Good morning I have decided that I am going to donate my hair, so we should probably head off and post it, I'm torn on the hair. Still it's really long. I'M sorry stop coughing on one hand, I'm like it's really long. I should keep it and then, on the other hand, I'm like it's way too long. It'S gon na end up being like here, which is a very significant chop. Then I kind of think. The fact that I don't want to cut it really short is more of a reason to do it. That'S the whole point you're donating hair, because somebody else has lost theirs. I'M messaging almost message them back. Actually, I'm messaging the Rapunzel Foundation, which is an Irish charity that takes ponytail donations. They said it needs to be 14 inches and like for me to give 14 inches. I'D have to go so short, oh wow! Thank you! So much! Oh, my God shout out Peter Merrick. I didn't ask her for free, I asked: could it be for a regular price of a washcloth blow dry because the way it has to work is has to be washed? Then dried, then chopped off the ponytail then like you'd, have to fix. What'S left, I can't believe they're doing it for free, that's very exciting. Now I have to do it. Okay, I'm getting nervous now. Why? Because I'm about to cut all my hair off to donate it princess, maybe one inch one inch yeah one inch. Did you say those 13.? That'S 14 inches. Can you show me how long 14 inches? I think it's like up to there? Well, I would say: let's go ahead up to her. I don't know we'll find out. Well, so that's a burrito plus two inches. So that's about that. I'M close to your edges because it's 14 inches, you claim that's not over your ear. You'Re gon na have a step. I don't know how short it's gon na be afterwards, but it goes back, goes back, it's fine it'll grow back and before you ask yes, I did wash my hair before going to the hairdressers. They'Re, probably gon na have to wash it again, but I didn't want to go with greasy hair. Do you know ugh? I got a quick coffee to settle the nerves because I thought you know what I need is the urge to ship myself. I guess I'll figure out when I see how short it is: yeah yeah you probably have over here. Of course, it would look for my sister ever looked right before I thought so now it has to be 14 just cut it above band measure before plus then Cut Above round yeah there we go no turning back knife, I've been staring at the sun staring at The sun, in my eyes every night. Thank you very much Jesus I feel about 10. Soon later it actually doesn't. Look that bad straight off the bat like so now. I was on a paper, though yeah yeah that looks good to me. Okay, thank you. Don'T be huge amount of followers uh, I wouldn't say it. No, I wouldn't say huge. No personally, there's a lot of good people out there. Isn'T there on social media yeah time to get to the same people to get overloaded, definitely ensure everyone has their the capacity to be a bit of a doors as well, because my hair looks pure thick now. Thank you very much yeah. So we've got my bag of hair, so here's the hair look at that. Jesus has a lot of hair. Isn'T it hell? I'M gon na wrap it back up in tissue in the bag into the envelopes I just bought and make sure to post it off. You know that I'm normally a terrible person so far, but I'm not gon na have a plot just hanging around my house, so I am going to post it off. What do you think it's all right today was really real. No, I would have thought it was gon na look a lot worse. You don't have any more stronger feelings on this. No, I thought you're gon na hate it ends of reaction. Is that it that's it in the spirit of Paradise, up late last night mourning the loss of my hair, it's really short bit of a real on Tuesday sort of spoiler, alerting the fact that they're coming here off a video went up on the try channel of Me taste, testing, alcoholic versus non-alcoholic beers on the same day that I put up the Reel where I showed myself with the hair cut off and all the comments are like your hair looks so good, don't ever change your hair. Keep your hair like that. It was a really bad time for that, but it's fine. I have only cried a couple of times Alex and I are going to a wedding. So before I go, I just wanted to show you my hair and what I've done with it, because I'm getting used to it and I quite like what I've done with it here and somewhere in a rose dress from my church to five video on Instagram um And Roses too much in the hair and I've curled the hair and I'm very happy with it Alex sorry, so you don't like it, but I like it and last but not least this morning I posted the ponytail. So the whole reason I wanted to make this video was to tell you how you could also do this. If you're in Ireland, the Rapunzel Foundation are going through a transitionary period at the minute, so the website's actually not working, but their address is on their Facebook. Page I confirmed with the founder: they are accepting donations just make sure you follow the instructions on how to cut and how to send the hair now they're in this video, but for clarity. I'Ve written them out in the description box below and I've also linked to a blog post, where I go through the steps on how to cut how to package how to send. There are a number of Charities that you could donate your hair to, depending on how long it is so. The Rapunzel Foundation is the Irish charity that I went with. They require 4 14 inches. They use the hair to make a freedom piece. They call it for Alopecia patients, the little princess trust is in the UK. They require 12 inches or more, and they use the hair to create wigs for cancer patients. There are obviously more Charities than this. I know of one base in Europe that takes seven inches or more I'll, put the link down below to that charity as well. At the end of the day, for any of these Charities, you're just cutting off your hair and posting it, so you can go with any charity that you want look. I was going to cut my hair anyway. Maybe not this George, what I was going to call my hair and because it was so long, I thought why not cut it off donate it. It will grow back, it'll be fine. It did take me because of a week to adjust to it. It took me about a week to figure out how to style my hair and to feel like my hair, and I were friends again, but I kind of like that. I got that insight into what it feels like to go through such a big change, and I did it by choice, and I hope that the hair that I donated as part of doing this voluntarily will help someone who's had to go through this involuntarily. This is actually not the first time that I've done mad to my hair for charity a couple of years ago. I dyed it all purple, oh, and I should add actually that I have been growing out the dye out of my hair since 2018. My hair was totally virgin hair because Rapunzel Foundation doesn't take dyed hair, so the purple was long gone. Thank you so much for watching I'll see you in the next one salons on

