Afro Curly Human Hair Maintenance For Reborn Dolls

That'S the name of this sculpt and I am just gon na - do a quick hair tutorial before I get this baby ready to be sent home to her new mommy. So please stay tuned. Okay, so baby Anik here she was verted with human hair and the type of human hair she was rooted with is an afro kinky hair. So it has a rough texture very similar to natural african-american hair, all right, but it has lots of curls and when you are styling this hair or just maintaining it, there are some important things that you need to do to prevent them all out to prevent. You know her hair from breaking off, so that's the purpose of this tutorial, alright, so her hair right now is in rubber bands and whenever you want to freshen up a ponytail style and the baby has rubber bands, the best thing to do is just to cut Them out and just to start fresh with the new set of rubber bands. So that's what I'm doing now being careful not to cut her hair alright. So let's get these bands out! Okay vans are out. I'M not gon na. Do this side on camera I'll. Do this side because YouTube limits the amount of time I have alright so now what you want to do is go ahead and get the baby nice and covered. Let me get a alright, so Yannick is nice and covered now we're protecting her dose late body. Alright. So I've made another hair tutorial with what I use for my conditioning solution. Basically, you just want to take your home conditioner that you use put five pumps of it in this bottle. Add water fill it up, shake it real good. Sometimes you may have to let it sit overnight so that everything just completely dissolves, but this is what I use to conditioned babies with both human hair and mohair. So for this baby, I'm gon na go ahead and just start saturating. Her hair fully saturating it with the conditioning solution. At this point, if you have any types of blue jeans or sprays, you can use those. You don't have to use this, but I use this kenra blow-dry spray because it's a very light mist and it just helps to give just good-good shine to human hair. So again, this is a kenra blow-dry spray. I get that from my baby store because I'm a licensed, I have my license for nails that I can also purchase hair products from there alright. So anyway, the biggest thing you want to do is to detangle from the ends and then work your way to the roots. Don'T start combing from the roots, because you're gon na pull her hair out. We try very hard to glue this hair underneath of the vinyl head, but you know if you're pulling from the roots you're gon na pull the hair out. So first after the hair is saturated, you're gon na start detangling from the ends. Okay, so you see how nicely that's detangling, then you want to slowly slowly work your way up to the top okay, slowly, slowly, okay, again start at the ends and then work your way to the root again just on one side on camera, because it's basically just Repeating the steps okay, so once the hair is nice and detangled okay, I just use a nail brush, because these babies heads are really small, but the nail brush is pretty firm. So this is a manicuring brush. I use it a toothbrush for styling the perimeter baby hairs I'll just take a little nail brush and I'll just start gathering her ponytail and just making it nice and neat. Okay after I gather her ponytail, I'm gon na take some little rubber bands. These are just like some little colorful bands, but I'm using the clear ones. I think I might have picked these up at the dollar store, I'm not certain, but I take two of them and I gather the ponytail that I just neatly. Combed and I'll put the band on. I wrap it around like three times now. With this little thing, that's left behind. Take your comb and again start at the bottom work. Your way up to the top. You can give it just a little tug there, but there you go. She has a nice formed ponytail there, all right now for baby hairs. We'Re gon na leave this out because this is like a little tender okay, so this baby was rooted with mohair around the perimeter, human hair everywhere else, so I'm just gon na comb down the mohair, as you can see - and just you know a little toothbrush just To shape it along the sides of her face, this will dry and you can kind of like just move it around with your fingers after it goes to fluff it now for the tendril. I'M just gon na lightly lightly wrap it around my finger so that it forms a cute little curl be careful with that all righty all right. So that is how I style babies with kinky curly, afro hair.
