How To Get The Sleekest Ponytail Ever On Short Natural Hair | Better Length | Eva Williams

You can tell from the title of this video i'm going to show you guys how to get a sleek low ponytail. You already know i'm like the queen of slip bags, because i don't get me started like i got hella slip back videos, but a little. I can't even talk but um. I got some equipment, i was excited, but my hair was not long like it didn't look like this thing. It didn't look like this, like it didn't look like this. It was like probably about this long. It was really short, so you know all day on it. This is the ponytail right here: y'all, it's a fake ponytail you just put on and i'm gon na be wearing this like what are y'all. What are you thinking? What are you doing? I'M gon na be wearing this because, like why not - and i just love the curl pattern on it like when i brush it, it looks like natural hair now the curl, i think the only reason the curl pattern looks literally from my hair is because this hair Is longer than my hair, so the curls are going to hang lower. You know because my hair is not long, but other than that. I think it is about the same texture, so anyways um, oh, i feel like i'm too close up hold on uh. Oh, that's too far up so the first thing you're gon na need, or whatever you're, going to whatever you're going to use flick your hair back um. I don't need no water, so you don't need no water. Unless your hair dry you're going to need some gel and you already know, i've been using edge booster because it's really good like it's really good. Okay, the the con about it is that it's like greasy ish a little and it like it just feels a little weird. You know it's a little greasy and i didn't know that when i first started doing it until i did a ponytail look - and i was like oh this stuff greasy but you're gon na need a brush. You'Re gon na need some brush. Some braces, you're gon na need a brush. I got two different brushes. This brush is for like to get it all up. This brush is to get it up once it's done. This brush is harder than this brush um and you're. Also gon na need some hair ties. So basically is all you need so uh if your hair is longer than mine or if your hair was thicker than mine. I would advise you to start in sections because that's what your girl is gon na do i'm finished starting some sections right, quick and go ahead, and you know slick all this down. Oh so yeah, so i'm just gon na detangle this all day. So i'm not gon na talk through this, because this is like, like i say, i'm the queen of stickbacks. I got hella slipbacks on my channel, so yeah, i'm gon na do a middle part this time this time, because i did a side part last time. Let'S do the middle part this time so yeah, i'm gon na shut up, and i'm just gon na sleep this down. Okay, so some of my hair is already sleek. Well, some of it most of it is already sleek and i'm going with a little bit more gel. Now this part is totally optional. What i'm gon na do is go in with some pomade and i'm gon na get another hair tie real quick, because i like to make sure that all of this is gon na be sleek, and i'm actually tie my hair down this time. If you haven't watched my other one, where i did a review, basically on style factor, then you know you can go watch that i'm gon na go get another hair tie real, quick, though so hold up. Okay, now that i have my other hair tied all that i'm gon na go out with this pomade, as you guys can see, my hair is like really sleek right now, but the palmette is what's gon na make all this stuff hold together. So i'm gon na take about this much. You know it depends if your hair really long take a lot, but you know, like i said my hair, that long and my hair is actually very kind of easier to manage. Sometimes my mind gon na sit up here. A lot of y'all, sometimes this stuff, gives me a run for my money. Okay, i just go in with this and brush it. Basically, all this does is makes it more shiny, makes it more. Sleeker gives it more of a neater finish and all that something. This is my harder brush that i'm going in with girls makes you have a harder brush, because you know sometimes them other brushes, don't be working, and i got this brush from the dollar store, but of course the brush got harder. The more i used it. Of course, like all that build up in there, that sounds so nasty, but it's the truth. It got harder so um and they're, probably like girls gon na, do your edges. I will do my edges after i let this sit and after i take my hair scarf off and all that stuff. So where is my head scarf? Actually, is it in here? Oh here's, my hair, scarf, i'm going with this black little scarf that i got because i needed a new one. My other ones are just ugly and nasty, so yeah, i'm gon na. Let this sit, i'm gon na. Do my makeup y'all! Look how slick this is! Look, oh sleek, sleek, sleek sleek. Now some parts are kind of like you know doing whatever they want to do, but you're gon na have some hairs that do that. Okay, so don't don't don't get too upset so um. I'M gon na take this and tie this down and make sure this is sleek and they don't go nowhere and i'm probably just gon na do some makeup. Do not do some makeup, like i'm gon na just do my makeup and get cute and all that clothes and all that and we'll come back for you guys so stay tuned to see the results on how this turned out. Yo. Okay, you guys i'm looking like a betty now eyelashes on shirt on looking cute or whatever. So now we can go ahead and get into what it's looking like. I don't know how it took me like 30 minutes to do my makeup today, so it took me a little longer than usual, so this had a lot before this video even keep going y'all do not mind