Long Ponytail With Clip-In Extensions For Black Hair + Review | 4C Natural Hair?! | Jaichanellie

Hola Chanellies Welcome back to my channel. Welcome to my channel if you've never been before., My name is Jaila, also known as JaiChanellie on the internet, so that is where you can find and follow me, and I saw Raven Elyse do a hair tutorial on IGTV and I wanted to try for myself., Okay, She used clip-in hair extensions to give herself a ponytail, and that is exactly what we have tried to do today.. So if you want to see how I did this with kinky clip-ins, okay, Natural hair clip-ins go ahead and keep on watching.. So thank you to Sams Beauty for sending me over these clip-ins.. So I'm not new to clip-ins, specifically from this line.. So this is the Sensationnel Curls Kinks & Co. line.. I actually already have a video on clip-ins from this line. I'll link it right here and they were blowout clip-ins, So they were meant to mimic blown out natural hair.. Now these clip-ins, on the other hand, are meant to mimic 4c natural hair.. So if you are new here, my hair is considered 4a 4b hair., And when I was looking at the different options, I don't believe they had a 4a 4b option.. I think it went from 3c and then 4c. So I chose the 4c because I feel like I can work more with a 4c than I could with 3c.. Let'S see what they look like up, close. So stock card is giving me all types of life. There are nine different clip-ins here., And this is what they look like up close.. So I actually really like the way these look on first glance., So I'm gon na take one of these smaller clip-ins that I'm most likely not going to use for my ponytail and I'm just going to rake my fingers through this and see how much we can Fluff this thang up., So already we are able to get that kinky. Look that kinky texture. And I'm here for it.. So this is what we are looking like now compared to how the hair actually comes., So you can definitely Definitely kink it out.. I want to see if we can actually do a ponytail with this., So I want a naturally curly ponytail.. I actually saw Raven Elyse try this with some straight clip-ins.. I wan na see what it would look like if we use clip-ins that are closer to our natural hair texture.. So let's go ahead and get started. So remember we have a total of nine clips.. These are the shortest ones that we have.. I'M going to put these ones to the side and I'm going to go in with the longest one so far.. This is what the clips look like. They are nice and sturdy.. This is how Raven did it okay. Listen., I'm just copying. What Raven did i her tutorial. Go ahead and check it out? It'S an IGTV tutorial. I'll leave it linked down below, but I'm just copying what my good sis did, and hopefully it comes out as good as hers came out.. Okay, So she took the first clip, opened it and we're gon na stick it in close the clip and then keep wrapping up. Taking the second sticking it in Closing the clip and then keep wrapping. Okay.. So this is what it looks like so far., I'm going to repeat that same process.. Okay, that's all the hair. I think I'm gon na be able to add.. As you can see, I kind of ran out of braid space.. So there's nothing else. I can really do.. This is what we're looking like as far as length goes.. We don't really have a lot of movement, But I just think that's the nature of the hair.. So now I'm gon na try to like frizz this up a little bit. Give us a little bit more body Just because we're working with natural hair, you know we got ta, see what we can give.. I definitely do see those clips sticking out y'all. I actually just took some hair and wrapped it around the base to conceal it.. So just so you know during this process I did lose some hair.. So a couple of things to note do I think I covered these clip-ins very well Um, no, not at all.. I actually struggled in this area right here, which you can probably see some clip-ins. Probably chile., But as far as the concept of sticking in the clip ins clipping them in that works, really well. So shoutout to Raven Elyse.. I wanted to try this out for myself.. Let me get to the claims of this specific product., So this is designed to mimic 4c hair.. It says they are full-bodied, lightweight and easy to blend.. So let's talk the pros and cons. Pros. I do like these curls in their manipulated state.. I like how big and frizzy it can get. I like that it can mimic natural hair in it's non-super defined state.. I don't think this hair is like too shiny and sometimes the sheen of clip-ins will give you away.. Okay, Not all natural hair is created. Equally, not every person has a natural sheen to their hair and your hair can be 100 percent healthy without sheen.. So I like the fact that this doesn't have too much of a sheen on it.. It'S still very believable and looks like natural hair., Some cons. You do have some shedding with this product, which is okay with me, because natural hair does shed., Especially when you're just raking your fingers through it not being careful not using a comb or styling tool or anything like that.. Another con is that I do think I bent one of the clip combs with my natural hair. Just by sticking it in my natural hair., So just be careful with that. Other than that, like I could have, did a different style. I probably could've did a better style, better execution of the style, but it's not bad like., She's, cute or whatever. Y'all. I have to tell y'all that I went and put my glasses on so I could see - and I looked at the way this ponytail was looking and we're not feeling her., Okay, so she's now a bun., Maybe the whole clip-in idea was a fail.. Maybe I just need to try some different clip-ins, a different texture. I don't really know. Imma, try it again, because I think it's an ingenious idea but ....
