Sleek Crochet Ponytail For All Hair Lengths

Welcome to my channel!

I was originally inspired by the Jazz Nicole brainless crochet method but my hair is long and thick. I just could not, for the life of me, get it right!

Soooooo, I went for a more traditional crochet install with the twist of leaving your edges out, like you would for a high ponytail sew-in. The finished look is this super sleek and VERSITILE faux ponytail that lasts weeks.

This is also great for a protective style if you use hair that matches your texture!

Haebang so today I'm going to show you guys how you get this super sweet, cheap and easy crochet ponytail that you can keep it in for a couple of weeks if you're low on time. It was just super easy for me, so see you guys have to split, keep watching we're going to start off with some super clean and blow-dried and moisturized natural hair and we're going to take it there we're going to take it to the next level. The next week promise level reach so we're going to start off by parting off a two to four inch section around the perimeter of your client or your hair. Depending on the thickness of your hair, the area, that's down, I'm going to braid up and leave out of the way this is going to be our leave out and the part in the middle is what we're about to braid. So we're going to start off by sectioning out a really thin like sliver of hair. They were going to make the perimeter braid with this. Braid is what's going to keep everything sleek. This is what's making the pleat ponytail sleek. I originally saw a rubberband method that I loved, but my hair was just too long and too thick to kind of blend in that like that way, so I found this way and the braids kind of to make it a little bit thinner. So you have to blend as much hair with the leave and, as you can see, the perimeter braid is getting a little bit chunkier, you know towards the middle. She looks sick right now. The reason that this braid is getting thicker is because towards the middle it doesn't have to be as small, because the pony tails going to be sitting right there. So it'll be fine, like you. Don'T have to worry so much about that area of the braid. You don't want to be just sloppy, but it does have to be perfect. Now, instead of us sewing this tail, the braid down, I'm going to crochet it through the middle portion of our braid. You don't want to bring this crochet. You don't want to bring the tail to the edge of the brains just because you want that to stay as sleek as possible on the outside, so we're going to just crochet it around this circle here that I'm creating in the middle. For this final brain, it look and now we're going to add some autre expressions, Dominican, blowout here, which I'm obsessed with. I did the style of myself before I did it on her, and I wore it for about two weeks is here with gorgeous the whole time and it's pre looped, which is awesome now, I'm starting in the middle, and that's just to create an anchor for myself. Where I'm going to place another pre looped section about 3/4 of an inch to an inch from one another around this entire first braid and here in the corner, where these two braids kind of overlaps to create the perimeter areas. I'M going to kind of crochet through both braids and that's just going to make that a little bit more seamless there. So, as you can see there, it just looks super seamless around that perimeter portion and I'm continuing around the entire head. I could have did smaller sections because, as you'll see later, I have to come back and fill in some gaps, but it's cool. So, as you can see here, I'm just going in to filling in a few gaps, and this is the final outer perimeter section now we're just going to stagger and put a portion of hair in between where there isn't up. You know in between the portions. Are here on the first round, just to kind of stagger it and give the middle a more full look? This is what's going to create that supernatural. Look! It'S not so molded down as if you were to do a weave ponytail like bonded in or a clip-on ponytail. This creates fullness from the root of the ponytail to the tip it makes it look way way way more natural for me, and now I am leaving a little bit more space towards the middle, because you're not going to be able to see it as well. It'S just serving the purpose of creating fullness and you don't need much hair to do that. Let'S 2017 be about fullness, your hair, full lips, full pockets, full so yeah, and now I'm going to gather the ponytail and kind of detangle make sure it's snitch and I see if you get that I am not liking. So I'm going to go in, spend a minute, honey and just am honey. This is when you go. You see this ponytail is so cute trim off any random excess hair to the bottom, and I was going to trim the ponytail, but I'm not just because I feel like it looks super cute and kind of belated at the bottom. I was filling in so I just looked it alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'M just going to pull some nice and kind of tighten them to get that back area as sleek as possible, and then I'm going to secure the ponytail with just a crochet hair with a rubber band. You could use a scrunchie, but I'm going to the scrunching on top of her hair and want some slicked on top, and I don't want that area to be bulky like you see how smooth and just natural that looks, I love it. So we're going to use a brush and kind of smooth her real hair up into the ponytail around the crochet ponytail as well - and this is just going to be the kind of blended and I'm going to secure this with a leather rubber band. I was going to use this crunchy, but the rubber band gave me like the. I don't know that is like. I love a ponytail with like your real hair, wrapped around a rubber band. That'S super cute and sleek, but if you also get a little bit more casual and just natural looking, it just seems to just literally be coming out of her scalp and I loved it. So I'm going to take a little bit of gel and sleek. You know. I kind of slick up on it so down a bit just to make sure it stays in place. I'M going to put some on her real hair on top of the actual ponytail as well, so make sure that that kind of just blends seamlessly take my toothbrush put a little water and we're going to get these baby herrings like hard honey. I don't know what maybe want to do this very Betty Boop at sideburn, but when it was done like I was living for it like living for. If I can move my place out the way please defeat, and if you love my nails guys, I have a $ 5.00 DIY nail tutorial up, go check it out. You is she about to do the back baby here. Yes, I am. I cannot help myself. I had to slay the hole all the way honey go harder go home, so I hid these back baby hairs as well for a 360 use bomb and speechless and clearly she's feeling herself. I was feeling it couldn't get her to stop taking selfies if you loved it guys. If you want to try it comment, let me know I