sharkeyist: My mums had cancer, her wig and plastic nipple were a huge help to her recovery. A massive thank you to you and all who donate.

joshhenry24: EXCELLENT video. We need more folks like you in this world, Clare.

Joel Monka: When my mother in law had cancer, my wife had her elbow length red hair cut off to make a wig for her. A few years later, my wife developed cancer herself and her mom mailed the wig back to her! We've made manya joke about her hair making the rounds through the family- who knows where it will show up next?

Shaz Conway: Your after cut hair looks wicked. I loved what you did for the wedding and the fact that you donated it. You’re a beautiful human

iAmGhost: I, personally, love your new look. Especially in the segment when you went out with Alex. But what I even love more. Is the fact that you're doing it for the right thing for the right reasons.

Dcoberly Gordo2452: Your act of selfless kindness is more beautiful and touching then could ever be measured by the length of your hair. Best wishes and prayers be yours young lady.

Carol Murphy: I had admired your hair in that last TRY video. Now, I admire you, much more than your beautiful hair! ❤ How incredibly kind and thoughtful of you. My deepest respect to you for making a real difference in the life of someone who can't grow their hair. Love to you from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada! ❤❤

Elena Danese: I have had short hair my entire life, so I don't think I can relate to the trauma of cutting it, but as you said: it's for a good cause. Utmost respect for your decision, really. And you actually look super nice with short hair, you should consider keeping it this way! How you styled your hair for the wedding was amazing!!!

Mason: Whoever's reading this, I hope that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling or worrying about will be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen

eiron wyman: I donated my hair to the cancer foundation back in the mid 90's so it could be made into wigs for those suffering through chemo. My hair was half way down my back at the time and a deep auburn colour. I was one of the lucky ones in the big hair era of the 80's and 90's because it was so thick and big without hairspray! I did not tell anyone I was going to do it and the next day when I showed up for work, my boss did not recognize me, and the young lady I had just started dating left me for shaving my head....yes, I went from a crap load of hair to shaved! Lucky me I actually look good with a shaved head. lol Very kind of you to donate your hair the way you did.

Pamela Leanne Freeland: I think you look absolutely ADORABLE!!! It really suits you, especially the way you had it styled with the floral jumper at the end of the video! And the roses in the curled hair for the dress up event- gorgeous. Alex is an ass, and, in this particular instance, wrong. You look incredible! And I know how much easier it must be to wash, style, and maintain. Also, it was really cool of you to donate your hair to a charitable foundation. So many people are in need, and wigs and hair pieces are expensive (at least for good quality ones, especially real human hair!)! Thank you for your kindness and generosity in your donation and for sharing with your entire audience how they too can participate. Very cool. Love from Ohio!