that my makeup is not blended. On my forehead, i am going to fix it y'all, i don't know it's. Sometimes it takes me a long time because i don't know what i be doing but um. So this is how it's looking y'all, oh really, sleek. It'S looking really sleek the only thing. I'M gon na go in and do now is my edges. I'M trying to fight, i don't use pomade actually for edges, i'm using my handy dandy, eco styler, because eco styler works best for edges with me, because i use those for my edges. Actually, i'm gon na try to stop vector again. It'S like i'm, not really a fan with a style factor when it comes to my edges. You know i don't know i'ma just see what i'm gon na do with my edges, real quick. So no, i don't ever go that way. Why am i swooping it that way? I always swoop it this way. Y'All, it's been a minute, so i don't do some edges. I ain't gon na care. I'Ve been in the house, y'all. Probably like girl, you don't even post like that, no more honey. It'S i got a lot of grown folk stuff going on. Let me stop playing so i'm moving. If y'all don't know if you are new. Yes, i'm moving, so i've been um getting all that and lined up for when i move and all that you know because this stuff you got to do before you can move it all day all day. So that's what i've been doing, but um basically y'all. This is how i do my edges, but anyway just stay tuned for more in depth, video of all that what's going on, because i don't like to speak on stuff until you know it's done, because people be praying on your downfall baby. So no i'm just gon na shut up, but um anyways um. Let me see, is this turning out kind of cute over here. I don't really know how under my edges over here, so i'm just going to scoop them like this hold on. Let me see, i'm just going to shut up and do my edges y'all, because i can't talk and do these things. Okay, y'all. This is how my edges are turning out to be honest, they're, not looking the cutest and i'm not really feeling them. I had to use eco styler gel for my edges because for some reason style factor it dries to it. Okay, it'll hold your edges, it just drops too fast for me and i like to go in and play with them and on it like right. Now, i'm not really feeling this either. So it's like you know at least eco style. It gave me a little time to you know, play with it and see how i want to wear them. Oh edge factor be like baby. This is how you gon na, wear it and you're gon na leave it alone. I think it's time to wear it. I'M gon na leave them alone. I think that's what they looking like um. This is what they look like up close um, it's giving me, i don't know vibes like. I don't really think i like this, but it's like. I can't really do too much because it's because of the style that it's in and i got curly hair, so it's like they kind of rolled up which is okay but we're just gon na i'm gon na just play with those later i'm probably gon na leave. It like this, though, to be honest, but um y'all. This is the ponytail. I just wan na show what it looks like it comes with a comb right here in a comb right here and basically all you do. Y'All is oh, it also comes with a like a string right here. This is going to be so easy and quick y'all, like one two three set go you're gon na take this pin the pins that come on there and you're just gon na like i wish. I could show you all really can't y'all just pin it on then you're gon na take this handy dandy, string that they give you and you're gon na um pull this clip right here hold on. Let me see my little clip keep coming out. You'Re gon na tighten it with this and boom you're, going to tell ain't going nowhere and i did wash your hair now when the hair comes. You don't look all you know, delicious and stuff like that. You got ta wash it oh and also y'all. So you know i'm gon na take this string and just wrap it around i'ma go back, of course, with some hair and wrap around as well, because you know i don't want to be able to see that so i'm gon na take some hair from up under Here you know, i don't need a lot of hair just a little bit brush this out. Y'All, i'm glad they sent me some something like this, because i've been going to the hair store. Looking for something like just something like this, just something in particular something kind of like this, but you know the hairstyle - they don't really have stuff like this, and if they do it's behind the counter and baby, i can't see if it's behind the counter so um. Oh i'm trying to pick up this bobby, pin, you're gon na take a bobby, pin and we're gon na do is. Pin this down in here hold on you just pin that in there i'm gon na go back through and just wet it up a little more. But i don't want it drenched away. I like the curly look or whatever y'all better length, do have some balm natural curly hair. To be honest, better ones have the best clippings to me to me. You know just to me: they have clippings for the best like this actually could be my real hair, because my edges match. I hate saying y'all, probably gon na be on my head for this one, but i hate seeing girls with ponytails and their edges don't match you don't be one of those okay so like to be honest, if i was to go out my edges match this. You know like because i don't see somebody edges not if the edge is not there or the edges are straightened, don't go with the hair, so i'm like dang, do your edges to where it can look. Believable believable, at least like make me double tape. Take a double look, you know what i'm saying, but um, i'm gon na go back in these eight fix my edges up over here, because i'm over here playing and smiling because i look good now but um, i'm gon na come back and answer this video once I fix this edge over here.
