Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel. My name is Shannon. Today, I'm gon na be showing you guys how I get a slick, a little braided ponytail, so first, I'm gon na be removing these twists that I have in these are like the lazy version of my actually really pretty twist, that I've been doing lately and I'm Gon na have that video up soon so turn on your post notification, so you can get notified about that video right now, as I'm taking them down. I want you to see that my hair is sort of like in clumps and that's gon na be really good for this specific style. Now before I do anything, I'm going to part my hair. The way I want to I'm going more for, like a side, part cuz. I feel like that's what looks nice with this style and then I'm going to section half of my hair out of the way um. So basically, the back portion and I wanted to stay clumpy, so I'm not going to comb that part out. The reason I'm not coming it out is because, when it's clumped up like that, it's sort of like condensed and therefore it won't be that hard to UM lay it down. Basically, when you're doing a ponytail, you want it to be as flat as possible, and this is an example I'm showing you guys here. You see when it's combed out how much like more hair areas are supposed to when it's clumped together. So I'm trying to keep the back clumped together so that you can lay as flat as possible and it's not as poufy. However, for the front I want to comb it out, so I can lay down with job properly and I can comb the gel through the hair with ease. Once I am done coming out the front section, I am going to mix it with the back. That is still clumped up put it in a loose ponytail and work on my edges, so the first job that I'm going to be picking up is my eco styler gel. This is the castor oil one, and it is my fav, and this is what I'm going to be using today. Basically, the majority of my hair. You guys, might find this familiar. This is because it was one of the major key players or whatever in my video, about slicking down your hair into a bun, so yeah, I'm basically gon na get a hard brush and brush this through my hair, once I'm done, smoothing there as much as possible With my hands, I'm going to tie it now into the real ponytail, which is gon na, be a bit tighter than the last one that we did and now I'm going to work on my edges. I'M just gon na get my spoolie and my god to be glued gel and I'm going to apply that I do it man. I was a bit heavy-handed, but this was hair that I was going to wash the next day. So I really didn't mind. This was a very short-term style, but it can't be kept for long-term, but I just didn't want to so. I really think how much July person I have and I'm basically going to use my spoolie to style my edges. I find that like a spoolie is the best tool for me, but I know a lot of people like to use a toothbrush and I do too, but I found that this one really gets into the nitty gritties and makes my edges laid. Also, if you guys have watched my heart to sleep down for before see here into a bun, you can recognize this technique, I'm using here of brushing and then smoothing with your fingers. This really helps me get a very, very laid look and it keeps everything, smooth and shiny and just cute once I'm done smoothing the hair, I'm going to spritz it with a bit of water and then tie it down. I couldn't find my do-rag for the life of me, so I'm using a literal, legging leg. I know the ghetto don't judge me, but it still worked either way, even though a do-rag which would have allowed me to get a better result but anyways now we're moving on to working on the ponytail and I'm first going to moisturize this. Some back piece of hair, I'm using the grow for a small to use butter just to get it a bit more moisturized and malleable and easier to braid. I'M going to divide my hair into three sections as you do, and I'm going to be working a small piece of Miley hair into the braid at the time start to braid and with each turn of the braid. I'M going to add one piece, one piece and then, when I get too close to the middle and ish, I'm going to start adding two, as you will see right now, I think yeah. I started adding two here and then keep on adding until your hair is done, and then you don't need to add any more because you don't want it to get any bigger and just continue braiding down the braid. Once I'm done with the braids I'm going to work on like the concealing parts, now you can leave your head side to be visible or you can do what I did and add a piece of Marley hair, secure it in your hair tie and then wrap that Single piece of Molly hair around the base of the braid hiding the hair tie and making it look even more seamless and sort of like professional. Looking once I've waited. I'M gon na take off the legging, we're supposed to be like any like: silk scarf or whatever, and my hair is still kind of frizzy. I believe it's because I used something cotton to try and lay it down, but also I didn't wait that much time for it to dry, but you know it works um. I would just advise that you waste a little bit longer and use a silk or satin scarf to tie down your hair anyways. As you can see here, I'm now styling it with some gold bobby pins just to make it look cute, like those girls on Instagram. I'M trying something new, I really don't. I don't know if it looks cute yet, but you know we move anyways. This is the look. Thank you guys so much for watching. I know it could have been better, but I was kind of rushing. Forgive me anyways. Thank you guys so much for watching, remember to subscribe to my channel and like this video goodbye
