How To Attach A Drawstring Ponytail?

Hello and welcome to my pretty gray hair channel in today's video i am going to attach a drawstring ponytail. I keep it in the package that it came in just to keep it nice and keep the hairs all smooth and it'll it'll last longer. If you do that, and this one is called foxy silver - that's the color, but it's a like a loose wave. It'S a loose way before we get started. In my last video. I have mentioned that i take this ponytail holder out at night, so my hair will dry on the inside, but i didn't do it last night because i had a i had to get up early this morning and i didn't want to have to wet it and Jelly, even though it's quick - but i just didn't feel like doing that, but usually i take it out so, but what i did do was untwist it, but it's still a little damp inside, but tonight i will take it off. I will take it off, so i am going to twist it and i'm going to twist it tight, because what i found out, if it's, if you, because some people have their hair, is going to be longer and thicker. So what will happen is when you attach your ponytail, it's going to be high, and if you don't want it to be that high, then you need to braid it braid it and kind of wrap it wrap it so it'll be smaller. You want your base to be smaller. If you don't want your ponytail to be high, i don't mind mine if it's high, but i'm just letting you guys know okay. So how do you attach it? What what way do you do it? So this is how it looks when it came out right here. That'S your drawstring, and this is like a little button thing and it's on the bottom. Okay, so you have your drawstring this little button and then right right under or on top of there. You have a comb and then on the top. You have a cone so where the drawstring is and this button that's the bottom. So you want to attach it from the top. So i'm going to attach it and i'm going to open it up and i want to let you guys know. Usually i will cut this. Do you see how short it is right now and then, when it's when i draw it, look how long it is. I don't want, i don't like this much left over, but this is a newer one and i i haven't cut it, but i will and you have to watch where you cut it. You got ta because if you cut it too short and then you wanna, if you have a lot of hair and you open it up, you're gon na lose the drawstring and then it's not gon na close, it's gon na be lost in there. So you have to be careful of that. Maybe i'll make a video and show you how i cut it. Okay, just have to be really careful, so i'm gon na again here's my the comb inside okay - and this is the top because there's the bottom so there's the comb and i'm just going to slide it underneath that base underneath my uh ponytail holder, i'm sliding it Under there, okay, so it's attached and then i'll turn around, and here is the comb for the back and there you see the drawstring. So then, i'm going to take the cone and i'm going to slide it and push it right under the base of that ponytail holder: okay, okay, here's your string and there is the button. So i'm pulling the string see how long it is and then and i'm pushing the button up. Let me show you that again, there's your there's the button and i'm holding the drawstring really times and then i'm pushing the button in as far as i can go and there you go and so it's attached and see. I don't like all this left over, but i will create another video to show you guys how to cut it, so you won't have all that to worry about now. I that's easy and i think this looks really nice, but to get a polished look. I take a nice section of hair from i like to go from my left side. So i take this much and then i wrap it. There was a bobby pin in there from the last time that i had it up and i wrap it, and so the hair that end here you just want to tuck it. Underneath you want to tuck it right underneath see that, and then you can just secure that with a bobby pin, and that gives you a more polished look, i feel like it does i like it like that, instead of just having a ponytail sitting on it sitting On it, just gives it a more finished. Look in my opinion, and that is all you do. The steps that i shared in my previous videos of how to um prep your hair for um, a ponytail are very important because you want a smooth look like you. Just came out of the salon and you can do it and we all have different textures and of hair and thicknesses of hair. But if you follow those steps you will have a nice finished. Ponytail, look, you can do it. I know you can so try it and i always have told my my cut clients when they're trying something for the first time. Don'T do it like when you a few minutes before you have to leave you're going to get frustrated if you're going somewhere, try it on your day off or when you're bored or don't have nothing to do. That'S when you try it and just keep doing it. Try until you succeed and you can do it - i know you can - i have faith in you that you can do it, and this is very simple.
