Welcome back to EricaTV

Today i wanted to show you all how I achieve the perfect sleek ponytail using braiding hair! This DIY ponytail using braiding hair is relatively simple and doesn't take too much time!I Love the sleek braided ponytail look because you can wear it with many different looks and it just looks so good. I decided to do this method because all of the others were not working well enough because my natural hair is too thick. I have not seen anyone else do this method and it was something i thought of on the spot, but correct me if i am wrong and someone else has done it before. This is the best baided ponytail method for thick hair!

Hey guys welcome back to Erica TV, and today I will be showing you how to get this cute braided ponytail, but before we get into this video make sure you hit that subscribe. Button also give this video a thumbs up. If you like it - and let's hop straight into this video, so my hair is already in a slick bag, but it's a little old. So what I'm gon na do is take some shine and jam it some eco style and slick, my hair down a little bit more. But if you are doing this with your hair in its original state, I do have a video going through step by step, showing you how to do a sweet back fun. So you can go check that video out for details on how to get your hair slicked back so that it looks a nice with this hairstyle. You typically want to start this look from a fresh slicked back bun. I was just doing this for video purposes because I didn't plan on leaving this in my hair for long, but you want to do this so that your hair is as sleek as possible and you don't have your hair isn't curling up like mine is, however, I Did do this for video purposes so make sure you go back and check out my video so that your bun is nice and sleek and I'm just taking my bun out and putting my hair in a regular ponytail. So I have tried many other methods, but a lot of them are very difficult to do, because my ponytail is very thick as you can see, so I decided to create my own method. I believe if this has already created, then it's not my own, but I decided to do this and I didn't really see anybody else do this. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to braid each of the three sections that are gon na, be my braiding hair, because my hair so thick, I couldn't just start from my hair, my hair in its natural state. You could also blow-dry your hair and then you wouldn't have to do this step, but I really think this step is very important and it helped me braid my braid a lot easier because my hair was already sectioned and it was a lot easier to handle when Reading, especially if you are doing this on your own head, this just made my process a lot easier and it also helps with your hair, not sticking out of the braid. So now I'm going to take my braiding hair and I'm gon na put a rubber band in the center of the braiding hair. Then I'm going to take the rubber band and wrap that around my braids and you want to wrap it as tight as possible so that the braiding hair can stay put. Then I'm going to flip the braiding hair to the top my braids and cover my braids with the braiding hair. Now you want to make sure that the braiding hair is covered 360 around the braid, so that the braid isn't sticking out. Once you have that sectioned off, you want to begin braiding and I'm going to just take the braid and it's three sections and I'm gon na grab under as I am continuing to braid and grabbing the hair, underneath. I'M also checking to make sure that the braid is not coming out once I get to about this point in the braid. I try to flip over my shoulder and continue braiding on this side of my head, because it's a lot easier to braid the hair. When you are holding it this way on yourself, or at least that's the case for me once I get to this point, I'm going to take some braiding hair and add that into the braid, because the braid will start to thin out and you want the braid To look even all the way down, and so I'm just going to add that into the braid and continue braiding, you can add as much braiding hair as you want, and this can also make your braid longer. If you want your rates to be longer and yeah just do, however, you please you can add color, you can do really anything with adding the braiding hair. In now that I have completed braiding, I'm going to take a strand of hair and I'm gon na wrap. This around the base of my ponytail, and it's just going to cover any hair ties or rubber bands that you have in your hair and also, I feel like it, makes the look come together and look complete, so you're just going to wrap this all the way Around make sure you're doing it neatly. I was sort of being quick with it not being too neat. It was three o'clock in the morning. So that's probably why, but I am wrapping this around to complete the look when you are done. Wrapping the hair around you can seal this off with some dots of a spray or also a bobby pin, and here we have the completed. Look. I really like how this came out. My braid was a little thick at the beginning, but I thought it came out. Pretty well, I really love this method. It was a lot easier than any other method that I've ever tried. So try it out. Let me know what you guys think.
