Okay, so I just did the top, because the top act like I didn't want to get done, but so yeah only did half of my braid well. I left the bottom third empty because I'm not gon na be applying any tracks onto there. A ponytail will be stupid long if I did that, so I just get some bundles and I got these bundles from beauty forever. I think I'll put it link in the description they didn't send them to me. I just bought them with my own money and I mean they're like decent bundles. You know I mean like they're, like you know standard, so I just take my hair glue and the reason why I covered my braids so many times is because I don't want any hair glue on my real hair cuz. My rear honestly can't take any more ass whippings for me. So yeah. That'S that's that. So I just put the glue onto one spot like I wrap it, see how I'm putting on one spot and then, when I wrap it it's gon na, like you know, secure it. I don't have to. I thought that putting the glue on the track and wrapping it around, which is like wait like girl, I'm not going, I'm not going skydiving in this ponytail. It did not need to be that secure, and I want to say that this is a 26 inch bundle and now we're working on the second one. You don't have to use two bundles. If you don't want to my hair is just long, so I need more bundles to cover up my braids. Also, let me add that this ponytail feels so weird, okay. It feels like a dog tail because you have like something hard in the middle, so I'm just gon na go ahead and just throw that disclaimer out there. Okay. So once I got to the top, I just went ahead and pulled out my little mini blow, dryer and just kind of like blow-dried it to set the glue, and then I took a piece from underneath. You have to make sure this piece is really really smooth. I sprayed some got to be spray on there and then I just wrapped that around this is really tricky like. Sometimes it took me like a while to get this and then even then I have to redo it every maybe like two days, because this just gets it unravels it gets loose so so I'm spraying got to be, and then I'm also using my hairdryer. While I am wrapping it and every time I wrap it, I spray the got to be, and then I use a hairdryer so kind of like seal it, and then I spray some more pump it up on there and then I hit it with the blow dryer. You know a little heat gon na really bust it up, and then I tie it down with my scarf and so why that's tied down, I use Miss Jessie's coil custard to the finest ponytail, but honestly it made it just a little bit too shiny and it Look like doll hair, but it's okay, cuz you're, dried out. So don't look like that. No more but yeah you use whatever you want. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. We got a helpful some tips, some trick million of these videos on YouTube, but this one. It'S just mine and yeah guys. I will see you guys in video
