Swoop Bang Low Ponytail On Short/Medium Thick Curly Natural Hair

Foreign, hey you guys it's Celia and I'm finally, back with another video, I'm going to show you how I did this super cute swoop: low, bang ponytail. So this is what my hair looks like when my friend texted me and said she wanted to get our nails done together and yeah. I need to get myself together really really quickly. I washed and conditioned my hair at the end of the ponytail a little bit, so my hair would be stretched. While I got to rest, I'm going to show you everything, I'm going to use in this video, I'm going to use the melanin Hair Care styling cream for a little bit of moisture um. I'M also gon na, of course, use my goddess curls Divine Hair elixir on my scalp. I am also going to use this Eco style, olive oil gel to Slick my hair. This is my favorite gel for slicking, any type of sleek style, I'm using Eco style, um and then, of course, some. You know: ponytail holders, Clips rat tail comb, brush, detangling, brush, Etc, and I did wash and condition my hair with the olaplex shampoo and their mask. I have a full video on all their products, so I'll link that down below, but yeah we're gon na get into it now. So so I am first just going to part my hair, obviously I'm doing a swoop, so I'm gon na do a side part and then I will go in and add some of my Divine Hair Elixir into my scalp. So it's not itching in this ponytail um. My shop will be back open. I did have to close it because I was, you know, gone on vacation and stuff and obviously I have no one to fill the bottles, but it will be back open and you know available for purchase. I know now next, since my hair is starting to dry up already, I'm going to miss my hair on down with this water, because in a way I'll be able to do this little ponytail. If my hair is not wet, then I'm going to take um. Some of the melanin Hair Care style Cream onto my hair - and you know I'm obviously just moisturize the curls. I didn't like those section by section or anything like that. I really wasn't like trying to make it perfect. I just wanted some type of moisture to be on my hair. So after I do that, I am going to section my hair off from you guys will see where I do it and I'm gon na just work in that back section um and you guys will see why. So once you know, I start working on the back section, I'm basically just detangling it, and this was a thick section. I thought my Tango teaser would be able to handle it, so it it didn't, and I had to use my evolve brush, which is like a regular brush on one side and then a detangling brush on the other I'll link it down below. This is my favorite brush, you guys it's so good, perfect, hardness and everything so yeah. This brush was able to get through my thick curls because you obviously you want this to be Sleek, you don't want it to be all poofy and thick in the middle. So that's just what I'm going to do once I feel like it's detangled enough I'll go in with my eco style, gel put it all around the perimeter. Um obviously brush it on up and then I'm going to put it into a ponytail. So now, with this section, this is a really small section, so it's easier to work with I'm still going to do the same thing: detangle, it um add some gel to it, and then I'm going to put this into the rest of that ponytail that I just Did you can add another ponytail holder, but I was scared. I might get a headache, so I just took my ponytail out and then redid it with this added section, good, I'm gon na try. This is my time so now that the ponytail is in, I am going to do my edges. I'M going to do it off camera, though so you guys will see right here. I did do them um super cute. I have to focus like really close in the mirror. You guys in order to do my baby here. So sorry, where are you now with this section where I'm going to have the swoop I'm after I detangle it, I'm going to part off a section so that I can use that for the swoop, and I should have known to leave out a little bit more Hair than I did you guys will see, as you know, we get further into this video but yeah make sure you leave enough hair out. So you can have a nice perfect swoop. This. My hair is thinner and finer on the top, so yeah um - I don't know what I was doing, but I am going to repeat the same steps. Add the gel um slick this on down. I am going to use a second ponytail holder for this part. I didn't want to mess up my ponytail by taking it out again, um just make sure you guys not to put anything too tight. Okay. I know we want things Sleek, but we don't want it to be at the expense of us having a headache and you know being in pain, so yeah hello. So now I'm gon na work on the swoop piece and, like I said I wish I would have added a bit more hair for this section um, but I was still able to make it work. So I'm just going to slather this piece in gel because it's the most important piece um and once I have it all slathered and coated, I'm going to start placing it on my head. How I want the swoop, so everybody does their swoops differently, some people they have their swoop, covering they eyebrow. Some people just have a little baby swoop like, however, you want to do your swoop is perfect. I wanted mine y'all, we'll see how I wanted mine. Okay, um, so yeah just place your hair, where you want it and just literally like Smooth it down with your hands with your brush to um, and I was trying to figure out how to like. Pin this because part of my hair would like poof up. I guess or kind of lift up you guys will kind of see it. So I ended up twisting this and then pinning it with a bobby pin and you guys will see the process um. So that's what worked for me. I know some people put a rubber band um, you could do whatever the heck works for you, but this is just what I did and then, after that I literally just go in, and you know play with the Swoop a little bit perfect. It make sure it's exactly the way I like foreign scarf on my hair for a little bit. I should have sat underneath my hooded dryer, but I was in a rush because my friend was waiting on me, but this did Lay It Down um. While I I think I did my eyebrows and stuff um so once I take that off, the style is basically done. My Curls look pretty darn good in the back, but I was like you know what I want a little bit more poppage, so I went in with some Eco style gel and literally just took random pieces all around that ponytail and um. I was able to you, know, make it just pop a little bit more, I'm going to show you a little bit in this video, but I did the rest off camera and then I'll come back and show you guys. The final look, I just waste. My time. All right, you guys, so this is the final look I loved it. I thought it was so cute. It came out so good um, so yeah. I was happy with my results. So if you want to be able to preserve this literally, all you have to do is just tie a scarf around your hair. Wake up and you're good. You might have to touch up your edges or, if you want touch up your ponytail um. As far as the curls go but yeah, this is a style that literally can last you a week um and it's cute. I got a lot of compliments. This was after I got dressed and you know to put on a little bit of makeup and earrings and jewelry and stuff, so I'm doing another spin around.