Jean Grootveld: Looking fantastic Clare!! My nephew has alopecia so am extra delighted when people donate. Thank you

Azenturi: "Because it's _fourteen inches_ you clown." The delivery of that was gold. I love Alex's humor delivery so much.

Tom Graham: I have donated my hair twice to Locks of Love here in Colorado. I think you are an absolute angel for doing what you did. You are much more beautiful than any length of hair will ever determine because your beauty radiates from your soul.

TravelswithTroy: This is so amazing of you! You’re a rock star! Also, it looks adorable! You’re going to be able to do so much with it. Alex will come around. . You’ve made a difference in someone’s life. Good for you!

Patricia Morrison: I love your haircut! It looks fabulous on you. It’s so cute when you tuck it behind your ears. You can pull off ANY hairstyle. Kudos to you for donating your hair to such a worthy cause.

Trish Gift: I just want to say kudos to you for doing this. Your hair is going to make a huge difference someone who needs that little boost. Also, I think the short hair looks great. And if you (or Alex) decide you hate it, your hair will grow back.

JoAnn Bowers: I LOVE your haircut! Looks great! What a wonderful donation for those that have no hair! Good for you!

Joseph Power: You look fantastic! Also you did a great thing by donating. Love this channel.

R O N N I E: I really thought you was having fun with us as a joke. It does look good & that is a really an amazing thing you're doing. A few places here in the states also do complimentary cuts for similar reasons but they send it from the actual salon if someone's donated it.

Rain Peters: I have alopecia. I used to have very thick very long hair so when it started to fall out I did a lot of crying. You are sweet to do this Clair. Big hug. ♥️

Sean Bailey: Clare, what you have done has changed someone’s life. And you still look stunning

WP Flesh: I love when Alex gets you to laughing….Also good on ya for donating your hair

Esther Gilligan: I had bariatric surgery and also Native, before I had the surgery, I asked the band elders if I could cut my hair, normally we don't unless it's to mourn someone, I told them that I was mourning my old self and welcoming my new self. I donated my hair as well. It was just shy of 24 inches. Best decision I ever made!! I'm so happy that you donated yours!

Jen Coffman: I absolutely LOVE it!! I’ve always wanted to cut my hair SHORT but literally have had the same hair style for the last 20+years. I always chicken out when I sit my butt down in the hairdresser chair. VERY proud of you!! Love it!!

Tory Adore: Your hair looks just lovely! What you have done for someone is a true act of kindness.

Doug Buchanan: I've donated my hair 4 times. The first time was after growing it out for almost 6 years, I gave them about 26 inches. As I got older it took longer to grow the hair so they got a little less every 2 years. As a Ginger, they were very appreciative as they often have to use Strawberry Blond for the redhead kids.thank you for helping those who need it and making this video to bring attention to a worthwhile cause.

Stephen Schroeder: Clisare, even if you were completely bald, you would still be you and one beautiful human being. We love you for being you.

Sean B: Clare, your hair looks really great! And you did something awesome to help someone else. It’s too bad more people don’t do such nice things for others. Thanks for sharing!

Nakita Butcher: Claire, you, my dear, are absolutely gorgeous no matter what length hair you have!!! We love you and your caring heart! ❤️

Cody DeLisle: proud of you for doing that!! must have been hard but hopefully someone gets a beautiful wig out of it. love from Langley, BC, Canada

Tarlach Muiraigh: bless you for donating Clare!

Dunwyche: Your hair looks wonderful! I have friends who have done this, not me because I don't have any, but it's a great thing! Good on ya

Anna Yes Hj: This was so nice of you, heart warming to see. <3

Jeannine Egerton: Such a big change, but the short hair suits you so well, what a lovely thing to do Clare x ❤️

Jeff Lichtman: No need to cry. You look great, and you've done something generous and selfless. Be proud of yourself!

