Hi guys welcome or welcome back in today's video, i will be showing how i do my low buns i'll be using a detangling brush a small tooth comb, an edge brush, some ponytail holders, my regular bristle brush and some gel. So with this style, styling on wet hair makes it a lot harder for me to get a sleek bun. So i will not be using any water and i will also be working in small sections, starting from the back of my hair. So i will add in a little bit of my eco styler gel and then i would take my detangling brush and start smoothing out those roots to get my hair to lay down on my head. Then i will use my bristle brush to continue smoothing my hair out and just put that section of hair into a ponytail holder loosely before moving on to the next section and i'll just be repeating these same steps up through my entire head and when you are Working in sections, you do not need to use a lot of gel, pretty much just use this to help smooth my hair down and get any tangles out from those roots. That way the hair won't be lumpy. When i put it into my ponytail originally, i was going to style my hair in a low ponytail, but my hair is so dirty as you can see. On my end, it's really time for a wash, so i'm going to be doing a bun in this video, but you can apply the same exact steps for a low ponytail, sleek, buns and ponytails used to be extremely hard for me to do on my hair, because My hair is extremely thick, so i had to use methods that work for me. So some of the things that i do may be different from what you may have seen. Other people do, but you really just have to work based on what works for your hair and that takes trial and error. So this is only something that i began doing last year and it would take me forever to do this style and now i'm able to do it in about 10 to 20 minutes. So now i'm about done smoothing out my entire head of hair, i'm just going over this part with my detangling brush, then my bristle brush and after i use a brush. I actually like to go in with a fine toothed comb and go over the sides and tops of my hair just to make sure that i'm getting everything underneath and that is super smooth, there's no tangles and it lays down flat. I use two ponytail holders to secure my hair and i will wrap the two ponytail holders around twice. I may have to do a little dance as i'm doing this, so i don't mess it up and so that my arms don't get tired and i can get through this after i wrap both ponytail holders around twice. I end up pulling out one ponytail holder and wrapping it around just one more time to make sure that my hair is secure. But it's not super tight because when i wrap it around three times with two ponytail holders that tends to make my head hurt - and i want to do that now - i'm just smoothing my edges and i always end up having to pull my ear down and get That piece of hair behind my ear, because it always acts funny when i put my hair in a little ponytail. Lastly, i'm taking an additional ponytail holder to pull my hair up into a bun. My buns always turn out differently every single time. This doesn't even have to be perfect. I don't try to make it neat. I just pull it up. Some hairs may still be hanging out of the ponytail holder, but i just pulled them in the direction that i want them to go and secure them with a bobby pin. I also wanted to show you guys how i tie my hair down when i'm wearing a low bun. I usually like to do my low buns at night. That way, i can put my hair tight on and let it set so it'll be nice and sleek. When i get up in the morning since gel does have water in it as an ingredient, when i go out immediately after doing my buns like during the day, if i were to style it during the day, my hair tends to get frizzy, because i live in A very humid environment, so i like to just tie it down and style it at night that way, the gel in my hair can completely dry and i don't have to worry about the humidity taking over okay and now that i've showed you guys how i tie My hair down show you my results as well and go ahead and end the video here. I really hope you all enjoyed it. If you did, please give this video a thumbs up and remember that your support helps me out so much more than you know. And yet she still wasn't enough. . .: You lost me at no water but I continued watching to see how it turned out and the results were really cute! As a natural with thick, highly textured, waist length hair, I know my hair needs water to even be pliable! I wear a bun pretty much all the time due to my job and my program in school (hair can’t be in our faces) so I have become the bun queen but it is always nice to see other techniques. Thanks for sharing!
