What'S up team dms, it's the master stylist and i am back with another video, so i see everybody doing 90s do even though this is like late late, 90 early 2000s. No, this is like late. This is a late 90s late, late, 90s hairdo something different um. I wanted to actually do like well, not really a microwave ponytail, because i was going to put it the hair under the dryer, but you know the same concept, but we didn't have time to do that, so i'm just gon na end up hand, curling um, the Ponytail but anyway i am using the murray's black beeswax and i did not speed this part up just so. You guys can get a good look at it and um you're really just doing a lot of smoothing. Just a lot of smoothing, combing and smoothing her hair is short so uh she actually usually have a pixie and you guys have seen her in several other videos of mine. So, with the hair being short, it just makes it a little bit more harder, but we we got it. I got it anyway. Now this spritz that i'm using is by bronner brothers. It is called spritz and shine which it pretty much is the professional version of pump it up. That'S all now the one thing that i didn't do was, i forgot: having done a ponytail in like forever um she's holding her head down so when she's holding her head down and she lifts it up, the back is going to crinkle. So i forgot to have her have her head up while i'm doing the back so that it doesn't do that. So that was a mistake i made, but, like i say i haven't done a high ponytail like this, like a sleep ponytail in forever, like ever, you can see where the hair is kind of folding, so i'm just going to take the ponytail loose and redo it. So this time it's nice and tight, no humps, no lumps no bumps. So once we get to the front area, i am putting the tracks in um front to back. Normally, you know you do back the front, but i always used to find this way was easier when doing what we used to call ocean waves. So i'm putting the hair in and like a horseshoe, which i probably should have, did it more in like a horseshoe shape, but uh half circle. I don't know curved part. However, you want to call it um all the way back. I did not double the tracks. I just did one weft in there about a half inch, a part, maybe and just doing that, all the way to the back of the parting. So now i'm just going to take my main midfoam and i am just going to start waving uh. The only difference is you're doing just like a regular wave. The way you would, but when you get to the ridge of the wave i'm just pushing it kind of um more exaggerated than i normally would so that the wave will have some height. So you can see just going back and really exaggerating the waves back in the days i used to use two combs, but uh i've gotten so used to using my finger in a comb till the two combs were just kind of weird so um. I don't know if i'll be able to go back to that uh. I i don't know i i it wasn't working for me, but, however, you get it done. That'S how you get it done. The main thing is exaggerating those waves so that she has some height and i'm just going to take a couple: double prong clips and some duckbill clips to kind of hold the wave right at the ridge and on the corners so to dry it'll be flat. I'Ve twisted the remainder of the hair around the ponytail and i'm just going to spray some spritz and then, when i'm wrapping the ponytail, i'm going to wrap it well, i am wrapping it in the same direction in which i have the hair underneath twisted. So it's not unraveling, while i'm putting the ponytail on you can see in the back where it was kind of it's crinkly because, like i said she had her hair down and when she put her head back well her head down when she put her head back. Um it kind of bunched up, but i'm taking a tinkle razor just doing some long layers in the ponytail this my cousin, i was actually gon na - do use the curlers, but i was lazy, so i just curled it with the um flat iron same results. Angelo Carr: Growing up we called this a "Lucy" where i'm from. Females used to rock this with flat twists in the side and a high pony tail! at least 4- 5 of them would be in the line up. LOVE LOVE LOVE this! There was a girl in my high school who was rocking a "LUCY" in 2010! :-)