Theatrelover99: The short hair really suits you! Especially when you had it curled for the wedding, it's lovely! Props to you for doing such a wonderful thing! I've often thought of growing my hair out so I can donate it but having long hair gives me major dysphoria and would also be impossible for me to manage as somebody with executive dsyfunction and chronic pain.

Somer Flowers: Love love LOVE your new cut! Im sorry you’ve had some sadness over the loss of your hair. But I think your cut is so stylish and absolutely gorgeous on you!

Kalinka Sheppard: You, my dear, are a gem! A very generous act! I don't have the patience to grow mine out nearly long enough. The style looks great too!

John Goldstone: Love you, Clisare. Thank you for sharing your hair, and leading by example. My daughters did that, and I'm as proud of you as I am of them. :)

Aoife D: I absolutely love, love, love your new hair It looks so classy & I bet it's super healthy. You look amazing xx

Rebecca L Schwartz: Love the new style! It’s very flattering — it shows off your lovely cheekbones and jawline. And you’re absolutely right, it looks so much thicker now. I’m someone who tends to wait long between haircuts (I hate going to the salon), so I always feel my hair is too short when I’ve had several inches cut off. Something else to consider: Your hair will be/feel/seem so HEALTHY now. I always see it as a chance for a fresh start…no split ends, no abuse from hair ties, rough combing, etc. Enjoy the new look, play with it, have fun…and in a very short time it won’t be “too short” anymore. Love your videos!

TheEverydayPrepper: God bless you! Self-sacrifice is the deepest charity one can give. Also, you look AWESOME!

Tessy Redding: Your hair looks great both ways, you did a very kind thing ❤

Aliwant Izu: Thanks! I really respect and admire that you donated your hair. I can hardly imagine how difficult that must have been for you to do. I don't like to comment on people's appearances when I don't know them, buuuuut since that plays a (very) small part in this I will say that I thought you rocked the long hair and it really looked fab. That said, I am impressed at how incredible your short hair looks now! The style for the wedding was amazing, but I actually really love the style you have at the end when you're wearing the Teddy Fresh top and you talk about donating. It is very stylish and mod. One question, why are the measurements in inches? Not only the place in Ireland, but the place in the UK and the other place in Europe...when you spoke about the required lengths, it was all in inches, not cm. Is that a "standard" for hair stylings even in Metric nations? Sláinte! ~Be Blessed

LC40716: What a wonderful thing you did! Also, the short hair looks great and I really like what you are doing with it. Super cute!

Melissa Roe: I love it. It is difficult at first but youll get used to it. And bless your heart for donating.

Brandon Beaty: Rather good of you, Clare. Generally speaking know how women feel about their hair. If you wanted to make a big change, thoughtful way to "get rid of hair."

Bug lover: Clare, thank you for being the wonderful person you are! Your kindness and empathy for others is inspiring. Your hair was beautiful long and I must say I almost prefer it shorter but as you say it will always grow back. Alex is a lucky man, which I know he knows that no matter how much shite he gives you. From Washington state, I’ll drink to your continued good fortune and health.

Olin Bullard: Good for you Clisare ! And it’s just hair , it will grow back !

Steel city: Great job on the video and providing donation info. All for a worthy cause! ❤ Long hair, short hair, no hair - As long as we have our Clisare, there will be a smile on my face. Cheers to the Queen!

thnkx: It looks gorgeous and you have done a wonderful thing. The wedding hairstyle with the roses was amazing!

Joseph Portman: Your new hair looks absolutely stunning! You've done a fantastic thing and you should be so proud

AJ .Adams: The new cut looks amazing! So happy you donated it. I did that a while ago. It was a whole foot of hair. Keep being awesome Claire!

Stacy Fenton: I had to cut a bunch of hair when I went to basic training. My neck felts so weird afterwards. I never was able to grow it back due to it itched terrible while growing back. Awesome what you're doing.

