How To Drawstring Ponytail On Natural Hair> Natural Hairstyles

Hey curlfriends and welcome back In today's tutorial, I'm going to show you guys how to attach that DIY drawstring ponytail on natural hair., If you missed that tutorial, be sure to click the `` i'' above to checkout, how we created this DIY, drawstring ponytail.. You can attach this on dry or wet hair.. I personally prefer freshly washed hair so that I can get my hair, nice and sleek and as flat as possible. Like I said you can do this on dry hair.. This is what my dry hair looked like.. I'M grabbing some gel some Eco Styler gel just to get my hair as sleek as possible. As you guys can see. It lays so much more flatter with wet or damp hair.. I went ahead and separated my hair in the front to create that side. Part.. I wanted a nice little swoop type of ponytail with a little parting on the side., I'm just basing down one section.. I just want to make sure that it's going to be able to reach the back of my head where the poof is. My hair, draws up. Really short with shrinkage when it's super wet., So it's a little bit of a tough time to get it into that ponytail.. But once you do go ahead and wrap it into the ponytail and move onto the next section.. Do it one section at a time that way your hair reaches the ponytail. There we have it One whole entire side is done.. Now we're going to go ahead and move onto that swoop, part and just base down this side with a lot of gel.. If you have to separate the hair throughout the entire head and put gel throughout your hair to be able to smooth it down even more flatter., But my hair laid down pretty flat with just this little bit of gel., I'm braiding down the ponytail to get it Nice and as small as possible, so that when I attach the ponytail, it's not sticking out.! Here we go. I have my nice little bun in place., I'm just going to retouch my entire bun, with some more gel that way. It'S nice and sleek., I'm using some more Eco Styler gel to lay down my edges. I like to do this before. I finish the hairstyle and attach the ponytail that way, I'm not adding on gel with the synthetic hair as well.. This is the final bun. I'M grabbing my drawstring ponytail.. This is the drawstring here.. When we pull it open. There'S this nice little spot to place over the bun., I'm placing it over the bun, then I'll just pull the drawstring taught. It tightens up, and I can pretty much just wrap it around the bun. Just like a natural ponytail., We created this drawstring ponytail on a weaving cap. So it's a little bit droopy.. I just pretty much lifted the middle of this ponytail and bobby pinned it into place just to give it more height to the ponytail.. I'M going to separate the ponytail while it's on my head., You can separate it off of your head., But because I just created it, I didn't really know the shape of it or where I would need to cut.. I would much rather fluff it on my head and just go back in and cut off any excess areas., I'm using a regular satin scarf to hold my hair in place. While I go ahead and get this ponytail together., This is going to allow your ponytail to come out really extremely flat and sleek.. I'M just going to leave it on for 5-10 minutes of so and work with this ponytail in the meantime.. I'M fluffing it out. Even more and separating the curls even cutting off any super long, weird, looking pieces., I'm just going to fluff the ponytail into place, and that's it It's really that simple guys Super cute right.
