Hi guys welcome back to my youtube channel today's video, i'm going to show you guys how i did this side part ponytail. If you're not subscribed, go ahead and hit that subscribe button. As you can see, it is a little sideways, but we'll get into that into the video. So first you're going to start out with some freshly blown hair. I am all natural. I did a still press not too long ago, so my hair is a little more straight right now, you're going to need a wig brush a hard brush and of course, some ebn. I don't know if i pronounced that right, but all i'm gon na say is the deadhead that hair that edge control is the truth. It'S better than shining jam, it's better than jam. It'S just it's good! It'S your 6.99 worth it. I promise. So i'm all about trial and error, so i'm just taking my parting home and i'm trying to get a neat part on the side of my head. As you saw, i was teasing my edges, but i'm going to end up brushing all that into the ponytail, and i know a lot of people are probably dragging me because i was combing, my hair with rat tail comb. It'S all good. I recently just cut my hair because it was really really damaged and i'm thinking about cutting a little more, i'm not sure yet, but we'll get into that on another video. So now i'm just brushing the hair out and getting all those in between nicks and kicks kinks, nicks and kinks, whatever we're getting all that out of the hair, because you want to have a nice smooth ponytail like you, don't want a bulky ponytail, so i'm making Sure it's to my liking, i'm making sure this is what i want and then i'm gon na go in with some of that edge control and i'm gon na slap it on my hair here, i'm just making sure this is where i want my hair to lie. Where my ponytail to lie - and i'm just going to take me a thick hair scrunchie and i'm going to put that around my hair as tight as i can, because you don't want this hair to go anywhere so now that the ponytail is done, i'm just going To brush out my baby hairs, i finally mastered baby hairs like i'm not the best, but i am way better than where i was so. The reason i did this is because you guys know i have that bald spot right there that kyle licking the mid on my forehead. You can still see it a little bit, but not as much, but it still came out real, really cute. So now i'm just brushing all the flyaways into the ponytail now taking my pre-stretched braiding hair in 30 inches, i'm gon na use all three bundles and i'm gon na put the ponytail holder around the braiding hair. That'S the easier method to do that way. The hair! Don'T get tangled up, but honestly, this hair rarely gets tangled. You want to use pre-stretched hair and the only reason why i didn't add on to my uh braid to make it a lot longer than what it was. It'S because i did do ombre and you don't want your hair to be black blonde than black blonde. Again i mean that's your preference, i mean do you, but i didn't want that. So now i'm gon na take that scrunchie and i'm gon na wrap that around my ponytail that i already had in my hair. I'M gon na get it as tight as i can and then we're done, i'm just kidding, but isn't that ponytail cute. So i'm all about trial and error, as i stated before so here, i'm just taking a piece of that hair out of the braiding hair. So i can wrap it around a ponytail to give it a more natural look but you're gon na see here in a second, when i start braiding that one i should have flat ironed my hair two. I had a piece of hair that was like too thin and a braid, so i'm gon na start braiding and then you're gon na see me take it down. I am super happy that i use this hair because y'all i tried to do a video yesterday and it was a hot mess like i'm gon na leave a picture of what it ended up looking like, but it was a hot mess. You always want to have a nice big braid. I do not like skinny braids. I just think that's not cute. I don't know i just like a thick braid, especially if you have really thick hair, so i'm just going to braid this hair all the way to the end and then i'm going to end up putting a rubber band at the end, because i didn't want to Burn the ends i just felt like that was tacky, so yeah. Let me stop till i get in the chat watch so so now i'm going to take this piece of hair that i left out before and i'm going to wrap that around the ponytail. Now, let me let you guys know where i messed up at. I shouldn't have braided it to the side, because that made the hair kind of go sideways. I should have braided it straight down in the back and then brought it to the side, but it's all about learning to learn and experience. I never really done this hairstyle before i've done a ponytail before, but i never did that a braided ponytail before so here. I'M just slapping some more that edge control on my baby hairs and i'm giving myself some baby hairs. Like i said i have mastered baby hairs now, just a little bit. I ain't the best, but you see that you see that so now we're gon na move on to makeup. I haven't done my makeup in a minute on this youtube um channel, so i'm just gon na not really talk as much because you guys already know my my routine. If you don't know, basically, i just do eyebrows prime eyeshadow color correcting foundation, concealer contoured. The whole shebang and that's kind of about it besides my lipstick and a little bit of blush, so i'm not going to talk too much this video until i get to the foundation, because i want to speak on my new foundation now i have been using the Anastasia beverly hills foundation lately, and i must say i am in love with it like i love it so much compared to every other foundation. I ever used julia's place, um maybelline nyx, it doesn't matter. This stuff is wonderful. I needed a break from the matte look and this foundation just does it for me. It really do changes all right.
