Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel, it's Danny and today's video, I'm going to show you how to make this beautiful, messy, bun, beanie or pony tail hat is a very, very easy project. And if you like these kind of videos, please don't forget to subscribe to my channel and if you want to learn how to make this beautiful hat, just keep watching the video and for this project. I'M gon na be using two colors of Lion Brand thick and quick. It is a yarn number six super bulky. You don't have to use two colors. If you don't want you can just make one, but for this project I just want to make two different colors. One for the brim and one for the top, I'm also gon na use a pair of needles round needles of 9 millimeters, and I'm also gon na use a scissors and a stitch marker to begin I'm gon na cast on 44 stitches. If you need more, you can of course do more or if you need less, you can do less stitches, just keep in mind that it has to be even numbers. This is why we are making now 44. So when you have your 44 stitches now we're gon na start row number 1. So take your stitch marker and put it on the right needle and remember to make the first stitch. We take two strands together. That means these little tail or end and the other long yarn that comes from the skin so to begin, we gon na need 1 taking both strands together and then we're gon na purl, one again with two strands together and when we have those two stitches. Those two first stitches: we can just leave the little tail aside and just keep knitting with a long yarn or the long strand, and for this first row we're gon na keep doing the same pattern, need one and purl one knit one and purl one and we're Gon na go ahead and keep doing that all the way around until we complete row number one when we are ready with the row number one now we're gon na start row number two so take your stitch marker and put it into the right needle now. Remember always when we start row number two we have in here the first and the second stitch that we did. That is with two strands together, so we have to make sure to need with those two strands together and no separate, because we're going to be increasing if we take separate so take both together and need one and then the second stage, the same thing and purl. One and now you don't have to worry again about the first and the second stitch so now keep knitting all the way around knit one and purl one and we're gon na repeat the sequence. Until we have nine rows in here, I did my nine rows and now I'm gon na cut my yarn because I wan na change the color. If you don't want to change the color, you just have to keep knitting with the same yarn, so I'm gon na take the new color and I'm gon na start the next row. So now I'm gon na start the next row and to need the next row. I'M just gon na take my yarn like this and hold it, and this beanie is very easy. I'M just gon na need all the way around my entire hat. From now to the end of our project, we are just gon na need, so keep doing this keep knitting in every single road. We'Re gon na make 15 rows and, like I said, I'm just gon na need every single stitch so go ahead and do that until you complete 15 rows in here. I have my 15 rows ready now you can take those two ends and make a few knots. So you don't gon na, have the loose there and now to make the top of her hat. We are gon na. Do two rows with decreases so the first row we're gon na need two and decrease one, and that means take two stitches together like this. So we are gon na keep doing this all the way around we're gon na need two and we're gon na decrease. One take two stitches together. Keep doing this all the way around until you complete this row now we are gon na. Do one more row with decreases so take your stitch marker and put it in to the right and needle. So now we are gon na need one and decrease one so take two stitches together and need them and you're going to keep doing this. All the way around need one and decrease one until we complete this row. So now I'm gon na close, my beanie, leaving that opening on the top that allows me to put my hair out. So if you know how to close a scarf, for example, this is gon na. Be super easy for you. So take the stitch marker and put it aside and to close this beanie. We are gon na. Take that right, needle and place every single stitch as possible in the left needle. So what we gon na do is need two stitches together and then we're gon na put this stitch back into the left. Needle and now we are gon na do the same. We'Re gon na take two stitches together and we are gon na need them and again put that stitch back in the left. Needle and you're gon na keep doing this all the way around until we complete this row so take two stitches together and then put that stitch back in the left needle and keep knitting and doing this until you complete this row. So when we have one stitch left, we are gon na just cut the yarn and pull that stitch, so we can just hide it after so pull the yarn, and now what you're gon na do is take your tapestry needle and make a few knots. You can see in here like a little opening. You can just go ahead and close that choose to place and you, your tapestry needle on the left side and making a little knot. This is the way that I make my messy bun beanies. I really like this way. If you want, for example, your opening to be bigger, do you have to do less decreases and that way you can just leave your opening a little bit bigger. So now make sure to hide super super good that end, and then you can just cut your yarn, and this is how your ponytail hat or messy bun Benicia looks like, as you can see, is a very easy and fast project.
