So you want to grow your hair into a ponytail. You know, maybe you have the hair long enough or it's not long enough, but that's what we're talking about today is ponytails. You know how to get your hair to that specific length. Is there a specific length? So, in regards to a specific length, yes - and i get dozens of questions stephen, how long does my hair need to be to get into a ponytail, and i simply say i have no idea, however long it needs to be for it to go back, and you Know, for example, let's just take this - this mannequin head right here and here you can see if your hair is this long and you want to put it into a ponytail. Well, is it long enough? It'S long enough to go into like a light like a small ponytail but yeah. So the hair is, i guess, technically long enough for a small little ponytail. You may have some hairs coming down. So if your hair isn't as long and you keep pulling your hair back like this - and it's not going into a ponytail clearly it's not long enough, so just keep growing it until one day your hair goes back into a ponytail, there's no magic! Oh, it has to be, you know, five inches of you know whatever it doesn't matter, there's no actual measurement, it's just as long as your hair needs to be for it to go back. So that's the first thing and a lot of it does take patience. To be honest with you, it takes a lot of patience. So if your hair is long enough, what i suggest doing is you want to do this when the hair is dry or when it's wet, it doesn't really matter, but sometimes spraying in a little bit of hairspray like locked, hairspray works really. Well then, what you want to do is you want to brush the hair, all back, get all the knots out of it right make sure all the knots are out and then what you're going to do is you're going to start to brush the hair into the Palm of your hand and you're just gon na hold on to this section right into here, all right, so everything is combed up into this one section like so, and then what you're going to do is take your hand and get this piece back in through here. You may have some pieces coming down and it really again it depends on how high you want the ponytail. If you want to look a little more natural, okay, which i suggest sometimes for this specific type of look, is you can use your fingers to rake the hair back like so, and what that does is it gives it? You know a little more of a natural, more lived in type of ponytail, then what you do is you could take a ponytail holder or some sort of elastic. This is really a small one right into here. You'Re going to pull the hair through once hold on to it, make that loop again and maybe even one more time and then pull it down like this, and then you've got yourself a ponytail. Okay again, it all depends on the different type of ponytail. You want. You know uh, you can have a low one like more of like a low bun, where everything is more pulled down in through the nape of the hair right, which could be somewhat of a common one. And then you can go like a low, almost like a low man bun. I knew that was going to happen and i wanted. I wanted you to show that i want to show that, because obviously these little elastics may not be strong enough for that type of. Look but you have to be careful, but here it's like a little low man, bun, alright, something like this. So again as long as the hair is long enough to do. That type of you know style, and i have done videos on man buns, believe it or not. I'Ve already done videos on man bun, so you know for that type of look again. If you want something really really loose say, for example, you're like yeah, i want you know, i don't want anything too solid or i want or to look like it's slicked back and matted on my head. Then you can really just loosely take all that hair get it in that one knot in your hand like so there's the base. Oh and again, i broke another one. I got one left here these these little rubber bands are so fragile. That'S why it's like you're not going to get a lot of use out of these things unless it's maybe a uh, a ponytail holder like a true elastic, so here here we go, there's a very loose kind of man. Bun you pull it through. Pull that end out right into here, then you can extend it like that. If you want to look a little bit more, you know something like this. Then you're you're good to go. So that's it. That'S.
