Natural Hair Twist Out Hairstyles| Flat Twist Side Ponytail

Hey girlfriends welcome back so today, I'm going to show you how I achieved this flat twisted ponytail, so you're gon na need some edge control, a styler, something for your twist, as well as a leave-in spray bottle, some bobby pins and a clip. So this is a very, very old twist out that I achieved with my Shea Moisture styling lotion and I'm just gon na go ahead and refresh that old twist I'll get my curls pop and get them back revived and ready to be manipulated. Using my Jane Carter solution leave-in, it's now I'm ready to begin. My styling now go ahead and separate my hair into four large sections. The front sections are gon na stop at the top of my ears and then the two back sections will connect to the front. You guys will see exactly what I mean when we start to flat twist, so I'm gon na go ahead and just leave that other side loose, because I'm gon na flat twist my right side first, so I'm using my creme brulee as my styler. I really really like this as a styler, because it has a really nice hold without the crunch. I'M just going to rub the excess moisturizer onto the rest of my hair and begin flat twisting now. As always, I'm going to show you guys there's a little bit slower, so you guys can get a feel of what the flat Swiss really is, and it's pretty much once again, just a two strand twist and you're, just adding hair as you go and as soon As I get to the back of that section, I'm gon na go ahead and bobby pin that into place now. Moving on to the left side, I'm gon na go ahead and continue flat. Twisting this flat twist is not going to wrap around as much as the opposite side, because this is going to be a side ponytail, so I'm just going to flat twist that front section and bobby pin that into place. So that was the basic hard part. Now we're just going to get into some easy steps. I'M just going to wrap my right side over to the left to create that side ponytail, which is the reason why I flat twist it towards the left side, and you guys can see what I mean right here. I'M just going ahead and joining up the hair to begin my side, ponytail and you can either just bobby, pin this in place or I'll. Show you guys the elastic band that you can add on to really really get it secure. I personally like it without the elastic band, but whatever suits your needs. At least the most important part of this entire hairstyle is covering up that elastic band. If you up for that method, I'm just going to stretch my hair fluff it and make sure that I'm covering the majority of the elastic band that way it doesn't show when the wind blows or when people see me directly.