John Chauvin: You did a great thing, Your hair was gorgeous. You are going to make some woman a very happy one. You look cute, playful and flirty with short hair. Alex is a silly man...jk. And it cut so much time off your getting ready for the day routine. Now for the viewers, it's time to do your great thing and help her channel reach more people. Please give a like make a comment or even share it to your social media pages or friends.

J. Howard Christ: Loved the long hair but you look gorgeous with short hair too. Loved the look with the rose dress. You're beautiful inside and out. I'm currently growing my hair out to donate for the 3rd time now

allfasten: Looks great and for an awesome cause. Heart of gold that woman!

Sarah Renz: Clare, you have such a petite face and great bone structure, so your hair looks good just about any old way -- you could probably rock a shaved head if you wanted! I like the way you did your hair for the wedding; it looked really cute. You did a good thing by donating your hair; just think of the self-confidence it'll bring to a patient who's struggling with hair loss.

Julie Thompson: It is so cool to find a new hero at my age (let's not focus on that ‍). I think you look beautiful with the new short cut. I think you are beautiful on the inside! Way to go, C!!!!!!!!

Bebo Rulz: I love your hair long buuuuuuut I also love your hair when YOU styled it. Looks great hun There are hair donation groups that charge the person getting the hair (here in the states) and I stay away from those ones. You did a wonderful thing and you still look stunning

Chris Stankaitis: Your short hair looks amazing. My mom is also a cancer survivor and her wig made such a big difference to her mental health during that period. When she finally had to have her head shaved and move to the wig the wig was so good looking the ladies at work just thought that she had gone to the hair dresser. I am sure your donation will make a large difference in someones life.

Travis Tomblin: Currently growing mine for this reason....Thanks for this Clare. You're one of the good ones.

Alan Taylor: Much respect and admiration for the cause. . . and you look so nice!

Sarah Beth O’Donovan: I recently also cut all my hair off, 13 inches! It’s a big change but it looks so good Clare! Long or short it’s very flattering! such a wonderful thing for you to do

Christy Nicholas, Author: Ah, your hair is stunning! Both before and after.

william warren: This is anything but "mediocre footage". Absolutely class! My roommate has been going through chemo for 5 months and lost all of her hair and is actually in the hospital today getting surgery to deal with what is left of the cancer, so this is a really special thing you have done. I hope you managed to get Alex to make all of your teas for you during the seven days after the chop!

Dulcie Fleming: A few years back I just got sick of my long hair. On a whim I went and chopped it off. My stylist was shocked at how much I let her take off. I cut off in total 26 in of hair. 24 went to the donation and the other two was you know cutting it off and trimming it up so it looked nice. I cried for about 2 days after I did it but damn it after that I loved that style that they did. If my hair ever got that long again I would do it again. By the way...I love the style of your hair and think you look absolutely fabulous.

Sandra Smith: I think it's a beautiful gesture, and the cut looks great!

Laura Vance: Love the new cut! You look beautiful and such a sweet soul to donate your hair for those without

Jayne Cambria: You look gorgeous! Such a wonderful and selfless thing to do! I’m sure Alex is proud and finds your new look very sexy. It will be hitting your shoulders in no time. It going to be fun watching it grow back! Good on you!

Jack Lowe: I love the laugh at 2:39! One thing, though: one does not get coffee to settle one's nerves. Coffee (and caffeine) jangles one's nerves. One goes to the pub, for a pint, to settle one's nerves. But you needn't have worried, Clisare. Your new haircut rocks!

Sui Generis: You’re an eyeful with the new look, well done! Also very sweet of you help others with your gorgeous red locks!

terenzo50: The title had me a bit worried, but as long as you kept your head during the process I've nothing to say but WOW! You look fantastic! Very sophisticated! Like you're going out to a symphony or an opera! And besides that, you're a truly fine human of the Planet Earth and we could use more like you. Hi to Millie! Did you ever see my note about Alex's French bit? Check your email.

