Blonde To Redhead: How To Fake Ponytail Amazon

In this video I show you how to go from blonde short hair to a having a long faux ponytail. I purchased this ponytail from amazon, but it is currently out of stock. That is why I did not specifically make a product review, however this brand (Stamped Glorious) has ponytails available in other hair colors.

Steps:

1. Make a high ponytail with your hair

2. Braid your ponytail

3. Insert Fake ponytail

4. Wrap piece of hair around to disguise the fake hair

5. Use magic root cover up to change hair color and/or make fuller edges.

So i did film the beginning, the intro of this video with blonde hair um and then after i realized that i had a horrible angle, and so i did create this faux pony, look with blonde hair under this, and i will be showing you that and i Just wanted to give you a quick list: if you want to prep to do this, so you will purchase a pony right um, i would suggest you find a cheap one off of amazon. I will link a couple of options down below um. They often come with this little packet that has bobby pins and hair tie. If it doesn't, those are really inexpensive right. You probably have some at home, so you will need a hair tie to do the pony under and bobby pins, to secure the hair around and also to secure going around to make it seamless. You will need the cover up. If you're changing your hair color, you will need hairspray to really pull back the hair um. I use a brush to put up my ponytail and then i use this kind of result brush to really smooth it out um. You will also use this to make the cover-up color look seamless, because otherwise you will literally look like you spray painted your head, and you don't want that. So you want to be able to spray this and then bristle it out, so that it gives a hair natural hair effect. With that being said, let's get started on the tutorial going to do is pull my hair back in a ponytail, and obviously that is the first step. I would assume that that is obvious. Okay, now you can obviously do it as low or as high as it is your preference and the more that you can pull back and cover the less that you're going to have to take care of after right. So we're down here there's all this hair that you have to make sure matches um. But if you get it really nice and high, then you really care about what frames your face, because the ponytail really is so full and long that it's gon na take care of the back. We don't have to worry about that worry about the front. The back will be covered, it's so cute and ugly um. So we have a ponytail feet to braid your pony, nice and tight so that it's easy to cover this doesn't really matter because again it will be under the pony. So just so, you start to get an idea um. This ponytail comes with a clip here that you're going to insert, and it also comes with an already like measured out strip of hair, that you will tie around to cover um the strips so that people can't tell that it's fake. So right at the root of the pony, not the root of my hair, color right so right at the hair tie would be this so that it's nice and smooth. I think i like that. Did you see and remember this poor pony has been to a festival and has been to a couple of parties and so she's not in her best shape, but she still works and she was really inexpensive. So i like it this high and make sure that this is secure, grab the extension of hair to wrap it around of a pony that it can cover. So now you're just going to twist this around and it does have velcro so that it can stick to the bottom of the pony and then you're just wrapping around this hair, like hairstylists, do even when it's your natural hair you'll often see. This just makes your pony look more dressy, so now figure out what looks good for you and you're just going to use bobby pins um to put it together. So this is the pony on right, but um we're not done here, because i want it to look very seamless and i also just want it to look good and i don't like the way my baby hairs grow. I just honestly, i look like i'm bald. That is the reason that i initially bought this um. So if you were just you have red hair and you struggle with this um, i would suggest buying this and certainly buy it for cover up if you're going to have a faux ponytail. That is a different color than the color. That'S on your head. We'Re gon na use this package to mark our edges and this hairspray. Well, this cover-up spray you're going to do it very lightly um. I learned this the hard way because when i first purchased it, it's like a it's like spray paint exactly like spray paint if you've ever used it if you've ever seen it be used. If you just it's going to create almost like a circle kind of paint right, because it's just going to be directly there, it's an aerosol, so you have to spray it around and you have to be very quick and very light about it, so that it looks Natural, essentially, that is the key, that's the tip, and i am going to demonstrate it now um and there it is so you can see um that straight up looks like paint, and that is the reason i said you would need a brush like this um, because If you just brush this out, it'll look a lot more natural. So now i got a little bit of my on my face. So what i'm going to do is touch up my makeup so that you can see that then you can hair spray over it um! It'S pretty durable, um, and so the same thing is what you'll be doing with whatever color you have under right. It might be blonde like me, it might be a different color. You just cover it up so that it mixes together and you can see the difference from trying to hide that we have. Oh, my god. I think i just ran out um. So this is us with a red pony and same here, but you know this. Is you can see the blonde that i didn't cover? You can see my weird baby, hair, baldness um, and this also comes with a little extension or like synthetic hair, brush um, which does work really well with it um, and so that is what i use to bring it back to life after it's been out to Party, like i said, i don't pay too much attention to the back, just because she is so full that you will not see anything but the frame of your face on the back um. I think i just ran out of this. I will be buying it because clearly like this is a look. This is worth um. However many dollars, this is, let's look it up target or walmart. You can find the magic root cover up for 9.99 and this wavy 22 inch ponytail is on amazon for only 14.99. So what is that for 25 dollars? You can be a whole new person, see it's worth it um. So anyway, i think this is done. Wow. It is see that it's not covering my baldness, the feeling that i get from changing my hair, it's just so fun um. If you do have any questions just leave them down below. I will try to answer questions as soon as possible. I will also leave links to the products that i use and yeah. Thank you so much for watching this and for adventuring with me into a different look.