Alex Rafe: You have a face and a HEAD (that’s VERY important) that lends itself wonderfully to both short, and long, hair. You looked sensational both ways, (though personally I slightly prefer it short, because it accentuates your beautiful eyes and lips). Seriously you could get a pixie cut and look FABULOUS. And think about the women who are considered the most fashionable in the world (hint French and Italian), MANY of them wear short stylish cuts. Most important of all you went ahead and did something that really took you out of your comfort zone to benefit others. To use a bit of Yiddish, that shows you are a true MENSCH!!! A round of applause for this very kind woman.

rlj38823 D: I love your hair cut, it’s super cute! I have donated my hair multiple times so I feel your pain.

Catherine Ronan: Beautiful. Well done. You’ve made someone very happy and you look great too.

Bob Chinabob: It truly looks lovely. I'm a guy who loves long hair on women but I've seen plenty of attractive short hair styles, yours is definitely very pretty. I've had a few female friends who've donated their hair as you have. It's a wonderful thing you are doing to help someone out there who's going through a difficult time and you are a wonderful person. Great video as always

CJ Mustang: I have done this twice. Good for you! It is a great feeling! The short hair looks good on you!! And it will grow back before you know it!!

ORANGE ZEN: You look amazing and your helping others that's perfect.

Todd Hall: Way to make a difference for others and embrace change as well. Hair doesn't make the girl, its the girl that makes the hair look good.

Ellery Applewhite: It looks stellar!!!! And much love to you for donating the locks. I know it will mean so much to whoever receives it!

Brian Burke: Personally I think you look great with short hair, so much better. Plus your hair is going to a good cause. Win win for everyone ❤

Gráinne Scarlett: "you're going to have a step". Alex killing it again with the one liners . I'm the same I always wash my hair before the hairdresser's..

Stevie Carr: I LOVE the haircut omfg! And I love even more that you donated your hair for this cause

diane donnachie: What a wonderful thing to do. Kudos to you.

Robert Gerrets: Well done. You, your husband, & everyone else will get used to you with shorter hair. Your aesthetics were spot on for the wedding, so you obviously know how to work with it.

gorillazfa: This is an amazing thing to do!! You're so awesome!!! If I wasn't bald I'd do the same

Dustin Rosenau: I love your short hair, and you did it for a good cause when you were already going to cut it so it's a win twice over.

Saoirse Kavanagh: Honestly Clare you look great! The short style really suits you. And fair play for taking the plunge!

Nicholas Karako: One of my classmates in art college had donated his hair to a similar charity when you decided to cut his hair. Even when he would wear his hair in a double braid like the country singer Willie Nelson. The length of his hair was around twenty four inches (60.96 cm) It was grand the hair s salon was willing to cut your hair you wanted to donate and style your hair for free. The salon my classmate had gone to would only cut the length he was willing to donate. If you wanted his hair cut/ styled he would have to pay the usual price to cut his hair done at a salon. Which is typically 20-30 dollars plus a tip for a standard male haircut vs a barber 5-10 bucks. At least by Christmas your hair will be longer and hopefully no irony like in the short story, The Gift of the Magi By O. Henry.

Christopher Gilbransen: You look terrific and you did a good thing. Awesome!

Chas Dean: Oh girl, you're doing such good work. I'm glad that I saw your Try vid with super long hair (and that I didn't say anything inappropriate). Still very proud making <3

Melissa Eichmann: Your short is gorgeous Clare! I like the straight look best but the curled is good too. It's a bummer Alex doesn't like it, but hey too late now LOL! I'm sure he's proud of the donation though,

Robert Nichols: You look super great in your new hair cut. Nothing to add about your husbands super supportive reaction to your new hair.

Ashley Busby: Absolutely LOVE the cut. Looks so smashing on you doll!! And what a gem of a reason to do so! Aces all around!

drew: Love the new haircut on you! and you've done a good thing to so, good on ya

Aundria C Premo: Luckily, you seem to have pretty thick hair! You'll be great! Thank you for being the kind, beautiful soul that you are, Clare.

GIJoeJarhead: You're a SUPERSTAR!! Thanks for using your social media platform for such great things! And your new hairdo looks awesome!

Steve Brooks: You look stunning with short hair and all for a great cause well done and you'll be in Santa's nice book .
